did you know that you can remove the stolen tag from all your stolen items so they won't be confiscated by law enforcement if you are caught by them for any reason or did you know the best weapon that you should give to your companions due to an incredibly powerful feature that is never really explained to you in this video of advanced Starfield tips I shall reveal the answers to these questions to you and so much more first up expanding on the beginner guide that I put out last week let's start off with a few more moneymaking tips this first tip is super straightforward and ridiculously lucrative you want to pick up every single bit of ammo that you can and make sure you make a note of all your favorite weapons and their ammo types you're doing this for two reasons firstly all ammo is weightless so even if you have thousands of every type of ammo it will take zero inventory space and secondly and far more importantly now now that you know which ammo you don't care about you can go to vendors and you can sell it for tens of thousands of credits this is a super easy and passive way to get rich quick as you'll be doing this naturally throughout your playthrough anyway and of course as you are going to be selling such huge quantities of ammo just rest up for 2 days if the vendor runs out of money exactly like you do with any other selling tactics next up talking of money Commerce is one of the first skills that you want to Max ASAP and to do this contradicts one of my tips from my previous beginner guide to clarify I still stand by that tip when I said to not pick up junk because it really is worthless that is definitely true in most situations however there is one exception and that is very early in the game when you're talking about wanting to max out Commerce as quickly as you can as you can see from the skill sheet here when it's maxed out it will increase the sell value of your items and reduce the Buy price of items bu a lot this is a significant difference especially when we're talking about high ticket items like expensive guns or even spaceships so what I'm trying to say is grab all the crap that you can early game and sell it all to max out each rank of Commerce ASAP and did you know there's another very powerful tip that will make leveling Commerce even quicker and even more efficient the even more important tip to level up Commerce quickly is that to reach each rank you need to sell x amount of unique items however when you reach the next level the items that you have sold reset so actually you can sell the same unique item for all four levels of Commerce so to clarify that even further you don't need 25 unique items for rank one and then a different 75 unique items for rank two you could actually use the same 25 unique items from rank one again and then just a further 50 for rank two so save copies of your junk in your ship and you can use these to very quickly max out Commerce tip number three is the quick and easy method to remove that pesky stolen tag from all your stolen goods after all it's Finders Keepers right it's yours now it's only fair that that be reflected in the item itself and to do this all you need to do is head to any trade Authority and sell anything with the red stolen tag on it now now swap back over to the Merchant's inventory go to the buyback option and buy it back for the exact same price and hey Presto without needing to spend a single credit that item is now yours again and is no longer classed as stolen so the next time you are detained by any goody two shoes law enforcers you now get to keep all your stuff just be warned Contraband does not count that will land you in jail and you definitely want to sell that ASAP the fourth and final tip directly related to money making for this video is around scanning planets partway into the main story you will unlock the ability to sell information on the planets that you have scanned now most normal planets will require you to run around scanning all the FAA and the Flora finding anomalies and resources and this can take a while on some of the larger planets however most solar systems have one or two gas giants and as you can't land on these planets you literally just need to fly up next to them give them a quick scan and job done you now have all the scan data you need you will receive experience just for traveling there and scanning and you'll receive a lovely reward when you go and sell the data slate as far as I'm aware you can go and sell these data slates to any Merchant however you can sell them to Vladimir of constellation at a higher price so you want to hold off selling them until you unlock the ability to sell to him you'll know when you're at this point in the story because you will need to visit a space station called the eye and later later on he will move to the lodge and doing this is a very quick and completely free way of getting loads of free experience and credits for you tip number five is a big one and probably the most important in this video and this is to make sure that you do faction quest lines even if you do want to skip some of the tasks in the game I completely understand this the missions tab is completely procedurally generated so there is an infinite amount of them and there are hundreds upon hundreds of activities and quests to do as well but please make sure you do the faction quest lines some of them span huge portions of the game and they become quite tough towards the end so you may not be able to Blitz through the whole quest line at once but they easily have the best rewards the most experienc point gain the most money out of anything in the game and even more importantly some of them offer some unique rewards such as perks that you can literally not unlock in any other way for instance while trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible here you see me wrapping up a quest involving the UC Cy and the Crimson Fleet and as you can see the reward I just got here is a quarter of a million credits which is just insane just this one Quest pretty much allows you to buy the biggest and baddest ship in the whole game and another faction quest line affords you an even better reward than this yes even better than a quarter of a million credits if you do the ruen faction quest line you unlock this insanely cool manipulation perk which not only unlocks brand new persuasion options that you see here that effectively just guarantee your success but it will also allow you to mind control enemies in combat and force them to fight for you and if you want to know where to start the rugen faction quest line you should stumble into an activity just as you're walking around new Atlantis that will ask you to interact with a job terminal and respond to a job advertisement long story short do the faction quest lines as soon as you feel you're powerful enough to do so you