Bible Study 9-1-21

father god in the also mighty name of jesus as you bring us together again we know that only you can do uh what you are able to do no other deity no other so-called god but you are the true and living god and just being able to be in your house of worship the word of god that's because of your goodness and mercy toward us not that we earned anything or deserve it but because of your mercy and we thank you lord we lift up this whole entire world we lift up our nation lord as the world is in turmoil in every uh way possible you're still god you're still in charge and we still look to the heels which cometh our help knowing that all of our help come from you and you alone and give us revelation knowledge god as we look into your word tonight and let your heart say amen but to god be all the praise and all the glory it's a blessing to be back in the word in the study of the word of god and uh if you can't turn me down just a little uh yet all right in the uh looking in the word because no matter what we go through god has given one thing for humanity his image and that is the word of the living god remember what jesus said matter of fact let's look at it matthew chapter four let's start there and let's see what jesus says in matthew 4 and 4 and four and it says but he answered and said it is written it is what written now when whenever jesus will start off by saying the word of god or it is written he is basically saying it is a law god it is the law of god and it is the principle of god the law of god is true the principle of god is true the laws and principle god are unchangeable you know all we talk about you know when you think about certain things that are unchangeable such as gravity gravity is what is a principle and gravity never changes it's a law what goes up must come down no matter who throws it up right no matter who you know lose their balance gravity pull them down it's a law it's a principle unchanging so whenever you hear jesus say it is written he's just not saying the word is written on a piece of paper he's saying here's the law of god here's the principle of god and it cannot be changed it is not only the law of god in the principle god it is the truth of god and you can't change gravity you can't change the word so that's why i love god's word and i said before i turned to matthew god has given us one thing and what god has given us is his word the unchangeable word of god built on laws and principle that's why uh you you know the bible says jesus said heaven and earth shall what pass away then they get to his word and he say but what the word shall not pass away shall never pass away why why the word will never pass away because the word of god is a truth it's true it's laws it's principle so god said even when this earth pass away the word dog won't pass away why again let's go back to what what i said earlier and it's going to be so important as we get into the word tonight because if if if christians can't rely on the word of god we can't rely on anything and how do we rely on we rely on the word of god laws principles and truth it is written that what jesus said so when we go to the word of god when we're having trouble in our lives or going through the time any type of emotional ups and down we go through unchangeable word it's unchanging it doesn't change so we can depend on god's word for the nourishment of our soul our spiritual spiritual edification because here is the unchangeable truth unchangeable law unchangeable principles and that's why when jesus said again heaven earth gonna pass away but his word won't pass away why because if it's unchanging and if if it's the truth and if it's a principle just because the world world is dissolved don't mean the word will be dissolved because it is what unchanging let the world be dissolved let the world pass away but if the principle of the word is true it would not pass away so what that tells us too that the world the world that we live in is not a principle the world that we live in is not truth or law because if this world was principled truths and laws it couldn't pass away amen since it gonna pass away one day it's not built on a principle not built on truth and not built on laws it just built on a temporary temporary status and just like we are we are temporary and we are status now so when jesus was being tempted of the devil in the wilderness that's why he went to the word isn't that powerful matter of fact let's not just read verse four let's read the first three verses uh and then we'll start at four then we'll put focus on four then john 4 and 1 method matthew 4 matthew 4 and 1 then was jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil now number one who led him into the wilderness the spirit amen for a what test and don't be surprised if the spirit lead us into life tests every time we go through a test don't blame it on the devil sometimes the spirit leads us into life tests it did it with jesus right what do verse one said and he was led up of the to be what tested we used the word tempted but his test he was being put through a test or trial he was getting ready for preparation for the gospel for leadership preaching leading other people you notice before jesus ever led anyone he was put through these tests he didn't just go out and say well let me go get me to some disciples no he was tempted he was tested tried and true then he went to go get disciples because you can't leave if you can't lead yourself you can't leave lead others right if you can't what lead yourself you got to have some self-discipline some credibility you know sometimes you hear people telling people about um um if i were you or take my advice and the first thing you ought to do when people tell you take their advice and take on their credibility take on their success how successful have you been before you start telling me how to be successful in a thing jesus was very successful because as he came out of the wilderness he didn't fail any other tests so he was led up the spirit say it with me again he was led of the spirit to be tested again you and i can do the same thing be led of the spirit all right now verse two and when he had fasted 40 days and for tonight he was afterward and hungry now jesus was hungry was hungry listen he wasn't pretending you know the bible never said jesus was thirsty after 40 days it said he was only what hungry by the mere fact that they didn't