oh hey there idiots welcome back to observe today we're looking at casey anthony let's go as far as backstory goes there it is i hope you enjoyed that now i'm not going to actually give any of the back stories as to what this case is because last time i did that youtube immediately demonetized the video and i'd rather go ahead and not have that happen again so if you would like to be able to see that let me know and i'm considering making it to where half the full video perhaps with the backstory and everything will go up on patreon and then the actual read itself goes up here just let me know how you feel about it because i'm trying to figure out a way to be able to do this for you and still make it to where i can do it again financially that being said we're going to go ahead and look at casey anthony's interrogation we're also going to look at her parents's interview we've got a lot of things to unpack in this let's go ahead and just start start right into that that sweet and tasty analysis but let me uh and then we'll get you a phone and we will call your attorney okay okay i'll sit here with you all right okay real quick i know that this is early on but this is something that i want to go ahead and talk about because it doesn't change throughout the entirety of the video itself if you look at her her position the pose that she's in right now never changes and this is already going to be something as you watch the video itself she never once even thinks about mirroring any of the other people in there this is a very isolated gesture this can be for a various number of psychological reasons but it's just an interesting thing to note all the way through so pay attention to that she always remains in this kind of lean back legs crossed hands in her lap kind of pose and obviously she's limited because she's got cuffs on but that sort of pose stays constant throughout all of it which is non-verbally notable along with that she's doing some preening gestures already she's aware of how she appears and wants to appear nice and also she seems very relaxed let's see how that plays out i don't know if i should apologize for what happened on the highway or not but i almost feel like i shouldn't in a sense but i don't think yeah i know for a fact that he didn't know so i don't think that it was intentional on anybody's part for any of it so yeah i know that didn't look good but i mean i can understand why i know one thing if i got caught doing that i would get my ticket throw them wherever especially when they found out i was a federal agent oh really you're driving like that around here get your ass in my car yeah all right so she's displaying a lot of nervous behaviors with the fidgeting the preening the self-soothing gestures on her hands here um this is to be expected long story short that's just to be expected in this sort of situation if if you were in her shoes say you were in an interrogation room with the point of being interrogated by the police you'd probably be a little bit nervous so that's to be expected it's not out of the ordinary however you'll see where it starts to get out of the ordinary and out of the ordinary really is the the phrase that kind of encapsulates this entire interrogation well we figured going through the airport it's restricted airspace so they can't take the helicopters through and we thought that the cars that were following us from my attorney's office were media because there was a media game that followed us and another band that went with them so we're thinking oh [ __ ] here we go it's happened before it happens every day well you know what i'll say today i've said it to your mom i've said it to your dad and i said it to your brother well that was one thing that they all agreed upon was the fact that you've extended you know your hand to help most people have it so i was afraid that some of what i said to them probably offended them because i told them that if i find out something that you don't want to hear i'm going to tell you well honestly they'll respect that that's just you know the type of people that they are in the same way i know i know they are all right so you can kind of see here that the interra gator is now making the decision to mirror her body language this is probably an intentionally done thing on his part if you mirror somebody they're more likely to get along with you that's just a little non-verbal tip so he's likely doing that to an extent in order to help get on her good side perhaps if she likes him she'll talk and be more honest i don't think it really goes that well let's keep watching when i end up with certain things they don't hear and i understand that yeah well it doesn't mean i'm going to say exactly when you have different beliefs than somebody it is hard sometimes to hear their opinion that's true that doesn't mean that they don't respect your opinion or the fact that you're coming forward with what you think or what you feel so well to some extent it's comforting to hear you say that because it was never my intention to piss anybody in your family off you know i'm not in it to get a conviction i get nothing out of it i get zero exactly you have a job you're trying to do i i found a few and i found a few and sucks both ways yeah i agree sorry is what it is where i get side sideways with people tends to be when attorneys get involved i've heard most people say that they don't like attorneys very much i have many family members that are attorneys i have no problems with attorneys what i have problems with are at some point we have to set aside the rules and we have