Words: Heaven's Tool To Fill And Subdue The Earth | Chad Gonzales

[Music] studying been really felt led to spend more studying and look at our authority as a believer uh you know anytime you get to the point where you think you know it that's your sign you're an idiot you don't you don't know it there's more there and so you need to obey that tug pull on the inside you know when you feel like maybe i need to look at this scripture a little bit more maybe i'll let you look at this topic a little more that's the holy ghost on the inside of you trying to be your teacher and if you want to get smart then you need to listen to your teacher and the holy spirit he is the greatest teacher of all the bible says jesus said he's the revealer of truth and you'll find he's always wanting to reveal truth if you will allow him to reveal to you and so i just saw some things i had never seen before last week and i got so so excited i almost ran around the house and but couldn't do that because the cable guy was there so praise the lord genesis chapter 1 and if you look at verse 1 it says in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth the earth was without form and void darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters and god said let there be light and there was light how did light show up because god said something right and uh verse 5 it says god called the light day in the darkness he called night the evening and morning were the first day then god said let there be a dividing in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters and god made the divide under the firmament from the waters and verse eight it said god called this firmament heaven so the evening and morning were the second day and then verse nine it says god said let the waters under the heavens be gathered together in one place and let the dry land appear and it was so god called the dry land earth and the gathering together the water he called the seas and god said it was good and so the point of this we could go and read all of chapter one but every time god's creating something how is he creating it by his word what so you could say it like this his tool for creation was what his words so just like you and i we've got some tools you know uh lacy gets mad i've got i've got lots of tools in our garage i got lots of lots of power tools and you know every once in a while i walk out there just to kind of pull a tim taylor and cut something right or just feel like a man you know just something about a rumble just you know your chainsaw or something you got these tools and the thing about these tools is when you know how to work those tools they're walk they're going to work for you right they'll accomplish some things that you couldn't accomplish on your own you know the other day there's there's these shrubs and i was pulling these shrubs out and and i got the shrubs cut off but i couldn't get the roots and so i was digging around my shuffle and i'm sitting there and hacking it with my axe and i got my chainsaw and i couldn't i couldn't do it with those tools so i went and rented a little mini excavator and man oh man that thing was just it was fun number one just something about that power you know but i mean when i operated that tool and used that tool for a specific purpose it got done what i was trying to get done without that got it done a whole lot better a whole lot faster that i i had to learn how to use that tool for that project that purpose and you'll find that god his tool for creating was what his words now we understand that with god but when you start getting into this coming down to you that's where some of us go i don't know about that but so far so good we see that god's creating with his words right all right so god's example and then when you get down to verse 26 verse chapter 1 verse 26 it says god said let's make man in our image according to our likeness so who's the one that god said or who's the one that said let's make them in our image in our likeness god said that there wasn't kenneth copeland kenneth hagin joyce meyer cruffa dollar whoever your favorite little it wasn't you know uh wasn't uh billy graham it wasn't no no man it was god this was god's plan god's decision god's will god said let's make man in our image and in our likeness let's let's make them to be like us right so not that we could replace god by any means we ain't that smart we couldn't replace god but god was putting man on his level and there's a reason because god wanted us to be able to represent him to be able to act like him and get results like him but you can't do that unless you have the same equipment and the same tool same tools and so he goes let them have dominion over the fish of the sea the birds of the air over the cattle over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth in other words god said everything that i've created in this earth i'm giving man dominion over it right now not to get too ahead of ourselves but how do these things get created by words so for all the smart people in the house or those that are watching in your house if these things were created by words then how do you think that these things were to be maintained by words look hold our place right there stay right there but flip over to hebrews chapter 11. we're going to spend more time in hebrews next week but hebrews chapter 11 over in the new testament just flip over there new testament if you don't know where it's at and you've got a neighbor just act like you know where it's at flip over there with confidence just hold it like this nobody will know the difference hebrews chapter 11 verse 3 it says by faith we understand that the worlds were framed or created by the word of god so that underline this phrase so that the things which were seen the things that are saying they were made of things that are not seen the things that you can see were made of things that you can't