BUSTED At The Auction Trying To SCAM US! FAKE UNIT! I Bought an Abandoned Storage Unit

they were busted trying to scam everybody here right in front of the entire crowd [Music] alright guys so guess what today we're going to our favorite storage auction company in california for the very last time you know what that's one of the few things i'm going to miss out here the auctioneers have been amazing let's hope there's something that looks good out there let's score a good unit let's do it [Music] this first uni here was actually so stupid that i was thinking about buying it when i saw the pictures online but what they didn't show were these metal bed frames on the side and for those of you that don't follow our community post we actually just sold our van two days ago so we have no ways of getting that home so you know what this one's a hard pass i'm looking for a five dollar don't take a one dollar bill anybody give it one dollar for it who knows what's in the box yeah [Applause] it's that california snow in the air guys you can't see it but it's literally action this is not weather all right so this unit actually looks really good and it looked really interesting in the pictures online the only downfall again for us is we have nothing but a little tiny forte right now we can't move mattresses and toolboxes and whatnot but i think it's gonna be a good bidding war let's see what these guys are willing to pay for hey guys here we go this uh locker number two five five is a ten by five i had a hundred dollar bid now that's 125 anybody go 150 here's 150 there who's going to 175 ford 175 right here that too get 200 to go i'm at 200 here got the now we'll get two and a quarter i'm at 225 here to get 250 here she's in better than 275 real money would have been 300 i got 300 here right at 325. are you in amber i'm at 300 here with three and a quarter anybody else three hundred dollars let me know there's a new better down three fifty that's 75 gonna be 375. it was first give me four to go gonna be 400. four a quarter you want it i'm at 400 here you get 425 where anybody else i got 400 errors for it a quarter to go 450 sir now 75 475 now make it five to go gonna be 500 i'm at 45 i got the five in the middle i'm gonna go five and a quarter real money what do you think about five hundred dollars there anybody else i'm going once 500 going twice last call i sold it to you for 500 bucks you got a lock i have absolutely nothing positive to say about to shoot it a bunch of junk the armoire things actually broke i don't know if you could tell in the video but overall everything in here is crap this is what we call a dump load sweet five by six behind me how much somebody want to give me 500 bucks for it how about a five dollar bill to make a five out of everybody go five one dollar anybody want it for a dollar that's a dollar bit there that's gonna be two who's gonna be two bucks anybody else i got a dollar here gonna sell it going once one dollar twice i sold it to you for a buck this unit was also stupid enough that i almost wanted to buy it you guys know i got a thing for the units that have like one box one bag one suitcase in this particular instance but unfortunately that code rack i just didn't know if it came apart and again if i have to say it again we don't have a van right now all we have is a card if it doesn't come apart we'd be in a little bit of a pickle so unfortunately i'm gonna have to pass on this one too going once there's 10 i'm gonna go 15 here and every 20. i'm at 20 out back together 25 looking for 25 what do you think i got 20 dollars going once i'm at 20 going twice and i have 25 up front and f30 i'm at 25 winning at 34. let me know 25 dollars i'm selling it going once 20 she's back the 35 on a 30 would have been thirty five people what do you think what do you say i'm a thirty dollar here gonna seller going once 30 twice and i sold it wasn't you got that locker for 30 bucks this unit here is where things start to get really really shady so as you can see i want you to take a good close look at this storage unit right now and what you see in it because that is going to mean a lot to what's coming up right now this is where the illegalness starts happening so let me explain to you what's going on here so you see me walk over listening to these people talking to the auctioneer right i'm kind of curious what's going on they all look concerned and what they pointed out are the pictures that were on the website of this unit show all kinds of other stuff that were also in here that's not in the unit any more before we go any further let me point this out and make this clear these auction companies most storage companies that have auctions like this they have to hire outside companies to do their auctions other than public storage they're the only one i know of that has their own managers doing it so they said they're supposed to send these companies pictures of the unit so obviously the companies they have no idea they never get a chance to look in there they have no idea what to go off they have to trust the storage facility what's the first thing he does is call out the employees in front of everybody and this is one of the reasons why i like these people they are straight to the point and what do you get for the employees of course just crappy excuses oh it must have been an old picture they might have paid a second in my opinion i think they went through it themselves maybe they're telling the truth maybe it was an old picture but personally i just don't buy that but the auctioneer called him out on it and then the course told everybody there this is not their only bid on what you see because someone has been in there and since after that moment the rest of this facility was so awkward but it was so funny how much [Music] anybody want it for free i'll pay your dollar any interest you