is here on the screen for you first John chapter 5 and verse 14 says now this is the confidence that we have in him if we ask anything according to his what his will he hears us and if we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him so notice verse 14 he said this is the what the confidence the boldness is the confidence we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will so this right here friends this is where faith begins it's in knowing what God's will is you can't believe God for anything you can't ask God for anything if you don't know what his will is on the issue and there's a lot of people that I tell you that God's will is this and God's will is that or God's will isn't this and God's will isn't that but it really doesn't matter what people have to say you need to find out what God has to say and if you want to know what God's will is then you just go to his word for his word is his will it be no different if you want to know what my will was you know when I given something all you got to do is get my word on it find out what I have to say for my word is my will my word is my will and for a lot of people I've talked to some people here in the last few weeks that that told me you know they need a bigger house you know or they they need to get out of a rent house they want to own their own home and and there's lots of people that's either they got a small house and then their family's growing they need to get a bigger house or they've been renting for a long time and and they want to have their own home or there's just some people that may have a nice house but they're piled full of debt and they need to pay that thing off and if you're listening to some people that say that they love Jesus sometimes you'll hear that God he wants his people poor he wants his people broke he wants his people humble the other day I was reading a newspaper article and which a prominent leader within a certain denomination said that God he wants a poor church that can support the poor people I wonder what he was smoking when he said it because I and how are you going to give financially when you don't have anything to give you can't be poor and support the poor you got to be rich to support the poor you can't give when you don't have anything to give I'm am I missing something here I mean how does God want us to be poor so we can support the poor doesn't make any sense doesn't make any sense but we want to spend some time today and and next week and give you what God's Word says about a house a lot of people don't realize if he has a lot to say about your home about a house and so if you're one of those once you've been written for a long time and you want your own house hey I got good news for you God wants you to have one and if you are a growing family of bustling family you got a small house and and you need a bigger one you want a bigger one I got good news for you God wants you to have a bigger one and if you got a nice house and you got a bigger house but but you owe money on it and I would guess that's a lot of people in here Oh money on their house I got good news for you God wants you to be debt-free but it's not me it's not my word on it it's God's word on it so this is where faith begins you got to know the will of God right and if we know the will of God then we can have confidence when we ask and we have confidence when we ask according to his will we know that he hears and we know we will have right so let's find out what the will of God is okay so real quickly turn over to Philippians chapter 4 and verse 19 most of you have probably heard this one right here this is a little bit general but it's a good place to start and then we'll get real specific Philippians chapter 4 and verse 19 it says my God will do what he will supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus so would you say that a house is the need yeah I mean you need a place to live right you need a place to live now the thing is that some people would say well this is the religious people you know well you know I mean if you just got a little apartment you got a roof over your head then that's all you need you don't need anything fancy you don't need anything big you don't need anything look sirs you just need a roof over your head cuz it you know if you grew up in church like I did you grew up around a lot of people thought we're supposed to be poor you shouldn't be having anything nice you know you see a roof over your head okay well how BIG's that roofs got to be how small is the roof got to be how much area can it can it cover because then you start getting into all these gray areas well if it's a roof over my head can it be I mean how far do I have to go is it just tree branches do I just live under a tree it gives me shade and shelter can it be a house does it need to be an apartment doesn't need to be a mobile home doesn't mean need to be a tent can it be a big house I mean you know where's that where's the lot in there well the good thing is God he actually gives us exactly what he wants us to have and it's all right here some of you gonna get so smart this morning and yet when you go tell some of your religious little friends they're gonna get so mad at you and they can just keep getting on mad while you move on up to these yes turn over Deuteronomy we're gonna go with the Old Testament now I want you to think about this too I always make mention this when we go over to the Old Testament that the Bible says in Hebrews that you and I are we have a better covenant established upon better promises and so you and I we actually have it better than those in the Old Covenant and so if