hey guys Omaha here Tim I'm going to be going over the Wild Heart Barbarian subclass in balers Gate 3 and I'm going to show you everything you get for levels 1 through 12 the strong embrace the wild that hides inside Heen instincts Primal physicality and most of all an unbridled unquenchable rage as a barbarian you get weapon proficiencies and simple weapons and Marshall weapons adding your proficiency bonus to attack roles with those weapon types basically makes it easier to hit and hit an enemy your attack role has to match or exceed the target's Armor class you also get armor proficiencies and light armor medium armor and shields so while wearing these armor types it's not going to impose a disadvantage on your attack roles or prevent you from casting spells barbarians get the class action rage deal two extra damage with melee and improvised weapons and throwing you also get resistance to physical damage so taking half damage from physical and advantage on strength checks and saves so Advantage is where it's going to roll two dice and use the higher value this will last 10 turns and the rage will end early if you don't attack an enemy or take damage each turn and you can't concentrate on spells while raging so here's what rage looks like it's going to add two damage to my weapon attacks [Music] go to the combat log down here you'll see I rolled a four in damage and then I added three for my strength modifier and then the plus two came from Rage then I have the resistance to physical attack so I'll end my turn here there he hit me for three he rolled a five we get plus two from his dexterity modifier and then my resistance down here subtracted four so this will use a bonus action and a rage charge and rage charges are replenished once per long rest and you're going to start out with two rage charges and then you'll get the class feature unarmored defense so while not wearing armor you add your Constitution modifier to your armor class wearing heavy armor impedes your rage here I'm wearing monastic robes down here at my armor class I have 10 base Armor class plus one from dexterity and then the plus three from my Constitution modifier and that comes from a constitution of 16 you'll then apply your ability points and strength is going to be your most important ability that's going to affect your Effectiveness with melee weapons as well as how far you can jump and how much you can carry so you're going to want to get that as high as possible you'll then apply your skill proficiencies and you'll be able to choose two from Athletics nature animal handling perception survival and intimidation when you level up to level two you'll get your first Health increase and the class feature danger sense you sense when things aren't as they should be this gives you advantage on dexterity saving throws against traps spells and surfaces to gain this benefit you can't be blinded or incapacitated so that's going to give you a higher chance of resisting the Spells of so that's going to give you a higher chance of resisting the effects of those of spells and traps and whatnot and typically dexterity saving throw based spells or AOE spells you'll also get the weapon action Reckless attack so until your next turn you have advantage on attack roles but enemies also have advantage against you so this is kind of if you want to go all in so rless attack is going to take your normal weapon damage so 4 to 13 from my long sword that's where it's coming from the initial attack also has Advantage as well so my animations are kind of broken right now sometimes they work sometimes not there hit him for eight and then I have the condition Reckless attack on me so all melee and throwing attack rolls against me you're going to have Advantage if they shoot the bow it's not going to have Advantage once you level three your Health's going to go up you'll get a third rage charge and then you'll choose your subass and for the video I chose Wild Heart your Attunement with nature and it's a beast inspires your rage empowering you with Supernatural might this is going to Grant you a passive so you're going to choose your best chill heart you can change your heart whenever you level up so every time you level up you can choose a different one and it overrides the old one so there's bare heart while raging you can use unrelenting ferocity which heals you for 4 to 11 muster up the stamina to heal yourself and this can to be used once per rage and you have resistance to all damage except psychic damage so you'll take half damage from everything except psychic and what this healing actually is it's 1 to8 plus your Constitution modifier so with constitution of 16 I have plus three and that's where that's coming from makes you sound like a bear and then here's the unrelenting ferocity that heals you then there's Eagle heart while raging you can use diving strike leap down on a foe knocking them prone you won't take falling damage and you must be above your target requires rage so this will knock them prone for two turns and when they're prone they can't move or take actions bonus actions or reactions and live disadvantage on strength and dexterity saving throws also when they're prone you'll have Advantage if you're within 10 ft of the creature and then they have to use half their movement speed to stand up and then foes will have disadvantage on opportunity attacks against you and you can use Dash as a bonus action here's the eagle heart rage here's the diving strike ability from the top ropes there's Elkart while raging you can use Primal Stampede which does 4 to7 blood gening damage this is actually going to be 1 to four plus your strength modifier blood gening damage charge forward attacking all enemies in the way and possibly knocking them prone available only while raging this knocks them prone for two turns and it doesn't provoke opportunity attacks and then your movement speed will increase by 15 ft as well here's the Elkart rage and here's the Primal Stampede ability so if there's a bunch of enemies in the way you can knock knock them all down on the way there then it knocks him prone then we have tiger heart while raging you can use Tiger's blood lust and your jump distance increases by 15 ft this uses your weapon damage lash out to attack up to three enemies at once and you make them bleed for two turns so when they're bleeding they'll take two slashing damage at the start of each turn and they have dis and they have disadvantage on Constitution saving throws that's removed by healing here's the tiger heart rage so here's Tiger's Bud lust this actually takes your weapon damage and divides it in half and that's how you get your damage but you're going to attack three enemies with that and it makes them bleed for two turns so still pretty decent there we go so there I hit all three of them they're all bleeding now for two turns and then they will take two damage at the start of their turn and then finally we have wolf heart while raging you can use insiding how each Ally with an earshot can move an additional 10et during their next