to fight kids and you know what so be and that's why i told you in the car you know if you tell me anything now yeah i'll get up and say yep i heard it and she already invoked him we can't use any of it that's just the way it is that's all that matters to me yeah and you know when we did did another case that i was involved in commenting non-verbally as to where she's at what she's presenting right now there's still a lot of that nervous fidgeting this is still to be expected if you're noticing that anybody would be nervous in that situation i would be nervous you would be nervous anybody would be nervous in that situation and it's this general detachment that's going to continue to present itself that will start to catch your eye he's already made a couple pokes at her and instead of having any sort of outrage or defiance or anger or any emotion towards that she just kind of flows right along with it this can be done in normal every day-to-day life totally fine for instance if you're a retail worker a customer service worker in general if you're working and a customer comes in and just lays into you and tells you you're always terrible nine times out of ten you work at a job that says the customer is always right so you have to just sit there and be like yeah that's right yes i am a horrible person everything is horrible except you yes so that sort of thing is normal however under these intense of circumstances in this specific situation it comes across as irregular it's almost odd that she doesn't have an emotional reaction to it but let's continue watching it you know they lost a confession and i sat down and i looked right at the guys that we worked with i said that's not what's important we found her we found her and he's gonna get what has come to him that's not my job you know and and it works out in the end and it works out in the end on all sides to be honest with you it may not be comfortable for everybody yeah and there's i've done things that i get caught for i'm not going to be comfortable i can tell you that it's just the way life is you know but it's not the end of the road either and that's what we have to keep in mind it's not the end of the road just a random question are there cameras in all of the rooms i'm just some freaking clue i've never been in this part of the building so i know that my guess would be yes we're gonna go get something to drink do you want any soda pepsi thank you very much interesting so he does another poke at her and once again there's just not a lot of feedback for it he does a poke at her to be like you know if i were hiding something then you know that would be pretty uncomfortable blah blah blah but it's not the end of the road he's really trying to slowly work into her psyche of being like yeah this doesn't necessarily mean the end of the line it's okay to say if you did something in essence he's trying to open the door for her to admit her guilt and she's just not feeding anything she's not offering anything at all verbally and non-verbally she has stayed constant this entire time so much so that it starts to seem suspicious yeah that's what i was thinking too well my mom wasn't aware that there was a camera in the room i guess when she met with melich and i forget who else and the big interviews that were released to the media and she was infuriated you would think that that's something that you know you should be told but you don't have to be right the law is the law yeah and i will play within the rules of law if if it's a tool that's available to me that i can use later to look back on and see if i missed something or could i have done something better i'm going to take advantage of it yeah exactly i would assume that this place probably has one somewhere oh really something that records audio so either way i can tell you i don't um yeah they'll probably be somewhat unhappy when they see my interviews with them those haven't been released yet but they were on video yeah well that's just part of the discoveries yeah it'll all come out you know but like i said i have loyalty to one person in every one of these cases and it doesn't happen to be anybody i'm interviewing usually understandably it's not a it's not a slight on them you know dealt with many different people in many different positions none of which are comfortable so he's trying to build up pressure he's trying to really paint what exactly is going on in this room he's showing that he's not there to be her friend he's showing that he has experience he's really trying to build up pressure he's even saying you know there's probably cameras and audio he's just trying to make it to where she knows that he's not there to be buddy buddy with her he's there to get the truth and he's doing this intentionally to be able to raise that pressure to be able to hopefully push her to tell the truth or even give signals about the truth and it just doesn't hit home at all even if this person was innocent it it's still not hitting home remember she's an interrogation for the possibility that she murdered her kid and she's acting like she's sitting down and having like a job interview maybe or coffee with a friend if you added some quiet music took away the words and added a different dialogue their body language would more or less just show that they might be talking about a movie that they're about to watch and they're just waiting on the movie it's very very odd all the way around non-verbally very odd always get in the way that you have on your brain on your hands such are the rules that we work under yeah here's my question um i know