you can find under the Old Covenant the good stuff that God has for his people under the Old Covenant then you know at the very least you've got the best of what they've got under the Old Covenant because you know we've got a better covenant and so in Deuteronomy chapter 8 and verse 11 it says this it says but where that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping his Commandments as judgments or statutes which I command you today unless when you've eaten and you were full and you have built what kind of houses now notice that says house it doesn't say apartment doesn't say tent says beautiful houses and you do what and you dwell in them and when your herds and your flocks multiply and your silver and your gold are multiplied and all that you have is multiplied now this doesn't sound like nopo man's house and then say pause i po no put how many of you been po not poor you don't understand po you ain't been there I didn't grow up were up po see what you couldn't even afford the oh and the are that PO he said beautiful houses so there's there's some really good stuff here number one he said houses he didn't even say just house he said houses and he said on top of that he want something to be beautiful I'll read this to you in the the message translation it says make sure that when you eat and are satisfied and you build pleasant houses and you settle in and you see your herds and your Fox flourish and more and more money coming in and watch your standard of living going up and up make sure you don't become so full of yourself and forget God so it's interesting to me that God says I don't have a problem with you having not just one home but lots of home and when you have those homes I don't want them to be little pieces of trash I don't want to be little shacks I want to be big beautiful fine homes and he's letting you know he said as you have those homes and and your money increases and your businesses increased he said I don't have a problem with that just don't forget me he said don't forget me so so so so get rid of the trash that you heard growing up that God wants you poor and God wants you broke and God wants you just barely getting by he's telling you I don't want you to just have one house I want you to have lots of see the Church of Jesus Christ should be the biggest real estate owners on the planet we shouldn't we shouldn't be having all the real estate he said when you build big beautiful houses don't forget me why because he's the one that's given you power to get wealth he's the one giving you the the ability in the authority and the blessing to do it he said big beautiful houses so so we find out right here he wants you to have a house and he wants it out if he wants to have not just one but many why is he wanting to have many houses well if you got several houses number one you could rent some of them out and you can make some extra money there too if you know somebody that needs a place to stay hey come over to my house I've got a spare I don't have just a spare room I got a spare house for you to stay it and then if the Lord moves on your heart or you just feel so inclined to do so and you know someone needs a house say you know what I don't just have a room for you to live in for a while or a house where you living for I have one I just want to give you see we need to increase our our small little thinking because one of the problems that happens when you grow up in a small town is you have small thinking and when you have small thinking you have a tendency to ask God for small stuff and you believe God for small stuff see we're selling this church and and we're gonna buy the land and and we're gonna build it but we're not looking to move way outside of town where things are real cheap why not go on the interstate where the property value is high but see you start talking like that the people they go well I don't know I mean you know I mean that just seems so big I mean how in the world are they gonna do it see that right there is what you just need to slap and say shut up devil sure so you need look at your neighbors say do I need slap you I warned y'all do it if I need to he said big beautiful houses and then look over at Deuteronomy chapter 28 and verse 10 turn over a few pages Deuteronomy 28 verse 10 I'm just gonna warn you we got a lot of scriptures for you you can try to write them down if you want I would encourage you too you can go throughout the week and look at these and meditate on them we're gonna have them we're going to put them all together in a nice little package for you and we'll put it in the app and I will even have them print it out for you next week as well Deuteronomy chapter 28 and verse 10 it says and then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord and they'll be afraid of you and the Lord will grant you plenty of Goods and the fruit of your body they increase in your livestock and in the produce of your ground and the land of which the Lord swore to your father's to give you and he will open as good treasure the heavens to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand and you will lend to many nations and you shall not borrow and the Lord will make you the head and not the tail you should be above only and not beneath if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today and you were careful to observe them and so notice in verse 11 he says he's going to grant you plenty of Goods plenty of life's turnings plenty of stuff well you can't have no small house and hold plenty of stuff you got to have a big house so see God doesn't want you having some small little rinky-dink thing he didn't want you