see notice he says things what you can see here was made of stuff things that you cannot see we know that god and notice it says by faith see god doesn't expect us to do anything that he doesn't do and god isn't going to expect you to do something that he does without having the same tool without having the same equipment it says by faith god he spoke things into existence he created the things that you can see with something with a thing that you cannot see and so we see this happening here in genesis chapter 1 and then in verse 26 and 27 god creates man we see this and he gives man this commission and i've been spending a lot of time thinking about this this command and i've been getting really excited about it because i know there's some things here god's wanting us to get wanting me to get personally in us to get as a church verse 27 he said god created man in his own image in the image of god he created him male and female he created them and then god blessed them he empowered them and god said to them be fruitful and multiply fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea the birds of the air over every living thing that moves on the earth so he repeats himself a second time he said let them have dominion but listen to the commission that he gives them and you got to remember god never commissions you to do something he never gives you a mission without the provision to do it god's never going to call you to do something without giving you the tools the equipment and the resources to fulfill it notice what he says he says to adam and eve he said i want you to be fruitful multiply fill the earth and subdue it now most people look at that and say oh and that's sweet god told them y'all just love each other and have lots of babies and that's that's where most christians just leave it y'all go have lots of babies just love each other have lots of babies well you see that you know as far as be fruitful and multiply so you you see kind of you can put it in two categories here this first category be fruitful multiply yep love each other have some babies let's get more people out here just look just like us you know but i want you to look at this this last part and this is where i've been kind of just chewing on he said i want you to fill the earth and subdue it and we we just briefly mentioned this to you last week just to give you something to think about but this word subdue it means to bring under submission it means to to tread on to bring under the stand over and tread on and my favorite definition of this and this is the one that came uh the mainland came from the hebrew it says to make subservient in other words you make it serve you in other words you can say it like this that you are the master and you are to make it your slave and this is what god was telling adam and eve he said i want you to go out there yeah have babies we need more people out there it's going to start with with you you too but he said i want you to feel the earth and i want you to subdue it now you need to understand that you know what we read in genesis chapter 1 this wasn't the original creation of the earth this was a re-creation you understand that if you don't just go back in and just a little bit of reading but genesis chapter 1 and 2 and 2 and 3. it's what a lot of bible scholars call the gap theory and basically you could you could put in there all those all those times of which uh satan was was ruling things as lucifer he was the god of the earth and and then that's when he rebelled against god was cast out and uh and then god had to do a recreation and it's all there in chapter one it was a recreation and so when god's creating things he makes the garden of eden okay it makes the garden of eden and it's like heaven and the garden of eden that was adam and eve's example in which to go out into the earth and make the rest of the earth make it look like that he said i want you to go into the earth fill it and i want you to subdue it i want you to bring it under your subjection bring it under your dominion this dominion that i'm giving you i want you to go out there and make it subservient to you notice he said all the earth every living thing or you could say everything on the earth that has life in it now it's interesting i was thinking about this other day and i was texting some of my friends some of the friends that don't think i'm nuts and i you know you got to have a few crazy friends that are crazy like you i've got i've got some friends some confidants some acquaintances i know who i can talk about certain things without them calling and putting me you know in a mental institution i've got i've got just i've got like three three guys three guys that i talk to you about certain things the things that are just kind of way out there a little bit but i was talking to one of my my friends last week i was thinking about this and i was like you know even even even our society it doesn't matter if you're a christian or or not it doesn't matter what your religion whatever what's your beliefs humanity basically has this understanding that you know in a in a in a business setting or a corporate setting whatever in a group that there's authority there over people not as far as a master and slave we know that ain't right but i'm talking about you know when you go to work there's a hierarchy right and there's people with authority not that they're better than you but there's people with authority over you and people with authority over them so we understand there's authority in some sense over people and we also understand that we have authority over animals per se because i mean how many of you have a dog and you've trained them to go outside and and and do their business outside well you wouldn't do that if you didn't think you had authority over them right you know when your dog starts yapping i mean lacey's got this little fufu dog and man i just