mention he was thirsty he probably did have something some water but it certainly gave us the indication he had no food he was hungry i imagine if you were thirsty the devil would have tried to turn this stone into water you're always going to come out of with a temptation of need or desire and so he says if thou be the son of god um now that word if he know who he is he's trying to doubt bring doubt into him uh into jesus about you know his identity and jesus know who he is and even if you know who you are the devil will still make you question yourself if you are a child of god if you're a christian and then we have to come back and say well i know who i am i am a child of god i have given my life to christ he said if thou be the son of god command these stones be turned into bread now just the fact that the devil knew now can you imagine the test he put before jesus now watching how he give himself up if thou be the son of god not turn the stone to bread well you can't say if you are the son of god then turn around and say and i believe you can turn stone in the bread because i believe you can turn stoned in the bread you gotta be the son of god who can turn stone in the bread so on one end he questioned his identity on the other hand he said i know who you are turn the stone into bread and why he wanted jesus now really hear this teaching tonight why is he tempting jesus to turn stone in the bread for the mere fact that bread uh represent our physical needs and satisfaction you can go from bread to all the desire and needs of a man in the physical realm if he would have gave in to turn in the stone in the bread what he simply would have done is that i put my physical needs over my spiritual commitment to god whatever i need first physically i'm going to make sure i get it before i take care of the spiritual things so what the devil tried to tell him was always put your physical needs before god before finishing up what god wants you to do and so he said well all i want you to do is think about yourself before you think about the work of god take care of your hunger take care of your need what about you you know and if jesus had done that then he would say okay now look you need you need you need this take care of that here go another need don't worry about god take care of that so he wanted him to make sure he took care of his physical need before he took care of the things of god and jesus said no god first now notice this he did not turn the stone in the bread because he wanted to finish up the fasting and the praying and that test he was in that he would win the spiritual battle he was very close to winning the spiritual battle almost at the end of the battle it was about it was the darning before the day when the devil showed up to say you're so close to winning you don't fast it 40 days and 40 nights now right before you have your breakthrough break this spiritual test go ahead and take care of your physical need now jesus was hungry listen church he was hungry other words when the bible said he was hungry meaning he needed to eat he didn't just want to eat he what needed to eat if anyone else in here go far today without eating we're going to need to eat anybody ever try 40 days that's a long time jesus needed to eat it was a need that the devil were trying to get him to fulfill a what come on say it with me a need not a want this is so important that you get this god put the jesus put the will of god before his need that's good isn't it he had come on set with me he needed to eat not wanting to eat he needed to and the devil said i'll tell you what i bet you will take care of your knees before you take care of the things of god and you have the power is in your control to meet your own needs so turn these stones into bread and that's when jesus said this now listen very carefully again jesus said this he said unto satan he says um but he answered and said it is it is what come on say it with me written all right again what jesus went to the devil didn't start this word battle he just wanted to have a conversation y'all hear me what did the devil want to do have a conversation without mentioning the word so the babies yeah uh he wanted to have a word he want to have a conversation jesus wanted to get into the word come on now listen the devil wanted to have what without the word you know he never brought it what was written to jesus brought up what was written the devil wanted to have a conversation without bringing up the word okay why is that so important to this day he will talk about everything up to try to uh persuade us distract us discourage us he'll bring up everything in your life but what is written if you ever been battling with satan in your mind and in your spirit he never talked about what jesus said or the word said he say things like well he go with our emotions well if you feel that way that's what the devil say why don't you do it everybody else doing it see that's a conversation that's not the word we we are responsible to go to the word when he's talking to us we are responsible to put the word back on him when the devil say that god is not going to meet your needs if he was going to meet your need he would have done it by now see that's a conversation that's not the word this what you do when he say well god if god gonna meet your needs he would have done it by now if he cared about you you wouldn't be in that situation this situation you in when the devil is talking remember what your pastor's saying he's having a conversation he's not talking the word that's when you turn around and put a word on them and say wait a minute the bible says especially when you're doing what god tells him tell you to do you turn around and say but my god promised just like he did to the philippian that because i'm doing what he want me to do he shall supply all my needs according to his riches and glory he said that i'm more than a sparrow if he take care of the sparrow he'll take care of me because god loves me more than he loved the fouls of the air you must always put a word back on him because the devil gonna have a conversation you gotta have a word he don't like the word because the word again is laws principle and truth he don't want to talk about what is a law he don't want to talk about what his principle he don't want to talk about what is true he want to have a conversation with you go ahead girl go ahead man if you feel it you say no no