we came with the express purpose to praise you and to magnify your holy name we come to celebrate the death burial and the resurrection of our lord and savior jesus the christ the lord we want to thank you for leadership tonight in the person of apostle hermannell murray lady danielle as we clap our hands we thank you for the legacy of apostle obeisan evangelist shirley mary as we continue to clap our hands now dear lord we pray that you would move from the beginning of the service to the end get into every hand clap every foot stomp every thank you jesus anoint your preach word send it with power and authority save like only you can and set the captives free now father those that own their way lead them safely and got them in jesus name we pray let us all say amen god bless you my is my strength hallelujah give an honor to god and to our leaders apostle and sister murray and to the legacy of the late great apostle murray and his wife dr shirley murray and all those under the sound of my voice i'm so excited to be here on a big old sunday night because you see it was a sunday night about 46 years ago that the lord came into my life in my husband's life the same night and filled us both with the holy ghost and that was a burning part you know about two weeks before i got saved i began to think about my life i said i just fell down on the middle of the floor in my home and i said lord you both burned me with an i bless me with a beautiful home a wonderful husband the best job i ever had but still there's something missing in my life i said i don't know what it is but there's something missing in my life and don't you know a couple of weeks after that i received a call from sister ruthie wills and she invited me to church she said now if you come you're going to receive a blessing well you know i've been in church all my life you know i have been hallelujah working with the young people trying to sing in the choir talking about a man called jesus that i really didn't know i said what is this all about so i came expecting i came expecting to get my blessing don't you know the lord he didn't disappoint me when i got here glory to god on that big old sunday night on florida road it was a small church but i'll tell you the rv seat was built but the seat for me and my husband and we got saved and filled that night you know and i remember what apostle said the other night he said that uh you know he was talking about marriage and he said that you should be submitted submissive to your husband submitting one to another and submissive to your husband so about 12 years after we had been here my husband said it's time for us to go back to ohio that was where we were born and raised we said we got to go back there because our our parents are ailing and we need to go and see about them so that's what we did it was so hard but you know as i was leaving a sister said that same holy ghost that's in honolulu texas is in ohio so you're going to be all right hallelujah so i went to we went on to back to ohio we were there for 10 years but one person said to me you know your body may be in ohio but your spirit is in texas you know we deserve to come back glory be to god and don't you know every year while i was gone the lord would make a way for me to come back for the convocation free of charge my child would make it possible i thought that was a blessing you know and after 10 years the lord worked it out that we could come back to texas oh my goodness i think about the word who said hallelujah that's seeking first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all else to be added unto you we didn't come here for a job we came to be in church we came to serve the lord and don't you know as soon as we come back god bless us to get our jobs back that we had 10 years before you know god did it god gave us back our job that we had not only did he do that he gave us a brand new home he fixed everything he gave us everything because he said if you put him first everything else will work out so we came back we came from ohio i remember how apostles used to say they'll come from the east the west the north the south when we came from the north so we're going to i've got to tell you about a testimony also of someone that came here from the east her name is sister paris uh uh sharif a former muslim a hallelujah she came she as many people every sunday we hear people coming from all over the country and all over the world to full gospel and she came twice i met her on the second visit uh we exchanged numbers and she called me and sister sylvia coleman who i was with introduced me to her and she said i got something to tell you i said what is that she said you know sister coleman sent me one of those holiness is still right sign she said she saw it in one of our members a yard and she desired one so she got one senator won all the way to delaware you say well now what is that all about well sister ferrar lived in a court fahim fahima lived in a corner house hallelujah and she put this sign in her front yard and do you know what that this has just happened just monday she put the sign in her front yard and you know what there was an accident in her yard but you know that one car came all the way up into her yard do you think anybody got hurt no the hallelujah the sign was facing uh the car was facing the sign and the lady that was in the car jumped out came to sister for uh fahima and she said pray for me pray for me and sister for re uh uh sister schwartz got a chance to pray with her and to witness to it you know all because that sign you say why are you saying all this