want to send it back to paris i mean like it just it's too fufu for me and it costs too much too too fufu and so i think when you pay that much money for a dog i mean you know what i'll have a college education or something like that shouldn't be acting like a normal dog it's a yappy little dog and and there's many times i'm even jake i mean it's jake's it was jake's dog it's lacey's dog but she got it for jake but i mean even even jake i mean there's many times i mean she gets real yapping he'll just stop he'll get on to her why because we just we got this understand we got authority over animals i mean you go you go to the zoo you go to a circus you see people taming these animals doing even the worst of the worst sinners have an understanding that we are over animals we have authority over animals but but even amongst the even amongst christians even in the church that's pretty much where we think our authority stops people and animals but how many of you understand there's a whole lot of other things in this earth that have life in it outside of people and animals do you realize and and this is where i've kind of caught some flack here over the last few months but do you realize that even a virus has life in it anything that that has some has some life in it when you get down to a a very very small scale of it there's some light there's things moving the smallest particles on the earth that scientists have been able to found fine you know used to we we used to think that the atom was the smallest particle right anybody ever remember that in science class or you just raise your hand make people think you're smart you used to think adam was small then they broke it down and then began to find that they were smaller things and now they think that they found the smallest of the smallest of the smallest and they referred to it as a cork they refer to it as a quark and basically it is a get this it is a sound wave every living thing everything in this in this earth that has life whether when you get down to a cellular level when you when you break this thing down whether it's a tree whether it's a table made of wood you realize that even your table that's made out of wood your chair is made out of wood you realize when you break it down you get down to the molecular level there there's still energy in there there's energy in there why it's made of wood it's made of something that that's come from this earth trees have life in it plants have life in it grass has life in it little bugs have life in it virus bacteria these things have life in it and god said i give you dominion over all the earth everything that was created everything that has life in it he said i've given you dominion over it i've given you dominion over it friends you've got a whole lot more authority in christ than just over people and just over animals he told adam he said i want you to go out there fill the earth or you could say make it look like the garden and i want you to subdue it i want you to bring it under your subjection so there must have been some things out there that really weren't the way that they needed to be and you'll see some of this over in the new testament too jesus relaying a lot of these things but up to this point you see god creating how with words and he makes man in his likeness and in his image and he said let's give them dominion over everything on the earth everything that has life in it everything that creeps on the earth and he said i want you to go out i want you to feel it i want you to subdue it i want you to bring it under your subjection and then if you get down here uh to uh chapter 2 and verse 15 you see now a little bit of the backstory of when god was creating man genesis chapter 1 gives you just a kind of a synopsis genesis chapter 2 gives you more detail and in verse 15 it says the lord god took man put him in the garden of eden and notice this phrase it says he put him in the garden to tend it and to keep it he put him there to do what detend it and he put him there to keep it he put him there to keep it now this is interesting because this word tend here to ten it means to cultivate it means to cultivate he said this area here this land here that i've given you i want you to cultivate it now up to this point i don't think that adam had a tractor he had a hole had a weed eater had a shovel hammer chainsaw hedge clippers i don't see here where he has any tools of course we we know just common sense i mean you know lawnmower wasn't invented until like the early 1900s late 1800s early 1900s he didn't have the tools that we would have to to tend and cultivate an area but friend he had one tool and it was the same tool in which god created everything it was the same tool in which god intended for it to be maintained it was the same tool in which god intended for him to use to keep and to cultivate and to feel and subdue and it was his it was his words it was his words why because god had given adam authority over all the earth and yet how was he to exert that authority and dominion not with his hands but with his but with his words now get this now look look this gets better with his words well in chapter three we see that satan shows up and he's talking to eve and trying to tempt eve and verse 6 it says the woman saw the tree was good for food pleasant to her eyes she gave it to adam who was standing right beside her and he ate it you see adam could have and should have exerted his authority over satan over the snake and he didn't instead he used his hands and he took a hold of what eve had in her hands and he ate it and just for sake of time you could boil it down to this god intended us to rule the earth he intended adam to rule the earth with his words but what happened was adam lost the garden because he didn't speak up or you could say it like this adam lost the garden of eden because he didn't use the tool of heaven the tool that god