you well I do it kind of everyday so when this airs a couple of months from now um we'll be behind the times on YouTube trends as usual hey par for the course but at the moment there's a big youtube trend going on to try other youtubers tutorials about all kinds of stuff it's basically like the Pinterest stuff nailed it idea of like this is my beautiful Pinterest project this is what happened when I tried it only with YouTube tutorials so today we thought you guys on the livestream know that we love simply Nia logical we make hollow sexual jokes all the time yeah we reference her videos all the time if you aren't familiar with the simply nay logical channel watch it I as a straight male appreciate her work right which says a lot about sparkly nail polish right we're going to butcher one of her tutorials on today's teaching outline indeed so we asked Chris to pick out one of her nail tutorials and for us to try and demonstrate it today on our own nails Chris thank you had some pity on us and tried to pick one of the easiest ones on her Channel I don't expect that we will do very well but we're gonna try so today we are doing the Matt what is it Matt magicals his nails the easy DIY way great I think this is gonna be great I as someone who has never done his nails and barely cut my nails if you can't just know them ah you're a man you just know them off with your teeth right I also let them grow far too long actually that's really in it's kind of gross I don't know I I used a cut I used to be a prodigious nail cutter and then Stephanie when you're in a relationship you got to do stuff for the benefit of the other person and that you're in a relationship with scratches my head Stephanie likes her head and back being scratched and so I let myself grow my nails longer to be a good partner to her we did not talk about this if I had known the trade-off I'm not sure that that would have been a consensual thing but I have to say I appreciate it right these are the small little decisions the privacy part for your partner you're like oh Stephanie likes her head being scratched let me grow up yeah of course you know and her back she likes back scratches like yeah and so ho and so you just grow out your nails for like I don't know I never felt the need to tell her this it was just like a small little service I could provide her in the meanwhile I actually let my nails grow a little bit longer since I knew we were doing this video and so hopefully we'll have plenty of nail runway to work with to get these designs perfect and years of manicure bliss await us in the future so let's do it okay so matte quilted nails let's start certainly need a logical let's start it up and see what we got to do Chris you got all the supplies for us in advance Chris chose a very relevant and recent video this one from January of 2016 today I've got some matte quilted nails for you because I don't know why well wait a second some of you did ask to see more matte nails on this channel really you can tell the old one of our videos because it's not starting off with her on camera actually right oh yeah so okay so what we're gonna do is we're gonna start off we're gonna pause the video as we go so we can follow step by step it is worth noting that she uses like these beautiful high quality nail products we are using pretty much the bottom of the barrel I recognize these as like the cheapest drugstore slash dollar store brands of of nail polish that you can buy so because that's gonna make this even better and more exciting so how do you wanna do this do you want to do a couple new stuff do you want me to do a couple on you and you do a couple on me yeah let's do it okay I think that's a good idea right wait her clear coat is clear her base coat base coat Squier it's true this is not clear this is white the reason it's white yeah because the drugstore wasn't selling a clear peel but her signature is having the peel off base coat right we have to be able to do the nail porn at the end yes we do the peel off there do a couple of mine how long does this stuff take to dry like this is this is gonna be a really long video isn't it am I her to protect my skin from c9 nail polish we don't have no okay so we don't have these so we're spirits order them but apparently we don't have them right so we will not be using nail condoms on this video we will not be practicing safe nail art just know that we are doing it incorrectly you should always practice safe nail art in and and work we're just like that we're like oh we're gonna do it your toriel and then we just like openly neglect a step or two you don't need I feel like that's pretty accurate to this whole like idea of let's follow instructions that's pretty much the level that that our team is working at there's a lot there's a lot of filler time in here she's trying to hit that magic 10-minute mark that doesn't do anything what's going on okay all right so our fingers aren't gonna be protected no we're just gonna have crap all over our fingers great here so Stephanie alright so here I'm gonna create an agreed Ian for Matthews nails by putting this pink and purple on the sponge just like it isn't simply me illogical and I'm gonna put it on the narrower end of the sponge for hopefully less spill over onto our skin this is just all absorbing I was gonna say it's just absorbing into the sponge how is this supposed to work keep going here can you unscrew this why I can did you put the top through this one do not an unscrew this stuff you know I'm uncomfortable her nails are so perfectly like ovular yeah like they have that perfect like thin and then they come to a point like yeah mine are like swamps like they are wide and they are just like they're like movies and so as as comeuppance or as punishment for falling asleep during the movie I would secretly paint his toes or fingers and so when he would wake up he would be in for a rude surprise so it was a challenge to see how many she could get done before the court before he would wake up and usually I could get like two or three at least the other thing that it did was proved that he was asleep that was the other thing I secretly wanted you to make me beautiful when and and maybe maybe some of you have the same experience but when you fall asleep sometimes you don't realize it or sometimes someone's with you and they're like hey you fell asleep and you're like no I didn't or you know I was just resting my eyes yeah no no no no bupkis so when when he wakes up and like eight of his nails are painted it's like yeah you did fall asleep because otherwise I wouldn't have been possible for me to paint your nails the proof proof fun game to play with your court yeah there you go I grow my nails so that way I could scratch her head she oh my gosh right we're flossing or now that I can do so you're gonna need some dental floss or tool oh my god better kinds of dental floss really well once you have your floss or tool ready to go you're gonna add that on your nail and watch the shimmer transform matte precoat doesn't do hollow justice anyways but it makes shimmer look pretty cool so okay toast shimmer maybe 30 seconds or so after the nail looks like it's completely mad okay we need a matte top cool okay okay and then okay not a glossy taco but a matte taco we have this is the only taco we have we're a one-trick taco over here is it this big I think we can write top coat okay I totally understand that oh man we if this is a quick dry we're gonna have to floss pretty quickly of everywhere cuz the whole nail is torn up hold on there we go this is beautiful look I think I'm doing a great job I think I may be nailing this step if only any of the other steps had worked out you'd be able to tell there we go they're not even close to where the cross has happened yes they are they're right on there so close okay that one is a little off there we go boom just right there in the crosses this is gonna look amazing you're gonna look so beautiful this is gonna save it I can tell this is the step that's going to save this whole project just dunk my nail in this big litter yep