will not regret it they are all amazing as I just mentioned about an unlockable skill this leads us per L on to the next few tips all being about skills so next up before you even start the game when you're at character creation there are a couple of skills that I advise you focus on during your character creation because they are used so frequently throughout the entire game two of them I have already talked about quite a lot weightlifting was mentioned in the beginner tips video and of course Commerce here so both of them are fantastic the other two that I would strongly advise are both both security and persuasion being able to persuade people and being able to open locks are two very key aspects of this game if you want to save your money and complete quests in really fun and inventive ways with that in mind as you can see from their starting skills the two that I strongly recommend are the industrialist and the Diplomat the industrialists specifically I love how fitting the flavor text is there was once a time when all you wanted to be was a Titan of Industry maybe a ship designer or a mega Corp exec thankfully that skill set never goes out of style in the settled systems and it is not wrong this skill set will see you through the whole game and as we are already talking about character creation tip number seven is to pick three traits if you're coming into this blind and you're not sure how beneficial some of these traits sound I can tell you now that almost every single one is insane insanely beneficial all of them sound like they have some kind of negative but trust me the pros massively outweigh the cons for instance the dream home is the absolute best house you can get in the game it is even better than the luxury apartment you get for completing the UC quest line and it sounds Hefty 125,000 credit mortgage oh my God but it's actually only 500 credits a week and if you follow my tips you can have this paid off within your first few days of playtime this obviously isn't going to benefit your actual gameplay but the house is so gorgeous that I strongly advise this one also extrovert is absolutely key the only reason in my first playthrough I didn't choose either extrovert or introvert is because I didn't know how often I would be traveling with a companion and I can confirm to you if you want to you will do the entire game with a companion there are only very very small stealth sections where you may want to dismiss your companion but 99.9% of the time having extrovert is a really really good choice and something it doesn't tell you here extrovert is a great trait if you want more conversation options apart from this a few more standouts for me is to pick one of the faction Allegiance traits such as the United Colonies native or the Freestar Collective settler the only only negative is that your crime Bounty towards other factions is greatly increased but you are rarely ever going to be getting a crime Bounty it's very easy to get away with everything trust me and even if you do get a crime Bounty just pay it off you're going to be rich and finally my personal favorite and one that my wife hates me for is the Serpent's Embrace I am one of them people you see in MMOs that bounces around everywhere and it can get very annoying I fully own up to to that and when I screenshotted this trait to my wife she was like oh God they have given you an actual in-game reason to never stop jumping around like a [ __ ] and this was just a dream come true for me seeing this trait 10 out of 10 game 10 out of 10 the last skill related tip is to do as many space fights as possible the reason you want to do this is to increase your piloting skill there are two primary reasons you want to increase piloting as much and as soon as possible firstly as soon as you unlock level one you unlock the ability to use your thrusters thrusters are very different to boosting using your Thruster will allow you to fly at pretty much full speed in any direction you like even midf fight so this will unlock the ability to strafe and even fly in Reverse at full speed this is fantastic to dodge enemy missiles or even quickly do a 180 and back off from an enemy to continue attacking them even if they're directly behind you which can be fantastic in a pinch and the second and perhaps even more important reason that you'll probably already know if you watched my best ship in the game video is that piloting is what you need to be able to fly bigger and better ships once your piloting is maxed out this is when you can finally fly class c ships such as the abyss tracker or my personal favorite the stronghold so if you're planning on doing some ship combat or just want a massive ship with huge cargo capacity piloting is another skill you definitely want to focus on tip number nine was a very weird one to record especially because of what Sarah decides to do and say as she gets out of bed you have aack I think I might have P something and hopefully this doesn't get me demonetized but yes if you sleep with your lover you will get a 15% experience boost for the the next 24 minutes now this doesn't seem like a long time especially because playthroughs of Starfield could go 100 plus hours but think about it like this if you have a particularly long Quest that you've been working on and you're about to turn in what you believe to be the final part of the quest just rest up in any bed get this experience buff then go and hand the quest in and you will gain so many extra levels and on top of this even if you haven't taken a partner in the game every time you go and sleep in a bed you will rise with a 24-minute buff giving you a 10% experience gain it's just increased to 15% if you do have a partner and just so it doesn't get confusing for you there isn't a special option you need to click on if you have opted to take someone as your romantic partner this will happen automatically as we move into tip number 10 if you're enjoying the Starfield content I would just like to implore you to like the video and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already there are plenty more guides to come for Starfield and other upcoming titles and supporting the channel in this way is completely free and it helps me out so much more than I can put into words and thank you for doing so so tip number 10 is another one that's a bit of a contradiction on one of the tips from my previous beginner guide video as this is a Bethesda game after all there are so many wonderfully unique and interesting encounters that you can stumble upon throughout your playthrough so instead of fast traveling absolutely everywhere like I advised before fast travel to your ship then undock and launch into space manually to see if you encounter anything weird and wonderful this way you'll immerse yourself more in the world and experience more of what this