- Greetings, Pokefans! Michael here, and twice
before I have attempted to beat Pokemon games
without catching any Pokemon. Catching defined as throwing
a PokeBall at a Pokemon. This is my third attempt
of that same challenge. This time in Pokemon Ultra Moon, the first time I've played
through an Alola game since Ultra Sun and Moon came out. This challenge though was
actually already completed as a three-part series over on my other channel MandJTV Plays, so if you want to watch
my reactions to things as they happen, then you
should check out that series and subscribe to MandJTV Plays, and this channel, if you haven't already. Pretty please. The first big decision I had to make is which starter to pick. This Pokemon is going
to be my only Pokemon for quite some time, so I need one that I can really depend on. Thankfully, unlike the older games, the Alola games do not have HMs and use ride Pokemon instead. Therefore, my starter
decision is not impacted by what overworld moves it can learn. I will simply be able to pick whichever one I think
will be the strongest. I go into it in more detail in my "Best Starter Pokemon
in Every Game" video, but I firmly believe that Popplio, eventually Primarina, is
hands down the best starter for any Alola playthrough. The combination of Water and Fairy STAB just match up so well against most of the major boss battles, literally more than half of them. I named my Popplio Fabio since it's male and will someday have
fabulous hair like Fabio. The game then became a Popplio solo run which was relatively uneventful until the teacher. (dramatic music plays) Dun! Oh, that really dried out my eyes. This teacher uses a
Magnemite in Sun and Moon which also would have
been tough for Popplio, but in Ultra Sun and Moon, she always uses the starter
strong against yours which is one of the many reasons that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
are tougher than Sun and Moon. In my first attempt, my strategy
was to use Baby Doll Eyes to minimize the Rowlet's attack, dropping the power of its
super effective Leafage to make it easier to tank, and also use a lot of healing. Unfortunately, after I
spent the time getting it to -6 attack, the Rowlet landed a crit which was enough to KO. Rowlet, I love you but come on! On the second attempt I
did the same strategy, but stopped at -4 attack to decrease the number of
possible turns for a crit. This time it did not get a
crit, and I was able to win. Not long later I
discovered Totem Stickers, something I'd forgotten about
since it had been three years since I played this game. Totem Stickers are a big deal and a big benefit to doing
this challenge in Ultra Moon instead of regular Moon since as I reached certain
Totem Sticker milestones, I am rewarded with gift
Totem sized Pokemon. And since they're gift Pokemon, I'm not throwing a PokeBall at them, so they are fair game for my team. I also was not looking up
what the Totem Pokemon were as I progressed, for the most part. We'll get to that. So, there were going to
be some fun surprises for me as well. Next it was time to battle Ilima or as I like to call him Lima Bean. Fabio was able to take down his Yungoos, but not before taking a lot of damage and having his defense
halved by a couple Leers. Then he sent out his Smeargle which I was deeply disturbed
to learn knew Leafage. Because of the previous Defense
drops, Fabio had no chance. It's kind of hard to do a starter solo run during the part of the game where there are multiple
mandatory trainers whose main purpose is to incentivize you to not just use your starter. After leveling up a bit, I tried again, this time with some X items. Using an X Special Attack allowed me to take the Yungoos down, but it still dropped
my Defense by one stage before it went down. Immediately upon Smeargle entering, I used an X Defense to get to
+1 and that allowed me to win. Right before I fought
the first Totem Pokemon, Fabio evolved into Brionne,
giving me a nice power boost before the Totem Alolan Raticate. Due to Disarming Voice
having the type advantage, Fabio handled it quite easily. Hau attacked me a bit later,
and his team was no problem. Then it was time for the first
kahuna battle against Hala. Disarming Voice easily took
down Machop and Makuhita, and while Crabrawler's Z-Move was scary, Fabio tanked it fantastically
and finished it off. One Grand Trial done, meaning I beat basically
all of Melemele Island with only Fabio. After Mantine surfing to Akala Island, I met up with Samson Oak at the beach. He informed me that if I