all the signs said holiness is still right holiness is still right hallelujah is being promoted not only here all over the united states all over the world that holiness is still right i thank god for that so i believe that holiness is still right you know i want to say this just yesterday i wrote to a sister in in germany telling her about our church and the last thing i said to her i said you know i may be prejudiced i said but i believe that full gospel holy temple is the best church next yeah next to heaven and i believe that we have the leaders that are next to heaven i just praise god for being in this ministry and ask you to pray my strength in the lord come on let's give evan this day every parent a great big candy come on let's get full gospel holy temple a great big hand and now we're going to receive the temple worshipers come on put those hands together for jesus hallelujah praise the lord everybody praise the lord everybody come on can we give god some praise in the house tonight thank you jesus come on we can do better than that let's give our great god a great praise in the all about i found that if you just get back and let the lord have his way he'll take care of the rest amen you know you can preach for three hours and nobody's guaranteed to get saved amen but if you step out of god's way and let god do what he's going to do amen he has a way of touching hearts and and changing lives and i tell you amen we are better because we were in the presence of the lord today and again i want to thank and honor god for all of our guests and our friends that are here with us amen today i met people amen today amen from all over god bless you amen and if you're still here with us amen we certainly appreciate the lord for you being in service with us we often say we would have had church anyway even even if you weren't here but it wouldn't have been the same and we thank god for bringing us together amen we thank god for our first lady today amen clap your hands for her certainly amen we're honored today is it's still her birthday amen and we thank god for later danielle amen celebrating another year of life and god has been faithful hey oh come on clap your hands he's been faithful and we thank god amen for his faithfulness and i want to give and quickly get into the look at somebody and tell them neighbor there's a word from the lord amen that i am a lover of the word of god you got yours i brought mine amen hallelujah hold that power up tonight thank god because everything else is going down everything that is but what everything but the word of our god amen and in times like this amen we need something to root us and ground us because these are the times when the bible amen said in the last days men's hearts would fill them for the fear of the things that are coming upon the earth and you see that stuff happening now amen people it amen that the plague is bad enough man the virus is bad enough but you got a lot of folks sick from the fear of the virus amen the world is already on fire burning to the ground but you got folk that are sick because of the fear of what's going on in the world amen we need something that's going to anchor us and there's nothing like the word of god amen jesus said when you see all of these things amen don't be troubled amen isn't that good news amen he already told us in the word this stuff is going to happen he said but when you see it don't be troubled amen uh but just look up and then what he said in luke the 21st chapter the 38th he he says look up because your redemption draws nigh that's what anchors us in times like this amen it is the assurance and the reassurance that we get when we amen open the pages of the word of god the book of saint john's gospel i want to call your attention to the 15th chapter amen that's in john chapter number 15 and i just want one verse of scripture in your hearing and that is the 13th verse that's saint john's gospel chapter number 15 verse number 13. amen we came to remember tonight amen so many times we get caught up in and all that and you know he does so much and that's the thing about god god does so much for us he wakes us up he continues to be good to us he blesses us every time we turn around he's doing something special for us amen if he's not if he's not opening doors amen he's making ways if he's not making ways he's blessing us financially if he's not blessing us financially he's touching us and giving us strength in our bodies if he's not doing that he's blessing our family members and bringing them through circumstances and trials and tribulations if he's not doing that he's moving us from one job to the next so so we can sustain ourselves and support the work of if he's not doing that he's pulling us out of those chaotic situations amen when you thought you were getting ready to collide with somebody and don't even know how your big old car missed that big old truck he's always doing something for us always always something to talk about always some shout and dance that's just the kind of his mercies the bible said a new everyday always something to shout and dance about but you know jesus said there's something i do want you to keep on your mind though he says as often as you do this do this in remembrance of me we testify about so many things and i certainly enjoyed that testimony tonight amen from evangelist parent talking about how the lord came in and delivered her and i thank god amen all these many years later that is still the greatest testimony she can give that's the way it ought to be it doesn't matter what god does for you amen and testify but the