gave adam to exert victory and have dominion adam didn't use it and as a result he lost the garden he lost the garden and then if you get down here in the the bottom portion of chapter 3 verse 17 it says to adam he said because you've heeded the voice of your wife and and don't don't use that in an argument husbands and wife he said because you hear the voice of your wife and you ate from the tree of which i command you you shall not eat it notice this curse is the ground for your sake and notice this phrase in toil and toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life both thorns thistles it will bring forth uh for you you shall eat the herb of the field and in the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return the ground for out of it you were taken for dust you are and dust you shall return now all of a sudden he's lost his voice he lost his tool he lost his authority did he not because adam died spiritually there he was separated from god because he was separated from god spiritually he did he didn't have the authority he didn't have the dominion over the earth that god gave him in other words you could say it like this that adam lost his voice of authority now adam can't use his his mouth now he has to use his hands he can't use his mouth he's got to use his hands and he lost the garden because he didn't use his words now i want you to see how this begins to build because it's abs for me it was absolutely fascinating so you see this with adam and then i want you to turn over to uh exodus and we're going to look at moses here for a few moments now this is something i i did not know i'm going to show you a couple of things and i was sitting there doing some studies i i the holy spirit was speaking to me on the inside and i had to stop and say wait a minute i got to look that up i've never heard that before and that always fun because then you find out you're actually hearing you know exodus chapter seven now we're not going to read through all these but if you've read the story of moses and the israelites and the israelites deliverance from egypt you know that there were several plagues that took place you know against pharaoh and the egyptians and i want you to look at exodus chapter 7. exodus chapter 7 verse 1 it says the lord said to moses see i've made you as god the pharaoh it's an interesting thing to study we want today but he said made you as god the pharaoh and aaron your brother shall be your prophet you shall speak that all that i command you and aaron your brother will tell pharaoh to send the children of israel out of this land and then in verse 8 it says the lord spoke to moses and aaron saying when pharaoh speaks to you show a miracle for yourselves then you shall say to aaron take your rod and cast it before pharaoh and let it become a serpent and so they begin to do this and as you begin to go through and read all of these all of these plagues you'll find that all of these miracles are being done through the rod you'll read earlier that god he told moses he said i want you to take this rod it's by this rod that you will perform miracles now remember god's dealing with an unsaved man okay he's dealing with a guy who had grown up in the egyptian culture moses didn't grow up in church all right didn't grow up in church didn't have a bible didn't have it on dvd cd you know mp3 youtube he didn't have these things he didn't grow up he grew up in a very godless you know society so god's dealing with an unsaved man but you know he put something in his hands and he said it's through this thing that's in your hands you will perform the miracles and so if you go through and read every single miracle that moses performed it was with that rod wasn't it it was with that rod you can go and read it for yourself study it out yourself every single one he did was with the rod but then as they get into the the wilderness let's get over here as i get into the wilderness you see something changes here because noah i mean moses he got into some trouble did he not y'all remember when moses got into trouble i want you to turn over to numbers chapter 20. we're just kind of blazing through here but numbers chapter 20 moses and the israelites are out there in the wilderness and i mean the israelites they have seen miracle after miracle after miracle after miracle after miracle moses has performed all these miracles before their eyes and one of the purposes of this was god was using these things to elevate moses in the eyes of the people and as a result of that get them to trust god and every single miracle that had happened had always happened by moses and the rod all of the plagues happened by moses and the rod remember when they crossed the red sea and god said moses stretch out your your rod put your put your rod across the sea and you divide it how'd the red sea happen by moses using the rod and then you remember the very first time that that moses caused water to come out of the rock remember they were thirsty they're crying they're they're complaining and so he told moses go hit the rock and moses went over there with a rod and he hit the rock and the bible says that water came out of the rock i mean you're talking about millions and millions of people that are out there and they're animals they're cattle and enough water came out of the rock i mean it was an absolute miracle well we're at a point where the israelites are complaining again and they're thirsty and they're hangry you know the difference between hungry and angry right angry hungry you know you just want to eat angry you want to kill somebody they're thirsty they're angry and angry and so look at the instructions this is where i just my jaw dropped i i'd never seen this i'd heard some things about it never understood it this way number chapter 20 in verse 7 says the lord spoke to moses said take your rod you and your brother aaron gather the congregation together