Oak father preserve you the Druid hey Soldier and the Barbarian two classes that are very different but can work very well in Tangent let's dive in okay so you want to be a druid Barbarian or a barbarian if you get it cuz of wellshit anyway we will do this now when you're doing this there are two key things to remember firstly we want to take a class or we want to take our first class in through it and this is for the simple reason that we'll get a more spread across the board when it comes to other factors and other um abilities which will be used in the game itself outside of combat now we will go over a demonstration of why this build is so good but I want to talk you through a step by step level by level of how we're going to approach this the whole idea of a druid Barbarian is you get the extra Health pool from W shape such as being in a bear or an Al bear shape but you also get the benefits of Rage from Barbarian and both of these can be done in conjunction you also have the added benefit of being able to heal yourself with things such as cure wounds healing word any healing spells that you can then put on your Barbarian to make him more tanky so we will Begin by taking a Dr class spells wise I would personally take there's not really many things you can do right or wrong here if you haven't got Shadow heart in your team or anyone else that has guidance guidance can be a good one to take but for all intense purposes for this we are going to stick with Thorn Whip and we will stick with SH both of these are very good spells for Mar our Druid form because we're only going to have a certain amount of Barbarian charges ability score wise now when it comes to our ability points we want most of our factors to be in wisdom as this is what our ability skills will be in and it will also be the power for our spells Constitution as that will affect our HP P or our health pool and dexterity as this is what we need for our armor class which can be very helpful if we're a barbarian because we might not be wearing heavy armor we might be using just clothing or maybe light or medium armor depending on how you want to play it but these three dexterity Constitution and wisdom are what you really want to focus on so across the board you might want something that looks a bit like this maybe like 15 or 14 or 17 sign along these lines you've got 27 points to play with you just don't want to be too like you want to be careful you're not getting too many minuses to your saving throws sometimes it is better to have things more balanced as such so we will stick with this when it comes to proficiencies I would personally Go nature and insight Insight will help you out and about in the game world and nature will just get rid of that minus one buff but it will also help us recognize some plants animals okay so we have our first level in Druid now for level two we are going to be spreading ourselves a little thin but not too bad and we are going to take Barbarian reason for this being is we get access to rage immediately we also get access to unarmored defense so while you're wearing armor or sorry while you're not wearing armor your Constitution modifier is added to your armor class this is very helpful if we put all our points into Constitution and decks our AC will keep going higher and higher we also get access to simple weapon efficiency this will help us when we're in our rage if we're using a weapon we're proficient with or when we're in our Druid form and not wild shaping we also get Marshall as well two things very helpful and you can Shield up if you really want to for level three I would now Focus purely on Druid reason being is we want more wall shapes we also want access to our specialization now for this you obiously have circle of the land we have circle of the Moon and we have circle of spores I myself I would go circle of the Moon as this allows us to Wild shape into things like Bears into owl bears and we get combat shape which means as a bonus action we can assume the form of a beast and we can transform twice per short rest and this works in conjunction with Rage which we'll show you later okay so when it comes to our level two spells I would personally stick with enhanced leap this is amazing for if we're being our Barbarian means we can leap across the battlefield and get further and further healing word and cure wounds perfect Thunder Wave I think is a underrated spell this is very very helpful when you're out and about and it's very good at pushing enemies off of the ledge or whatever dealing a little bit of extra damage or outright killing them this saved my butt so many times I would get rid of ice knife personally and I would put in here speak with animals reason being is saves you having to buy potions or Scrolls just pop this it will last till you long rest and then you don't have to worry about it again okay we're then going to take our Druid to level three we now have level two spell slots and we have level one spell slots so from this we have access to another one I would get rid of ice knife again and I would give myself access to bark skin reason being is I early game when we're in our normal Druid form without raging BK skin is very helpful the only issue is it is a concentration spell bear that in mind okay level four we will take Barbarian to level two this gives us danger sense which is amazing have advantage on dexterity saving throws against traps spells and surfaces and since dexterity is one of the things we are going to be focusing on when it comes to ASIS this is a perfect thing to take and we also get flame blade which is pretty helpful level six we are going to be taking Barbarian to level three again this gives us an additional rage charge and we'll also get access to our specialization and we can remove speak of animals now from our spell list which is very nice for this we are going to want to go with wild heart and with this i' would go Elk Heart so while ranging you can use Primal sede and and your movement speed increases by 4.5 M very very good for getting us into the throw of the battle a lot quicker