greatest testimony you can give is that one day he came into your life sanctified your heart to the truth and delivered you and set you free it doesn't matter what all else he's done he said when it comes down to this this is what i want you to remember saint john the 15th chapter and the 13th verse when you have it say amen let's read that together tonight greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends boy that's a powerhouse scripture there that deserves to be to be read one more time that felt good coming out didn't it let's read that one more time let's go greater love hath no man than this that a man laid down his life for his friends i just want to talk tonight about that greater love amen just just let me talk for a few moments i promise you i won't prolong the time but there is a greater love people have have experienced love on so many levels you know you you you got the the love of of of a husband a full wife and we talk tuesday night come on back tuesday amen we we talked tuesday night about how how how involved that love is the bible says husbands ought to love their wives as christ loved the church and gave himself for it so that that's there's a very very strong love that he requires a man to have his wife there's the love of a of a mother for her children and i'm telling you if you really want to see a woman stir it up you mess with her kids there's a there's a certain love the mother has for her kids she'll she'll defend her kids she'll show up at school amen and and walk on the playground and tell her show me which one was bothering you hey amen that there's a love that they're it's a love of of of of of a natural a man for somebody else that they are caring about there's a care and a concern that we should have for our neighbor that's all kinds of love amen there's a love of food love of pets amen love of pleasure but the bible says out of all the loves that a person can experience there is no no greater love that a person can express than their willingness to lay down their lives for their friends and that's what i i just want to talk about that greater love tonight and i want you to understand as i as i heard tonight amen that it is it is the understatement of the century to say that you are loved you have no idea just how much god loves you and you know it's important to say things like that because we're living in a time now when people are so so starved for affection aren't they willing to do anything just to feel like somebody cares about they're willing to sell themselves sell amen their their self-respect they're willing to sell themselves amen to the highest bidder or the most likes just to feel like somebody's concerned about them but you've got to know tonight that you are loved i wish i could get you to tell somebody close to you just tell them neighbor you are loved you you're loved and this is that says no ordinary love you are loved and can i say this to you tonight god loves you and god loves you hard he loves you so much amen that your mind cannot fully comprehend amen just how deep the love of god is the bible amen says that his love is beyond our ability to even understand you don't even understand what is the height and the depth and the length of god's love towards you and while we're walking through this world with low low self-esteem and amen a sick sense of self-worth i want you to know that if nobody told you today that they loved you it does not change the fact that there's somebody that's sitting high amen that's willing the absolute best for your life he cares about you you've got to know amen it didn't just stop amen but the fact that god would choose to fashion us and to form us amen in his own likeness and after his own amen pleasure and will he means you've got to know that you sit as the pinnacle of all of the created order that's why the psalmist could ask the question what is man that thou what's so mindful of him the son of man that you visit here the bible said we were made just a little lower than the angels but yet and still we are the cream of god's creation and you've got to know that tonight child of god amen we were created in his image and we were created for a higher purpose and you've got to know tonight that god created you amen with a higher purpose he created us amen not just a shout he meant not just amen to running death but to live the kind of lives that are pleasing to god amen we are not just animals and even i hate to hear people refer to us in terms that even we're just a higher order amen i'm a monkey amen we're just an elevated form of of animal but the devil is alive we are created in the image of god and we have a greater purpose in this world you've got to know amen that the devil despises the purpose for which god has created us he hates the fact that god loves you so much amen we wonder why it is that the devil can't can i tell you it's not because you're cute it's not because you got a whole lot of money hey man you've got people that never hated them because cause god doesn't bless me with all this stuff listen that's not why he remember the devil don't like you he could care less about your car he could care less about your clothes even he could care less about your fashion the reason why the devil hates you is because you were created in the image of god because god loves you so much amen every time the devil looks at you he sees god's creative purposes in your life he knows that god has ordained that we amen take up the responsibility of living lives of perfect praise before our god and so what the devil has always desired to do amen was to thwart