the quarry from the creators of until dawn one of my favorite games of all time nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror but they will have something much worse to deal with the evil youtuber called me kevin known for making the worst choices possible that's me hey there friends how's it going we're gonna ruin some lives let's get started yes my first bad choice i'm just not gonna catch my phone they don't seem that bothered anyway it's not like anyone died yet okay i don't know what this thing on the road is but he is going all over the place wait a second we had a passenger in the back seat we could have taken the carpool lane this whole time now never mind she got out to be honest i would have done the same thing this guy's a lunatic like i know something was in the road but there was no need for that amount of swerving just kill the person and then move on and they can move on too as in like you know they'd be dead so they won't even mind okay would me shining the flashlight in your eyes help you at all with this mess my mom's gonna kill me ah don't worry about that that ghost lady in the car will kill you way before your mom ever sees you again okay how can we get out of this i'm making laps of the car but i don't know what else to do i'm gonna start snooping through his stuff rejected from university oh he's never gonna be able to fix the car now yeah actually if you could just shine a light right here what in your eyes again no problem why am i taking out the letter again i didn't mean to do this i am just judging him once more i've lost my person oh there she is okay i'm back oh there's the creepy lady you're not a mechanic ghost by any chance are you good idea laura so thoughtful of you even the main character here is confused at what i'm doing by walking into these woods and now i've fallen on my ass turret found the fool are you calling me a fool because if so i respect your honesty what the hell a poster for some fortune teller like i'm a bit confused why they'd be advertising for it here it's like in some forest in a dense forest they're like yes this is going to get a lot of foot traffic maybe one person a year this is a prime location oh god whoever's out here is into some kinky stuff they got a straight jacket and some cuffs out here i don't need a fortune teller to know this is bad news i'm gonna leave this here um should i yeah you know what let's follow that weird person okay they walked over this way i think there's some weird hut is this where the fortune teller was is it silence they keep saying because i'm being quiet it's you that isn't being silent with your silence ironically you're breaking the silence with silence oh god i saw her for a second there let's not forget i came down here willingly for no real reason oh my god it's either a ghost or the most overbearing librarian ever i'm within a 17 mile radius of her library and there must be silence oh and there's also some missed quick time events oof that is a knock to the noggin you're not gonna forget in the morning i know there's some roots i'm just going to continue missing them at this point you'd think she is just a blind person running out in the woods oh great now this dude is gone hey hey why are you shouting what are you doing over there oh no way silence what the hell is that it's a librarian dude do you have any books that are overdue come on no no silence dude can you just say she's asking for one thing all right and she's not hurt us yet so can we just be silent oh no we're stuck and we're making a lot of noise and that's one thing that ghost lady really hates in fact that is her one personality trait she doesn't like noise we're safe in the car really we're gonna be okay oh my god some dude's just showing up why would you show up with that face on you does he have blood on his cheek did anyone else see that yeah he has some scratch down there on his neck that's a bit scary he also didn't ask he just kind of went and took a look at her car there's no such thing as the wrong way oh there is i'll show you it's trying to give me a tutorial probably because i've done everything so bad so far and there wasn't really even any opportunity to go bad i've just been smacking into every branch and going to places i shouldn't be all right i'm going to be suspicious to the officer i think that's a good idea as in it's a bad idea so like that that means it's a good idea for me he keeps showing his cut i think it's actually a cry for attention he's like you got any plasters that you can help me out little band-aid keep the car running the cop doesn't believe me i wonder why i just got very skittish instead of saying we swerved off and the roads are bad just what in the hell you are doing all the way out here this late at night we're looking for a fortune teller i'm just going to say we're taking in the sights i'm going to take it by the tone of your voice that you were unaware that this is an open season hunting zone until tomorrow yeah you see you were worried about ghosts but in reality you were just in a very dangerous situation with hunters out in the woods the cop doesn't like my tone well i don't like his judgmental attitude but you know what i'm just gonna keep