A Tesla & 6 Other Cars Stuck in Same Spot

so we got a call for a couple of cars i think we've got a nissan altima and then some other car they're on the babylon mill road and they're stuck in the sand so we're going to go out there and see if we can get them we got ed hi everybody a little cloudy hot we'll get him out hey oh my god wait for you guys you know better yeah you know better people they said uh you you were not going to uh help us they're not gonna come down here yeah you you were not gonna stop at the road and they're gonna let you here yeah and we were like oh my god where are you guys from uh we are we're from spain we're coming from california okay go ahead and start it up okay and turn your wheels all the way [Music] it's the one we want the little one [Music] go ahead and put it in drive okay take your foot off the brake okay we're just going to pull you up there when you see me stick my hand out the window just step on the brake slowly and we'll unhook you and send you on your you way it pretty nice in there right now [Music] thank you thank you thank you for being the perfect student thank you [Music] well they were sure happy we showed up and we got them out and we give them a card and they'll probably watch us on youtube and uh it was fast so we got a call for a chevy colorado that's stuck in the sand near the babylon arch campground area and we're gonna go out there and see if we get it out [Music] so randy decided that he wanted to come and help film this one so he's uh driving here real fast [Music] [Music] [Music] this is not a very hard pull [Music] [Music] appreciate you [Music] so [Music] are you guys stuck too you want me to have them come back what's going on they're they're stuck too [Music] oh yeah with the trailer it almost got me too [Music] [Music] okay you should be good thank you so much okay thank you appreciate y'all thank you so much why is the cameraman breathing so hard tim we're out of shape cardio out of shape so we got there um and both of those trucks were two-wheel drive so they needed help up through that sand and uh you can kind of see what we did we hooked up to them and got them pulled out eventually i don't know why they drove their two uh two-wheel drive trucks down there so we got a call for a ford focus that's stuck in the sand down at babylon mill we're gonna head down there and see if we can get it out and we got lizzy with us today helping out yeah hello come on say something bubble you got a bubble hi i'm busy and i like to park no no i'm i like to party that's a hot rod i actually know that movie but we're heading out to babylon mills and i've never been there so it's gonna be exciting we'll see how it goes go ahead and start it up the tiniest bit of gas probably not very much until you're up on top and then just watch really close um keep the rope tight you got it i don't see what's so bad about this randy i'll let you get under there and unhook [Music] that's fine we just leave that all together to go ahead and get in i'm gonna have him turn this car around you're welcome so they weren't too hard to find because they were right in the middle of the road but we got there and got them pulled back and uh in case you're wondering exactly how far that was lizzy backed up about a half a mile it was that long holy cow it did not seem like that i was just looking back the whole time lizzy's learning the ropes of off-road recovery and she's picking it up quick all i gotta say is practice makes perfect the more you do something the more you get better at it so you'll notice that i do a lot of pulling in reverse and there's some information out there about the damage that that can cause to your drivetrain for pulling in reverse i'm going to show you my setup and why it's not a problem i'm running what's called a low pinion differential on the front and the rear um all they're always going to be a little opinion on the rear but on the front you have the option of high opinion and low opinion do i look comfortable because i'm not so the high opinion are generally considered to be stronger than the low pinion but that has to take into account the direction that you're actually working them so if you're working them in forward the high pinion is stronger than the low pinion but in reverse the opposite is true so when i'm pulling in reverse it's just like a jeep that was pulling in forward if it had a dana 44 in the rear and a low pinion dana 60 in the front so anyway when i'm pulling in reverse i'm putting the load the correct way on the dana 44 the strongest way that it is and i'm putting it the weakest way on the dana 60 but the weakest way on a dana 60 is probably or it's going to be significantly stronger than the strongest way on a 44 so it's really a non-issue i can pull forward or reverse basically as hard as i want to without having to worry about ruining my axes i'm less likely to break the front axle but really really what i'm going to break on this front axle is going to be the u-joints just out there on the steering so do i look awkward down here i feel awkward as heck do you see what i go through to get you guys information that you want so we got a call for a tesla that's stuck in the sand on the babylon mill road and we're gonna go out there and see if we get them out we got lizzy helping us today yep like 100 degrees out and see how it goes ed's having a good time down on his claim in uh california doing some gold prospecting uh we'll look forward to seeing him when he comes back i think it's going to be a good day is this thing going to have then staying on top of the sand is more important than helping you drive rudy will tell you too much not enough too much not enough but you'll probably just figure it out [Music] [Music] so you should just be able to go down there find a spot to turn around there's a there's a turn around spot like a trailhead sorry we left here randy so we'll go up to rooney's are you okay there's only like 105 out there it's only 90. how do you turn the hazards off do you know yeah push the button what button the brights are on too pull the lever on your left towards you that'll turn the brakes up once the brakes on okay push it off you're good [Music] how long have you guys had it uh a man oh it's brand new 2020 yeah fantastic car not made for set we didn't know that okay [Music] what that smell stop barbie he was he was going to pick you up on the four-wheeler oh well they offered so i took it yeah so we got a call for a kia optima that's stuck down on the babylon mill road so we're gonna head down there and see if we can get it i think this is like a car a day for the last two weeks that's been stuck in this spot i think it's going to be a good day good morning there you are on video i think we're on video today mile yeah we've i think we pulled out one a day for the last two weeks right there yeah the guy's pretty he said the same thing he's from out of town so yeah we'll go get him thank you [Music] good morning looks like you found some sand i did i left florida for this yeah you have a lot of people that watch our channel that talk about florida's hands yeah this this sand is no joke [Music] all right so you you're with that vehicle you're gonna be okay though i think we're okay we have four-wheel drive yeah you're gonna be okay all right you might as well jump in here because we're got about a half a half mile before this car will get out okay on its own [Music] i didn't want to cross the road that should be a policy [Music] this sand trap down here on babylon mill is uh it's been particularly bad this year and we're getting more and more people taking rental cars down there that just aren't equipped to travel through it so we're kind of kind of getting a higher volume from two directions but that's uh that's what we do if you'd like to keep renting cars and driving down the babylon mill we'll be here to pull you out