no let's talk about the word if you start talking about the word the devil will soon flee from you but if you have a conversation he'll talk with you all night long and wake up in the morning start it back over again when you get up in the morning he'll start the conversation the devil will not talk about the word two things he if you want the devil to flee out of any situation two things that cause him to flee number one talking about the word number two praise he hate praise whenever you're going through something you still say well god i still thank you i still trust you you're still worthy to be praised and i love you lord and no matter what my situation is i'm just going to magnify you the devil will get away from you because you are not murmuring and you're not complaining he loved mummering complaining but he hate praise and he hate the word glory be to god so wash it you know at the end of that third temptation the bible say the devil flee and leave with jesus and just say just left it for a season but he left him why did he flee and lead jesus because every time he tried to have a conversation with jesus jesus said it is written dale said now if you want to talk know what the devil was saying to jesus if you're going to talk about the word all day i might as well leave i hope y'all heard that jesus would say get them out of here because that's all i'm going to talk to you about laws principle and truth that's why it's so important i want to give everyone this even those are listening online you know one of the most important things we can do before we go to sleep at night read a scripture read scripture put a word on your mind before you go to sleep or well you know i almost said you know nothing will replace scripture you can't just listen to gospel music because it may not be law of principle and truth the gospel music may be a good sound but is it really the word yeah the god yeah that could be more conversation in them songs that's why when you read the one you know we have 150 psalms in the bible and we have some more songs of solomon but those songs are the word of god written in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs so if you read a song that's the word you listen to a [Music] record or a recording of music it may not be might be may not be uh kind of hard to say these days who they even singing about you know they don't call jesus name too much no more they're just singing they're saying it to him whoever him is all right now watch this again it is written i want y'all to really hear this message tonight it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out the mouth of god what is jesus saying jesus said here's a principle here's a law here's the truth here's a principle here's a law here's the truth i want to make this personal for you tonight and for me jesus said the way i designed and created human being man after my image he must live by the word also he gonna need physical food but he is he will create it for he get his energy spiritual energy and well-being from the word what is written he get his energy to be mobile on earth by eating bread fruit whatever water for the body that will get him to have energy throughout the day if you don't eat natural food you don't have energy you're just like oh god i'm so sluggish why the body was designed in order to live you got to get fluid in it you got to get food in it and you need some good food and some good uh liquid amen and that's hard to find these days but in order for a human being to live physically god designed the body that we must have fluid we must have food bread water bread and water basically we got to have food in the body unless we're going to die within a matter of time because we did not put bread and water or whatever we need in our body we will not live long jesus also said it is written the other side of man need the word he should not live by bread alone he also must need have the what word of god so god made us two part here physical and spiritual the physical part we got it we eat enough right sometimes we might eat what too much right so we going to make sure most people mo most people make sure that every day they feed their physical man that's the other part of us jesus but i want you to also know there's another part of you that need to eat just as much but it need the word hallelujah sometimes our spirit and our souls is starving for what the word hallelujah see a word a word in time lifts us and re-energize us we can run and not be weary we can walk and not faint a person can be down like man i just feel so bad i feel so bad now watch it they can say i feel so bad ah and you say well what's wrong have you been eating yeah i've been eating you've been drinking water i got plenty of water plenty of milk orange juice whatever the case may be she said but i still feel kind of bad and then it is nothing wrong with them physically they may be in a bad place they may be in a bad mood they may be dealing with a a small bout of being depressed they may just be dealing with anxiety and stress and they say well i feel bad watch this no matter what you eat then it's not going to help you but watch this you can come and here's a true word preached or you can get in your bible and get a word and talk to jesus and all of a sudden you feel better it wasn't the natural food it was the spiritual food i've i have preached over the years and i hear and after i get through preaching someone will come and say man i needed that word that word was just for me and then somebody else come and say that word was just for me then someone else called oh i needed that that word was just for me god is amazing how he take the word and make a buffet out of it that whatever you need is on the buffet and whatever somebody else need they can get off the buffet the word is a buffet that you we didn't all eat the same thing but we ate what we needed he gave us what we needed how can god take one word and and and touch thousands off that one word why because the word have a way of gravitating to our needs i can really be talking about one thing and the word can take you to where you need in another way and so god said you we are designed watch this we are designed that we need the word we need to have a conversation with god every human being must talk to god and if they don't there's a void missing now notice this in the garden of eden adam had sinned there was no death on adam there