got to 20 Totem Stickers, I would get a second Pokemon, so I rushed around to do that. When I got back Samson, bestowed upon me a Totem Alolan Raticate which I named Chipmunk
because of its cheeks. Finally another Pokemon and a wonderfully huge one at that, At Paniola Town, I battled Hau once again, and he was overall easy to take down, with Hyper Fangs from
Chipmunk leading the way. I fought Gladion just a bit later, and that was also pretty easy. And then it was time to
find the Totem Araquanid, which I was not feeling
very confident about. Things did not start great since Araquanid's Leech Life
was powerful, healed it, and was super effective against Chipmunk. I tried to take out the partner Dewpider because I was worried about
the support it would provide, but Chipmunk's Hyper Fang missed. The Araquanid then KO'd
Chipmunk with a crit Leech Life, which healed it back up to full. It was once again Fabio alone. I did some Baby Doll Eyesing, then felt that in order to win, I would need to use a Roto-Boost
to give Fabio an omniboost. After a little while of
using Disarming Voice, I finally decided to use
Bubble Beam on the Dewpider, which did way more than Disarming Voice. Somebody, not gonna name any names, forgot about the power boost that the rain provided water attacks and should have done the math sooner. I began firing Bubble
Beams at the Araquanid and soon was excited to see that it had exhausted all
of its PP for Leech Life, its best and strongest move, leaving it with only moves that
did little damage to Fabio. The summoned Masquerain
was easily dispatched, and before long the Araquanid was down and the trial was over. By the way, should probably mention this since I'm sure several
of you are wondering why didn't I pick up the gift
Eevee egg from the daycare, which was before the Araquanid trial? Well, the simple answer
to that is that I tried by speaking to everyone inside the daycare except the one person who gives it to you. I ended up assuming
that it was only a thing in Sun and Moon not
Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, so I moved on thinking
it just wasn't an option. But don't worry, I go
back and I get it later. The next event of note
was the very next trial, the Fire trial against
the Totem Alolan Marowak. This was a very easy one
with Fabio's newly acquired Water type Z-Move KOing
the Marowak in one hit. Afterwards Mohn approached me and informed me that I
could now go to Poke Pelago, provided I go through the annoying task of depositing one of my two
Pokemon into the PC first. This is really exciting
because Pokemon can show up in Poke Pelago if you lure
them there with beans. Obtaining them does not
require throwing a PokeBall, so therefore they're fair game, meaning I would be
putting quite a few beans within Poke Pelago. The next trial was the Grass
trial of the Totem Lurantis, a trial I was pretty concerned about. I knew I had to beat it with
Chipmunk and Chipmunk alone because as you might imagine,
Fabio would be screwed. My plan was to X Attack on the first turn, then use the Normal Z-Move
to hopefully OHKO it. But once the battle began, I realized I should X Defense first due to super-effective X-Scissor. On turn two I used the X Attack, held on with red HP, then fired off the Breakneck Blitz, successfully OHKOing the Lurantis. Chipmunk then easily
finished off the Kecleon, and I finally beat a trial using
a Pokemon other than Fabio. A little while later, I
arrived in Koni Koni City, which was super important because access to this
city is what would allow me to finally get a full team of six Pokemon. The first thing that happened was that I finally reached 40 Totem Stickers. This caused Samson Oak to call me, so I rushed off to the beach where he gave me a Totem Araquanid. This wasn't an ideal Pokemon to get since Fabio was already my
water type for the long haul. However, it would help
bolster my team in the interim especially against pesky grass types. I named it Bobbles
because it's got a bubble and it bobbles around. Once that was done, I returned
to Koni Koni to Olivia's shop where I bought five fossils, one of each being sold,
the maximum allowed. I headed off to the
fossil restoration park and got a Kabuto named Demon, a Lileep named Craycray, a
Shieldon named Date Tech, an Archen named Indominus,
and an Amaura named Borealis. I was distraught to learn that they were only level 15 though, compared to Fabio who was 29, which meant whichever ones I wanted to use would require a lot of training. I decided to box Kabuto