now you could also go for be hot it'll give us resistance to all damage except psychic damage which I think is very very good but we do have the ability with the Druid to heal oursel using our spell slots it kind of depends you can go with be heart and you'll be a lot more durable and a lot more tanky or you can go with Elkart be a bit more Nimble and stuff there's no right or wrong option here I would probably go elart and then just keep healing with our spell slots if we're raging but you can't go wrong okay it's now time to take our Druid to level four now this gives us the option to we have access to our Feats we will continue with our things our spells we will take guidance this time cuz why not these spells aren't amazing now you have decisions to make it you can do an ability score Improvement so you can put your ability scores up by two two so we could take our constitution to 16 we could take our dexterity to 17 take our wisdom to uh 19 we could split them take our wisdom to 18 and our decks to 60 so they become a plus three and a plus four or we can go have our Feats now there are a few Feats here you could take you could take durable so your Constitution increases by one to a maximum of 20 it's a good spell but I think when you get the extra Health pool from your wall shape it's not really needed we could go with warcaster this is a great feat I think War clast is amazing we gain advantage on saving thrs when trying to concentrate on a spell and we can also use shocking grasp as a reaction very good spells really good feat the only thing I would say if you are going to mainly want to focus on your rage you're not going to be able to use shocking grass while you're in your animal forms might be something you want to think about the only other one I would recommend would be Sentinel so this means as a reaction you can Target someone who is an attack attacked an ally and we get opportunity we get an advantage on opportunity attacks when we've hit something with an opportunity attack I personally in this spot would take the ASI Improvement but obviously your points here might look different but for me I would take the ASI and I would put into decks I'll put it into wisdom spell so we now we can get rid of speak of animals we can now get rid of enhanced leap if we wanted to because we took the elk form but you can leave it and animal friendship so I remove these and I would take his Spike growth now any enemy that walks towards us will take 2 to eight piercing damage every 1.5 M it moves this is really good you can place in front of enemies and then get them to walk through it while you're setting up your wall shapes and whatnot so I would take this unfortunately is a concentration so it won't last long but for a single round it could be what you need to get some damage going there are a few other options we have another concentration spell moon beam again very very good at just dealing some radiant damage I would avoid things like flame blades stuff like this because if we are in our Barbarian form it's not going to be the most helpful so I would take moon beam personally okay once again we are going to take our Druid 2 level five now this gives us access to third level spell slot and wall strike which means we get a extra attack while in our wild shape form and if we're raging you know what that means extra damage more just ability to throw out these attacks and tank a lot better SLE storm is a great spot I would leave this again it is concentration much like a spike growth but deals damage on hit and it can make enemies fall onto the floor meaning that if you can get to them and not fall over you can just whale on these PR enemies awesome spell projection from protection from energy I would avoid as well and I in this instance would take cool lightning very much like witch bolt but phenomenal spell again is concentration bear this in mind we are now level 9 Barbarian we now have access to Al bear now what level five we had access to bear at level six we now have access to the AL bear shape it has a health pool of 65 points and that increases every two Druid Levels by the time we hit level eight with our Druid it will now have extra Health phenomenal and with Primal strike when we're in our Beast form our attacks count as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance and Immunity to non-magical damage something that the Barbarian will not have unless it has an item or weapon that allows you to do this very key Point here now that we have access to another third level spell again projection from Poison can be very helpful there are a lot of poison traps in this game could be a great thing to use and it last until you have a long rest okay we are now at level seven Druid we have gone to 79 Health which might not feel like a lot but as we spoke about before when you put the 65 extra Health on top with the Alba you now have 135 Health at level 10 insane amount and you can throw some spells out and whatnot now for this this is where we're going to get a little bit more crazy with the uh points it wants to take wall of fire we will cancel this and we are going to take conjure Woodland being now this is very helpful if you are running out of uh rages or if you have a smaller battle and you'd like to save some of your rage charges or your well shaped forms conjure Woodland be if you conjure this they have an ability where they can uh conjure their Woodland lover which means your summon gets a summon so you now have a party of four that's gone to five with this conjure Woodland be which is now level gone to six when they summon their lover six people on the battlefield to help you damage and then you can go into your world shape if you choose to don't have to but if you choose to you then have that option okay we are now a level 11 Druid 86 Health we've also unlocked the wild sabertooth tiger shape and we have an access to level four from here if you want to do your air size you could we could take our dexterity up to 18 to give us a plus four take our con to uh 16 give us a plus three wisdom to 20 to max out at plus