You took your Prius WHERE?!!

I need to stock some rocks so we got a call this morning from the Washington County Sheriff's Office that we've got a Prius that's trapped up on the Smithsonian Butte Road and we're just headed up there to see if we can get them out they gave us some GPS coordinates which I believe are get so we should be able to drive straight to them we've got ed this morning [Music] [Music] all right we need some dunnage but we're gonna stock some rocks and hopefully get her little ways I'm gonna be a wreck time and get down here [Music] okay so what we're gonna do here he's bringing some planks to get up some of these little ledges we're gonna stock a few rocks and see if we can just make some progress with it it's gonna be slow going but we're gonna try to get this out of here without causing any more damage to it and that means packing rocks that's all about all there is to it let me see here I'm probably okay I think that'll do it [Music] [Music] [Applause] Edie this is what I'm gonna need you to do I'm gonna need you to stand here and tell me this way or this way I want to put this tire right there [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's a lot of this on that road I'm thinking about coming up right here and staying high then I need to fill that hole well we could come in with some planks so I'm not going to drag it over any of this at this point we're gonna try to well yeah we'll let it pick its own we'll let it pick its own way to avoid further damage and I think that's right around here so hopefully this will work [Music] [Music] it is looking good isn't it we're gonna have to change the tactic here or at least change the route but I think we're gonna get it [Applause] [Music] all right looking pretty good over here so as soon as I pull off this big rock I'm going to try to slide it out of the way [Music] yes we definitely need to fill it we're on our rocker sir all right okay where are we going next dead boy we may have just met the point where we need I think we've met the point where we need the planks right I'm thinking right and break something branches [Music] hey pup [Music] right there yeah yep it's gonna take me I'll have to do some maneuvering to get straight lined up but then where do I go I can go right across put a wheel right on here yeah and then cut left okay we get to right here how's it looking at okay I'm gonna need to carry a little bit of speed I've got the power at its the clearance I'm worried about yeah [Music] [Music] [Music] and stock some rocks all right that one's good [Music] [Music] [Music] it's a it's yeah it's uh just just unloaded this front wheel yeah [Music] so through my belt on this morning [Music] right there no oh so close [Music] [Music] okay I'm back up just a little bit and then I'll put a rock in there alright [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] did I mess those rocks up okay I'm just not on it anymore all right [Music] the rock still okay I see what's up yeah I just get here we're kind of beating our heads against the wall a little bit here I can hear em coming this will be our final attempt get up this [Music] [Music] it's not even a riddle just to get her to hear well if you want to go backwards we could put the wood there and then you just drive up the wood okay feels like you're going backwards this sides perfect gentleman bridge [Music] [Music] baby you're pretty well lined up there [Music] does it just not have power Wow nice perfect [Music] so follow him right down into her okay all right lady load up load up come on what are you snacking write it out mmm so yeah we've had a lot of people ask how long the jobs take and they want us to kind of give him an idea that was three hours from the time I got called till about right now so they were in there quite a ways and it wasn't easy driving out but we got it and we were able to do it without sustaining any more damage that was the car was pretty disassembled by the time I got there the whole front bumper and a lot of the plastic shields underneath were ripped or missing or broken so so what happened there was the customer had pulled off from this road the Smithsonian Butte Road she pulled off a little ways and went camping and I think I was three nights ago and then when she got up she was confused at which way to go and thought she was turning on this main road and she was just turning on another road that was just off the road which happened to be the Grafton Mesa Road and so she followed it down to where she couldn't get out so it took it took some driving and Rock stacking and some planks in some spots to get that out of there so it was a pretty she got down there pretty far I was impressed with that you did a good job got her out she rolled a lot of rocks down the mountain dragging them [Music]