this is a question that a lot of people have asked the grand jury and all that supposed to be secret but it was released to the media right off the bat my dad hadn't even been subpoenaed and that was released so i just think a lot of that's kind of funny and the fact that they invited the media in when they were releasing the decision my mom had received a text message from someone within the media saying they're letting all of a sudden when they make the decision we're thinking are you serious there are rules i ain't quite sure that one of the rules that was followed was that when the decision to indict has been made um that part of it is public yeah that part's public and they can let the money into the courtroom at that point yeah i bet this is just my bet i don't know what the florida rules are i'm more federal stuff familiar with that yeah but what i bet is that it was done under seal and there were no names and no official charges probably read aloud it probably just was there's been a diamond received in a case and that's it well when the media was out there all day and they knew about this a week ago that it was going to happen yeah so it's just kind of funny it's supposed to be secret and everything was happening at least the happening is our secret what what takes place within the room is secret yeah but as far as what it actually is convened and you know pull together the witnesses and stuff like that that's not also supposed to be secret it depends on how they're subpoenaed okay i mean if you're subpoenaed under a regular court order that's it my dad was through his attorney so i'm not quite sure how that came through yeah but if the subpoena itself is just a regular federal grand jury that's public records yeah it doesn't say what it's for it doesn't say what case it's in it doesn't it just says you're subpoenaed to appear before the grand jury well with them announcing that you know there was going to be a grand jury and obviously my name was thrown out they knew who the grand jury was for who threw your name out oh the media said that it was from an inside source meaning in here so that's where they all see i can tell you what i speak of the media what i think of people who list up to the media i think it's garbage yeah i agree that's the name that doesn't make it any less necessary without them i'll be quite honest without the media we don't find a quarter of the kids that we oh i agree it helps the exposure has helped bring in so many tips for my daughter but at the same time what it creates is it creates a monster that otherwise isn't necessary exactly the tips are what the tips are if it was a local media only it would be much easier to work yeah when you make it the national media then you come home you get the nancy graces well you get that you get the tips also that come from hawaii that say i saw kaylee oh really okay let me call her let me send so once again all the way through this nothing non-verbally is happening it's really uneventful non-verbally speaking it's very uneventful and verbally speaking they're going back and forth bantering about the media and the media does have its own connotations absolutely the media has to sell titles so they'll do whatever it takes to sell those titles so i i get what they're saying on that but it's not really applicable non-verbally it's not really applicable to this case currently and her body language is doing nothing at all so we're we're going to keep watching through this entirety of this interview there's a large segment that i'm going to skip over here where she's just sitting in a room by herself so we're going to try to stick to the main meat of this interrogation and see if there's anything that would have sent a red flag nonverbally beyond the weird detached state that casey is in they're only getting their information from the nancy graces or from globe magazine or people or you know stuff like that are you kidding me yeah i can say you will not see me sit trying to be interviewed by yeah by people or clothes or anybody else entree move my friend you know i'm just gonna let that go you know where i need it all right we're going to call him on my cell phone okay i know this is oh yep that's not good pull back there just slide your hands out no i didn't i honestly can't so they're a little tight thanks for entertaining us just like you're ready actually if i could i would have done that for you do you know by has his phone number off top of your head no i do not how can you get the cell number or his number um i know his office number what is that 407 705 2626 did you see mr sandwich while you're out there yeah you you want to go speak with him and give me a handcuff key that fits do you want to like that and i'll have received a phone call to mr bias now once again where is he should be talking to the chief i think he needs a map to get back there oh right here yeah he doesn't know how to get back there i've identified myself you know why you're in custody um and you have you sign this you want your attorney present yes through that conversation we've agreed yes because express that to me again so i have full understanding before i get on the phone with him we discussed before that we have no problem sitting down together him and i and speaking with law enforcement or listening to all the questions that you have him and i discussing it and then we go from there okay and that's there's been no success with that so far nobody's taking us up on that so we're gonna we're gonna open that window right now okay and hopefully we can make something happen ultimately