was no sickness on adam there was no disease earthquakes no famine nothing was in the land it was perfection all out of need were met but with all that need met he still had to talk to god every morning in the cool of the day why because with all his physical need met it didn't take every spiritual need so he had to meet god in the cool of the day with everything he had he said still no sickness no death perfect world perfect health but i still got to go over and talk to god you can have the perfect perfect marriage you can have the perfect job you can have the perfect health you can have all the money you need and i guarantee you if you don't talk to god and have a relationship with god all that stuff on the other side can never replace the other side of our humanity other side of us we are physical and we are spiritual god made us physical and he made us spiritual most of the problem with people are not other people we think our problem other people we think our problem is this world how mean this world is or another person have not got their act together that we are close to and if they could ever get their act together or what a perfect world it would be jesus said listen our world and the way god made us no one is responsible for you getting really spiritually fed but you now watch this he said i'll send you pastors watch what jesus said uh god says in uh in in the old testament he said i'll send you pastors watch this and god said no pastor will be after my own heart and they shall feed you so god did this one thing god did do watch this he said i'll give you some pastors them pastor will come from my heart they have one assignment to feed you with knowledge feature with understanding that's what pastor is supposed to do but in order to feed the flock you got to go eat yourself amen and after you get from in the presence of god he said now i began to endow you for the purpose of feeding the sheep but now watch this it's still the christian the sheep responsibility to come and hear what the pastor have to say and study on their own some people don't see and i thank god for part of you i thank god for the anointing that here i thank god for your present tonight those who watching online those who will watch through the rest of the week but do you know that is a smaller small percentage of christians who go get the word only about 20 percent of christians get the word you might have 50 who go to church on occasion but a constant feeding of the word is a small percentage and yet every one of us are made up physically then spiritually we made a spirit first we are a spirit being that brought the physical body alive god breathing us and the phys and the physical man became a lie we are first spiritual and once a spirit lead the body is no good anyway no more going back uh ash and ash or dust or dust from which we were taken that which we shall return but it's amazing why we as christians say well i'm having so many problems and if i was in council meeting i said you know i love when i'm in council meeting is people say okay tell me your problems and when i'm listening to them naming out and numbering their problems and i'm listening i'm a good listener when it comes to hearing what i need to say to you in in the counseling uh and the person most time their problem is other people other people whether family members co-workers or a relationship marriage or who they dating and most of the problem of that then sometimes bad habits addiction and many other things that go on down the line at the end of the day when i'm done all the listening i said you know what the problem is the problem you're having is not other people it's nothing to do with anything outside of you your problem is on the inside you are not connecting spiritually like you should with god because people are gonna always be people the world gonna always be the world and you're gonna always have to get up and make a living until you make it and then when you make it you gotta know how to keep it but you're gonna always have to do something so these problems you're talking about they was here before you were born they'll be here when you die they will be here in florida you want to move to new york they'll be in new york you want to move to chicago it'll be in chicago you want to move to hollywood it'll be in hollywood wherever you go you've got to get yourself together and what where is that it starts on the inside connecting with god because once we connect with god what happens is he minister to us the greatest thing about being connected with god and being able to fine-tune your spiritual hearing he will talk to you to us throughout the day and we will hear him ministering to our needs and hurts and our emotions he won't leave us alone he talks to us and that one thing we don't want to disconnect ourselves from being able to hear god's voice jesus said my sheep hear my voice and he know how to talk to each other in his own way so uh let's go a little further he said it is written and jesus taught me again laws principles and truth and i hope i'm running through that fast but i hope you really get it laws principles and truth whenever you go to the word of god law's principle and truth you can always depend that god's word would never change and it is true it's a law it's a principle it just it's amazing what god has done with the word that's why god can that why god cannot say one thing today and change tomorrow because god himself have uh obligated or held himself accountable to his word now it's amazing how god has done that uh jehovah god christ jesus even the holy spirit he said when jesus said the holy spirit he said when the holy spirit come watch what jesus said and i won't turn to it right now he said when the holy spirit come to earth he will not talk of things of himself but he will talk of that which he have heard so what jesus said about the holy spirit that the holy spirit is is going to talk about the laws the principle he has nothing different than what god has to say amen and so again this is what i'm saying whenever you go to god's word god's word is law of principle true now god held himself accountable you know when jesus was on earth uh they asked someone they say well how can what you say is true because nothing is true this how they have a law back there nothing is true unless you have someone to witness in other words if you walk back in the days of jesus even the day they