and speak to the rock before their eyes and it will yield its water thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock and give drink to the congregation and their animals and so moses took the rod from before the lord as he commanded them now right here so far moses is doing pretty good now i would encourage you to go go back and study this some for yourself but remember all the plagues moses and the rod the red sea moses and the rod uh the first water coming out of the rock moses and the rod all right but remember way back in the garden of eden the tool that god really wanted mankind to use was what his words why because that's the way god operates god created with words we know they're in hebrews that we read but we know by faith god used his words to to frame and to create the things that we we see with things that we cannot see he used words and so he's been working with moses an unsaved man righteousness on credit so to speak in a far less position with than you and i are in christ all this moses been doing by the rod but now god said i want you to speak to the rock he he's trying to take moses up another level here he's trying to get moses up to the up to the level that god operates on now i mean up to this point moses doing pretty good how many of you ever divided a c how many of you ever went out and kicked a rock and water came out how many of you ever done that so i mean he's doing a whole lot better than the church is today but god's trying to take him up to another level because notice what he said he said speak to the rock it will yield its water so moses took the rod from before the lord as he commanded him and moses and aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock verse 10 and he said to them here now you rebels must we bring water for you out of this rock and moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod and water came out abundantly and the congregation and their animals drank now god told moses to do what with the rock he told him to speak to it but moses went and did what he hid it twice now just as a little thinking point here isn't it interesting that even in his disobedience he still got a miracle why because moses understood something about his authority up to that point he had so much faith and what that rod represented the anointing had so much faith in that that even in his disobedience to god's instructions he still used the anointing that he had to get a result even in his disobedience he did it on purpose most christians can't even get something to happen on accident you know i mean if a miracle happens for most christians they're like i don't know how it happened i mean you know i guess god's sovereign i don't know how it happened even his disobedience he got a miracle now i don't know about you but you know if you grew up a church like i did i was a good little church boy until i was about you know 13 then i turned to bad chad for a few years but i had always been told that the reason that moses hit that rock the second time instead of speaking to it was because he was angry that's what i had always been told the reason moses hit that rock was because he was mad so he hit that rock twice out of anger because of the people that's what i had always been told but as i was sitting there i was doing some studying i was looking at our dominion and our authority and the holy spirit reminded me about the story about moses and that's always stuck out to me that even in his disobedience he still got a miracle and i was sitting there and reading that and that this thought just came to me that every miracle before this moses had always used his rod he trusted so much in that rod that god was trying to take him to another level i never thought about that and so i went through i started i read every single miracle that moses did every single one was happening through the rod none of them came by his mouth here's the first one that god's trying to get moses to do it by his mouth but notice what god says here you find out moses didn't hit the rock out of anger this is why he hit it with a rock twice verse 12 it says the lord spoke to moses and aaron and said because you did not believe me check this out guys because you did not believe me to hallow me in the eyes of the children of israel two things here one god was trying to raise up moses's stature in front of the people two he was trying to raise up his stature in the eyes of the people and god gave moses a command he's trying to take him up to another level in his dominion and authority and he's trying to get him to the point you're not using the rod anymore you're not using something of your hands now you start operating like me with your mouth notice god's face he said because you did not believe me moses did not hit that rock out of anger he hid it out of unbelief moses did not hit that rock twice yeah i'm sure he was mad at the people but god says the reason that he hid it was not out of anger because he didn't believe god or you could say it like this moses did not believe that his words carried the same anointing and power as that rod or you could say it like this moses did not believe that what he could not see had as more or at least at the very very amount the least amount of power that what he could see it was out of unbelief moses didn't speak and god goes on and says therefore because of this you will not bring this assembly of people into the land which i have given you now guys check this out let's put it all together so far adam lost the garden because he didn't use his moses lost the promised land because he did not use his he didn't hit the rock twice out of anger he hid it because he didn't believe that his words carried any power he was trying to trying to elevate him up to god's level i guess you say he's trying to elevate him up to god's level and he lost out on the promised land because he didn't believe god that his