I think he’s leaving out how controlling John’s demeanor is towards Patsy. I thoroughly believe he had Patsy write the ransom note because they were trying to focus the attention on outside the family. Patsy is not dumb either. She tried to make her handwriting look sloppy but it didn’t work. They all 3 know/knew (Patsy) what happened.

I felt that this analysis was very vanilla and when the analyst got to the part where Patsy says, “keep your babies close” he didn’t even comment on the fact that John was mouthing the words before Patsy says them. I would love to hear his opinion on that.

Wondering how John's role as a high ranking businessman factors into his behavior.

We only get to see him in meeting-like situations such as interviews and press conferences.

Easier for him to mask/control telling behavior or mistakenly perceived as inauthentic?

As you can see, I am a fence-sitter. Part of why is because of Patsy in these interviews. I 100000000% believe she is genuinely grief stricken, which could indicate that it was an accident if she was the culprit or maybe that John or Burke did it and she helped cover for it and is still devastated. BUT... her recalling finding the letter. I’ve never been able to get over the way she recalled it. Where she was looking, how you could tell she was replaying it in her mind. She’s so sedated and so clearly grief stricken that I can’t believe she would’ve been able to act that out that well. Unless she’s also acting out the sedation and the grief, in which case, this lady deserved an Oscar and an Emmy.

I have eyes and I too see the ridonk resemblance to Patsy’s handwriting in the RN, which has led me from teetering between her either being totally innocent or her feeling the need to cover for John or Burke. But then the comment she makes in the first interview about it not sounding like a kidnapping to her. And John’s reactions.

Basically every problem I’ve had with all the RDI theories are due to everything this guy is trained to see and that I believe a lot of us intuitively see.

And I’ve ALWAYS thought John looks like he’s slightly smiling when he’s in these interviews, and like he lacks emotion. I told myself that his resting face may just be like that and he may just naturally have a flat affect, but this compilation and analysis mixed with Linda Arndt’s interview and then the recent revelation about how John was carrying JBR upstairs after finding her body. Then John’s story changes about what he did with the kids that night. Then the (sometimes disputed) evidence of long term sexual abuse.... And I’m going to throw in a consideration of Burke’s odd behaviors too, because I feel he was possibly abused also.

The only theories I really go between are some rich white people sex ring thing, since one was being run out of Michigan, to explain all the random evidence and Patsy’s handwriting on the RN, the Pughs having done it because they had knowledge and access to everything or John doing it. Well, and sometimes Santa, because he could easily get JBR to follow him out of bed, could wear gloves without it being weird, and may have even brought her favorite snack, which would explain why the Ramseys swore they didn’t give her pineapple or even have any at that time (and investigators never checked the fridge and the kitchen was cleaned, so who knows). But I digress.

So now if we Occam’s Razor it, I think the most likely scenario would probably be her father.

Edited for clarity.

I wonder if any of his findings would change if he had more background knowledge of the types of discussions that go on here. Overall, my take is that he's analyzing the wrong thing. He's trying to identify honesty vs. deception and then infer guilt based on who he thinks is lying. I think many believe that both of them were dishonest from the first interview, although we may disagree about the reasons why.

I could actually see parts of where Burke might get some of his traits from. When he is asked about pineapple, he lies the same way as Patsy does when she is confronted with her own handwriting in the photo album. And the way he smiles inappropriately is similar to the way his dad turns up the corners of his mouth after answering a question.

I wish the analysis had been presented without creepy music. I did feel that the analyst was biased towards JDI quite heavily. There were points at which I felt Patsy was clearly lying that he thought she was being quite genuine. I also did not find her grief 100% authentic as he did. I did feel that she was grieving, but I didn't equate grief with innocence. You could still grieve the loss of a child even if you harmed them or know who did.

This family was very clearly given instructions and training in how to evade questions or lie.

Apart from that, the discussion of the footprints in the snow was misguided. I disagree with the notion that someone other than Patsy wrote the note. It would be extremely hard to get the handwriting of a letter that long to match that closely, without the author's own tendencies coming through. Also, some components came from literary works Patsy had read, and the language was language she used in other places. I just don't think someone could craft a note like that in that amount of time and still do all of the rest. Even a psychopath.

I also wondered if underlying emotions are so mixed in this case that they could prevent an accurate analysis. The analyst keeps saying John looks angry. He very well could be angry and still not be the guilty party. I mean if it was BDI or PDI, he might be very angry. He might be aggravated that he has to appear on national tv and spout a ton of lies over his daughter's death to cover for one of the other two.

I believe that both Ramseys knew of the death before the body was found, and i believe the were both lying in the very first interview. I believe Patsy is better at getting in character. As far as John - how can you not look like a psychopath when you are well aware that you are going on national television for the purpose of lying about your daughter's death? Maybe the publicist told Patsy to be heavily sedated so that the interviewer couldn't back her into a corner with question that made the family look guilty.

I'm not sure about John feeding her the line. Did that really happen or has that video been doctored? I have never noticed that event before watching this, but I have seen the initial interview before. If he was feeding her a line, is that his controlling behavior, or him reminding his over-sedated spouse of the words that the lawyer and publicist told them to say?

I don't necessarily think John is innocent. I just think this analysis was a little too heavy handed towards him.

He very lite the actual analysis. They did a lot of interviews. Having an interview years afterwards can be just as revealing as the earliest one. Especially since Patsy is not drugged up.

I’ve always felt that PDI, but it was an accident. She flipped out on JB when she wet the bed. She threw something heavy at JB but didn’t mean to kill her