having little he wants you to have big why he's a big God and if you got a small place you can only hold a small amount of stuff he said he's gonna bless you with plenty of goods plenty of stuff and notice this too he'll get into this a little bit but notice he says and I will make you the lender I want you to be the lender not the borrower I'll make you the head not to tell so not only does he want you to have big beautiful houses filled with lots of stuff he said I wanted to be debt-free I don't want you owing anybody I want you to be the head not to tell I want you to be the lender not to borrow see he wants you to have your own home if you're renting you don't own it you're borrowing it for a price and nothing against renting I mean you know if it's a short term type of deal worry maybe you're gonna be in a city for just a little bit I mean renting is fine but you realize when you're renting you're making somebody else rich and when you think you can't do what you want to do in that place you got to ask permission to paint the walls you got to ask permission to expand you gotta ask mission sometimes even to hang up a poster because you might put a little hole in the sheet rock you got to get permission to get a dog I mean you can't do what you want to do don't get mad that's not God's will he wants you to have your own stuff he once you have your own stuff and so if you're in a place and you're rinsing then you need to get your eyes on the scripture and I want you to notice this - when he's talking he didn't talk about how old you have to be either see we've bought into some some mess here on this planet where you know you can't you can't get something nice and you can't have it debt-free until you're like 60 you know cause you get a house and you get that 30-year mortgage and you work work work work work and and you pay 2 3 sometimes 4 times when it's actually worth by the time that you're done and then by the time that you're done and you know and you're in your 70s and 80s because you took out a second mortgage so you could remodel and everything by the time you take your last breath it's finally paid off that is not God's will 30-year mortgage was not God's plan man came up with that you know why because it makes other people money and it takes money out of your pocket that you could be so it you could be given you could be blessing with you could be investing with making more money God's will is for you to have your own stuff and notice he's not specifying an age he's not specifying a race he's not specifying a gender come on don't don't tell me that you have an excuse because of your race because of your age because of your sex come on there's a level playing field here with God nobody's holding you back the government's not holding you back no race is holding you back no gender no sex is holding you back there's no glass ceiling here with God I don't care if you're a woman or not I don't care if you're black or Hispanic or not no government no people can hold you down and cause you to have what they say you can have there's no uses anymore when you get in Christ because when you got in Christ Jesus freed you from your excuses he freed you from the bys he frees you from the chains he frees you from everything people did to you in the past so now God becomes your provider not the government God becomes your provider not your family God becomes your provider not the bank God becomes your provider not your skin color not your gender God is you're providing to his riches not what you can do here in all this earth we can't sit there and say well I'm in this situation because of what happened in the past you can't do that anymore because when you got in Christ Jesus set you free from that and now God becomes your daddy and heaven becomes your bank I know it hits hard a little bit I had people telling me when our group where are you just some poor little Spanish yang and bill do anything you can't have this you won't you won't be able to go to college and blah blah blah I could have sat there and listened to it and said old me I'm so poor on their bill to have anything never build a mountain anything I couldn't listen to that but then I started finding out you know when I was late teens I started to see him where God wanted me to prosper and God wanted me to have things and I found out it didn't matter what people said what went on in my past that didn't matter anymore because God was my provider and God wanted me to have some stuff and he was gonna be the one to get it to me regardless of what's going on out here so age isn't a factor race isn't a factor notice he doesn't even mention anything about your paycheck huh let me show you something you're in Deuteronomy turn over to Deuteronomy chapter 6 we're gonna go a little out of order here but we said something so we're going to touch on Deuteronomy chapter 6 and verse 10 says so it shall be when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which he swore to your father's Abraham Isaac and Jacob remember if he did this for them at the very least you and I've got it this promise available to us too because we got a better covenant he said he will give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build houses full of good things which you did not feel don't tell me that what you can have is based on what you make come on now your paycheck does not determine what you can have your paycheck does not determine what you can do your faith determines that see is the great equalizer it equals everything out for every single one of us it doesn't matter if you grew up poor or not it doesn't you know because because people