his his words carried authority but then this gets even more interesting because when moses when he when before he dies he passes on everything over to joshua now you got to remember joshua's been hanging out with moses the entire time we see over in exodus chapter 33 that when god or moses decides he's going to build this this place called the meeting puts his tent outside the land outside the people he's going to meet with god the bible says that joshua's going with him all the time joshua's been seeing this joshua's been growing he's been developing we see that joshua and caleb were the only ones that actually believe what god said about the promised land so joshua becomes the new leader and just for the sake of time we'll just mention it but but i want you to go look at it there's one major miracle that joshua does there's one that happens in the very beginning the jordan river crosses but it actually happened because the priest god said when the priests put their feet in the water the jordan river will divide but it really didn't have much to do with joshua but but the one major miracle or two major miracles we see with joshua outside of that the first thing that happened was jericho how many of you remember how jericho came those walls came tumbling down words it came through a shout remember it says that god he told them that you keep your mouth shut over all these days you're walking around keep your mouth shut and on that on that that last day he said i want you to open up your mouth and i want you to shout you're not going to make the walls tumble down with your hands you're going to make them tumble down with your words come on god was bringing it because you got to look at it like this the joshua generation was the believing generation the joshua generation was the ones who believed god with everything and all that he was they were the ones who took possession of what god had promised them the people before god had already created this had it for them he said it's already yours you just got to go get it but how were they going to get it with their words but they didn't believe in their words but that's the way that god set this thing up was for us to use our words but we want to use our hands adam lost the garden because he didn't use his words so then he was resulted to using his hands god starts moses off with using his hands but he's trying to get him up to his level and using his words but he didn't believe in his words so he lost that on the promised land so joshua and his generation this new breed of believers now god's brought them up to his level they're using their words and you know what they're taking hold of what god promised them with their words and then the second major miracle and it's probably one of the most astounding miracles that you see in the bible and joshua and and the israelites they're out there and they're taking possession of lamb and one thing happens another thing happens and then joshua he prays to god and then he looks up at the sun and he says sun stand still and you know what happened the sun stopped and the moon stopped it actually obeyed the voice of a man a sinner nonetheless someone that's not saved born again spirit-filled seated at the right hand of god redeemed by the blood of the lamb a sinner it heeded the voice of a sinner the son but how's that possible well it's very possible because god gave man dominion over everything that he created with his words so if god created it with words it must mean you can exert dominion over it with words because it understands words words are how every living thing on this planet was created because even science has proved it now that when you break it down to the smallest micro molecular level molecular level small thing it's a sound wave it's a sound wave so see friends there's a whole lot of things we've been praying about that we should be speaking to joshua said son stand still and it obeyed him come on you read about elijah and elijah and some of the things that they did you read about elijah and it says that he he commanded rain to come and rain to stop how's that work they must be able to hear the sun must be able to hear things must be but see joshua actually believed god he learned from moses's mistake moses not believing in his words cost him joshua made a decision that ain't going to cost me and the reason we see joshua take all the land everything that god promised him because he believed in his words he believed in his words and so very very quickly turn over to mark chapter 11 and we're going to finish off right here mark chapter 11. jesus has been talking with disciples he's been teaching them for a while and we know that he gave them commands he said i want you to go out preach the kingdom of god heal the sick cast out devils they'd been laying hands on people but i want you to see what jesus does here jesus is starting to teach them he's trying to take him up and we're going to spend a whole lot more time on this looking at jesus and some more specifics about our words but mark chapter 11 and verse 23. actually uh go to verse 12. we'll look at we'll get in there verse 12 it says the next day when they come out from bethany jesus was hungry and seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves he went to see if it perhaps would have something on it and when he came to it he found nothing but leaves for it was not the season for figs but the fact of the matter was the tree had had leaves on it so if it had leaves that meant it should have had figs should have had some fruit and jesus verse 14 check this out guys in response jesus said to it let no one eat fruit from you ever again that was all jesus said and the disciples heard it well if you go on down to verse 20 it says in the morning as they passed by they saw the fig tree dried up from its roots and peter remembering said to him rabbi look the victory which you curse it's