chaplet with the prayer for divine mercy o greatly merciful god infinite goodness today all mankind calls out from the abyss of its misery to your mercy to your compassion o god and it is with its mighty voice of misery that it cries out gracious god do not reject the prayer of this earth's exiles o lord goodness beyond our understanding who are acquainted with our misery through and through and know that by our own power we cannot ascend to you we implore you anticipate us with your grace and keep on increasing your mercy in us that we may faithfully do your holy will all through our life and at this hour let the omnipotence of your mercy shield us from the darts of our salvation's enemies that we may with confidence as your children await your final coming that day known to you alone and we expect to obtain everything promised us by jesus in spite of all our wretchedness for jesus is our hope through his merciful heart as through an open gate we pass through to heaven amen at this time we are going to invite father bob venetti as we continue to remain in a somber solemn state in with the blessed sacrament as father bob gives us some insight on the beauty of the immaculate heart in the first saturdays and let us keep also during this hour prayers for father seraphim as he continues his battles with his health we ask our lord and especially on this first saturday our mother mary to intercede for him let us take but a moment to pray for those we love and know who are suffering or sick at this time and through the intercession of saint faustina we ask almighty god that you heal all our loved ones of any ills of the mind body or soul and we ask this through christ our lord r almost holy trinity i adore you my god my god i love you in the most blessed sacrament we welcome you to continue to welcome you to join us for our first saturday devotions and reparation for offenses against immaculate heart of mary but it's beautiful that we start the devotions with adoration of the blessed sacrament and with the chaplain divine mercy because all true devotion to our lady will lead to jesus especially jesus and his most sacred heart and the most holy eucharist in fact if we think about the fatima devotions and and not only the devotions the messages and the apparitions let's recall that the year before our lady came the angel of portugal came three times to the children and especially taught them how to adorn a spirit of reparation our lord and the blessed sacrament for the main offenses against him in the blessed sacrament and we know the first friday talks um both father chris and very jason have talked about the sacred heart and how we make reparations especially if considered for instance that love is not loved in the blessed sacrament with the angel prepared the way for the heavenly lady that came to the children in fatima and the devotion to the immaculate heart that god will to do i just want to talk first about one of the apparitions and i know father sarafin talked some last time about as best especially something about one of the apparitions but about the one on june 13th in 1917 remember our lady appeared to the children together six times in 1917 beginning on may 13th and asked them to come each 13th of the month through october now june 13th is a special day in portugal and especially special then when people really kept some of the traditions of the faith because it's a great portuguese and italian saint saint anthony of lisbon also known more popularly as saint anthony of padua and saint anthony a lisbon because he was born in lisbon and grew up in lisbon portugal it was such a big celebration and and there would be even um besides obviously the holy mass special liturgy in our st anthony there would be festivities and things like that and so on that day though um if i recall correctly from things the children who see francisco and jacinta went to the holy mass but they skipped the children's festivities and things they said that they thought it might distract them from being ready for their appointment at the cova with our lady they did they didn't they want to be focused on seeing that heavenly lady again seeing that our lady and so they gathered and they started praying a rosary and there were you know limited number of people but in june you know as the apparitions go on the numbers start really increasing of the people that join them but there's something that lucia asks every time to the heavenly lady what it is it that you want of me and actually this time and a few of the time she started with please tell me madame at least in our english translation what it is that you want to me she's begging this heavenly lady what do you want to me what what a beautiful childlike humble attitude that any time before we go before our lord or anytime we turn to our lady that we come with that attitude instead of giving jesus and mary to listen what we want them to do for us if we start with that though then our prayers what we desire everyone will become more powerful because it will be more united to their hearts and um of course as every time our lady emphasizes i want you come here on the 13th of next month i want you to continue to say the rosary every day she said everything and then she also gave that prayer at the end of the mystery she wants them to pray oh my jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fire of hell lead all souls to heaven especially those who are most in need or those most in need of your mercy depending on the translation he's already teaching them to intercede for the conversion of sinners our lord as far as heaven likes to say so so much that's our lord's greatest desire and so is our lady's greatest desire that souls aren't lost because what christ has done he doesn't