i think we have the same interest finding your daughter 2626 you said yes thank you hey ed it's casey um can you do me a favor and call jose or can you give me jose's cell phone number so i can call him oh is he okay great thanks how long ago was that that was 17 five years where'd you cut your hair hey it's casey um i'm with corporal corporal edwards i'm your host sorry um i'm at the sheriff's department if you'd like to come down and meet with us thank you yes okay great thank you hello yeah give him the information orange county sheriff's office yeah but john young at 50. yeah we we um mr we mirandized her as we're that's what at 422 and she stated that you've done a great job she didn't vote and but she also said that she you know that her exasperation is the same as ours you guys have wanted the opportunity to speak with law enforcement face to face and let's if you guys are interested in doing that let's get that done quit the figure pointing okay all right sir we're game on the good looking young man that just walked in and sitting across from me now isn't it savage what does he get in here he's from here anybody else need a drink question if it's okay with you [Music] hard one all right real quick here now we have this new gentleman in here and he is also portraying a certain level of body language and she is not in any way mirroring him in fact even with her cuffs off she stays much in the same sort of pose she's also doing a classic arm in front holding the other arm gesture you'll see that it's a partial blocking gesture nothing out of the ordinary very very regular things to see she's also tucking her hand this is a stabilization gesture these are all just things that you would expect to see from somebody in this sort of situation let's see what happens when the questions start coming seeing if there's any sort of non-verbal abnormalities in this and we'll just go from there training gesture to answer your other question from that picture i cut my hair it was really short even last year i just started growing it back out this year so just about that okay explorers mr bias he's at the office he's at the office okay so we have a bit of time okay that's fine we uh went through the formalities of this make sure everything's above board like i said before that's what you're going to get here okay we just would request the same back you understand what you're writing for today yes okay may i step up for a minute absolutely are you sure you're only here i'm fine thank you where's my handcuffer i'm here now it's not even hard job right now oh it's been a long day it has been how was my dad this morning um in our time yeah honestly my only self from the media got a chance to hear him talking to my mom i spoke to him last night and this morning for just a quick second before he left so yeah i talked to him this morning for a little bit he was with mark and you know he was really struggling i mean i could imagine he was having a hard time uh you know he was being called in to to essentially provide testimony to indict you at least and he was really struggling with that yeah and uh and i felt bad i'll be honest with you i truly did well i haven't told him last night i know he was subpoenaed and under the law he had to answer whatever questions were asked and i told him to do what he had to do at that point if he didn't he'd be held in contempt of court i don't want to see that happen so what do you say this is another one of those points for a bit of backstory on this they're talking about her dad more or less testifying that she is guilty and as she's talking about it once again there's nothing there's absolutely nothing that shows any sort of emotive connection to what's happening that strikes me as odd that doesn't seem like a normal thing to me it seems like she's trying too hard to be fine all the way around just everything is fine it's all fine if she was innocent and her dad was like not she's guilty it would seem as if maybe there would be a little bit of negative emotion about that i would feel a little negatively if my dad was going up on trial against me saying that i'm guilty i would just have some negative emotions about that if i were innocent she has no variance to her emotional state it's all constant it's the same tone it's the same pitch it's the same body language it's the same non-verbal tics everything is the same and that's suspicious to me that's extremely odd it's also odd to them they feel weird about this too let's keep watching he just hugged me and told me that he loved me and i know he was struggling with it even last night so i think it was probably more so this morning yeah i could see that with a little bit that i saw from the media from the pictures and um a little bit of footage that they had so you guys watching on tv now we watched online a little bit try to stay away from the tv as much as possible at least with the internet i can scroll through read what i want and then just get rid of it that much faster so are you anxious about today at all um i have been i mean this is something honestly we've been preparing for from the beginning just because of words that were directly spoken from gary melich and also from uh sergeant allen they were saying that this is what they were planning on doing from the very beginning from that first day so they wrote me off within the first couple hours so i don't know if that's true that was the direct words that they pretty much gave to myself and even they said that's my parents so i mean i'm not trying to say something derogatory towards someone but yeah