withered away it's withered away now how is that possible jesus used his words and he took authority over a tree not a person not an animal a tree well how is that possible well because god made trees and how did he make trees by words every living thing everything on this earth that has life in it god gave that dominion an authority to man well adam lost it but even though adam lost it god in his mercy was still working with mankind through the old covenant trying to show them what's possible if you'll just hook up with me and that's why we didn't go start with jesus i wanted you to see some of these old testament folks people that weren't saved in a far we're in a far less position than you and i had a far less covenant than you and i and yet even with their words they were able to accomplish the supernatural able to accomplish the miraculous see the kingdom of heaven manifest on the earth because of their words and now jesus is trying to teach disciples jesus is trying to show us what's available to man or a woman that's filled and united with god their authority and their dominion and he he responds to them in verse 22 he said jesus answered and said to them have the god kind of faith have the faith of god well we saw in hebrews chapter 11 the very beginning it says by faith by faith by faith by faith god created the things that we see by things that we cannot see faith is the evidence of things expected hoped for it's the evidence of the things not scenes the substance of things hoped for is the evidence of the things not seen and by faith god did these things with his mouth with his words and he gave man dominion in the very beginning adam lost it but the but the second adam came to get your voice back adam lost his verse the first adam lost his voice the second adam came to get your speaker back and he tells the disciples hey you want to know how this happened have the god kind of faith the god kind of faith speaks and jesus goes on and says for assuredly i say to you whoever says to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believe that those things he says will be done he will have whatever he says well how could a mountain be moved by words because it was created by words he said he'll have whatever he says he'll have whatever he says he'll have whatever he says this is a good point too notice here that he mentions you're speaking three times he mentions you're believing once the emphasis is more so on your speaker than your believer because a lot of us don't have a hard too hard of a time seeing the promises of god understanding some things and believing that with our heart and taking a hold of it but when it comes to us understanding the authority that we have when it comes out of our mouth that's where some of us go [Music] and that's where some people who have heard some of these things over time that's where some people get into this thing of what we call confession and turn it into a job i believe i receive i believe i receive i believe i receive i believe i believe all the stripes of jesus i'm healed i believe by the stripes of jesus i mean i believe by the tribes of jesus i don't know why it's not working but i believe by the tribes of jesus we don't understand the power of our words because this is interesting and we'll save it for next week but but friends i'll just give you this one this is a good little trivia thing you go through and you look at you look at the life of jesus and the gospels you look at every command that he gave with his with his mouth in which he was dealing with somebody with a sickness and a disease you you will not find in the new king james version maybe maybe you know the amplified that's a little word here but in the king james new king james you will not find a command of jesus to a sickness or disease to a demon that that's more than nine words see when you understand your authority and dominion you don't have to speak along you just got to speak strong you got to speak strong think about the times that we pray for people it's like a mini-sermon when you're dealing with somebody it's like a mini sermon why is that well it's because a lot of times the person praying is trying to convince himself that what they're saying is true and you know and this has actually gotten me in trouble a lot of times at the hospital because there's been many times i've gone to the hospital someone was in the hospital and i said some things over them and about them and the sickness disease whatever i walked out and i didn't pray and they got mad at me why aren't you going to pray why would i pray i said why would i pray for god to do something that he gave me dominion over why would i ask god to do something for me that he told me to do something about so i can pray for you and tickle your emotions for five seconds or i can declare something over you and have a change for eternity so do you want to play religion or do you want to have heaven a lot of people want religion because it makes them feel good it's fleeting but do you want religion do you want results i mean that's what it comes down to there's a lot of stuff we're praying about you ought to be speaking to there's a lot of mountains in our life we're asking god to move when you need to be speaking to it and telling it to move yourself let me say that again there's a lot of mountains you're praying for god to move and god's waiting on you to move it with your mouth you can say it like this your mountain's never going to move until you move your own mouth that's a good tweet you're never going to see your mountain move until you move your mouth but a lot of mountains that's in your life that came from your mouth well you know every time about this year i always get a sore throat every time about this year i always get the flu you know nothing ever works out for me i always have the bad luck you know it always works out for you but you know everything