god's plan amen in creating and calling you even the devil have always desired amen to get back at god amen by causing his greatest creation to fall to falter to backslide to sin to transgress and to turn their backs on the purposes of our god you've got to know that it didn't just start last week amen this is a desire that the devil had had since time even first began you look at what happens when we consider the third chapter of genesis after god created man and placed it in such a perfect environment the bible said that in comes the tempter in comes the deceiver and he comes in amen and it's his desire it's his will it is his aim it is his goal to get man to turn their backs on the love of god and you've got to know that this is still satan's desire even he's still working on people today because he never wants us to turn towards god he always wants us to turn away amen from god he wants you to disobey the commands of god he wants you to turn around amen and choose to do it your own way rather than to live the life that god has called for us to live the bible said he finds himself in the garden and look at eve and had amen in the god a perfect place that you got to see this now amen it is a perfect environment there is no sin there's no lack there's nothing that they want they mean everything that they could desire it is bad the bible said that god says to adam and eve of every tree in the garden you can eat of except that one tree oh god and i don't know what it is amen about that one tree amen but that's the way human nature amen is right now in spite of all that god gives us in spite of all that god says amen that we can do you know the one thing we want to do is the one thing god said stay away from i don't know but it's still the fact now amen that our eyes can't seem to get away from looking at petal one tree look at somebody asking neighbor what is it about that tree i'll tell you what it is it's the fact that that's what god said don't do and we're seeing it now even even in this current circumstance and i heard one psychologist say that it is just human nature to resist mandates oh god y'all don't got quiet now amen you start telling people you got to do this and you know what you're going to see amen just what you see and now amen our god how they have have extolled the virtues of being rebellious and now it's coming back even now understand you got to do it but you know it's just human nature to say you don't tell me what to do amen but you've got to realize brothers and sisters whatever god has declared whatever god has ordained it is always for our good and can i tell you you can't ever do better than falling in line with the will and the word of the lord and the bible says in genesis the third chapter that satan comes in amen and he tempts eve by causing her to consider that one tree he says to her did god say that you couldn't eat of any tree in the garden and listen i keep telling you the one thing that you never want to do is to get into a conversation with somebody as deceptive as the devil oh no i used to hear apostle myles say it he said the best way to deal with the devil is don't deal with him at all amen and look at how satan now has captivated her mind the bible said she looks at the tree and she sees that it is good for food and it is desired to make one wise and the bible said that she takes up the tree and she eats it and then she gives it to her husband and look at po adam didn't put up a fight even adam didn't exchange words adam just eats the fruit amen and now the world is plunged into sin and you look at what god says when it comes to adam he says adam where are you adam said i'm over here hiding god said what are you hiding for it's because sin always brings about a shame well y'all don't got quiet i said sin always brings about a shame sin will cause you amen to live insane even sin will cause you to be so bold doing it but not bold to accept the responsibilities of the actions that you committed and look at what god says god says to adam and eve amen you've got to get out of here because if they ate of that tree of life can you imagine amen man in a sinful condition amen in a rebellious condition but now he reaches and he eats up the tree of life now he'll live forever in a sinful state he would have lived forever in a rebellious state and god said i can't have it because remember god hates sin and what god would not allow is man to live forever in a sinful state and so god drives them out of the garden and when it drives them out of the garden now amen you look at the state of the world the bible said that adam and eve conceived amen and they bad children but look at their children look amen and how satan tricked him the bible said that king now he man hates his brother abel and he kills him in the field they never expected when they ate up that tree that this is what was going to happen and can i tell your sons and daughters you never ever understand the full consequences of sin and that's what makes sin so deceptive it's because it's so fun while you're doing it it feels so good while you're doing it but the reality is you cannot fully comprehend even all of the consequences that are going to come from that sinful action and the bible says now abel is dead but then you go forward and you look at the sixth chapter of the book of genesis the bible said that man amen was evil his thoughts were only evil continually amen in every thought and every imagination of his heart was wicked amen in the sight of god it only took six chapters into the bible before the whole world has been corrupted how god man was plunged