okay we're just we're just we're just talking okay so that was the only time he ever made any effort to try to talk to me no number one and that was kind of difficult that was kind of difficult considering well considering um obviously in light of everything that's going on the fact that you've been arrested for other things makes it a little more difficult to sit down and even talk to you it's not that we haven't wanted to yeah i do have counsel and then something that you know my attorney's always been a phone call away and it shouldn't have taken it getting to this point you know three months in i think as your attorney ever told you that we would like to speak to you and we had agreed him and i together that we would all sit down together him and i and you guys and you know we entertain whatever questions you have been discussing that you know we wanted to talk to you i mean obviously we can't come to you and ask you yeah but understandably yeah i thought that you were aware that if you wanted to talk so all of her responses are geared around keeping things moving smoothly i think that's her priority in this is just to have everything move smoothly all the way through i think the best thing for us to do is just to keep analyzing the rest of the you got to do is simply footage yeah well i know it goes both ways on that and i guess it would have needed to come from me i should have been the one to i guess come forward with it but you know we did open up that door to law enforcement before when sergeant allen was making a big deal saying well we want to talk to her when can we talk to her he's saying well the doors open i don't believe he ever told us the door's open i mean maybe not to you directly but i know to sergeant allen i was sitting there even one of the times that he spoke with him so i've heard the words come out of his mouth even myself directed to other people that maybe didn't either relay the message or took it a different way so i don't know i think the lack of communication has put people in opposite corners when everybody has the same goal is to find kaylee do you think the matter could have been resolved a little differently you think the matter could have been resolved a little differently absolutely in a lot of different aspects and that's a conversation that i've had not only with my attorney but with my family so i mean we all still feel i as a mom i know in my gut there's feeling as a parent you know certain things about your child you can feel that connection and i still have that feeling that presence i know that she's alive whether you have a bucket load of evidence downstairs that contradicts that and says otherwise or all you have is speculation or or nothing at all i mean whatever it is if there's still that chance with all these tips that have come through i know that it's i know that a lot have been discredited but i'm going to bring them down and it's everything we have more than speculation has every tip and that's every legal following yeah that we have more than speculation we have a lot perhaps we wouldn't be to this point a lot well i said i said the same thing to them that you know they said we're at the end of a hallway and i'm thinking north end of the hallway and there's two doors which door are we going to go through or i guess this is you know more at this point and we are at this point where the final step is which door is walked forward we are well beyond where we were before i mean those those issues are gone okay and when they refer to or at the end of the hallway i think you feel well aware of what hallway we're talking about do you understand that um well so there's no question i guess you can specify that at this point or what your perspective is on that you have a second absolutely can we come right back yeah running off i'm not going anywhere i think i'll stretch out a little bit i'm not as young as i used to be yeah no i thought you were going to say something smart no i was going to ask if that would have talked about her i actually tried to give it to her she probably has one but i'm not going to be with my mom probably so i'm pretty sure you're not going to be with your mom when you leave here i don't want to miss lead you there but you're not misleading me at all your mom runs me off the road on the way out of here then you make sure a car that's why i told my mom to go home and not to come here she wanted to come here so she knew you were coming here eventually um i was the one that was telling her that i was coming here eventually just from the moment you had enough perception to turn the flashers on i that's i applaud you for that you didn't the only that was similar to one it was ridiculous bigger dad helped her out a little bit and how about whoever was behind her so they wouldn't hit her i missed that all right so from this point this is where the long break is not a lot happens but as you can see once again everything is very very odd i'm gonna go ahead and skip forward in this interrogation to the it's honestly the last few minutes of this video this hour and five minute video that i'm looking at and then we're gonna move on to the other bits and clips of other people and summarize everything and and we'll just go yeah he's going to ask a question he don't say anything else other than the answer okay casey based on our conversation today and i read you that form basically just same thing i said to mr baez over the phone if there's been numerous requests or requests or opportunities request for opportunities to speak with us and come to a resolution here that's why we