hello everyone this is Korean Billy Australian Walter British Sam South African Chantelle and today we are going to do web smo cest questions about the United Kingdom yeah finally I've been waiting for this okay yeah yeah me too I was born in Enfield which is North London and I live just outside of North London now let's get started thank you why is British oh this is the question that I want to ask cuz I'm a very big fan actually why is British music so good yes music is amazing yeah we we have like a kind of huge wealth of many Braco they're big and pop band Spice Girls what's up yeah this is kind of my guess but this cut just comes from like way back when having a monarchy for so long they surrounded by music it's just kind of evolved through the ages maybe like the Royals were really interested in theater yeah kind of like helped artists do this stuff yeah well we've always had kind of a relationship with France in that aspect and maybe not so good in Nepal but yeah we've always been surrounded by arts throughout history I really feel like France and other European countries have come out with more like general arts and whereas British we went down the music room and literary route alright alright we got this reputation from the Americans during World War two in the 1940s and we had a bunch of their troops come and they got like the worst of the rations they went back to America with like this kind of appalling image of British food and that spread until about the 70s so until the 70s British people that we didn't really get into fine like cuisine food that's when we started getting more like condiments for our food but we have more one star two star three star Michelin restaurants than the u.s. oh really Gordon Ramsay Street has this bad rep but we'll have some of the most famous chefs around yeah my mom usually makes lasagna and like British also has like their own style of like other people's food as everyone talks about like English Carrie or something yeah it sounds like the kind of one of the first regions where we got a lot of spices from compared to are typically bland food you know it was like wow like this is amazing personally what is your best and worst British food toad in the hole I've seen it yes when I was living in England and my mum said today's gonna be toad in the hole like putting this popular it's not the worst but sorry I don't really like it that would probably be while is British weather so bad okay very typical okay yeah we do have a reputation geographically it's all about ocean currents we have Gulf Stream come on so and northern Atlantic the Gulf Stream is full of signals net drop is not they meet stuff happens typically warmer water evaporates quicker than colder water so the weather is just so erratic and it rains all the time hourly even so yes simply because we're an island and we have these ocean currents we have like all the different seasons in one day I've never been there but I'm curious let's say really you know it'd be rainy more than sunny days sunny days are very rare definitely rains more than sunny days cloudy yeah it feels like it I want to say there are just more kind of normal concentration it's not raining all the time why is the UK why is the UK called the UK so the United Kingdom of Great Britain is a bit different they're all kingdoms right so you had the kingdom of England the King of Scotland King of Wales as well we need to be careful the United Kingdom is made up of England Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland that Ryland is its own separate yes Northern Ireland so we need to be careful we have the British Isles which is the area that includes Islands but we don't call an Irish person British these days Britain just means the one area of land England Scotland and Wales so if you call somebody British they are either English Welsh or Scottish but we call somebody from northern island well they even from the UK or simply Irish Scottish people they don't say they're British yep yeah everybody likes to come separate themselves a bit ah British friendly personally when I see a British people yeah like compared to American people British people are quite shy not that like no I guess it might be a stereotype they're quite charming oh ankle I've got a few British but I believe British friends and they've always been like friendly to me every time I did meet someone who's British they were generally friendly but I agree not as outgoing right you know as Americans but they're always be nice right some people only travel to London like London people are relatively busy so like some people are relatively not really friendly but when people go to countryside in like northern England links more towels people are like super friendly down in London we can appear to be a bit cold at times everyone's just minding their own business a bit similar to New York I guess if you have been there so to experience real like local people we should like travel to others seriously all right London's great but get out of life that is not like all England has to offer yeah all of Britain or the UK herself yeah Scotland Ireland Wales that they're all lovely British and English the same and you are British and England British and English at the same time yeah yeah so it's kind of like going back to what I said before England is with in Britain Great Britain I am British and English however I feel like there's this kind of misconception with English learners the England spoken English is called British English hmm but if you think about it there's so much more where people say like British English these days I'm like well I guess but yeah it's very difficult it's difficult simply speaking British comes from Britain English comes from England yep I'll British European technically yes because we are from we are from the continent of Europe yeah and we will always be from the continent of Europe we are European but we're not in the European Union anymore au is still part of the European Union when you classify as European yep I kind of fooled Europeans yes yes because it has become this kind of identity that has changed you guys are sacred yes exactly we have kind of excluded now I feel if I were to meet some someone else from Europe and if I say I'm European - then you know they might look at me like yeah why are British actors from a small island we do have some very famous actor why I don't know if this falls into like the whole accent thing we've always been like I said before surrounded by creative people you know Shakespeare's plays it's a long history of acting right but yeah I think it's almost easier for American actors to become famous pose of Hollywood right right yeah I kind of feel it might be harder for people in other countries to be seen internationally so maybe the best of the best are the face to them many American actors I think that's a good point yeah why those British accents where this comes from - very British as a horse I haven't been to England but I know that as a Australian I notice stir the pot but very thorough when people say are rejected are so hot the first thing I say to them and this is not out of like jealousy what is your thinking very steamy stereotypical right it is all right listen to a chav the here will not be thank you think of Queen's English washing Raj they are thinking of the typical benedict cumberbatch but surely English you know James Bond you know I prefer the accents and dialects very way too much even when in London this yeah from there my area it's very we think it's very different numbers in the pool like Queens a Monsieur do a posh accent yeah I'm not considered posh it's very subjective yeah there's so many kinds I think internationally you'll mainly hear the posh but like within your own country there are tons of celebrities from different part of England that are extremely famous but all have different accents right well I do British why do British people say X oh it's when we message people okay yeah it's a kid yeah right it's not just British people but I have some friends who you know put this after everything the eyes the guys girls two guys girls two girls it's just like that kind of little polite it's like affection yeah yeah yeah it's just kind of what what we do it in its super case-by-case I don't do this I have a bunch of friends who do this a bunch a bunch of my teammates as well like they were just like Center necks and I'm like because I just don't do that in Korea so I kind of get reverse culture shock like but yeah it's just a sign of affection it's something polite so we've been talking about the web's most questions about the United Kingdom nice answers thank you thank you the video