into sin and this is a state that god didn't create them he meant to occupy did man have to sin the answer is no but what does the bible tell us he tells us amen when lust is conceived then it brings forth sin and when sin gets finished it brings forth death and now you see man in a fallen state but this has never been god's will for mankind and the bible says that god amen in his mercy and in his grace he decided amen that he himself hey god you're getting quiet here would provide a way for mankind to be reconciled back to god can i say this to you there's nothing that man could have done himself there's nothing that you could have done yourself and you still got people dependent on their goodness depending on how smart they are amen depending on how much scripture they can quote but none of that is going to get you back into a right place with our god or no god had to act himself and that's why saint john the third chapter and the 16th verse says for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever would believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life that's the reason we celebrate tonight that's the reason we can shout tonight it's because god loved us enough to give us his only begotten son and look at us the same and sanctified because of the sacrifice of god that christ made at calvary but you've got to look now amen and understand what it is amen that calvary is all about oh god adam and eve got us in a pretty bad place amen if they hadn't known that taking that one fruit amen that one bite was going to plunge the whole world into darkness what they have done and i don't know but all i know is now man is born in sin and he's shaping iniquity but god had a plan and this is what i love about god amen god didn't wait for us to get ourselves together the bible said in the book of romans that while we were yet sinners christ died for us and that's what i want somebody to know tonight it doesn't matter amen what your it is it doesn't matter amen what your sin is it doesn't matter amen what your advice is christ loves you so much that he died for you he y'all getting quiet here he didn't just pass out like some people think he did he died to save you and to save me and that's why tonight you can be delivered you can be saved you can be brought back in the fellowship with god because god made the way [Applause] when you look at what calvary truly means it means that god first of all hates sin he hates it in any form and you you've got to know because there's some people that think that they can live they can exist amen still living in sin and still walk with god they think that calvary does not mean that god actually hates sin but the bible said he that knew no sin was made to be seen for us what you see hanging on a tree is sin that's why the bible said it pleased god to bruise him it pleased god to crush him because in crushing him he was destroying the sin that had all of us bound and i don't care if you went to sunday school all of us were bound in sin so the bible says in romans the third chapter he said oh have sinned that means everybody the black man the white man the rich man the promise the educated the uneducated the vaccinated and the unvaccinated everybody had fallen into sin that's why he had to die and i'm so glad that he did the bible said god gave his son this is god's willingness to give his son to die on a cruel cross for you and for me and this is why we're here tonight this is why we celebrate second sunday night this is us coming together in a corporate way to say to god thank you for doing for us what we couldn't do for ourselves the bible said that for 33 and a half years jesus walked through this world matters that he did good showing people the love of god the compassion of god showing men how much god truly did care for them amen the bible talks about how he would meet different needs some sometimes he would walk by blind people and without them even asking he would he would just bring them to me and the bible said he would heal him and open their eyes he would interrupt funerals and on their way to the cemetery just stop the whole funeral and lay hands and raise a dead man from the grave the bible said people were hungry and jesus said you got to give them something to eat what do you have we don't have nothing but some fish and some bread breaking fish and bread and on two separate occasions feed five thousand and feed four thousand respectively he went about doing good lapras that nobody wanted to even be around the bible said they would ask him lord i want you to make me clean and make me whole the bible said jesus wasn't worried about amen contagion he wasn't worried amen about viruses spreading you know what he did he laid hands on lepers amen that's contagious as they were he laid his hands on them and the bible said he cleansed them by the spoken word and looked at what happened the bible said not only that but lazarus died his own friend walked up to the tomb of lazarus and called lazarus out of that grave he went about doing good a woman comes to him daughter vexed with a demon he tells her to go away a daughter it's made whole the devil comes out he went about doing good but i come to find out that even though you do good that's no guarantee that everybody is going to like you sometimes the reason why folks hate you is because they think you're too good they think y'all don't got crying they think you're too good they think you're thinking more of that heart got you up upsetting and disrupting amen system and the bible said they sought to kill jesus they couldn't stand the fact he meant