want to make those excuses and I understand on the natural side of things every single one of us we grew up in different homes different families some of us we had parents that beat on us some of us we had parents that were just dirt poor and broke some of us had parents had never been to college before some of us grew up and a very rich and very wealthy home some of us had some advantages starting out in life but I'm telling you faith it will equal out everything it doesn't matter how you started out things here in this natural life because when you get in Christ and you grab a hold of the Word of God by faith it will get you at least to the place where some of your wealthy friends were and then take you past that because you're not limited according to their daddy's wealth and their mamas wealth and their education you're not limited to their stuff you've got gone faith is a great equalizer but the first thing you and I've got to do is stop making excuses Christians should not be making excuses for who they are what they don't have and what they can't do and my house can't is a four-letter curse word we don't say can't can't have can't do shut up you don't say that no house and you don't say that here either in this house you don't say can't kick you out will save you will bring you back can look look over to Isaiah chapter 32 I can do all things Isaiah chapter 32 and first eighteen I read this to you have the message translation I'll say a 3218 it says and where there's right there'll be peace and the progeny of the right quiet lives and endless trust my people live in a peaceful neighborhood and safe houses and in quiet gardens the New King James says my people will dwell in a peaceful habitation and secure dwellings and in quiet resting places see not only does God want you to have big beautiful homes that you own but he also wants you to be in a safe quiet neighborhood it is not God's will for you to be living in a place where bullets are flying by your head it is not God's will for you to live in a place that you can't go outside and walk down the sidewalk at night enjoy a cool evening breeze if you want to that is not God's will God's will is his word and his word says that my people would dwell in a secure peaceful place God once you have big beautiful homes filled with nice stuff and he wants you to be in a secure peaceful neighborhood so if you live in a bad neighborhood I think it's time that you move on up anybody grew up watching The Jeffersons I just love George I love George it's time for you to move on up God didn't have a problem with you upgrading I mean I think we need to upgrade I see this is God's standard and if our life is not meeting up to his standard we need to move on up we need to guide our faith and grab a hold of the Word of God and let's start moving up let's go up to his standard for his people he said he wants you to dwell in a peaceful habitation and secure dwellings and quiet resting places so see your home should also be a place of solitude for you shouldn't be a stressful place shouldn't have to be worrying about your kids going out and playing outside you know it hurts my heart I was I was watching TV the other day and and they were interviewing some people that were in Chicago these kids these teenagers and they were talking about how that they can't even go outside during the day because they're scared they're gonna get shot and and parents say you know someone we're trying to homeschool their kids cuz they don't even want to walk down to school cuz they're their brothers and sisters are getting shot that's not God's will that's not God's will one of the houses that I grew up in I remember what that when when that when the when the light started going out in the sky and the light started coming on the streetlight ireb little rear ends were supposed to get inside because we couldn't be outside in that neighborhood at that time that is knock dogs well I should be able to go outside at 2:00 in the morning if I want to not concerned about my life not concerned about the safety of my family and my children that should not be a concern of mine he said my people well I don't know about you but I'm one of his he said my people will dwell in a peaceful place a peaceful home a peaceful habitation in secure dwellings and in quiet resting places quiet resting places I like the message said live in a peaceful neighborhood in safe houses quiet Gardens and then I look over at Psalm chapter 18 and verse 19 so not only as he wants you to have big beautiful holes and good peaceful quiet secure neighborhoods that's not dependent on your age your gender your race your upbringing Psalm 18 19 says he also brought me out into a broad place and he delivered me because he delighted me the amplified bible says he brought me into a large place other translations say he brought me into a big place he brought me into an expansive place God doesn't want you being cramped he don't want you being cooped up how are you how many of you grew up in a real small house as a kid I remember when I was in sixth grade okay so from the age of seven we're doing pretty good up until I was seven years old my dad he used to work for mobil oil refineries down there and in Beaumont Texas and I remember I was seven years old and he got hurt he broke his ankle broke his knee he broke his back and neither one of our parents had a college education my mom hadn't been working the entire time she's been taking care of me and my brother and sister and so you know she was 27 and he was like 32 and so he couldn't work for like five years because of the injuries and stuff that he had and I'm telling