all of our friends are here today what's going on drop a lot he's very active today he's clapping he's clapping drama we spend too much time playing with our two-year-old at this point it just we where the banter you missed was how before we started recording matt started with the end card rather than the intro graphic and so i'm like oh we can make this like memento where the whole episode is done in reverse or backwards or in like fragments that you have to then piece together don't you think the audience would be excited by that i think that would be very confusing i think that would be even more confusing than some of the other things we've done like the arg yeah arg was very confusing so yesterday uh we launched a new channel you guys yes yes we launched food theory and this is tied into what we were talking about because in the teasers that we were putting out before the channel launched matthew and i had this debate about like how hard we should make them and matthew is like we have to make it harder we have to make it harder they're going to figure it out too fast they're going to figure out too fast they're really like he has to his credit he has a lot of faith in all of you in our whole community he's like they're gonna figure this stuff out too fast we have to hide it more we have to hide it more and i'm like why are you hiding an announcement for a new channel don't make it hard for people to watch our new channel disagree it was it was a chat the whole thing okay let us know in the comments how you feel about this because the whole challenge was you have 90 minutes like the channel's launching in 90 minutes you have 90 minutes to solve this thing it wasn't difficult but it was people sold it in 10 seconds they solved it in about four minutes which is a which which i was watching twitter as that was going on but here's the thing it was four minutes of like until the first person solved it it was like 20 or 25 minutes until the rest of the comments kind of caught on that like this person wasn't just making it up and like a bunch of people found it and then that left an hour for people to talk about food theory and be like that's a joke isn't it lol it's april first and even so even when they like so they manipulated the image that we put on twitter if you haven't seen it it's fun all you do is it's an image that looks like it's nothing but you raise the brightness and you desaturate it and stuff like that it's got coffin it's yeah it's very like fnaf-esque and then you and it reveals the food theory logo but people even saw it and they were like nah that's that's not it they're pulling our legs what i'm saying is that there's a middle ground right so the arg like it takes interpretation it's a fork and a knife which means they're which means they're carving up conspiracies it's a conspiracy theory channel you're like what that was great i love that stuff we should do a we we need to film a meme review yeah we totally read stuff we totally do um but it's it's it's a middle ground right the arg was way too hard and way too long absolutely way too hard oh for even absolutely way too hard it was so complex and it had so many steps and it was so long yeah i mean it was great and it's a great game amazing it's a great game for the like i mean actually a good number of people i mean 400 000 people played it and a lot a lot of people completed it but it was very hot it's a very it's very hard game um admittedly so like and i think it's one of those things that as an experience as a game it's fantastic i think like as a as a full-on thing if you want to tackle it and work on it like a puzzle over the span of months you can do that like that's how robust it is but it was too hard right it wasn't accessible enough this was i mean i get it it was it was 90 minutes i get it it was funny right just i just wanted a little like maybe another extra step or something hey so we're back on the couch uh stephanie is with me which is really nice hopefully we're starting to see more of stephanie again i'm all i'm thematic of our yesterday's channel lunch look there are lemons on my shirt that's a food item sometimes that's true it's at the very least a garnish yes uh before we hop into the new five nights at freddy's uh fan game that we're playing today if you haven't checked out food theory yet if you haven't subscribed please do uh we are getting such such positive feedback about the episodes you guys it's been great but also not that surprising because they are a joke because we're amazing no because the episodes are like also not that surprising because we great because no because the episodes are like a joy to watch and you don't actually say that about that much stuff online a lot of it's like depressing our other channels are you like you have to have played the video game before or you have to have seen the movie before or it kind of it helps for game theory and film theory at least if you like play the games or seeing the movies but for this channel you don't need any knowledge going in disagree you can hop into fnaf foxy bro revealed step closer analysis part two and understand completely everything that's going on i'm just saying totally accessible to the mainstream audience i could show that video to my mother and she would be like that's nice honey see right clearly indicating that she understood everything that was presented to her so you you literally don't need to know anything going to the channel which is so nice yeah you know who kool-aid man is you know what kool-aid man is but ever since honestly ever since jenna marbles stopped making content online it's been so i've been like oh is there anything fun to watch on youtube so our friend sophia hasn't put out a video in the last month it's been it's been dire straits around here but food theories actually made me really happy everybody's trying guys are fun oh no we do watch the try guys a lot we do try guys [Music] we watch a lot of our friends all i'm saying is that there's plenty of room for content that's enjoyable and fun and satisfying to watch but yeah so food theory if you haven't helped like guys we've crossed 500 000 subscribers in less than 24 hours that's amazing thank you so much it's better than both this channel's launch and film theory combined so if you want to all right fine hey i'm just saying it's doing really well it is it's great and it's one of those things that there's so many cool episodes coming up i love next week's hot dog is a sandwich absolutely i love it the week after that there's gordon ramsay versus bobby flay which is gonna be awesome i'm really happy with that one cause it's not just about them it's about reality cooking shows and the secrets behind the scenes which is like crazy when i found this out it shattered my world it i was really i was really bummed about that one actually so that was that's a good like behind like because i we're going to stop talking about the game in a second but like what i love about food theory is it it feels like every channel has added on to the channels that came before it and even the intro of food theory kind of alludes to this right where like food touches everything there's gonna be stuff we already are working on episodes about like game food we're working on movie food all sorts of entertainment also pop culture all sorts of history and celebrity chefs and then obviously like psychology of like how you buy things and like how to save money on things and how marketing is attacking you and stuff like it is such a cool channel that is touching on so many different elements of stuff we already cover like i just i'm excited about it i think people are starting to get the concept because it's weird people are so confused which i understand like theorizing about food that's a weird idea it is but when you watch it you get it but but like for a channel that's dedicated to like science and over analysis and overthinking your favorite things which is how we've always seen the theory of channels thing is always food right it just it works and there's so many weird fascinating untold stories and food that that's what we're aiming for so it's it's really really cool check it out subscribe plus there's a chuck e cheese episode in the works so you know it's kind of know what the official name is but it's a new finale fan game uh we've haven't played a lot of snap fan games lately um obviously that's something that we enjoyed doing and so there's been like a build up of a lot of them and with fnaf and chuck e cheese being back into the mainstream which is wacky but it's there um i thought we'd hop into a couple more of these uh i played an incredible one well stephanie wasn't on the couch so maybe i'll show you that one because it was great it was custom night but with all like the uh artists who do their own 3d models everything is donuts sorry still i was going to say we're done with food theory i haven't eaten breakfast yet i don't know that's the most important meal of the day i hardly ever eat or is it that's a food theory that is actually we happened so uh one thing that i want to do and let's put this on the to-do list is so the five nights at freddy's subreddit does a yearly game jam where they do like i forget how long it is but it gives people a set amount of time to produce a you know a game around fnaf and specifically it's like a game development tournament exactly and so uh they recently held it they recently crowned their winner um which i don't believe this was it but apparently if this was made for the game jam um it means there are more yeah and it would be cool to kind of showcase all of the game jam projects or at least a good number of them i think just be like hey let's let's spotlight all the work that they were doing i think that's a great idea because that's a lot of fun so write down put it on the list other son killed himself after the investigation closed what seemed wrong was that the body didn't have a fitted ace almost as if it was a empty man throwing a lot of lore in there guys holy that was a horrific story the most horrific part of it though is the fact that william afton doesn't use guns come on i know that's not that's ridiculous he's using knives i know i was like i was like oh guns