was and you would say well this and this they said no it can't be true unless you have someone who is a witness and someone who is greater who who who backing up what you say so you notice that when they would teach listen church when they would teach they would say things like this abraham said or moses said and so whenever they would say moses said abraham said that moses and abraham really had nothing to say because whatever they were saying god gave it to him so they said abraham said moses said that's why jesus boy and i wanna you know sometimes i start teaching i get ready to run and shout out to hold myself down this is what this is what made jesus the greatest teacher to ever walk this place called earth and i'm not gonna turn all these scriptures but when i when i say what i have to say you're gonna if you ever studied the bible you're gonna see it the rest of your life how jesus taught when they would teach they had no authority they couldn't teach with authority matter of fact do y'all remember reading the scripture where they said this about jesus never has a man ever spoken like this for he speak with authority even when jesus commanded the wind and the wave to stop the disciples on the ship were so shocked when the wind and waves ceased and there was a great calm they said what kind of man is this that he even speak with authority to the wind and the wave every time he opened his mouth he don't ask for permission he don't bring up i have to have moses unless he said moses said in the law what y'all not doing but he didn't have to get their permission to say something but when the pharisees and the sadducees and the sanhedrin talk they would say well moses said in the law that a woman called an adulterer must be stoned what'd you say or they would say uh abraham said or on and on they would go but when jesus got ready to teach he said but i say unto you what is he saying i am god and when i open my mouth it's the word i bring authority with me i bring truth and i bring principle i say unto you you see and you was all with him say i say or i am i am the bread of life you see he will talk about things in a sense as i need no i need no authority i am the authority so whenever you read jesus he is walking around and even when he got ready to cast the devil out he didn't beg that devil he just told the devil come out of the boy uh when he got ready raised a little girl that had been dead he said arise daughter rise he was talking with authority this is the god we serve he when we serve him he he speaks in a way of ownership he is god so what made jesus the greater teacher on earth is because when he came he came as the principal he came as the law he came as truth even in the book of hebrew he said the book the whole volume of the book is about me he is he said i'm the book that you study i'm the book and that's something they would ask when jesus was like in the temple teaching and they would say who is this and they will say base look around and he has all the wisdom and he has all this knowledge but where did he get it from you know what the uh said he didn't ask that they had a school of theology a school of the law school to study about the ordinance and history of the word they did it all day and all night jesus comes in as the word clover be the god and he's is the book it's written of him and this bible that you and i hold this bible is probably not even a tenth of who god is matter of fact the bible says if they try to write everything that he did why wouldn't work there won't be enough books to hold it how you think see see these these books that we have in the bible how you think this book i hold in my hand can describe who god is you think we can put god in these pages this just enough for us we can't keep we can't do this but if you're going to try to describe who god is you can't put them in a book glory be to god listen church you can't put god in six or six books and all these pages you you can't confine him and say now i know about god you can read from genesis to revelation every word and when you get through you can't say well i know god no you just know enough to try to do for yourself now watch this if you want to know more about god you've got to go beyond the bible you got to read the bible then you got to connect to god in spirit see god is a spirit and they that worship him come on y'all got it now they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth so if i want to know more about god i read my bible and now i get in his present in the spirit and what god does he brings in a a relationship and a knowledge and understanding that goes beyond just the pages what watch what the apostle paul said the apostle paul says i have given up everything i caught counted as dung and i do all of that that i might know him paul is writing the word and paul said but i want to know him and i want to know him beyond just what i'm writing in the book because he's greater than just what's in the book he made somebody can you imagine what the bible says the bible says we look now at god partially we see him in parts we look like we're looking through a dark glass he said but one day we should know him like he know us glory be to god one day we will get in his presence and then our eyes can see totally spiritually and we're gonna say the book thank god for the bible but it didn't do you all the justice it was like when the queen of sheba had heard about solomon y'all remember that and then she messed around and went to where solomon was and when she saw all the glory she said the half was not told she said i heard you i heard about all the great things you were doing he said but then now my eyes have seen it solomon and what people told me now that i see it they have was not told one of these days when we get in the presence of god around the great throne and we're gonna say lord we thought we knew you hallelujah all right let's see let's go a little bit farther uh and and and and look what he says to us now again if we are spiritual which we are we have to ask ourselves sometimes how well do i take care of myself spiritually if you take care of yourself spiritually by reading the word hiding it in your heart dissolving absorbing the word this is what will happen this is what will happen to you please hear me if you take care of yourself spiritually you study you pray you get with god in the spiritual god is a spirit now whenever trouble comes