because of the Water type already overlapping with
both Fabio and Bobbles and also box Shieldon because it didn't learn a Steel type move until way later in the game,
so it wasn't helpful to me since the other fossils
were already Rock type. I definitely wanted to keep Bobbles around because it resisted Fighting, a type that half of my
new team was weak too, so I needed to take what I could get. I did a bit of training,
defeating Plumeria in the process, and then it was time to fight Olivia. Anorith damaged Fabio right
before Fabio OHKO'd it, and then she sent in Lileep. I swapped to Chipmunk to brute force it. It took a while and a
Defense drop from Crunch, but Chipmunk eventually handled it. Finally was her Lycanroc which Fabio easily defeated with a Z-Move. After arriving at Ula Ula Island, I finally returned to the
daycare to pick up the Eevee. This occurred at the
start of the second part because the comments on the
first part were what informed me that I had missed the Eevee, so thanks, guys. I hatched it and named it
Enigma because at the time what I wanted to evolve
it into was a mystery. Since I wasn't sure yet, I decided to box it for the time being. Back on Ula Ula Hau challenges me, and this time things did not go smoothly since half my team was under leveled. Torracat flinched me like crazy, but eventually Fabio took it down. Leafeon was frustratingly bulky and lived long enough to switch out. Borealis handled Noibat
before falling to Leafeon since ice doesn't resist
anything but itself, ah! Bobbles finally took down Leafeon and then Chompers beat Alolan Raichu. Then came Tauros, which
was a giant problem. It did a ton of damage to
every Pokemon I sent in, forcing me to sack Bobbles to heal Fabio, then finish it with a Z-Move. Not long later, Fabio evolved, reaching its fabulous
final form of Primarina. After a bit of Totem Sticker hunting, I was surprised to see that
I got my next Totem Pokemon at 50 total stickers
when I was expecting 60. I raced back to Samson who
gave me a Totem Salazzle which I was thrilled about. Prior to getting this Salazzle, I was really, really worried about the Totem Togedemaru trial, since not only did I not have
any super effective STAB moves if I had any super effective
moves for it at all, but also five of my six team
members at the time were weak to either Steel or Electric, Totem Togedemaru's two STAB types. But now that I had a Salazzle that could burn the Totem
Togedemaru to the ground, I was feeling a lot better. I named the Salazzle Hazmat
and swapped it in for Borealis. Aurorus is a really cool Pokemon, but Rock Ice is just such terrible typing. Unfortunately, Hazmat had a
special attack lowering nature but it was my only one,
so I was stuck with it. A little while later after
many hours of having access to Poke Pelago, I finally
had some Pokemon show up, a Hoothoot and a Pikipek, and neither of them stayed. How it works is you show
up and they're there and you interact with them, and it's like, "Ooh,
let's see if it stays." And then you come back the
next day to see if it did. And the Hoothoot and the
Pikipek just bounced. Those stupid things. But that next day when I checked, there was another new Pokemon, a Comfey, which honestly I couldn't care less about because it was a Fairy type
and that overlapped with Fabio and Fabio is clearly not going anywhere. So, of course that's the one that stayed. After some Totem Sticker hunting, it was time for the
Totem Togedemaru fight. I led with Hazmat and decided
not to Firium Z right away, instead deciding to Toxic Poison it, something Hazmat can
do thanks to Corrosion. This proved to be the right
call since it Spiky Shielded, so the Z-Move would have flopped. Skarmory gets called in, and I get the Toxic off on Togedemaru. Thankfully its Zing Zap did not flinch me, and Hazmat was able to launch
off an Inferno Overdrive, KOing the Togedemaru. A small bit of healing
and several attacks later, the Skarmory was down and Hazmat had won. Thank goodness I got
Hazmat before that battle 'cause like I was saying earlier, that would have been brutally
difficult without it. A little while later was
my first battle with Guzma in Malie Garden, and his
Masquerain was absurd, obliterating both Indominus and Hazmat, two Pokemon with super
effective STAB moves against it. I opted to use the Z-Move with Fabio to be able to finish it off 'cause I didn't want to
take any more chances. Fabio then took out the Golisopod, and once again, Fabio saved
me from a sticky situation. Kukui then gave me Primarium Z, which is more powerful than
