50 Ways To Make a Save in Rocket League

[Music] this one's pretty simple just a normal double jump it's mainly used by bronze silver and gold and if you're still using this at a rank above that it's probably time to stop this one's a little more advanced mainly used by platinum above so if you do this congratulations you're using a high rank mechanic this one is used by all of the ranks but honestly you want to keep it to a minimum it's usually better to save your flip to get more power out of your saves [Music] most of you should be very familiar with this one you know sometimes you go for a fast aerial but your controller says otherwise and you do a backflip instead and that's a feels bad safe [Music] now sometimes you accidentally backflip but are able to recover from it and still make the safe in which case you save yourself from complete embarrassment so good job i guess [Music] very simple but very effective it's used by mostly higher ranks and allows you to get very powerful saves and clear the ball to the other side this one's not as simple and less effective but it allows you to stay in the net while still clearing the ball and it looks kinda cool this one is not simple and not effective at all there's zero purpose in doing this sometimes a really good clear can actually be a great pass for your teammate now whether they scored or not that's another story this one's pretty risky you could end up scoring on your own net but if you're good enough this is very effective because it allows you to keep possession of the ball instead of hitting it away back to your opponent [Music] same concept as the last one but now with the 360 spin why because why not you might have seen this in one of wayne pilken's recent videos but it's actually pretty useful for saves too you can fake out the opponent as if you're going for a clear but still keep possession of course since we all know platinums are the best players mechanically this should be pretty easy for most of you and be completely second nature look this right here is why it's important to have good recovery i wouldn't have been able to make this save if i didn't have good recovery after the bump saving a shot like this will have your hands completely drenched in sweat like literally dripping but it is very very difficult so only the elite have saved a shot like this this is very very advanced so try this at your own risk because it is basically impossible once again very very advanced practically the same as the last one but the only difference is that plats usually have a cooler car design [Music] believe it or not this one's pretty simple higher ranks typically use simpler mechanics so anyone can actually do this [Music] the clock is ticking the opponent just shot it right into your net luckily you were able to get back in time make the save and end up losing in overtime anyways [Music] sometimes this is the only option you have to save the shot when it goes straight to the edge of the goal you have to pinch the ball to the side of the net in order to stop it from going in this one is very hard and very risky so it's usually a last resort [Music] this is the more advanced version where you get such a strong pinch that it goes flying into the other net and you get a save and a goal at the same time [Music] popularized by the goat squishy muffins this one can be pretty useful when you have no boost but it is very hard so it should really only be used by diamonds or higher [Music] this is the opposite of a squishy save where you jump to the inside roof of the goal and come out for a safe not the most useful but you know it looks pretty sick sometimes if you go for the reverse squishy save you'll find yourself with no boost needing to save another shot so you go for a normal squishy save and that's what makes this the reverse reverse squishy safe you actually don't have to do anything for this one because the ball is just going to hit the crossbar and bounce back so yeah you're good this one's pretty simple this one is very advanced and requires some pretty tricky timing to get right but sometimes if the ball is too far to reach you can do a pre-flip to reach where the ball is going and if you do it right you'll save it once again this one is pretty advanced but sometimes you're just in a bad spot and a pre-jump is the only way to save it so you have to jump before your opponent shoots it and try to guess where they're gonna shoot it this one is very situational and should really only be used by champ and above mainly used by bronze silver gold plat diamond champ and grand champ sometimes it takes three tries before you can actually touch the ball all you have to do for this one is spin just lots and lots of spinning [Music] one of the coolest yet most unnecessary ways to save a shot only those who refuse to use straws can make this kind of safety wait hold on wouldn't this be a block since it's basketball this one's for all the plumbers out there that play rocket league i don't know how many of you guys are out there but this one's for you i was gonna play let it go from frozen but i forgot it's copyrighted so here's the next best thing let it go let it go i can't hold it back anymore not many people use this one but it can be super effective to hide in the net in a place where the opponent doesn't see you and this can bait them into taking an early shot which leaves you with an easy save [Music] this more advanced version is less common but you can come off the side wall of the goal to hide and make the safe [Music] very very high pressure only the most clutch players can pull this one off so in other words james harden could never do this this is actually impulse who got this clip i'm not good enough to do this yeah there's really no use in doing this you won't even have enough boost to do this in a real game it just looks really cool [Music] completely useless way to make a save but let's just look at how beautiful this is yeah so all but it's extremely rare to ever be in a situation where you would actually need to do this sometimes it's just the last resort almost like a hail mary it probably won't work but sometimes it just might so i spent a total of 45 minutes trying to get a clip of this but it's just too hard for me to do so here's a clip of somebody else doing it and last but not least the save that every single one