amazing game has to offer and then if you want to save yourself some time now you can fast travel to the planet that you are planning on visiting but again just fast travel to the solar system and land manually to give you even more opportunities to bump into some of the amazing characters that fill this galaxy the next tip is that your your companions have infinite ammo so with that in mind you want to give them something incredibly powerful with a really high fire rate that chews through ridiculous amounts of ammo because they will use it very efficiently and of course as I just said they won't run out of ammo so therefore giving Sarah the Revenant here is one of the best choices in the game and before I carry on with the rest of the tip because I know people are going to be asking the Revenant can be found during the eye of the storm mission in the Crimson Fleet quest line so get yourself all buddied up with the Crimson Fleet and then go and start doing that quest line and this gun in particular is technically missable but it's laying on a table as bright as day right next to one of the quest objectives so it's very very hard to miss but I will be doing a full video and lots of really juicy really missable loot so I'll revisit this in depth along with many others in a future video now back to the tip in question as you can see here I am pretty much staying away from the action and letting Sarah handle the fight and against some very powerful level 30 starborn she is melting them in fact she takes one out completely by herself off screen without me even knowing they are there giving your companions a big ass gun like this is such a great way of effectively doubling your combat power tip 12 is super simple buy Digi picks whenever and where wherever you can because they can be so limited and it is infuriating if you're right near the end of a really big dungeon and I use that term generically I'm sure you all know what I mean be it a space station or a cave or an outpost or whatever it may be and you come right to the end and you find a really juicy looking locked chest with a Master Lock and you've already used your last Digi pick it's an absolute nightmare so always stock up on way too many have like 20 or 30 of them at a time and you can combine this very easily every time you're going to sell your last big loot haul go and find a trade Authority they always have digipics and every time you need to rest to replenish their credits buy their Digi stock as well also yes in the last video I did keep calling them Digi packs look the longer you watch this channel the more you'll realize I have mouth word sound noise problems in my Elder ring contest the amount of memes on this channel now because I kept calling ever jails ever gals I kept calling great bows great Bros so look they're Digi PS they're Digi packs that you know what I mean okay let's let's move on next up did you know that you can hide your space suit and your helmet in areas where you don't need them so you don't have to keep taking them off just so you can carry on looking Suave literally just go into your inventory and the options are right right here I had no idea for the longest time and initially I started this tip by saying it's not going to impact your gameplay but it's a cool little feature but you know what it does impact your gameplay there are certain quests where people will comment on your attire and there will be different dialogue options depending on what you're wearing and whether you're walking around in your big clunky space suit so hiding your helmet in areas where you don't need it and hiding your suit when you're in outposts and cities is a fantastic option that you basically just want turned on at all times it is genuinely going to change your game which is a really surprising thing to say usually this is purely cosmetic but Starfield is so detailed and so in depth that this blew my mind and it's actually really valuable information HIP number 14 isn't the most exciting but I thought I should say it in case anyone doesn't know yet because I know it took me way too long to figure out you've got your Boost pack on you're on a planet and you're trying to boost around and nothing is happening I was looking through the controls the settings I was like why is my Boost pack not working so just for the benefit of anyone else that may be in the same boat make sure you actually put one point into boost pack or it's not going to do anything if you put all four points in there are some really cool bonuses but honestly there are far more important perks in the game just grab level one so you can actually use the Boost pack and you will find traversing certain are areas so much easier the last two tips are actually all about the cutter the very first weapon and your mining tool firstly once you've done the first couple of constellation missions you will be able to revisit the first planet you were on and go back to the Argus mining camp and as you enter into this building you'll be able to go and grab hel's cutter this is just a straight upgrade to the regular cutter now now it doesn't do any more damage it doesn't weigh any less nothing like that but it will deal bonus damage to robots and if you saw the beginner tips you know how powerful the cutter can be when fully charged and now you've got a cutter that is specifically designed to melt robots so always having this as a backup because it has unlimited ammo is a really great tool and as we're already talking about the cutter let's go straight into tip number 16 and that is that you can use it with your scanner out and this is beneficial for two different reasons most obviously you're going to be walking around with your cutter out in scanner mode because you're Mining and collecting research on the local flora and fora however it means you've got a really quick and easy and surprisingly powerful tool at your fingertips without fumbling around and trying to get out of scanner mode and then find the weapon you want you can just bring out the cutter by holding down the right Mouse and just go to town on whatever's attacking you but more importantly than this because this tool is instantly available to you in scan mode that means you no longer need to favorite your cutter and that freeze up your weapon wheel so you can put a different weapon there instead or just have one less weapon to worry about so it's not getting too cluttered my friends that is it for my 16 Advanced tips for Starfield please let me know what other guides you would like me to make which areas you'd like to know more about if you're struggling anywhere and more importantly I hope this video was both educational and enjoyable and and as always my friends all that's left for me to say is thank you so much for watching I hope you have an amazing day and I'll see you in the next one bye-bye