the regular Water Z-Move, so that was nice. After a few frustrating
battles with Craycray and Indominus not doing very well, I decided not to progress anymore until they had been grinded up a lot, since they had mostly been
ineffective dead weight since getting them. Doing so evolved Indominus into Archeops which I was excited about. Defeatist is obviously really bad, but its stats are so good that it can still be really effective if it's able to outspeed
and OHKO the opponent, which is a realistic
possibility with its stats. The next trial up was the Mimikyu trial which was one I was pretty concerned about since it's only weaknesses
were Ghost and Steel, two attacks that I didn't have
any moves for at the time. However, I did have Steelium Z. So I taught Indominus Iron
Tail using the beach move tutor which I could afford thanks to my consistently
excellent Mantine Surf scores. I then found the Shadow Ball
TM outside the Mega Mart which I taught to Fabio as extra coverage. It was then finally time
for the dreaded trial. Unfortunately, Mimikyu outsped Indominus and did more than half its
health with Play Rough. This was really bad since not only would Indominus
go down the next turn since the Mimikyu was faster, but it also put Indominus
into Defeatist range which meant even if I did have a chance to get the Z-Move off, its
power would be severely nerfed. Indominus was able to
break the Disguise though, but the next turn was a disaster. My healing was immediately canceled out by another Play Rough and then a Burn from the partner Banette. I decided to bring in Hazmat originally intending to use it
as fodder to heal Indominus, but then decided to Toxic the Mimikyu. Hazmat barely held on
and landed the Toxic, only for it to be immediately healed by the Mimikyu's Lum Berry. This rag covered monstrosity
was ruining my day! I full restored Indominus
and sacked Hazmat, then brought in Indominus, tired of the constant healing and wanting to get off the
only super effective Z-Move I had. Play Rough sadly did not miss, and once again, got Indominus
into Defeatist range, making the Corkscrew Crash do
way less than it would have. I used an Archeops on my team
in my first ever playthrough of White version, and
maybe it's been too long, but I just don't remember
having this many issues with Defeatist. But in my first major
battle with this Archeops, I'm already having problems. Might I say I'm not a fan. I let Indominus go down
and brought in Fabio who could not KO Mimikyu and
was cursed by the Banette, offing itself in the process. I was forced to bring in
Bobbles to heal Fabio. I brought Fabio back in and
finally finished the Mimikyu, and then the Jellicent afterward, completing by far the
toughest trial so far, a trial that by the end
had KO'd half my team and required a lot of
healing in the process. Later when fighting Plumeria, Indominus was decimated by her Salazzle, wearing my patience with it thinner. A bit later Craycray finally evolved into its name sake, Cradily, and I taught it Seed Bomb at the tutor since now its physical attack
was way higher than special. Before long, I got up to
70 total Totem Stickers, and Samson Oak rewarded me
with a Totem Togedemaru. I was thrilled about this since Steel and Electric were two types that I didn't have on the team. I named it Mace since
Togedemaru is a ball of spikes, and I benched Bobbles as
I always intended to do. By the way, I had to
use the beach move tutor to teach Mace Iron Head because for some idiotic reason in Gen 7, the only Steel type attack that this Steel type Pokemon
can learn is Gyro Ball by TM. You know, Gyro Ball the move that does more damage the slower you are on a base 96 speed Pokemon. What were they doing with
Togedemaru's move set? Once within Po Town, I found enough Totem
Stickers to hit 80 total which rewarded me with
yet another Totem Pokemon. This one was Mimikyu,
which I named Light Slayer. I wasn't gonna use it on my main team since its Fairy type
overlapped with Fabio, but I was still really excited to get it because I was going to
use it for Ultra Necrozma, hence the name Light Slayer. Its Ghost type was going
to be super effective against Ultra Necrozma's psychic type plus its disguise ability made
it so that it was guaranteed to live for one turn. And of course it had the
worst possible nature because apparently I've sinned, and the natures of this
playthrough want to punish me. Except for Fabio's. Fabio's lowered Attack and