turn for one turn and your allies have advantage on melee attack rolls against enemies within 7 ft of you and finally here's the wolf heart rage and then here's insiding how so there's the range of it and then if you want it's optional you can apply piercings so there's the bear piercings Eagle piercings elk tiger and wolf also the wild heart subclass will grant you the spell speak with animals so you'll be able to use that once per long rest and it lasts until a long rest so you can pretty much always just have it up and it doesn't use a Bell slot once you get to level four you'll get your health increase you can change your best Shield heart if you wish to do so and then you'll choose your first fee as far as recommendations go I haven't done a whole lot with Barbarian but ability Improvement I it was good because you want to get your strength higher alert I would not grab because you get a slightly worse version of it later on I think at like level seven Savage attacker is always going to be good on a barbarian or fighter build cuz when you make melee weapon attacks you're going to roll your damage die twice and use the highest result and then Tavern brawler could be good potentially if you're doing like a throw build so it'll take your strength modifier and add it twice to the the damage and attack roles once you get to level five your Health's going to go up again you get the class feature extra attack where you can make an additional free attack after making an unarmed or weapon attack this doesn't add up from other classes so basically you get two attacks per action and then you'll get fast movement where your movement speed is increased by 10 ft when you're not wearing heavy armor and then just like every other level you can change your bestial heart at level six your health will go up again you'll get your fourth rage charge you can change your bestial heart again and then you get an animal aspect adopt the powers of another Mighty Beast first up you have aspect of the Beast bear the aspect of the barar infuses you with strength your carrying capacity is doubled and you have advantage on strength checks chimpanzee the aspect of the champane grants you a Nimble mischievousness you gain resistance to Falling damage and throwing camp supplies blinds targets when they're blind they'll have disadvantage on attack roles range of attacks and spells reduced to 10 ft also attacks against blinded creatures have Advantage here I'm going to throw the Stout stew at this guy okay never mind let me try that again throw these Frights and now he's blinded it's pretty cool then it'll be blinded for two turns crocodile increases your agility in the water your movement speed increases by 10 ft when standing in water-based surfaces on slippery surfaces you also have advantage on saving throws against being knocked prone like ice or something like that eagle enhances your eyesight you can see in the dark up to 40 ft and you get advantage on perception checks that's going to help you spot hidden levers or buttons or stuff like that elk grants you astounding swiftness you can use aspect of the elk giving yourself a nearby allies extra movement speed so this is going to give you and all nearby allies plus five bonus to movement speed until a long rest honey badger if you're poisoned frightened or Charmed at the start of your turn you have a 50% chance to begin raging without expecting a rage charge stallion creates safety and movement dashing grants you temporary hit points equal to twice your Barbarian Level so here for aspect of the Beast stallion I'm actually combining that with the rage Eagle heart cuz it gives you a bonus action Dash instead of using an action right now I'm Barbarian Level six so let me do that go ahead and dash and there I gained 12 temporary hit points yeah it keeps you alive a lot longer that's for sure tiger infuses you with an unrelenting ferocity you add an additional strength modifier to attack rolls against bleeding or poison targets and you get Proficiency in survival so this is going to help you hit bleeding or poison targets easier wolf it boosts your stealthiness you gain proficiency and stealth and you can use aspect of the wolf you and nearby allies add your dexterity modifier as a bonus to stealth checks until a long rest and then finally there's Wolverine grants you the tools to relentlessly pursue your prey when you attack a bleeding or poison Target you also it for one turn so when they're maimed their movement speed is reduced to zero so they can't move and they have disadvantage on dexterity saving throws this is removed by healing once you get to level seven your health will go up and you get the class feature feral Instinct you have honed your instincts to the utmost degree you get a plus three bonus to initiative and you can't be surprised so this is what I was talking about when I was saying you get a slightly worse version of alert alert gives you a plus five to initiative and you can't be surprised this is just plus three but it's still really good and then yet again you'll have the option to change your besal heart upon heading level eight your health will go up and you get the subass feature land stride difficult terrain you've become an expert at moving through the Wilderness difficult terrain no longer slows you down so like something like ice or mud uh is not going to slow you down anymore then you'll be able to change your heart again and then you can choose your second feet once you get to level 9 your health will go up again and you'll get the class feature brutal critical you've trained to strike Swift and true when you land a critical hit you roll an extra damage die as well as the normal additional critical dice so normally when you do a critical hit it's going to roll two damage dice this is basically going to make it so you roll three damage dice instead of two and then you can change your heart at level 10 you'll see that Health bump you can change your heart and then you get a second animal aspect passive so it's the same list as before you can just have two active now two that I really like if you want a recommendation um are tiger and Wolverine combined if you're going for kind of like a bleed build both of these go against bleeding targets so it works out pretty well level 11 you'll see that Health bump you'll get the class feature Relentless rage where once per short rest if you drop to zero hit points while you're enraged you regain one hit point instead of going down so it kind of gives you a second life while you're enraged and then you can change your heart finally when you hit Level 12 you'll see your last Health increase you'll get your fifth rage charge you can change your heart for the last time so this one's going to be final and then you can choose your third and final feat that's going to cover everything for the Wild Heart Barbarian in balers Gate 3 if you guys like this video hit that like button subscribe if you want to see more content like this and give me some suggestions down in the comments as for what you want to see next
