Enshrouded vs Palworld 🔥 My Thoughts After 20+ Hrs Each

in shrouded and palor two Early Access Survival Games both released at the same time for $25 each but which one is right for [Music] you hey guys my name is Zoro and I'm a highly experienced player of roleplaying games I put over 20 hours each into both power world and in shrouded and I'm here to share my thoughts and to help you decide which game Best Suits You [Music] before we continue please note that I am not affiliated with enshrouded or po World in any way any opinions expressed in this video are formed from an objective consumer [Music] standpoint poor has a cartoony arcade style look it's in-game models and Landscape consists of simple bright colored polygons the art style is almost like a cross between fortnite and Pokémon in my opinion power world's map is a bit sparse and repetitive it does have a few various biomes like hot and cold regions but it's mostly made up of large areas that look very similar to each other and shrouded Graphics are highly realistic and more akin to what you would expect from a modern bigname game its models are detailed and well animated and its environment is immersive and jam-packed with eye-catching detail it boasts a large handcrafted map filled with unique and interesting locations all with detailed backstory in varying fauna and Wildlife pal world's character progression involves upgrading your base to unlock new craftable gear catching new Pals to help you in combat or work at your base leveling them up breeding them and training them Pals have various types and additional traits that affect their efficiency in combat and or work so you'll need to catch or breed a wide variety in order to cover all of your needs while it too involves Base building and crafting progression to lock newer better gear and shrouded is more about personal character progression as you level up you unlock skill points these points can be applied in various ways to give new powers abilities and Stat boosts to your character over time your character will become stronger and their role more fleshed out as you unlock new traits and abilities to fit your desired play style the game allows you to Branch into multiple skill trees to form unique and interesting builds you can be a ranger stalking through the shadows and raining arrows from above a tank wearing heavy armor slamming large weapons into your enemies a wizard A Healer or even a unique combination of all the above only limited by your [Music] imagination power worlds combat involves a third person shooter play style with pets that can be ridden and controlled or they can fight by your side with special abilities to support you as mentioned before each pal has specific traits and a specific type that will affect its efficiency in combat against other Pals and enemies most pal types have another type that they're either strong or weak against this is good in theory but most boss battles involve facing only one type of pal so instead of using a variety of Pals ready for any situation the game promotes stacking your team full of the same type of pal to cheese your opponents I found the lack of variety of Pals in each region to be somewhat disappointing I do believe this system will be much more interesting following the introduction of PVP since you won't be able to predict what types of Pals other players have on their team and shrouded combat is similar to many modern action RPGs and Souls light games you can block swing Dodge roll and jump attack along with a plethora of ranged abilities and items it involves careful timing of your attacks and punishing choreographed enemy attack patterns it has an optional lock on targeting system as well as health stamina and Mana bars to manage the exact style of combat will differ greatly depending on what type of character you've built for example you might play as a barbarian wearing heavy armor as you fight up close with a sword and shield or you could play as a wizard keeping your distance as you blast your enemies to bits with various magical spells while there are a few enemies with similar appearance and attack patterns and shrouded continuously introduced new enemies in Wildlife as I leveled and continued to gain access to more of the enormous map's various [Music] regions power world thrusts you into its open world without much guidance or backstory it gives you a simple tutorial panel that pushes you to upgrade your base gear and collection of Pals you unlock new crafting recipes simply by continuing to level up you have a loose goal of exploring the map and defeating all the tower bosses and that's pretty much it it didn't take long for me to get bored from the repetitive gameplay Loop and lack of backstory enshrouded gradually introduces you to its Rich systems through quests dialogue and clues found in the environment unlike po world where all you need to do is level up and shrouded requires you to complete quests and find new NPCs or crafting Tools in order to unlock new recipes and upgrades the game reveals its world through deep storytelling and objectives that keep you on more of a guided path you also have to deal with the shroud a deadly fog that prevents you from reaching certain areas until you level up your base and or remove the Shroud by completing objectives I found in shrouded pace and storytelling to be much more entertaining than pal [Music] world I spent a lot of time getting familiar with the crafting system in po world I even built a giant replica of hogwart's Castle if I had to describe P world's Base building in two words it would be buggy and simplistic you're given simple objects to work with and sometimes for no apparent reason the game won't let you put things down in Open Spaces or attach objects together as they should which can be pretty frustrating there are some cool things you can build like Factory style Machinery to put your pal to work your enjoyment here will depend on Personal Taste and patience with the buggy system [Music] two words I could use to describe crafting and enshrouded are rich and deep there's tons of objects and structures to build that fit together smoothly and easily and it offers far more than po World simple Square shaped one siiz structures depending on what they're connected to blocks and and shrouded will change their model slightly to be more realistic and immersive for example when building a floor there will be defined edges where the walls connect to the foundation but you won't see the same edges in the blocks making up the middle of the floor even though you're putting down the same type of block another thing to mention that puts in shrouded crafting above and beyond pal world is terraforming this is the ability to break down and shape the entire environment you can dig tunnels flatten out large areas and even reshape entire mountains [Music] power world runs smoothly for the most part but there are also some very big game-breaking bugs that can be quite annoying for example Pals can bug out and get stuck around your base which quickly leads to them becoming hungry depressed or sick not to mention the jobs around your base aren't getting done the crafting is buggy as well and we can't discuss performance without mentioning loading screens and server issues many players have lost hours of progress due to public servers shutting down or gamebreaking glitches occurring even in private dedicated servers I personally put many hours into one of the official public servers only to be met one day with an endless loading screen and never being able to log back into that server again this was very frustrating and caused me to lose many hours of hard [Music] work while playing and shrouded I haven't run into any bugs or glitches at all I will say that enshrouded is definitely a lot more graphically intensive than power world and it's going to require better Hardware to run at high settings but this is simply because Ed's Graphics and special effects are far more [Music] detailed warning please press the like button now to prevent the collapse of the SpaceTime Continuum as a true roleplaying game master I can confidently say that from venturing through the dark nerve-wracking shroud to thrilling Glides down from beautiful mountaintops and shrouded is much more exciting and engaging and far more detailed than po World in every aspect the crafting system is much more in depth and the story far more fleshed out for now and shrouded also has the better multiplayer system allowing you to transfer between worlds without losing progress I also prefer the art style themes and environment in in shrouded I'm personally enjoying and shrouded a lot more than po world but I am looking forward to the release of PVP and po World thanks for watching guys