want souls and if you remember some of you who know that persons this is when they start asking that question question we all want will you take us to heaven remember you got a 10 year old lucia yeah francisco who's nine at this point and just sent us seven and their greatest desire is to go to heaven well if we couldn't plant that in children's more and more he say to have the greatest desire to be in heaven yes our lady i shall take jacinta and francisco soon but you me to lucia this was also after she said you're gonna have to learn to read and write lucia you will remain a little longer since jesus wishes you to make me known and loved on earth he wishes also for you to establish devotion in the world to my immaculate heart kind of interesting if we look at just from our human minds ulysses will remain a little longer um do you remember when she died she died a little before john paul ii she died in 2005. a little longer okay almost 88 years but a thousand years or like a day in your sight lord in life eternity a little longer of course she asked she wasn't afraid to express to this madam heavenly lady how that kind of like oh but must i remain in the world alone not alone my child our leases and you must not be sad i will be with you always and my immaculate heart will be your comfort in the way which will lead you to god so the second time in that apparition that she refers to her immaculate heart your comfort in way that lead to god and at that moment her hands open up and she transmitted to us for the second time the reflection of that intense light in which we felt submerged to god and if you want far seraph and talk some about that light last time and the january first saturdays you can go he has some beautiful insights into that and she also though they also seen a little bit about the offenses in front of the palm of our lady's right hand was a heart and circle with thorns which appeared to pierce it we understood it was the immaculate heart of mary offended by the sins of mankind craving reparation it's interesting um in our liturgy of the church that we just celebrated on february 2nd the presentation of our our lord that we already had a foreshadowing of the piercing of her hearts remember simeon's the elderly man so he delighted that now he has seen the salvation that he knew the holy spirit promised this child jesus but then he turns to to the joseph and mary and then says to mary after blessing them um and this child is going to be a sign of contradiction fall and rising of many and you too a sword will pierce to our lady that this child who's all love and mercy many will reject him it's going that's what pierces our lady's heart most the rejection of the offer of god's infinite love and mercy that psalm will do it up to the very last hour that's why the lord tells us also to pray so much for souls dying he doesn't want anybody to be lost and yet somehow we with our acts of reparation or our prayers or devotions can assist souls in accepting the grace of god's mercy but before talking a little bit about the first saturday devotion that would later be revealed to sister lucia after the other two children had went to heavenly glory and lucia was a convent i think it's key when we talk about things like the immaculate heart of mary to take her out of jesus that we understand them more deeply and see how these devotions don't come out of the air so to speak these devotions point to something about the persons of jesus and mary and they point to something even if there's some things in the devotion might seem new they point to something that's already contained in the gospel yeah like dr roberts zach will talk about that um divine mercy is the heart of gospel so even before jesus comes as the divine mercy devastating he is the divine mercy but what about the immaculate heart of mary and how to think also in devotions in in um pope benedict even when he was cardinal ratzinger um would was saying how much devotions have to also have an intimate collection to the literacy they have to bring us to him or flow from the liturgy and so how do these devotions to the immaculate heart how do they relate to energy well one of the best ways is to look at some of the prayers of the church liturgy have mayor we have me um most of the days the priest does the math from what we call the roman missal the bigger missile but the church also has what's called a marian missile for special masses in honor of our lady and it has all the regular parts of mass but it has special prayers on some aspect of our lady and there's about 50 masses in here on different things about our lady you know mary queen and mother of mercy one of the favorite hairs for americans being that this providence is under their lady or queen of my mercy but there's a mass in honor of the immaculate heart of the blessed virgin mary in it and one of the key things here i love this one paragraph about is what's the meaning of the heart of the virgin here's what it says the meaning of the heart of virgin is to be understood in a biblical sense it donates dona denotes sorry about me it denotes the person of the blessed virgin herself god knows we need symbols we need human realities to point us to something about so the sacred heart the iraqi heart but it the knows the person itself it gets us into the very center of the person her intimate and unique being the center and source of her interior life of her mind and memory of her will and love the single-mindedness with which she loved god and the disciples and devoted herself wholeheartedly to the saving work of her son that we as we enter more into our lady's person into her immaculate heart she was trying to form the children and wants to form us to have that single-mindedness with which we