[Pagoda One] American Slang challenge!

hey everybody it's john from america sam from england chantal from south africa nice and today we are going to be doing our next part of our series of slang challenge ready for you guys i've tried to pick some pretty good american slang which people still do use in certain regions and sometimes across america but i don't think you guys are going to know it okay trying to pick harder ones i do have something special for voting today instead of just raising your hand and saying your name what could that be we're going to raise the statue of liberty uh anyways so yeah so you just raise those and say either your name merc it doesn't really matter just let me know what you want okay and who raises first tea and biscuits tea and biscuits well you asked me what i want yeah fry so are you guys ready yes it's ready let me let me try to find something that you guys might know for the very first one okay to pass the buck to pass the back means to give someone else the blame and not taking responsibility next one okay oh just to recap pass the buck means to like pass your responsibility on to another person uh something like this man i really get annoyed at john he's always passing the buck he's always avoiding responsibility uh-huh on to other people all right get ready number two this is a more difficult one this is from pennsylvania well it's not from pennsylvania i'm from england yeah i'm sorry you're disqualified but it is from that area it's called uh yinz or use yinz or use sam sam from england shoes yeah okay so she can go next okay we're gonna give context yinz get out of my yard disqualified for not knowing her name it's okay yin's get out of my yard means you people you animals dogs from england i think i'm gonna have to give it to her oh it's kids it's not kids okay it's not the you people or you all you'll hear this uh where i came from i kind of kind of used it more sarcastically because it was like a slang from another part of america so oh yeah use guys we always say all the time oh yeah all right all right number three okay chantelle ii sam zero yeah yeah um catty wampus let's go for south africa okay how does does south africa know what's making your name caddy wampus is that someone who's always complaining no okay come to context please my brain gets all cattywampus while i study korean grammar oh yeah like all over the place confused yeah i'll have to give it okay for that one disorganized out of order confused dessert okay kenny kind of means like not straight in the beginning but now it kind of means like disorganized or out of order yeah so you could also say that uh that road is cattywampus which kind of means like diagonal or something like that or not straight all right next one oh hard or easy guys let's do hard yeah okay to be like putting lipstick on a pig from england i've got a at this to totally not fit or not suit someone oh that's a good guess but right now okay you get to guess now it's um something very difficult to do again true okay now you have to give up i'm tired of your riddles john oh this is tough i like it yeah um okay okay how about this i'll do a situation where i say it instead of like a quote okay you you bought a car and it keeps breaking down the inside is like really kind of broke breaking down it's dirty and everything but oh sound from england oh no no you didn't finish oh no i was gonna say like i'm unfixable or like yeah you're getting closer but you don't have the spirit of it yet yeah it's unfixable so it's really dirty on the inside it keeps breaking down but they put a fresh coat of paint and it looks really pretty on the outside oh i know it okay but it's your turn so basically it's about the appearance on the outside looks good but the inside is like messed up and marked up maybe try to get more of the spirit of it rather oh come on like like it's like no matter how much you like polish or paint a little paint for polish or put a gold layer on a poop it's still poop it doesn't matter how much you try to improve it yes no matter how much you polish a turd it's still a tud a turd yeah jonesing so changing is like being or pretentious or pretending to be what you're not being lazy no oh okay give context now context uh pretty much every morning i'm really jonesing for a coffee i said one thing i just said wanting dancing is like craving and what you want something so we got three for you yeah two for you so far and yeah we'll do a couple more to duke siblings are always duking it yeah uh it's like juking it out like fighting yeah damn yeah yeah you got it that was close i got like i got the just ahead of me oh that was close all right you guys still might know this but it's whoever's quickest on the draw oh no i'm sorry we have to end the friendship to be for the birds do you want to go no good okay um oh this is harder to be for the birds um suitable for a group can i try my try now something trouble oh really really close i might have to get into yes this is our queen well to be for the birds how did you get that one that was a good guess yeah how did you get that how did you know i don't know why i just you know birds i think birds are unimportant that's why they're a different chapter i hope no birds are watching it all right today we got to see some american slang that is not so common