you from age 7 to 14 we moved ten times within 15 mile radius ten times we moved because we couldn't afford the rent at this house and we couldn't afford it here so we move move move move and then you know you're at a place so long and and you can't pay the rent so they make you leave and so you move move move I mean we did that out remember we lived in this one little apartment it was the first place we moved into this little apartment and man who is Jesus with municipal apartment and the first thing that happened when I was a kid you know I grew up in the late 70s and 80s and they had these little bikes you know that you pedaled and there was a little handle so when you're going really fast you'd pull that handle and make you spin out I love that thing there was a it was a gravel road all around there so I'd get going really fast and pull that handle I'd spin out it was sitting on her front porch within the first couple of days somebody stole that thing so I stole my wheels I wasn't happy I was mad and then after a few days we started noticing roaches showing up in the place I mean you'd open up the kitchen cabinets and little roaches to crawl out and so we're getting spray and we're calling the manager 5,000 you know I'm eight years old now we're in this place and and you know it's two bedrooms so it's me and my brother and my sister we're in one room and then my parents are another room that's not cool when you're 8 be sharing a room with your 7 year old sister and your 3 year old brother that's not cool and then wasn't working you know she's got our little girl toys and I got my GI Joes and my Star Wars they don't like Barbie they don't get along with but we're in this little room and it's cramped you know and I remember one night I was laying you know me and my brother we had a bunk bed and I remember laying in the I had the top and I was laying there asleep I felt something fall on my face I kind of wiped it off and I'm laying there it's dark and so thought something else hit my face I walked off I looked up and there was just enough light coming in for the moon I looked up and the season was black it was cockroaches I started screaming they started falling all over me it was an invasion it was a takeover cockroaches I stood screaming hard my parents start running in there they're flipping on life there's cockroaches all over the place in Texas they fly you ever seen flying cockroaches like they fly after you they attack you and then Texas everything's big even the cockroaches I'm not talking about little cockroach I'm talking about big cockroaches they fly they're going all over the place and so we finally decided to move out of there because it was just too bad and we moved all over the place now remember I was in sixth grade and and we live in this one little apartment it was really small I mean my bedroom was my brother my sister it was so small me my brother we had twin beds meant a bunk bed and my sister she had a twin bed the room was so small her bed was on the floor she didn't have a bed frame the room was so small that when you walked in the room all you saw were two beds and so if you want to get to the window what that was at the other side when you walk you had to go like this in between the two beds and the beds were against the wall I mean dinky little room are you talking about being cooped up when you're cooped up like that that's that's not peaceful that's stressful you can't even move around you can't even get away from people in your house you know sometimes you think it'll get away from some people even your loved ones you need to get away and we were cooped up hey and you know you realize where the word coop came from there's a reason they call chicken coops coops because you ever look at a chicken coop and you got a lot of chickens and they're crammed in there even our chicken house this is a chicken coop I mean it's like a good little size shed but you know we got about 20 chickens and they're all in there together but what's interesting is that even for a dumb chick you know chickens are dumb I mean just stupid dumb chickens are dumb but even chickens understand this they don't want to be cooped up his Lacey goes down there she'll open up the door and those chickens they come waddling out there clucking they start moving their feathers and stretching out even chickens are dumb and they don't like being cooped up whoa they get outside they're walking all around they're enjoying live looking around picking on the ground and oh look at all this space out here you know chickens are stupid yet they know they're not supposed to be cooped up and yet you and I we put up with it because I love Jesus God I don't want you to cooped up he said I bringing them out into a broad place the big place a large place see it's good for you to have large stuff big stuff why number one you can be a blessing to people number two God wants your home he wants to be a peaceful place that's what you need to get away from your loved one for a little bit get some time out for yourself you can't he wanted to be peaceful he wants me brought Isaiah chapter 65 let's look at another one real quick Isaiah 65 and verse 21 says they shall build houses and they won't have with him and they'll plant vineyards and they'll eat their fruit now let me ask you something how are you going to build a vineyard on a quarter acre lot how you a garden a farm a little dinky little lot where when you look out your your bathroom window you're waving hollers the person next to you on the toilet I mean you say hey how's it going good morning and it's shower I mean that's not enough room God wants you to