your way the word is brought back to your remembrance you can't god can't pull up what not or have not been put in now he can connect in the realm of the spirit but if you put something in what would normally knock you completely out and just make you miserable when you have the word of god you go through that thing a whole lot different somebody give god a hand praise there amen all right let me let's just do the last two then um he says uh look at verse five then the devil taken him up to a holy city and sent them upon the pentagon of the temple and said unto them if thou here he go again if thou be the son of god cast that itself down now the devil want to talk about what's written there right he said for it is written he shall give his angel charged concerning thee and in their hands they shall bear thee up lest at any time die that's our foot against the song now that was in psalm 91 and we don't have to turn there uh where it uh it would written that if if if jesus were to fall if god's son the son of god was to fall if he were to say it with me fall the devil would the angel of god will swoop him up and not let him hurt himself if he was accidentally about to get hurt the angel protects him and we saw it out throughout the bible that jesus said look if i want to i can call angel but what the devil was saying he tried to twist it when he went to the written word he said it's written if you thought if if you cast yourself down cast yourself down there's a lot of difference between casting jumping and falling yes lord if i jump i'm tempting god to protect me from getting hurt like god i'm gonna jump down here off this uh 10 story building and let me see what i get hurt god say don't tempt me you know i love you but don't tell me now if you're about to get in an accident god can protect you but he said don't don't don't don't play with me like that now jesus said it is written now watch what jesus said it is written thou shalt not tempt the lord thy god now you devil if you're gonna quote the word quote it right amen all right last one and and the devil taking him uh up to a sydney high mountain you show him the things all the things of the kingdom of the world and then and the glory of him now this is like been some type of world boss world leader and he says look if you want that stuff uh verse nine all these things i give to you if thou will fall down and worship me now every time i look at verse nine notice what the devil said if you want this stuff i can give it to you now you know don't think the devil can't give you something it come with a price if you were to bow down and worship me i'll give you these things now i hope that the right person hear this teaching tonight online maybe in here notice the devil he said just bow down and make me your god and i'll give you some things how many people in this world have done that they don't bow down and make the devil what their god and they got a lot of illegal stuff and it'll hurt a lot of people to get it that's is the price of bowering down to get it when you're bound down to the devil the next thing i want you to understand about the devil is that jesus called him a liar and he's he's a he's the father of lies that what jesus said in other words if the devil promised you to give you something he can give it to you but he never he don't have to promise that you can keep it he never said i promise that i'll give it and you can keep it he said i'll give it to you how many you don't seen people in your lifetime the devil gave him something and just at the right time he came back to take it back and sometimes even lock them up or take their lives see the devil only promised to give you something but never to sustain it i love jesus because he says when i give you something i'll never leave you i'll never forsake you and i will shield and protect you i'm just there he is not someone that sets you up to fall hallelujah somebody so the bible says now uh now last thing jesus said here you go again he said get the get behind me satan for it here go jesus every time he spoke he said it is what [Music] thou shalt worship the lord thy god and him only shall i serve now look what verse 11 says then the devil what leaving him and behold angels came and ministered unto all his need basically so when jesus stuck with the word the word stuck with him and that's what god is calling for us to do to keep our mind keep our spirit fed up i know the world got a lot of things they want to show us how you can have look really it doesn't matter what you have in life if you don't have jesus it's not the same a house is not necessarily a home amen happiness is not necessarily joy y'all got it you see a lot of people they can be what happened but not have joy things can make you happy joy come from the lord you can have joy with less things yes how many y'all know what i'm talking about you don't have to have everything to have joy but happiness happiness is never satisfied it always need the newest and the greatest to keep it happy amen y'all know the old story about the dog that dog who had the biggest bone in town this dog had the biggest bone in town and he would put it in the mouth and walk around with the head up high because he knew that he was the dog with the biggest bone in town so the dog would parade through the streets with a head up high tail in the air prancing with this big old bone because no dog had a bone bigger than him see he was happy because he had outdone everybody every other dog and one day he was prancing across a bridge and he happened to look down in the water now he didn't have enough sense to know that was himself he was looking at but the water illuminated the bone made the bone big and when he looked down he saw in the water a dog with a bone bigger than his he opened his mouth to complain hallelujah y'all got it he had the bone in his mouth and when he saw the bone down the dog would have he opened him out to complain about how you can have a bigger bone and he dropped his bone now he has no bone what made him happy was the dog with the biggest bone but joy will make you happy joy will give you joy when somebody else have whatever they have you don't even care what they have you still have joy they can have a bigger house but you may have more joy in your house and you're not complaining that they house bigger yours you're just saying hey i guess you got a bigger mortgage something going on but thank