THE NEXT UNTIL DAWN | The Quarry - Part 1

welcome everybody to the quarry what is essentially a spiritual success or two until dawn uh super massive games made until dawn way back when i absolutely loved that game it was such a fun series to play on the channel and then they released a bunch of other stuff recently uh man of medan lost hope house of ashes and those were shorter more condensed experiences but this is their new game like until dawn which is like massive that they have a set of cast characters and you play with them for like eight nine hours and then we have to try and see if we can keep them alive or what's gonna happen what's haunting them what's in the big bad woods i'm very excited for it because these types of games are so fun for let's plays being able to sit back and relax and just see what happens um full disclosure characters are probably going to die i know that makes people mad here and there that we should be saving them or whatever but i like to play these games just as whatever happens happens if if people die so be it if not great then i've saved everyone and i'm a hero um the game also comes with a movie mode now which is strange it's like watch from a selection of predefined outcomes you don't even have to play the game anymore you can like pick all of these outcomes that you want and then you just watch the game play like a movie that is wild uh but the setting for this one is i kind of wish they just called it until dawn too i don't know why they didn't um basically we're going to hack its quarry which is a summer camp and it's kind of like that 80s vibe slasher horror sort of stuff um i don't know i don't exactly know what's going on in the game because i've tried to keep sort of blind on going into this and not have any spoilers or any sort of setup or anything like that i just know some of the actors that are in it um and i'm hoping something supernatural happens because i loved until dawn the fact that there was wendigos in it and it was also a slasher so maybe they'll do something like that for this one as well who knows david arquette baby that's dewey from scream if you don't know there's a bunch of big names in this one evan never i kind of like that though that you can see the models up close it's really fun she's got little hairs on her ears or maybe it's actually clipping through probably clipping through anyway that's gonna do it for this first episode super fun so far i'm really into it i i can't wait to see what happens next um i don't know i like i like the longer versions of these games the shorter ones things just kind of like fall into each other over and over again and it's hard to kind of get into it because you're out of it as soon as you're like into it with all the characters and stuff just kind of starts happening and it's really quick but these like longer slower bigger ones are always stuff that i'm really interested in and it really feels like um until dawn again the the dialogue is a little corny there's a couple of things they say where it's like kind of like a little eye rolling but i think it's fun i think these types of games are when they lean into that kind of stuff they end up better um if they're trying to be so serious all the time i think it doesn't really work because some of the stuff is a little janky looking like you'll see the eyes kind of like freak out or the hair freaks out or the characters just don't look right so it's a little uncanny valley so if everything was super serious it wouldn't really blend very well but let me know what you guys think uh first episode in let me know if what your theories are obviously don't spoil anything for anybody in the comments because i do want to play this honestly and see what's going on um but yeah let me know what you