that he was healing folk and they didn't have nothing to do with it he was feeding people he was opening blinded eyes because they were losing their religious grip on people's minds the bible said they sought to kill him can't you see somebody doing good they hate him so bad they're looking for an opportunity to destroy him and oh they found their opportunity in a man named judas i think about judah sometimes judas was there when jesus raised the widow of nang's son from the dead judas was there when he fed the five thousand judas was there when he stealed the storm but none of that could keep judas from being as treacherous as it turned out to be and the bible said they found a man named judas who walked with jesus and talked with jesus and traveled with jesus amen and he told them how selling for 30 pieces of you know what 30 pieces of silver that's the price of a runaway slave judas sold your savior for 30 pieces of silver no more than what you would get if your servant ran away and somebody brought him back and that's the reward for runaway servant oh god don't seem like much at all does it i keep trying to tell you but there are people today selling jesus out for a whole lot less than that some folks selling them out for a whole lot less than than 30 pieces of silver some folks selling them out hey man for some weed and hey man some folks selling them out for pornography some focus and ain't got nothing to show for it just wanted to sell jesus down the river just to have these carnal pleasures the bible said judas sold him and said it's the one that i that i kiss because he's so common you may not recognize them and judas betrayed jesus with a sign of affection that's why you can't mind people patting you on your back because judah sold them out with a kiss and all these folk patent you and telling you how wonderful you are you better be careful because some of them will sell you down the river the bible said they apprehend jesus and this is where the story gets dark and i imagine sometimes i wonder i can't prove it but i wonder if judas honestly thought jesus would get away i just wonder did he think perhaps because the storm couldn't drown jesus you know the bible said they went to throw jesus over the cliff one day and jesus just turned invisible and started walking through the midst of them and and and they they couldn't put they put their hands on i wonder what was going through judas's mind when he saw them actually put their hands on jesus and they led him away the bible said he was so distraught that he ran back to the high priest and said take this money back i've betrayed innocent blood and they told it that's not our problem that's your problem you see to it and the bible said he went out and judas hung himself but jesus is now in in judgment hall on his way to different judgment halls and the bible said that now that he's there they're questioning him are you really the son of god are you really this messiah that is to come and the bible said jesus wouldn't even answer them he's not talking the bible said that they didn't find fault in them they had no real cause to destroy this man so he ordered him to be beaten ordered him thinking that if they punish him that's enough the bible said they tied him to to a whimping post and and and they took what was known presumably as a cat of nine tales and this is something that they would use after they stripped your clothes off of you and tied you to what they call a whipping post with your back exposed and and with all the anger that they could muster can't you imagine people who did this kind of stuff for living what kind of mind did they have every time somebody needed whipping oh i'll do it bring them over here let me let me take my crack at them these are weighted bells at the end of this i wish you could see how heavy this was these things ain't nothing to play with got barbs hanging out of them and it was intended that when that soldier drew back and this landed on your back it would dig in when they poured it out pieces of flesh with just a ripping tan every time this thing hits your back can you imagine this thing shredding the back of your savior and and i ain't talking about two or three times across the back they just kept on beating them the bible said he never said a mumbling word 39 stripes across his back and i can just imagine that soldier taking pleasure and pride in his job and tearing open the back of your savior and mine that wasn't enough after they tore his back open you know in prophecy the bible said that they would pluck his beard out can't you imagine them coming up and just grabbing jesus by the chin and just pulling his hair out just tearing his beard out of his face and after they did all of that to spit on you talk about an insult to just spit in his face and then the blindfold him and slap him across his face and say if you're really a prophet then prophesy and tell us which one of us just hit you the bible said he never said a mumbling word this is this is a true savior this this is somebody dedicated to their mission if if that had been any of us chances are we would have called it quits right in the middle of this journey don't have to take that nobody deserves to slap me across my face but the bible said he didn't say anything but he kept on going all the way to calvary the bible said after they beat him they began to make fun of him and mock him and they said they put a robust scarlet robe on his shoulders and said any king if he's really a king he needs a crown and the bible said they planted a crown of thorns now whose mind came up with something like