have stuff he wants you to have space you can't plant a vineyard you can't plant a garden on a dinky little lot he wants you to have space he wants you to have space brought place and then I look over at Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 10 again I'm gonna read this out out of the message translation we read it just a few minutes ago so not only does he want you have big beautiful houses I want you to have have those houses and nice neighborhoods that's peaceful secure he wants you to have a big house he wants you to have a land that you can enjoy yourself on Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 10 and the message that says when God your God gives you the land he promised through his ancestors you're going to walk into large bustling cities that you didn't deal and you're gonna have well furnished houses that you didn't buy well for furnished houses so he not only wants you to have big beautiful houses and have them safe and secure in it and have large houses and have them on lots of land he wants you to have a house that's well furnished in other words he doesn't have a problem with you having a couple of couches and nice paintings and pictures on the walls and stuff in your refrigerator and in your your pantries and closets and have a nice comforters and pillows and actually having a bed frame I mean you know we didn't have a bed frame for a little bit he wants you to have stuff in your house and that what he said over in Deuteronomy chapter 28 he says he's gonna bless you so much he's gonna bless you so you'll have plenty of goods you have plenty of stuff y'all didn't have a problem with material things people do come on how many of you been around Christians you know Christians and they say oh you shouldn't have that nice house sir that person that that house that's just too expensive that's just too big have that big old TV in that house I shouldn't have that nice this and I said show me in the Word of God we're too expensive is too expensive and too big is too big and too much is too much you're not going to find it now I can tell you what's too expensive and what's too big and what's too much because for the people who are saying that's too big that's too expensive it's too much what's too big too expensive and too much it's for them was too big for them to be able to see them having and in a house that's too expensive as a house that that's too expensive for them to see them having and a house that's too much as a house that they can't ever see them have it and that's when it begins to become too big too expensive and too much but I've noticed that when God says he wants you to have something good he wants you to have something fine he wants you to have something beautiful God's standards of those things far exceed what eyes are said well furnish that you didn't buy and then proverbs chapter 24 and verse 3 and the amplified this is really really good so you may have a house and that that parts already taken care of but hey maybe you need some new furniture maybe your kid needs a new bed maybe you need a new mattress maybe your your refrigerator blew up and you need a new maybe you need some stuff in your house proverbs 24 verse 3 and the amplified says through skillful and godly wisdom a house is built and by understanding it's established on a sound and good foundation and by knowledge it's rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches by knowledge its rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches in proverbs 3 verse 33 it says that that God he blesses the home of the righteous well what does the word blessed mean he's empowered to prosper he said for the righteous he will empower their home to prosper remember in Deuteronomy 6 he said then that he'll give you a home that that you didn't even have to to buy it furnish it with things first it was stuff he said your your gold multiplies and your silver multiplies and your standard of living begins the multiplying continues to go up he'll bless you with nice stuff bless you with nice stuff Deuteronomy chapter 28 we mentioned let's read it real quick Deuteronomy chapter 28 and verse 12 says the Lord will open to you as good as good treasure the heavens to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand you shall lend the many nations but you shall not borrow and the Lord will make you the head and not the tail and you will be above only and not beneath see God didn't come up with banks giving you and I loans so that we could have a house remember you and I we were born of God sent from heaven into this earth it was God's plan his command his mission for you and I to come here and do a job do a work and then Jesus would come and take us back home he did not send you and I here to live from this world he not sent you and I here to depend on this world he did not send you and I to depend on this world system for our living and sustenance Philippians 4:19 who supplies our needs who take care of us not our job not the government not our family not our friends not the bank God does he said he'll take care of our needs he'll take care of I want he'll take care of our desires God will do it God will do it he doesn't want you being told what to do look at Isaiah chapter 65 in verse 21 I was there 65 in verse 21 says they shall build houses and they won't habit them they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit they shall not build an another inhabit and they will not plant and another eat now we looked at this one earlier this as far as the the expansiveness and land and this and that but this also applies to the money peace you realize there's a lot