brought you here instead of jail correct yes okay now based on your request for us to call him and bring him here he's here so we're going to try to do is give you a few minutes somewhere that's not recorded no secrets i told you this room's resorted i have to be able to approach my chain and explain why but first i needed you to tell him in your own words if you will that you'd like to take the opportunity to deal with us like you've made that request in the past so is that something you want to tell him i told him the same thing we talked about before that we would entertain any questions that they have we would listen and discuss it and if we have something to respond we'll respond okay do you want to speak to me in private yes so we can clarify this yes okay interestingly so during that that little blip that she was saying there there was a lot of no shaking a lot of shrugging all of these are insecure body language it's a nervous thing it's to be expected in this sort of situation she's not certain as to what she's saying so she would like to be able to confer just to make sure everything's on the same page before going forward i'm excited let me get my room to go to let you up oh i was just gonna stand up for something that i've been sitting for an hour thank you thanks so now we're going to go ahead and move on to watch the interview of the parents because there might be something over there as well to be able to observe i'm going to give you a heads up the mother's body language actually appears to be very natural in what you would expect but the father's comes across as interesting to say the least and it's even more interesting because he apparently has a history in law enforcement so he would be aware of the processes and techniques that are being used in interviews and interrogations however he still seems to more or less wear his emotions on his sleeve let's go ahead and watch this interview here [Music] all right we're gonna go ahead and wrap that up a jury found her not guilty and this was largely due to an excellently presented case from the defense and i don't honestly agree with it now some psychologists and psychologists their experts there say that they found nothing to indicate any psychological abnormalities in casey they have certain tests that they run and they have observations that they'll play out to see and kind of analyze whether or not this person is psychologically stable or not now to me something seems extremely off period i don't care about what the crime is i'm talking about her nonverbal communication how she presents herself it's this odd sense of detachment everything is always just fine for her regardless of the situation during an interrogation during a courtroom during everything everything just seems fine this psychological detachment occurs it seems fishy i'm not a psychologist so i cannot diagnose her however off of this many psychologists say that she passes all of the tests and checks out as completely psychologically fine and that got me to thinking are not personality tests and psychological disposition tests easily fooled so i went through and i did several dozen online tests based on personality based on various dispositions based on disorders and it's easy it's extremely easy to fool you can be whoever you want to be according to those tests by simply saying that you're whatever you want to be it's not a foolproof system so the fact that they're like oh she checks out just fine if she's aware of what's going on and if she's something like a sociopath or a psychopath then she's able to just play into whatever character she's decided it's the whole idea behind acting you can play a character you can be a character you can answer questions in character the in character line is common for that reason and so the fact that they're being like oh well she's psychologically sound she's just fine i don't buy it her nonverbal communication doesn't make sense with that it just doesn't if she was psychologically sound why is she not presenting that non-verbally why is it so detached why is it so off from what i've gathered from what i've seen obviously i don't know that she's guilty however she seems too detached to be completely innocent i think that the jury got it wrong i think that the defense did an excellent job in getting a guilty person to go free that's where i'm feeling on that everything points to that i don't sit well with this one i don't sit well with casey anthony and i don't know how any of the jurors can go home at night and be like yeah that's probably true and what it really ended up boiling down to is the letter of the law the prosecution was not able to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that casey was guilty so that weird manipulation of the law allowed her to go free and that's extremely frustrating to me anyways this video oh man boy is it a long one this has been going on for a hot minute so i hope you enjoyed this please hit subscribe i don't know if this is going to get monetized so if you want to follow the links in the description below with like audible and if you want to get merch or if you want to become a patron or anything like that helping me to be able to turn this into more content and create more true crime content that you can enjoy then i'll i still i i just need your support on that in any way that you can so i appreciate that i appreciate everything that you do but but without further ado that's all i've got for today my name is logan and you have been oh so awesome as you always are and i will see you in the next video cheers guys you