this you know i twisted you got to be to think of something like this but this is what they came up with to honor your savior mine bible said they put this crown of thorns on his head can't you imagine these these stones breaking off into his scalp back has already been open and bloody and now he has blood running down his head from all of the pain and all of the wounds that he's now suffered from all of these these these stones that are now sticking into his scalp that's another pain he's got to worry about but the bible says he never says a word he just kept on going as they beat him they asked the people who who should i set free you know even pilate's wife tried to warn him and i think about that god troubled her sleep and she called to him and said have nothing to do with that just man he's an innocent man don't do nothing to him but because he feared the jews even though god sent warning and said don't do nothing to that just man because he feared the jews he couldn't listen to and obey the voice of god and you got people now would rather please people than to obey the voice of god the bible said he said jesus one side and bar rabbis on the other side and said who should i set free and you know what those people saying now i wonder how many of those people ate those fish sandwiches jesus was handed out how many people in that crowd had been people who benefited from his from his miracle working power who had listened to his words as he spoke so powerfully and so profoundly but yet and still these are the ones that are saying now crucify him and give us barabbas how many of these people had just cried out a few days before this hosanna in the highest blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord and now just a few days they don't take people long to turn on you now they're hollering give us barabbas but then comes the question for the ages if you want barabbas then what shall we do with christ if that's who you want okay but now you've got to answer another question what are you going to do with christ the rabbis was a murderer the bible said he was guilty get this of insurrection give us a murderer can i tell you when you refuse love you always ask for murder you beg for death because the wages of sin is death the bible said that pilate didn't ask him that's what you want then what do we do with jesus and tonight that's the question somebody's got to answer if you reject him tonight if you say i'll take i'll take all the vices i'll take all of those cardinal pleasures all right you made your decision there's one more point of business that needs to be taken care of what do we do with jesus if you reject him and you choose something else what do we do with him there's only one answer and the people gave it crucified and can i tell you the bible says every time we choose sin and we reject him we do the same thing all over again the bible said we crucify him afresh and we bring him to an open shame that's the only answer to the question of what it is that you're going to do with jesus if you reject him you are in fact saying crucify him the bible said they put that old rugged cross on his shoulders you know the bible says curse there's anything that hangs on a tree but he went through this he submitted and subjected himself to something just like this and the bible said they got him all the way to calvary and when they brought him to calvary can't you see him stretching your savior and my savior stretching his hands as wide as they would stretch and with all of the cruelty he could muster up can you imagine somebody who could send a spike through your hand and not flinch and here is your savior my savior on that old rugged cross the bible said they put a nail in one hand then turned around and drove a nail through his other hand and then placed a nail through his feet and then lifted him up on that cross your savior my savior suspended by the weight of his own body all of the pain all of the nerves in his body that have been severed when this spike went through his hands and went through his feet that sent fire shooting all through his body but he stayed there i'd love to hear the choir sing the song that said he wouldn't come down from the cross just to save himself but he decided to stay to save me you've got to know that tonight everything that he went through he went through it for you he wanted you to understand what that greater love was all about and now every time you see that picture that i i don't like those pictures amen they've got jesus hanging on the cross looking like he's all together hair still in place and he's sitting there with just a couple of drops of blood coming down and he's looking up almost smiling that's not realistic and that that the bible said he was marred worse than any other man when you looked at him the bible said there was nothing desirable about him that's how much god hated sin but that's how much god loved you [Applause] greater love you won't find it nowhere it's greater than the love that a man has for his wife it's a greater love than a woman would have for her children greater love hath no man than this that he would lay down his life for his friends romans tells us that people don't even die for good people you got a whole lot of folks you know they live upstanding lives but that don't mean you die for them for good men some would even dare to die but god commended his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners and you got to think about that while you were still doing what you were doing he died to save you even though he knew some folks are going to look at his sacrifice