just works out bad for me i never can't get ahead in life you know i'm just getting so old i mean just every year i just lose more on my mind lose more of my strength oh you keep acting like that child and you're going to kill me kid you're such a brat i mean oh man i just can't take anymore you're going to make me have a heart attack you keep acting like that i'm never going to make it past 60. you realize have you thought about the things that we say and so many are so just such curse-filled words that's killing me that's gonna give me a stroke or a heart attack never can't get ahead in life but isn't it interesting that you start seeing saying things on the positive side and people look at you like you're crazy you say the negative stuff well i'm just getting older and stupider and people go oh yeah i'm right there with you brother but you make a statement like i'm just getting older smarter and healthier and people go like what's wrong with you why because what's normal in the world is the curse that's what people are familiar with that's what they operate with and that's what they're satisfied they think the curse is normal but you start talking like heaven on the earth and that's where people think you're strange even in church unfortunately a lot of places that are that are christian folk you talk like that you talk like god and they look at you like you lost your mind and that's when you need to tell them yes i did i have the mind of christ i'm thinking like god i'm speaking like god i'm speaking like jesus because i'm going to get results like jesus and if you don't like it you can keep on living like the devil and get results like the devil and you can you can enjoy and you can blame god but man jesus gave me he showed me himself not only as my example but the standard of what i can have and what i can do and he told me that if i will believe in my heart and i speak it out of my mouth i will have whatever i say so i will not have the virus i will not have the flu i will not have a stroke at 60 i will not get cancer i will not get this i will not get that i will not i will not get sick i've said this for years that when i lay my head on the pillow i'm out i have sweet sleep it was funny the other day so jake had been having a hard time sleeping for a little bit and uh and so we're talking about it and me and him and lacey were sitting there and we're talking about this and jake goes i just don't understand it jake he turns 12 in two weeks and he said mom dad i don't understand it how come dad he just every time he lays his head on the pillow he's out like in 30 seconds and i lay there for like hours i always have a hard time going to sleep always have a hard time going sleep i said that's your problem he said what i said your mouth he said what i said listen to what you're saying i always have a hard time going to sleep every time i go up there i just lay there for hours i say you're getting what you say and then he goes well how come you didn't say something before now and lacey goes well jake yeah we talk to you about words how important our words are and she said it's very important you say you need to stop saying that he said i wish you would have told me before now he goes so how long i love it i love the innocence he goes so how long is it going to take for me to change that and lacey said well you need to start speaking just like dad when you lay your head down the pillow you go right to sleep he said how long is it going to take to correct that how many times i got to say that i'm like well you've been saying it for almost 12 years you know you're gonna have what you say guys we'll spend some more time on it we're gonna look at some more scriptures about it but i mean you see in the old testament you see in the new testament guys your words are important the things you say about yourself the things you say about your spouse the things you say about your children the things that you say about your money the things you say about your business if you believe it you will have it the good or the bad and if people that are out there christians i mean i know millions of christians say i don't believe in all that name it and claim it mess did you get saved well yeah then you believe it what are you talking about because the bible says that the way you get saved romans chapter 10 you believe it in your heart and you confess it with your mouth and with with confession salvation is made unto you with confession salvation is made unto you see even the devil believes that god is god even the devil believes that jesus is the son of god even the devil knows and believes he knows it that jesus he is the messiah he he knows it but he ain't gonna dare to clear it he ain't gonna dare say it and that but that's how you and i get saved by believing in our hearts and declaring it with our mouth of what we believe well if that's how you receive the greatest gift heaven had to offer that is how you are going to receive all of the byproducts all of the after effects all of the benefits of salvation how you got the tree that's how you're going to get the fruit why because that was the tool of heaven and god's trying to get you and i to up our game and put our faith in our mouth why because that's the way our father operates by his words by his words so some of you you need to start speaking through some things what problems what situations you have in your life you need to start speaking to things yeah there's some things we need to pray about there's some things we need god to intervene in but you need to recognize there's some things in this world you have authority over and you're going to have to exert that authority and it's not going to come by your hands or by your feet it's going to come by your house it's going to come by your mouth you need to have faith in the words faith in the authority that god gave us is exerted through our mouth [Music]