boost in Special Defense, so that one was actually really good. After defeating everyone in Po Town, it was time for round two with Guzma. Mace forced Golisopod
out, then came Pincer. I swapped it to Craycray, but Pincer's Fighting and
Bug moves took it down. Indominus handled it just fine though, then finished off Golisopod. Then came the vile Masquerain though, and it ruined my day again. It intimidated Indominus leading me to click the four times
super effective Rock Slide instead of the two times
super effective Acrobatics. And since Rock Slide isn't 100% accurate, fill in the blank, kids. It's 50% accurate. The Rock Slide missed, then an Icy Wind, a speed drop, and an Icy Wind later, the Bug Flying type
beat my Rock Flying type for the second time. Mace took quite a bit of damage but was able to beat the Masquerain. Gladion's attack of rage after Lillie is kidnapped
was handled swiftly, and then it was time
for the battle with Nanu which was a pleasantly swift
and easy victory for me. Aether Paradise took a
while to battle through, but most of it was fine aside
from a very rude Alolan Muk which gave me just a bit of trouble. The multi battles also
got frustrating at times due to frequent awful decisions
by Hau, but I survived them. Then it was time for the
final battle with Guzma, and my God, I was so determined not to have my Rock Flying
type faint against a trainer who only uses Bug types! Indominus Acrobatics Golisopod out, then OHKO'd Pincer. I decided to risk keeping
it in against Vikavolt and use Rock Slide, and it didn't even come close to KOing it, and Indominus was electrocuted
into the next dimension. Archeops has been my favorite
fossil Pokemon for a while, but I'm not gonna lie, during this playthrough my
fondness for the Pokemon, well it decreased. Craycray came in and outsped
and KO'd the Vikavolt further illustrating
how illogical Vikavolt's terrible speed is because
yeah, it makes total sense that this acrobatically flying
electric bug was outsped by a plant with nubs for legs. Finally, it was my nemesis the Masquerain who fired off a super effective
Bug Buzz onto Craycray. Craycray lived it though
and landed its Rock Slide, ending the Masquereign of Terror. Next was Lusamine. Mace dealt with Clefable with the Z-Move, then fell to the seductress
Lopunny's Attract and Fire Punch. The rest of the battle
was smooth sailing though. Once on Poni Island, I received a gift Aerodactyl
I had no intention of using. Then although I didn't
have to, I Mantine Surfed. If you get the top score on
all four Mantine Surf courses, you get a gift Pokemon,
which I obviously wanted. I did the hardest course and surprisingly got top score first try. I sped off to Heahea
City to receive my prize, a Pikachu that new Surf
which I named Bodhi. I then had a dilemma though, keep using Mace the Togedemaru or swap it out for a
soon to be Alolan Raichu? I wasn't sure yet, so I
decided to take my time and think about it and just
kept progressing with Mace. And then a little while after that, I made the worst discovery
of the entire playthrough! I had been under the impression that I would be able to get
all of the gift Totem Pokemon before getting to the League. And after I passed up 90 and did not get another Totem Pokemon, I knew the next one would
be once I got all of them, 100 Totem Stickers. I decided to look up what it was and it was the Totem Kommo-O, a Pokemon I was really excited to get 'cause not only is Kommo-O
really frigging powerful, it's a pseudo legendary Pokemon, but also Dragon and
Fighting were two typings that I didn't have. I was really excited to get it, but then I learned that I couldn't get it. Of all the Totem Stickers,
there is one, just one, that is found after the Pokemon
League at the Battle Tree. That meant that I would not be
able to get the Totem Kommo-O before this challenge was done. I was devastated, distraught. Just darn pissed! At this point in the playthrough, I had a lot of questions
about what the heck to do with my team. Togedemaru or Alolan Raichu? What do I turn the Eevee
into if I use it at all? What do I use instead of the
Kommo-O that I planned to use? It took me a while to
figure everything out, but eventually I did, especially after my decisions were aided by a thrilling Poke Pelago find. A Hawlucha, easily the
best Pokemon to show up in my Poke Pelago so far,
arrived at my island and stayed, and I named it Libre. I was thrilled since not only did this
give me the Fighting type that I was sorely lacking and would not have been
able to get otherwise, but it was also a Flying type, so it was the perfect