guys change your mind i got a one dollar bid i'm paying for it somebody go two out bit me one dollar gonna sell it going once one dollar twice i sold it rosa one dollar thank you for helping all right so what you'll see from this point forward for the last few units in this facility people were a lot more timid obviously for good reasons which kind of makes me feel bad because the auctioneers get paid based on what they sell and now people are going to bid less because of the stupid storage facilities obviously scamming people so anyway this unit completely sucked as you can see but still it still made the rest of this facility just feel really really awkward what do you think how much money somebody got 50 bucks anybody got 50 on it how about 25 on this locker would it be five dollars for it how much money guys so where's my ten dollar bid nobody got ten anybody go ten five dollars i'm struggling here how about a one dollar bid on this locker anybody give me a dollar for guys anybody want it for a dollar any interest at all all right if you change your mind here let me know we got another sale on that one mike this little unit has obviously obviously been cleared out of anything of value taken out all they left behind was their trash which for the life of me i'll never understand why someone leaves a little tiny bit of trash and absolutely destroys their credit just take the couple little pieces of trash with you i don't get the logic but let's see what people will pay for this here how about 10 bucks anybody got 10 for a 10 bidder there's a ten dollar bidder here could have been twenty i'm a ten to twenty where i'm at ten where to go fifteen where anybody else i'm at ten dollars a little quiet crowd today going once ten dollars going twice last chance to bid i sold it to you last storage unit at this particular facility and isn't it just a beauty six mattresses right when the door opened up the smell of urine was just like boom knock you in the face and we got a dresser with no drawers what more can you ask for six p mattresses and a dresser with no drawers okay obviously this one was a no sale we went ahead and laughed and we went on to the next facility let's see what they got there how do you know you're in california right look at this see that ash that's not dirt that is ash look at that it is ashy outside guys that's the new weather here ashing it is so ashy it looks like it's like 5 a.m doesn't it it is like 11 in the morning right now anyway second facility they only have three units and hopefully it's not just more trash fingers crossed but i don't have high hopes i gotta say though right before we left the last facility this auctioneer said that every unit here sucked and he probably he told us not to come here but we want that footage and for the good chance that it's even one box it looks interesting we'll get it so trash is cool yes let's see you want to see my new fighting technique while we're waiting i call this the cove but assault so this unit's really really weird the auctioneer straight up told us that the employees told them that the former owner actually paid up got into it got everything they wanted out of there and then left it again so why anyone would bid on this is beyond me but people out here sometimes just don't make a lot of sense let's see oh this is number 16. this is a 5x5 you guys all going to look at it i got a five dollar bid you're gonna get ten looking for ten dollars and pretty good ten i have ten in the middle make it fifteen here's fifteen now what if i'm on twenty right at twenty five i'm at 25 they already got 34. there's 39 at 35. i'm at 35 would you go 40 sir yes you would now 45 45 40 45 i'm the 45 here now 15. i'm at 45.50 now give 64. i'm at 50 50.60 what do you think anybody else real money here i'm at 50 in the middle gonna sell it out going one second yes she says where do you get 70 bucks out of them on 70 if you want it are you a gambler roll the dice there's 70.80 gonna be 80 bucks and it's 70 to get 84. 70 bid you want it rusty says yes then 90 give me 90 bucks i got 80 go 90 he's got anybody else in 80 dollar bid gonna sell it going once going twice and i sold it rosa you got it good luck on that one how many units can you have in one auction run that are just pp mattresses and broken furniture this has got to be some type of world record here so i'm going to get guinness book of world records on the phone this is just getting ridiculous you guys all going to look at it what do you think here somebody got 25 on it anybody got 25 bucks how about 10. anybody give me 10 on a 10 bid how about five dollars in this locker anybody go five dollars for it whole apartment right there one dollar how about that anybody give a dollar for it any interest at all anybody want it for free i'll pay your dollar if you want it anybody want it if you guys change your mind that locker please let me know get a noticeable okay another p mattress and one freaking fat tv okay you know what this is the end of a very bad auction run this has to be one of the worst i've ever seen cumulatively for a day there wasn't there was one unit i would have been on if i had my van one out of ten just no good guys no good well it sucks we didn't get anything but you know what we gotta be very selective now because it is september something but we are picking up our box truck to pack up september 21st it's september 22nd we are moving out of california we begin to drive back to the east coast i am so excited we've been cleaning the house packing up doing yard work all that stupid boring guys i still be worrying about super fun stuff to get ready to get out of here guys so we're going to try to upload as much as we can but obviously we have a lot of work to do in the process we got a lot of stuff to get done in a very short amount of time so hopefully we get another unit soon