god for what he has given us see that's the richness of having this relationship with god we get to a point of where we're just happy with jesus we're happy with our lives god trying to get to a place where we are just full of not happening full of joy with him and that's why that's the only way that happened is we connect spiritually and this whole world that we live in this whole world that we're living in they're chasing behind things and every it's we're just like that dog we're trying to outdo somebody trying to be the big dog on the block trying to be number one in the world and deep down deep down nobody really cares i mean real people don't care you can be so blessed in god listen church once you start walking with god you can be so blessed in god that you forget not forget to be thankful but somebody have to remind you of how blessed you are because you're so busy worshiping god and with god the blessing is not what you focus on and somebody turn around and say well god been good to you he said yes he is and then they start naming things he said man i'm just too busy focusing on him he keep adding things while i'm seeking him he just add things to my life i'm just so blessed but i just don't concentrate on the things cause the things are not my blessing the god other things the god who gave me the thing that's where my blessing is that i'm not concentrating on those things concentrating on god that cannot be taken away hallelujah somebody and so thank god for our makeup if you want to continue to walk in the fullness of god you want to get on that level and i guess i'm going to say it a little bit if somebody want to ask a question or i'll make a comment uh i don't know how many mics we do we have in the mics in here if case you do they hear me back there if you do we'll bring them out amen well but but but you know to god be the glory uh thank god for our spiritual makeup because thank god if you ever want to walk into fullness on a new level and i remember years ago this probably 10 or 15 years ago when everybody was going to a lot of people christians were going to conferences it was a big thing for about 5-10 years do y'all remember that when everybody had to go to this conference that conference and it was already go to conferences but this what was getting me at the time everybody was saying this that if you come to our conferences come to the conference you're going to be on a new level and i was saying okay you're going to take somebody in two days or three days and you're going to put them on a new level i never seen nobody go to new levels in one or two days i've seen them go to new emotional levels but not a new spiritual level because spiritual level is gained through trials see the trine of your faith will work the patient and on and on and patient will not let you be ashamed give you hope so i know that come here we're going to get you emotionally on a new level but new level don't come until you pass some type of trial and you didn't and nobody went that weekend and passed no trial i don't believe maybe a few people but it's the trying of what you know to take you to new level and the passing of that that takes a new level so uh new level start with okay god i'm i'm in your word and now i'm ready for the trial to take me to the new level everybody when we start calling out names in the bible it was the trials that they passed that make us know they went to another level like every minute we say daniel then we say oh the lion you're dead yeah that was his trial and that's why we remember him it was the passing of the faith in the lion then that trial new level king got him out and said got to worship the lord daniel god what paul and silas what happened they was in a roman jail it was midnight and they'd been beaten and scrapped and that that trying at midnight they began to sing praises and sang unto god and the prisoner heard them it was that would make us remember that they went to a new level amen the three hebrew boys what they say we will not bow you want to throw us in the fire throwers in the fire and then we remember them because in the fire the fourth man showed up and they went to a new level now have you been in the fire have you been in the lion then have you been what what trial took you to a new level so next time god bring a trial your way don't complain just say new level time if you pass it if you don't pass he'll bring it back don't worry he don't mind coming back at you but it's the trying of us that take us a new level and like tonight you came to bible study you have heard the teaching and you heard the preaching uh i guess i preached i think i preached talk whatever the case may be you don't heard it with the hearing that you are spiritual and you are natural we got the food down we're going to eat that but god said now get in my word and now when the trial come you are ready for the battle pass that test and watch how your mental spiritual mind shift and your faith level goes up that what used to bother you a lot you look at the same thing now say but i have a different faith look at it now we always come to church for a new level whatever you're going through when you leave here today listen whatever the night when you leave here whatever you go back to there was a problem before you left if you go back to it don't look at the problem look at it as a test to take you to a new level and that may be patient you're going to need forgiveness you're going to need all the other things but god is always trying to get us to new levels and it don't happen because you get emotional and have good church good church can fool you hallelujah what you need is the testing of your faith and the passing of the test as jesus did and that new level changes everything we become we become soldiers on the front line for jesus when you go into spiritual warfare you want to go into spiritual warfare with tested people all right last thing to say if you want to have good church you can come with someone who shout and get a lot of emotion if you want to go into spiritual warfare you better call me someone been tested and say look we need to start touching the grin we're going to come against this thing in the spirit realm we're going to break this thing i need you touching the green two of us touching the green on earth it shall be done in heaven i need this spiritual warrior now i don't need somebody to just want to have a good time and