replacement for Archeops since it got rid of the
Rock overlap with Craycray, and also it replaced a team member that had really disappointed me. I am sorry, Indominus. It's just Defeatist is so bad. I also decided to keep Mace
instead of Alolan Raichu since the Steel type was
going to be more useful for the upcoming boss battles
than the psychic type. Also, I decided to make
the Eevee an Umbreon and replaced Chompers with it. Chompers had been useful, but Umbreon is just better overall. It doesn't hit as hard,
but it lives a lot more and doesn't have a four times weakness. With the finalized squad
of Fabio, Craycray, Hazmat, Mace, Libre, and Enigma, I fought my way through Vast Poni Canyon to the Kommo-O trial. Annoyingly it outsped
and Poison Jabbed Fabio, and its Berry kept my
Moonblast from KOing. I had to switch to Hazmat and sack it off, and then I brought in
Libra expecting to outspeed and finish it with Acrobatics. Libre was not faster though. And while it lived a hit,
Acrobatics did not KO. Libre went down, and I
brought Fabio back in. A lot of crits happened, but Fabio was able to
hold on and KO the beast. I used the Z-Move to
finish off the Scizor, and the trial was done. At the altar, stuff got crazy, and Enigma took down the taken over Nebby. It was then time to
head into the wormhole, but before I did, I altered my team. I modified the squad specifically to take down the brutally
tough Ultra Necrozma, consisting of Quick Claw
Fabio, Craycray, Sturdy Mace, Sucker Punching Chompers, Paybacking Enigma, and
Ghostium Z Light Slayer. I didn't expect any of them to
be good enough on their own, but I hoped the combined
efforts would be enough to take down the hardest
boss fight in Pokemon. I then hopped into ultra warp ride to try and find a white wormhole, and then this happened. Well, this is terrible. Might as well see what this is and kill it for some
experience points I guess. Oh! What? No! Are you kidding me? I can't catch it! Oh, come on. (Michael groans) I had the best worst shiny luck possible and found a shiny in
the very first wormhole that I wasn't allowed to catch. I took it down because
that was my only option besides running and then
took some time to grieve. Rest in peace, shiny Sigilyph. You were beautiful, but showed up in the wrong playthrough. After recovering from that, it was finally time for the hardest battle in all of main series Pokemon, Ultra Necrozma. Mace lived the first hit outright, but would have lived
anything thanks to Sturdy. That's why I brought it along. Allowing me to paralyze it with Nuzzle. Thanks to the paralysis
making Mace the faster Pokemon and some full paralysis turns, Mace got more damage in than
I planned before going down. I then brought in Chompers and decided to go for Super
Fang instead of Sucker Punch since I expected to outspeed
due to the paralysis, and Super Fang I thought
would do more damage. This was a mistake though, and Necrozma was still faster and OHKO'd Chompers. Enigma survived a hit and fired
off a double power Payback, but it still didn't do much. In came Light Slayer. The Disguise was broken
and I fired off the Z-Move, and it lived. Oh, oh my gosh. That was tough to see. If the Mimikyu didn't have
an attack lowering nature, if I hadn't clicked Super
Fang instead of Sucker Punch, gosh. I needed Necrozma to be fully
paralyzed but it wasn't, and it KO'd Light Slayer. In came Fabio, and at this point I realized that if the Quick Claw does not activate and Necrozma is not fully paralyzed, then I lose. I still had Craycray, but
it didn't stand a chance which meant that Fabio had to get lucky. He did not. No Quick Claw and no paralysis, meaning Ultra Necrozma
fires off a powerful attack, and the legend Fabio lives! Fabio! One moonblast later,
Ultra Necrozma was down. And my ever reliable
fabulous starter saved me from certain doom yet again. As thanks for my victory, I was given a Poipole that
I did not intend to use. For the final trial, I fought my way through the trial captains with my pre-Ultra Necrozma team. Then it was time for the
final Totem, the Ribombee. Its Quiver Dances made
it disturbingly powerful. After taking out the partner Pokemon and several Quiver Dances from Ribombee, I was certain I was doomed. However, Mace lived a crucial Bug Buzz and finished it off with an Iron Head, winning me the final battle. Not long later, I fought Kahuna Hapu, and while Craycray went
down to a Z-Move during it, overall it was an easy battle. At the foot of Mount
Lanakila, I fought Gladion, and while the Zoroark