and choose to walk away some folk are going to laugh at that picture of that man dying on that cross they're going to call you a fool for believing in all of those fairy tales god sent his son to die he knew that would be mockers but he died for him anyway just in case they would come to know him in a saving way because the bible said he's not willing that any should perish the worst of the worst is still greatly loved by god and tonight even if you're not safe even if you don't know him even if you have spent your whole life doing things that you know he's not pleased with he still loves you and he loves you in a real way and the bible said you won't find any greater love than that the crack house don't love you more than he does the liquor store don't love you more than he the whole house don't love you more than he loves you and if you'll come to him the bible said whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life adam sold us out and sent us away from god jesus brought us back and tonight you can be saved you can be delivered you can be set free you can now enjoy right fellowship with god because of this greater love greater love you'll find nowhere than that a man would lay down his life for his friends and that's exactly what jesus did for you and for me clap your hands and give him praise tonight stand to your feet [Applause] he didn't tell us to remember his birthday and there's nothing wrong with it he didn't tell us to commemorate the feeding of the five thousand that was a great miracle the one thing he did say is that i want you to remember that i loved you enough to lay my life on the line just for you i think about that somebody that's hearing that for the first time what a shock that's got to be to hear that somebody died for me he died he took your place it was supposed to be you hanging on that cross because the wages of sin is death the bible says all souls of mine said the lord the soul of the father so also is the soul of the son and the soul that sinneth it shall die but he's not willing that any should perish so he provided a way and tonight while every head is bowed and every eyes closed if there's somebody here maybe you need to turn your life over to the lord [Music] tonight is a good night to do it if you need to ask him to come in live in you you can do that tonight he'll set you free you want to know what real love is all about it's the fact that he didn't even want to live without you all of eternity so he provided a way so that you could once again not only have fellowship but that you would have a right to that tree of life and i'm telling you one day we'll all be able to eat of that precious tree of life we'll live forever in his presence we'll live forever with him that's why you got to get that sin out of the way now that's why he came to take all of your sins away because he don't want you to perish but you can have eternal life tonight is there testament in my blood this two years after you drink it in remembrance of me for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show the lord's death till he come wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the lord but let a man examine himself and so let the meat of that bread and drink of that cup for he that eat it and drink it unworthily eat it and drink of damnation to himself not discerning the lord's body for this cause many are weak and sickly among you and many sleep for if we would judge ourselves we should not be judged but when we are judged we are chastened of the lord that we should not be condemned with the world well for my brethren when he come together to eat tarry one for another and if any man hunger let him eat at home that you come not together unto condemnation and the rest will i set an order when i come saint mark the 14th chapter beginning at the 22nd verse and as they did eat jesus took bread and blessed and break it and gave to them and said take eat this is my body and he took the cup and when he had given thanks he gave it to them and they all drank of it shall we stand if you're not already standing tonight as we prepare amen to receive this communion tonight let us pray father we thank you for this wonderful time in your presence we honor you for allowing us to come together tonight to celebrate the death of burial and the resurrection of our lord and our savior jesus christ we thank you for the privilege of being able to be called the sons and the daughters of god we thank you for loving us so much that you would give heaven's very best just to save us while we were yet sinners while we were still alienated and separated you sent your son to die such a cruel death on such a cruel cross [Music] but god you loved us and because you first loved us we can stand here tonight and declare our love for you as we prepare to take of this cup tonight that represents the blood of our lord and savior jesus christ help us to ever remember that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin as we partake of this bread tonight help us to forever remember the broken body of our lord and our savior jesus christ because it's by those stripes that we are healed father because we know that healing is a part of the atonement tonight as we partake of this communion i pray that should there be any infirm among us that tonight let your healing anointing flow and we will forever own you before the eyes of the world will testify to your goodness and to your life changing power and it's in the name of jesus the christ that we pray and everybody say amen amen god bless you you may proceed [Music] foreign [Music] so [Music] amen if