when the trouble come they don't know how to fight glory be to god all right to god be to go everyone want to make a comment or ask a question all right y'all good somebody hand what's up oh over here yes sister michael wien wayne lord um my comment is that um i think it was either last week or the week before you were in genesis and you were talking about how he had a conversation with eve and then on tonight you were talking about how he had a conversation with jesus who it is the devil oh yeah and so my my comment is just that it's the same trick right he he just uses that conversation and he uses the same trick he keeps coming back with the same trick and we need to remember that when we're going through our tests and our trials that he will come with the same trick even if it's something that you've been over and done with for years and years and years he'll circle back around and he'll try it on you again so just remember what pastor said come at him with the word amen amen because all the devil god has is a conversation he has no word someone said well the devil watch this you hear people say the devil has do the same old thing he has no new tricks and so if you ask the devil said devil why you have no new tricks and devil says because the old one keep working [Applause] i don't need no new one i'm old one keep working same old trick i pulled watched at the same tricky pull or the self being deceitful in the garden you know what we did in the garden adam eve watch what he did please hear this and you'll see why why he never changes he said adam eve eat this fruit take care of your physical before yours before your spiritual and when they saw that when they saw that the fruit was good and the eyes saw it all the five cents went to working they took oh go okay god word over here they took and they ate on the fruit and what happened was disobedient put the physical before the spiritual he comes in the wilderness and the first temptation is jesus eat it well why are you trying this on jesus it worked on the first adam it worked in the garden so he comes and tells jesus the first time man fell it was with food but beyond that the physical being put before the natural for before the spiritual so he comes out in the wilderness and the first trick he tries is with food again you might not know this but food is a bigger trick of the day today today food is the biggest deception in the world food all right i gotta close watch this if someone break up have a good relation they break up i don't know do men do that but i hear a lot of women do it they go watch it instead of say well i'm gonna go to god and i'm gonna deal with this problem spiritually she'll get a whole gallon of ice cream get some comforting food or some wine or something to or whatever a man or woman get wine alcohol drug whatever to not to deal with it but the physical satisfaction of putting something in the body she'll eat and eat and eat it eat a man made drinking break and then it just bought they said i got to put something in this body beside going to god and when they get enough food in them they just say okay i don't care and they do care because they haven't been solved so now they go get another gamma and get the chocolate cake with it why because food is trying to bring a deception that if you eat it you're going to be all right it's comforting but it don't solve anything y'all got it just watch people and i always say this too and that's not all the cases but in many cases when i'm when a man is out there really if any [Music] i guess i'll leave it alone but many lord jesus just be careful ladies when you're going out to dinner and getting to know the man before you start doing all that eating i'll just put it that way he want to take you somewhere and feed you and then probably your last time going there but they're gonna impress you and eat good and all that it would have been better to grab a hot dog and sit on a bench and say i need to get to know you don't don't fill me up with the cadillac and salt music and all this stuff and i don't know you food can be deceiving the bible says you sit before a man and he said eat eat eat but but it's hard it's not for you but he said if i can get you to eat i don't know what i'm talking about i remember about 10 15 years ago about to buy a car and i'm ready to negotiate and and they sell them and say look go get you some coffee and donuts [Laughter] go get some coffee donate and i said no i get the coffee doughnut after we take care of business i don't need that coffee doughnut right now that's why y'all got no coffee doughnut peppermint on that table y'all want something in the mouth let's talk business i hope you all got it god is good amen let's give him awesome praise tonight for his word there's nothing like the word of god and i thank god for we always get someone in bible study amen let me say this because i forgot to mention it sunday sister charlotte charlotte powell powell uh we will have a husband homegoing service here at 11 o'clock right eleven o'clock or twelve two o'clock okay two o'clock they changed okay two o'clock this saturday uh we didn't mention it sunday but i wanna mention it now she is such a faithful member of this lo of our church she's have always showed up faithfulness and so we want to be there in her time of need amen uh and then we will mention uh the uh suddenly we'll mention mention our brother castro we'll put more emphasis on i know on the uh feeding and giving out of food and which is i just was that the day the 10 okay friday september the 10th and we'll say more about it sunday all right we've been blessed to god be the glory amen let us pray father god in jesus name what an awesome time you have set in our present and you have just gave us discernment of your word uh that we are spiritual and we are physical and that we need your word not just uh we are made up to need it and so god as we leave here today let us all remember if we once we receive wisdom and knowledge and understanding god you can always bring it back up five years from now ten years from now if we put it in you will uh god uh bring it out of our hearts where we have hid it then you are spiritual john 4 and 24 god you are a spirit and we must worship you beyond just the word we got to get into spiritual worship for we must worship you in spirit and also in truth and along with the word of truth in jesus name we pray let every heart say amen