of people especially in the last few years that's that's built the house bought the house and they've lost it because they couldn't keep up the payments foreclosure happens because you can't keep making the payment you can't keep paying the bill you can't keep paying the taxes on it you don't have enough there but do you realize if you don't have a mortgage there's no such thing as foreclosure come the bank can't take it away because there ain't they don't own it you do so God wants you to be debt-free in this thing we're going to spend all next Sunday talking about this but he wants us to be debt-free in this thing he doesn't want us go in 30 years being a slave to somebody he didn't set you free so we can enslave ourselves his reason everything it's quiet because this isn't talked about enough our minds are going but how how how how how how how how is that possible how can I get to the point where well that would be possible well the first thing is we got to stop look into ourselves guys stop looking to the government we got to stop looking to the bank we gotta stop looking to our family our friend we got to stop looking to our education we got to stop looking to our upbringing we got to start looking to our God chapter xxxii just a few pages back as they a 32 and verse 17 we read this one before we'll read this one again once you see in a different light I'll say a 3217 says the work of the righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever verse 18 that my people were telling a peaceful habitation and secure dwellings and in quiet resting places you know God not only wants you to have a house that gives you peace of body but he also wants you to have a place that gives you peace of mind and knowing that nobody can take that away from you nobody can take that away from you you know it's a good thing you know emotionally and psychologically that if you're in a position and something happened maybe you lost your job or you know maybe a circumstance came up and you needed a lot of money to take care of something it's a good thing knowing that I've got enough money to take care of stuff because I'm not having to pay you know $1,500 or $2,000 a month on a mortgage you're gonna have peace of mind knowing that no matter what goes on this place is mine and nobody's gonna come in here and take it from me it's a very stressful thing to have to go to work and know that you know something came up I got to go take my kid to the doctor all right you know I need to go take care of something with my family but you know I can't miss work today because if I was to miss work today or you know I need that money I got to make that house note or you know I mean I'm just so stressed my family stress we haven't been on spend time with each other a route we really need to get away and take a vacation but I just I can't afford to take off a week because if I do not gonna have enough money for the rent not gonna have enough money for the mortgage that that's not good that's not peaceful that's not peace in your mind and in your emotion God does not want us stressed he wants us blessed he doesn't want us broke he wants us rich he doesn't want you cooped up like a chicken he wants you to be free baby free mostly to be free he was you have space he wants you to have nice stuff he was that all you shouldn't have nice stuff well if you don't believe we should have nice stuff than you're selfish because when you have nice stuff then God can move on your heart to bless some money with something nice come on somebody you know their TV broke they didn't have money in place that maybe you know it was like me as a kid and I'm playing baseball in the house and hit a baseball the TV and broke it somebody like that you know and something happened I mean you can say hey I got a next one here you go I just bought this one you know I just bought this brand new thing you know here's 1,200 bucks but hey I'll just go get nothing here you go somebody you know bought a new house and and they need a couch and say hey I've got a couple of them here well bring one to you God wants you to have nice stuff as long as you don't forget the reason for having the stuff God wants you to have a nice house as long as you don't forget the reason for having these things number one God loves you the reason people have a problem with stuff is because they don't understand really how much God loves them if we would just take a step back and take a step back from stupid and look at the way you would treat your children it's my heart's desire for my child to have lots of nice stuff it blesses me to see him have more stuff in his room right now and I had my entire childhood I'll even say this that this bless my socks off probably a couple of months ago we had we had some kids over the house and they were playing and everything and and I heard him harder to look at Jake and say hey Jake are your parents rich that blessed me that that little four-letter word was never associated with me now we're not rich by any means and compared to you know standards that you know of wealth here in the Sun but that just blessed me because I like they thought I was listening to conversations I was getting so giddy just listening to they say you got because they got he's got to do buggies out there I mean he's got the Lacey and him they got their animals and the horses and we got acres of land out there I mean Jake if he wants to go outside and go take care of business behind a tree I mean he can nobody's gonna care we could do whatever we want out there got all this space you know if me and Lacey are getting into it I can walk a half a mile down get away