insisting that we're going to camp it's very important to me okay i just don't understand what the problem ma'am please step out of the vehicle oh for god's sake now we're escalating everything i'm not even gonna reach the horror game i'm just gonna be arrested i'm gonna be locked up for the next 24 hours so we what the hell was that what was that that was the scariest thing of the game so far and his weird look that he's giving the map is the second scariest you see i thought i was smart noticing the cut but it keeps showing us over and over again hold still oh no what is he doing now recoil yeah sure why not look i don't want you touching it i just ran into a branch four times in a row that's it to be honest i think recoiling could be the good situation there like he is weird there's something going on here what if he's just socially awkward like he just saved us pretty much he pulled us out of the woods what if he's just an awkward dude and we're getting all suspicious and judgmental thanks for all your help though back there what is that supposed to mean i don't know i just wanted to get snacky with him and the motel is here okay but we're going here what's there heck it's corey yes we're going straight to the quarry that's what i wanted to do as well okay there's no one at the quarry um maybe that cop was just being nice maybe we should have gone to that motel or maybe i can force my way in here wait is the light on in there there's got to be a way in here surely oh oh interesting angle here i can shine right in is that a luigi board or maybe he just likes drawing on his table oh my god i think i'm the horror element of this game imagine someone was in here and this lifeless person is just switching their flashlight with their cold dead stare staring right in at you just pointing her phone off into the sky like a searchlight she's just not been the same ever since she hit her head on those 17 tree branches oh maybe we can stay in a tree house that sounds awesome or a boat house that sounds awesome or the car park that sounds awesome fun my thoughts exactly i saw a suspicious looking door all the way down here and i kind of want to open it even though it seems like a bad idea but that's the whole point really isn't it oh god the real horror subsidence this whole place is going to collapse on top of me what the hell is that thing oh my god what is in there is it mr hackett yeah it's mr hackett and he's basically the same except he's kind of decrepit hunched over and naked very ghostly too but honestly same old guy you know party gold mr hackett oh no am i gonna get a jump scare here i really don't want to jump scare right now if you wouldn't mind not giving me one thank you very much are we going in all right what's gonna actually be useful here um i'm gonna go with hammer because i don't know how she's going to open it with a hammer here we go this will piss off that silence lady the one thing the one clue i have the silence and i'm like let's break it i'm pretty sure that's going to be important like the whole silence thing it it must be a key surely or maybe i'm just being stupid but anyway i'm busy making this stupid decision right now so i'm not going to think about it be careful there's the worst choices so max i'm really sorry i actually feel a bit bad about this but i gotta go oh my god that is awful it was just leaving him there and i was the one who got us into all of this trouble oh my god oh wait no way that's the police officer isn't it his facial expressions make him really hard to read it's like playing la in the war you're trying to guess what he's up to and his face is just contorting does this look like the goddamn harbinger motel to you but it's weird i feel like they're trying to throw us like maybe he's not actually the bad guy and he just knew that it was all [ __ ] up over here or you know maybe he's just the bad guy because he does seem like a bad guy it takes one to no one you know hello my friend oh my god hello are you the person from the woods we are friends aren't we i guess so i love silence too she seems great no who's not great her cameraman he's getting right up in her grill yeah that's my carrot sorry about that we all know fool when we see one don't we uh yeah oh oh i paused it for a second it's like instagram versus reality reality instagram reality instagram what doesn't kill you will make you stronger i don't know lady i got hit by a car and it certainly didn't make me stronger chapter one hack its quarry forever okay this is taking a turn this isn't a horror game this is a happy game hack it's quiet forever yeah he said the chapter name this is gonna be a happy game you're a bad person yes i am i thought he was talking to me there okay these are our main characters the door i'm gonna go inspect it so i wonder if that part we played is in the past or in the future i'm guessing in the future because it looked a lot more run down or maybe it was just winter i don't know it did look a bit rougher i think damn it i can't go in there they don't want me to lose another character right away i suppose hey what are you uh what are you listening to good to know uh another bad choice made interacting with someone who has earphones in