caused some confusion and got a KO with its Z-Move, I was able to beat his four Pokemon with only three of mine. During the climb through the mountain, I encountered Necrozma
and walked right past it. This is actually the biggest reason why I chose to do this
challenge in Ultra Moon instead of regular Moon. Not only does Ultra Sun and Moon have a lot more gift Pokemon in them, but regular Sun and Moon force you to catch the box art legendary. Like, how X and Y force you
to catch Xerneas and Yveltal. This means that I knew a challenge in Sun and Moon was impossible
before even attempting it. But Ultra Sun and Moon
are a different story 'cause like you saw, you could just walk right by the Necrozma. After an emotional moment with
Fabio outside the entrance, it was finally time
for the Pokemon League. First was Molayne. Hazmat got paralyzed,
but took down Klefki. Alolan Dugtrio went for
the Z-Move against Libre, but Libre held on and decimated
it with a Fighting move. Hazmat handled Magnezone
despite some paralysis thanks to a burn. I was then dumb against Metagross, using Screech on it with Enigma and completely forgetting
about Clear Body. Hazmat saved me with my Z-Move though, then finished off Bisharp. One down. Next was Olivia. Fabio handled the first few Pokemon albeit with some Sandstorm
special defense boost problems with Probopass, so I brought
in Libre to finish it. Libre fell to Gigalith, but then Craycray was spectacular, surviving a Z-Move and
speeding up with Quick Claw, winning the battle for the squad. Next was Acerola. Enigma beat Banette with
a Screech and Payback. Mace beat Froslass, and
Fabio beat Palossand by using its Z-Move before
it had the chance to use its. Libre beat Dhelmise, and
Enigma beat Drifblim. Surprisingly, the Elite Four battle that I was the most afraid
for was actually the easiest. Finally for the Elite Four was Kahili. The battle was overall fine aside from Fabio falling to the Z-Move and Mace falling to a Revelation Dance which I did not know would be Fire type. I mean, can you blame me? It's the signature move for
a Pokemon I've never used and is only in one region as of right now, so, like, how was I supposed to know? In the end though, it was an overall straightforward victory. Finally, the last battle
of the playthrough, Hau. Enigma beat Alolan Raichu right away, but then came his terrifying Tauros. Despite Hawlucha having
the higher base speed stat, his Tauros was still faster than Libre, a giant problem since Double Edge did a
massive amount of damage. I brought in Mace to
tank the Normal moves, but it knew Earthquake and KO'd it. At this point, I was genuinely afraid that his Tauros was gonna
sweep through my entire team or at the least do so much damage that my surviving members wouldn't be able to handle the rest of his team. Enigma survived a hit from Tauros and did big damage back with
Payback but wasn't able to KO. Suddenly he withdrew while I healed Libre, bringing in Crabominable, I swapped to Hazmat who's
fire attack barely didn't KO, allowing the Crabominable
to KO with Stone Edge. I was not in a good spot. Libre came back in,
outsped the Crabominable, and beat it since he did not heal. Tauros came back in, and he healed it while my Brick Break did about half. I realized that if Libre
lived the Double Edge, which I had seen it do before, Brick Break damage plus
recoil damage would KO. But a crit would mean that I
might lose the whole battle. Thankfully it didn't crit, but it did more damage than last time. Libre survived though and
KO'd the devilish bull. Fabio beat the Noivern
after taking some damage and flinching once. Craycray stalled the Leafeon for a while but couldn't finish it due
to Hau's Full Restores. I brought back in a healthy Libre who defeated the Leafeon
despite being outsped by it. I think Libre had a speed lowering nature or maybe just a terrible Speed IV because it was outsped by
a Tauros and a Leafeon, two Pokemon with lower base
speed stats than Hawlucha. So, like that was troublesome. Finally was Hau's Incineroar which I poetically defeated
with Fabio's signature Z-Move. I had beaten Ultra Moon
without catching any Pokemon with a really cool team of my starter, a fossil, two Totem
Pokemon, a gift egg Pokemon, and a Poke Pelago Pokemon. As might be obvious, Fabio,
my starter Primarina was MVP further cementing its place
as the best starter for Alola, but also Craycray the
Craydily was pretty solid once it evolved. It did better than I
thought it was going to. Thanks so much for watching and an extra special thanks