or she can get away she can go down by the bar and hang out that just blessed me guess that little kid was looking at Jake and he was saying to him when I was saying to my friends when I was growing up a little I had a friend of mine he was my my best little friend growing up and I just thought he was rich cuz he had his own room he had a playroom that was full of stuff he had a Commodore 64 I mean computer in somebody's house and man they gotta be rich and then I go spinning I love spend the night with him cuz I go spending on Friday and Saturday morning his mom would take me and him to Toys R Us and I could pick out a GI Joe she'd buy me a GI Joe every time I went on her house he let me pick out GI Joe or Star Wars figures she bought him one and buy me one I thought man they must be really no toys are us all the time we're breaking toys out of sticks you know in the backyard he's going again GI Joes and Star Wars I thought they'd arrest they had a video camera a 1981 we go out and make videos you make our own videos back there the VCR we want to watch a movie we ought to go down the video rental store and rent a VCR anybody ever went out and rented one hey kids big old clunky box weekend in photo with no rent a VCR paint right I'm fine before we're wrong but hey I want to do more because more I have the more I can do the more you and I have the more we can do not only individually but also as a church this church ought to be the richest Church in Jonesboro oh it's gonna happen whether you like it or not come on this church shouldn't just own one building we ought to own a lot of buildings around town we ought own a lot of real estate around town we're out ability if there's a need in the city they ought to build just call change shirts we say hey we'll take care of that knee new bridge hey we got to go Nene Road hey well take care of it because we love this town see you talk like that people go hi it's little thinking little I don't like little I don't like small I don't like cramp I don't like that I grew up in that my entire life I love life now if I want to say hi to a neighbor I walk out the backyard go hey I mean you have to get binoculars out to see them you know I love it well I want to buy out the rest of the land around me I want nobody around me see us with me God wants me to have big beautiful homes filled with nice stuff and safe secure neighborhoods he wants my house to be not only full of stuff he wants to be full of good space so I can go home I can relax in safety security peace and tranquility he wants me to have so much stuff so I can be a blessing unto others I'm blessed to be a blessing I will not sell myself short I will not sell my family short I will not sell my grandchildren shorts by thinking small I don't think big I will line my thinking and I'll align my believing with the Word of God who my God is a big God and he those big things in my life because I have big faith I won't sell myself short I'm going to move myself up and my family up to God's standard his God's a big God I'm not limited by the government I'm not limited by my paycheck I'm not limited by the economy I'm not limited according to my gender I'm not limited according to my age I'm not limited according to my education I'm not limited according to my skin color I'm only limited by one thing and that's my faith but the sky is the limit for me I can have anything and everything that God said I can have God said it I believe it and that settles it hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hey come on let's give God praise let's take him worship Him hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise you look raise you load hallelujah now what you need to do you need to write these scriptures down you need to think about them you need to print them out you need to put them all over your house put them on the refrigerator put them on the cabinets I mean if you got to put it on the underside of a toilet seat when you lift it up and you see the Word of God right there you have it in your closet you have it in your car you have it in your pockets you put it on the back side of your phone you get the word everywhere so everywhere you go you're seeing it it's in your eyes it's in your ears and you begin to transform your thinking so you're not conformed to this world's way of living but you're transformed according the renewing of your mind you start living away that Heaven lived start living the way that God designed for you and how to live so we're not limited by this world well these are the last of the last days and the church needs money I'm not talking about this time I'm saying the church as a whole the Church of Jesus Christ needs money the Church of Jesus needs stuff because when the economy takes on this on this in this country yeah you better run the government anymore and the government's already trying to control you enough as it is anyway you and I need to get so free and be able to pull the plug from every every political system every financial system every medical every system of this world we need to be so free so that no matter what goes on in this world it does not affect you in me we live high above regardless of what's going on nothing affects us and yet it puts us in a position where everybody that they tanked and went down with it we can we can put a hand out and we can pull them back up and be a blessing financially blessing materially and then it opens up their heart and we can tell them about Jesus stay with me the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever the Lord is good to me and His mercies endure forever and ever and ever hallelujah