and is taking a moment alone jacob go upstairs jacob get bag caitlyn moves on with her goddamn life [Laughter] i love how you can just keep doing the same thing over and over again so i keep just walking up to her pressing a and he does the same approach like he just doesn't know what he's doing in life every side feels so genuine okay i found a sign and it says it was established in 1953 and it's still going strong today nearly 70 years on okay so it's not that far in the past or present of our last thing because it was 2021 i think because i read his university letter snooping is always the way to go and that book and mug is still there okay so it's very similar time i'm just very confused at the timing of it but it explains why i can go here when last night i couldn't seem to do anything with this area i hate horror oh well that's unfortunate cause you're in one slaughtered by sun rays by jose rodriguez that's pretty much what my playthrough of until dawn and this guy are gonna get on great oh boring jesus i love how uh passive aggressive every character is being with each other right now oh i found a card to be balanced to consume in moderation no okay what did she repeat 73 times jacob go upstairs jacob get back i like how she said it in caveman speak it's actually very memorable to my little caveman brain ah they're here okay they're on the stairs not upstairs well they're on the first stairs so i guess technically they're upstairs you're not telling me the whole truth about you and amari son he just pauses for 10 seconds with this expression and then decides to get hostile first she cleaned the house then she took out the trash then she washed her hands bye bye jake now she's a trash single clean hands ready to mingle everyone is being very mean to this character oh no he's opening his eyes i thought he had either gone to sleep or he was doing a don vito corleone impression i'm gonna make him an offer he can refuse i love this feature of the game you just get these slow-motion little movements and expressions it's like a l'oreal advert except without the hair and a lot more mouth breeding this one's my favorite yet encouraging seize the moment yep let's do that i'm just saying i don't know why you didn't make a move on ryan you should have seized the moment who is ryan who who are we like egging her on to date is it that misunderstood soul under the the building there because if so you should totally go interrupt him and make him take his earphones out total hypothetical but if i was like a huge [ __ ] and i wanted to break down the van so we'd have to spend another night here uh what exactly would i need to do wait we're gonna sabotage our own vehicles so we can try and salvage some relationship here with some of the people already staying this is the butterfly effect we're after some love and i'm gonna get everyone killed because of it will i steal the rotor arm or break the fuel line breaking the fuel line is more permanent but stealing the rotor arm might get me caught which also sounds good i'm gonna break the fuel line there we go all that precious fuel if this is set in current day that is a lot of money squirting out of there jacob what no dude please what is wrong with all of these people i'm not going to catch that by the way sorry when i say all of these people i included me in that hey maybe uh you should have put it in airplane mode good joke not the time no bad joke bad no one like that they keep showing me all these peaceful scenes and it's like it just doesn't feel like a horror game anymore i'm curious what's gonna happen like where's the horror element is she looking at her student loan no it's not even a bad drawing i was thinking maybe that could be the horror element you know she's a really untalented artist and she just won't give up on her dream high five up top no way i'm not gonna get that oh okay i thought she was gonna end up hitting me okay looking at scenic router back to lodge you know seeing a crowd sounds fun so i'll go back to the lodge she's gonna scowl at me even harder look at her emma thinks you're a party pooper well i think emma's gonna die and i'm not gonna save her oh no on god damn it i could run over a person and no one would care but now all everyone hates me in the comments don't they i can see it already they're catches you alone she'll try to turn you into her son or kill you or she'll turn you into her son or she'll just straight up kill you it's not a great story it's not pretty creative or maybe he just wasn't paying attention to the podcast you got to be careful with this stuff man this shit's true it's the most vague story ever and he's like i 100 believe it oh it's mr h i was starting to think part time although we should teach this character that party is p a or t y and not just p a or t because i feel like he nearly blew his opportunity with that first things first nick and abby you go get some firewood uh emma and i will go to the stores for some supplies yay the upbeat music is playing that means they've picked the right decision and partying is way better than hiding inside the lodge oh sweet jesus what is this okay this is just like a real world danger i think he's getting involved with some shady