five but for this we will take Sentinel so we get those opportunity attacks against people that have been hit now we can do Vengeance snare or opportunity Advantage Advantage opportunity attacks could be amazing especially if we are in our Al bear shape or whatever because there's more chance them having to run around us to get other people cuz we're a wider object snare is okay but it will leave you if you are surrounded and someone tries to run away and you need to free yourself up a little bit this might work against you but overall if you're trying to take as much damage as possible and keep your companion safe this is a great shout Vengeance when an enemy with a mely range attacks an ally you can use a reaction to make a weapon attack against the Ally this is nine times out of 10 what you're going to take it's the most useful one so we took our condra Woodland being again wants to take wall of fire I would personally skip out on this and I would take ice storm much like the previous one the Sleep storm ice storm is phenomenal and all or we could take freedom of movement last until long rests snapping all of stun and difficult train can't slow them and they cannot be paralyzed or restrained it's perfect this would be might one last until a WR rest it is no concentration you throw this up you rage you've going into your W shape and you are dashing around the battlefield okay we are now level 9 Druid 93 Health if you throw your Al bear form on top you are looking at 150 HP at the minimum because we are Druid we will take Mass cure wounds again this allows us to heal ourselves so if you are raging and you are in the thick of the battle and you are taking as much damage as possible and you lose your wall shape you can end your rage throw a heal up heal yourself rrage re wild shape depending on where you are with your abilities um yeah a barbarian that heals itself what's not to love you can have an indefinite Health pull almost so that is our leveling system we are going to now show off the fight in in its all glory so let's go find some combat and I'll show you just how this works okay so here we are we're in the thick of the battle now I've given Danton our Barbarian I've got to stop saying AKP people are coming in halfway our Druid Barbarian multiclass the weakest armor in the game so it's just some casual light armor no magic benefits no plus ones nothing and we're going to check this out so as I was talking about before conjure Woodland being so conjure Woodland being as I was saying this can take your party from 4 to 6 and I'll show you how if we conjure our Woodland being we'll do it at level four cuz there is no difference between these we'll just conjure them here so we have here rage elut so it grants us extra swiftness and we still wild shap cuz these are bonus actions so as I she we World we'll uh rage there we go we're now resistant to poison damage which is perfect so here is our dryad our Woodland Bean that has just been conjured they have a range of abilities here but as I was saying Fallen lover if we Now cast that we'll put them in the space here we now have six party members to deal with in this fight now it is their full turn unfortunately but very tanky they can Dash they hav tangle but they do a good chunk of damage throw them in the F like this and they will be able to tank a lot of stuff you have to surrender the other benefit is if you have another Druid let's say that has this the same ability yep conjure Woodland be we can do the exact same thing we will throw it up let's say we throw it here as an Initiative for four they can do the exact same thing summon their fallen lover and now our party of four has now become eight just from having two Druids in the team so this is something to bear in mind if you wanted to do a dual Druid you've got your Barbarian Druid over here but we also have a pure Druid here so you can make Jiro or house a pure spellcaster and still have this ability here where we have our tanky Druid as well but we now have more on the battlefield to contend with and any summons that survived the fight will walk around with you and if you end up in another fight or if you're going through a gauntlet anything like that they will still be in the rotation okay so as I was saying before we now are a barbarian that can heal ourself and also have access to extra damage and extra Health pools so as an example if I cast the concentration spell of moon beam and we'll just pop it here if we then begin to rage unfortunately we will lose that concentration concentration broken so bear that in mind when you want to do this you will lose that ability that you just cast so if you have any Buffs that you're using that concentration or spells like moon beam they will disappear as soon as you hit that rage button okay so as you can see here we have taken some damage now we can go into our wall shape we will become the Alba so we're 63 out of 93 so we become our Alba we still keep our rage hot our rage elk hot sorry and we can now whale on enemies while in this form with some pretty good damage okay so you can see we're on 40 out 78 Health again even while in our rage we can heal ourselves so we have Luna men so if we let's say we expend a level three spell slot not only do we heal ourself up we still keep that rage going and we can still throw some attacks that when they actually hit just like that really really good at just keeping our momentum going okay so our Al is on 11 health I believe there we go I'm on my way if we go up here not quite what I meant to do if we go up here and we just stab it you'll see he pops back down to 62 out 93 so we just got an extra like 65 Health just for being in bare form and we still get to hit the unarmed strikes so yeah we went down to 43 health or Sor we went down to 63 Health out of 93 which is amazing and what we can do from here is we can immediately pop back into our wall shape let's say this time we go with a be we have another 66 Health pool which we can now just use to stay in the fight and to keep hitting the enemies so that my friends is the Druid Barbarian
