yes yes you're kind of an absolute bonk now I am making a gloriously rich thinnest great beef rib you served in size of a Guinness soda bread bowl it literally couldn't get any more Irish and couldn't get any better this recipe is so high it's going to give you verse again and it starts by making my bread bowl areas just ask James to help you get changed in the toilet if that wasn't ways enough with the cake speaking of ground it's got some satire as in chocolate in a pan on a medium heat mill that sound and you will add danger guineas right so I've started making the dough for my soda bread bowls basically plain flour wholemeal flour sugar bicarbonate soda buttermilk and Guinness or interval mix it and then very sadly and not with any mess whatsoever get it from that bowl obvious forming the perfect circle it's going to rest for 10 minutes before going into an oven ah my legs wow really dancing an egg roll it was dancing there and they just rolled off but while you're here let me clean what I've done I've beaten together sugar and butter until it's light and fluffy and now I'm cracking in an egg four in total with a scoop tablespoon of flour at the same time it's to do with consistency or something like that it's sexy now I've got the be together my sugar eggs and vanilla extract Chris drags up get your sugar in and - opening it extract your colors that's fine baking powder and the rest of the flour into the bowl oh no oh oh no that literally could not have gone worse yeah I was trying to tidy off is it self raising personal grounds there are three things in the gold my chocolate bar unity mix over there just melting down pretty much there I've got my eggs in the sugar and vanilla extract icing off of it mixed up there and now mix to give my flower my cocoa yourself yeah I'm trying to okay voices sometimes you can't make it on your own okay so far we've nearly arrived there a cake batter now I just need to fold in some [ __ ] milk and now to move on to my beef breed skew and number uno so please jump today number one is basically get some herb juice or any into a bowl with Guinness and probably something else and then marinate the ribs limit for at least a couple of hours I have what slightly resembles a cake batter now in order to make that chocolate I'm going to fold in the melted dark chocolate and I've got some cocoa powder so they go straight in and by the end of this we will have a chocolate cake [Music] why is this are they dangerous who did that I said it I'm using it you're not using it I've worn it to burn the hell out of my face it's too hot in here this is an amazing chocolate cake batter this is one of two teams I've lines with baking paper these are now going to go into another night I have preheated eighty 180 degrees speed and I'm going to Aiken for 30 minutes chocolate ring get rain now from a blondie mixer listen Buster and toss sugar gonna beat that together then add one egg at a time with little tips focus through the flour as you go they'll help stabilize it's soft it's flipping so all your flowering and bring that together what my base is marinating I have peeled and sliced some onions so that they can cook away for 45 minutes get really soft sweet and sticky and in the meantime I can crush a Dalek maybe chop up some carrots get them ready to go into the stood for a little bit later this is going to be now I mentioned earlier that my guinea Fleur had a sprinkle rainbow and white why are you associating rainbows with Ireland because of the leprechauns rainbows now the rainbow is in my blondie blondie go sludged Japan but in random spots because we're going to create kind of a marbled effect [Music] [Applause] [Music] how you recipes going left [Music] yep point three did forgot the few on got a beef marinating placing the others yeah I think we'll be alright good good work out that happen but I'm probably stir me onion and now for the coffee drizzle I'm going to dissolve instant coffee into sugar syrup and with a shot of whiskey and in terms of it all over the top of the cakes they still slightly warm so it can absorb absorb all of that liquid and then tastes like coffee while Mike a school and my drizzle soap I'm now going to make an amazing meringue buttercream it will change your life and I don't have to make one because I made one a few weeks back in level up only this time I'm going to add Bailey I guess what well eyebrows let's go in the oven at 1:17 for about half an hour now that my onions have had 45 minutes they squeak they're sticky and they're soft we're going to throw in the garlic some diced carrot the beef stock and then all of the marinade which the beef ribs are in with the beef rib and it goes into an oven with a lid for three hours 140 degrees Celsius now as you may noticed I've had to pull the whole town is getting really sweaty in there and point deduction for lack of commitment effort in come a-calling a little bit no it's just one minute I always do its work now anyway my brow is now done you can tell look at it it's beautiful it's still a big you in the middle encrypting it so just a little embarrassing let me get out of holding back let's hug it so that comes down to room temperature the interface completely set up and go solid and now it's time to layer so we go in the middle then the top goes on and then I crumb coat which is just a really thin coat of buttercream around the outside doesn't matter if it gets from me that's the point I definitely need a turntable perfect [Music] plus three hours in the oven this is what web if she looks like longer battle ever it is in the kureta ball now it comes to the presentation which is obviously the bed I'm reading stronger we're going to take our bread sore off the top and then start to pull out some of the inside of the bread now if you think your sauce needs it was a little bit loose you can always reduce it for a little bit further on the whole once you've taken the beef out this is pretty good we're going to throw in some of our bread just to thicken it a little bit more and that bread is going to soak up all of the juices but still gives that nice kind of soggy bread texture which doesn't sound great that is absolutely delicious when you put it in your mouth [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I can honestly say Patrick would be proud three delicious dishes for a fatter it would also be furious we have not offended anyone we have celebrated all you today let's try some food you should be a politician right I'm going through some first I haven't had soda bread for years and it has that really ot texture this was a stout as well is incredible beef short ribs literally melt Chanel quite a regulating presentation Oh whoo what you get with a little crunch from those rainbow kind of professi in the blondie mix a really rich gooey brownie and there's several tips on that one the Bailey's mascarpone is delish instantly without cutting into it I'm impressed I like the idea I love the smooth Bailey's cream that's a hint of coffee there I wouldn't notice with you because I'm not that much of a fan of whiskey I'm a fan of the safe okay yeah that is delicious that is a really base I feel like that has played up to every stereotype and I didn't think it was going to deliver but actually the brownie is stand good and the mascarpone is incredible that is probably your best icing effort yet I'm rock book for me slow-cooked beef in soda bread that takes my Irish battles win so Jamie gets on this occasion but I don't