criminals i am pulling the trigger right now by the way i was trying to shoot jacob but it wouldn't let me wait a second that's carl from detroit become human oh my god he's useless without his android he's trying to put his makeup on but he looks awful or maybe it's in fashion because this guy has blood all over him as well does that say hunting season are hunting sea sun because i am not a son of the sea and if he's hunting sea suns then i'm not in danger at all i was hoping you'd come back to me i mean i didn't really have a choice are you going to critique all my choices again will humanity prevail or will we grow ravenous and resort to eating the flesh of the deceased like i saw in that one plane crash movie well if you leave it up to me i'll definitely pick the second one oh he's picking the lock i think i'll kick it instead there we go she loves breaking the two men covered in blood out hunting for csuns because honestly i don't think they're gonna be able to identify that we're not csuns we're we're not even at the sea what are they even hunting here called the safe it's holding a lot of things that are unsafe take fireworks leave fireworks of course we always take fireworks fireworks you just know i'm making terrible decisions but the characters though this is the room where someone got eaten right like i found a body down here when i was playing as the woman so in order for there to be a body there has to be a death yeah okay i'm coming back up oh i damaged the ladder as i was coming up okay that is gonna screw someone over for sure yes we're reading his diary now not only did we disobey his one request to stay inside but now we're reading his diary wait a second laura and max didn't show up those are the people that we were playing as earlier yo my guy toss me the keys uh so you can poke around in chris's private area did you have to call it that no no not another one of these i beefed it everyone is a butterfingers oh the game gave up giving me quick time events that time oh my god what have they found now i think mr h is into heroin you know he's got something going on here these monitors this is the camp okay that's a little bit odd but at the same time i mean it could just be security cameras like a weird hidden room i get it it's kind of a panic room but it doesn't necessarily mean he's evil or anything what was that wait what the hell was that dobby i don't know it was pretty hard to see it was pretty quick okay we got some mail for laura and max here that's not good okay everyone else is heading to the party these two are out on a walk and i'm walking fast so that we have like six feet between us danger falling rocks okay we're going this way then oh i hear them okay i get you love art but i'm just standing here while you draw this whole mountain range could you just take a picture oh do me oh sorry i'm just trying to get this down oh what an awkward moment oh my god it's like evening now the sun is going down she's still drawing uh-oh i think we're being stalked oh my god run what are you gonna that mound of dirt that's a good one hey caitlin guess what mr h is a voyeuristic creep he has hidden cameras everywhere and a secret room well it's not really secret anymore is it yes the whole gang is getting back together i'm assuming this is where things start to go wrong oh there the fireworks you know anything to break the silence that's what i'm really after oh no now there's two of them oh god oh my god they're gonna have a shooting contest for this this is great this is a great idea it'll ruin the silence so um how's your little one-on-one with abby in the woods not good bro she was drawing for five hours and i got attacked by a boar so there was two bores really if you think about it okay so we're in our shooting contest bang bang i thought you were an ultra elite pro marksman yeah with like a rifle oh my god jesus stop pointing the gun at everyone i can't believe i shot like that and i still won because he got disqualified blam you thought this was over whoa oh no she's gonna get the butter pops i worked so hard for that not really though i didn't hit anything [Music] that fade out was a bit ominous i think the watermelon's the bad guy ah here we are relaxing to some royalty-free music you can't beat it am i right your dare comes with a choice excellent i'm good at choices oh is the kiss one of them well definitely kiss dylan they had chemistry you know when he kept going for the gun he loved that [Applause] what was that wait what the hell is this this is such a weird turn she was there to kiss him and they're just making out okay now everyone is pissed off she's just leaving and he's very upset jacob grow up yeah come on jacob something had to happen to split us all up into the woods at night okay now we've entered a horror game i'm just gonna head this she's a goner yeah geez she's oh wait no she's okay just a bit of a chip on her shoulder that's it jacob's having a great time just getting angry out at the lake sitting on the dock while his friends are being eaten out in the woods oh my god i paused it and he's even crying in the menu now this is sad objective reflect on the night so far but you know what instead of that i might end it there