love god and his disciples love all the members of the church even the wicked ones and desire that all become his disciples and devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the saving work of her son jesus the divine mercy see every mass that the church has in honor of our lady points points to the most holy trinity points to the saving work of christ but is meant to open us up more to receive the means of salvation that immaculate heart though the word immaculate we know is completely without stain of sin all pure holy nothing implementing the flow of god's grace don't we desire to have more of that to ask the lord to give the lord permission remove whatever is impeding the flow of your grace whatever is not pure in me not ever is not seeking wholeheartedly your will lord and in that in the prayer for that mass among other things it says lord our god you made the immaculate heart of the blessed virgin mary the home of your eternal word the home and the sanctuary of the holy spirit but we pray that that the lord give us a heart that is free from sin and attentive to his will that faithful to your commandments we may love you above all things and seek to help others in their need through our lord jesus christ and the holy spirit that again again things about our lady point to god to the workings of christ and the working of the holy spirit it even goes on to later ask that we follow her example we may faithfully cherish and continually ponder the riches of grace that we owe to your son what about if we pray the rosary and think about that faithfully cherish and continually ponder the riches of grace that we owe to her son jesus or even as we are asking her to help us enter into the mass more or pray in the chaplet faithfully cherish and continually ponder the riches of grace that we owe to your son and later it says that we may glory in the fullness of your grace and experience its continued increase for our salvation so the mass about the immaculate heart of mary is for us to continually ponder the graces given to us by jesus and help us to increase in grace and experience more fully to give the salvation that's what our lady wants to teach us to do remember that line from scripture actually there's couple times when it says things something like this mary kept all these things pondering them in her heart like when the shepherds came to visit the christ child and and said what the angel said this is this is the messiah and mary's pondering them it's it's like mary immaculately conceived full of grace full of the holy spirit did not understand everything instantly especially regarding the mystery of jesus and his work of salvation but she pondered she reflected on jesus his person his words his actions to understand more deeply what god is doing through christ and better fully respond to god's will for her life and to cooperate wholeheartedly in his work of salvation so that not only mary but we can proclaim with her my soul proclaims the greatness of the lord my spirit rejoices in god my savior her greatest desire to share that joy of rejoicing in god our savior her greatest desire is to bring us her sons and daughters into an intimate union with our heavenly father through our lord jesus christ of divine mercy the power of the holy spirit almost holy trinity i adore you my god my god i love you in the most blessed sacrament so we can see that our lady and she's you know like like i said in that episode it wasn't she's just doing the will of god jesus wishes to make me known and loved on earth he wishes to establish devotion in the world to my immaculate heart and again the next month she comes and she says that she remember the next month where they had that shocking vision of the souls in hell that made its children scream and people are wondering what's happening and our lady said you have just seen where hell where the souls of sinners go to save them god wishes to establish in the world devotion to my immaculate heart god didn't show them that to throw them into terror but to use them as instruments of salvation but she said if you do what i tell you many souls will be saved and there will be peace and we know this message was meant not just for them for others if we do what our lady our heavenly matter tells us man souls will be saved and there will be peace pray to rosary every day have true devotion to the immaculate heart of mary a great love for jesus in the most blessed sacrament pray the rosary every day why because it's uniting to mary's powerful intercession and it's christ-centered saint john paul ii made that clear over and over again you know there was once a question that literally just debated about whether you can pray the rosary during adoration of the blessed sacrament because you know us we're keep praying you know we yes we pray our father glory be but we're praying to our lady and you know it's like and actually the vatican says yes it's christ centered what are we doing we're pondering as john paul ii complain the face and heart of christ through the eyes of mary we're treasure in our heart the memory of the words and these belonging to the mystery of salvation through jesus christ divine mercy we are recalling that jesus christ and we've heard it in some of our readings during the daily masses lately from hebrews jesus christ a great high priest lives forever to receive for us he is the same yesterday today and forever therefore as we ponder these things we're opening ourselves up to receive the same grace and mercy that jesus gave as he walked onto the earth and still does through the blessed sacrament and through the seconds we're pondering and so we can with mary rejoice in god our savior asking for the grace to become more christ-like more mary-like imitating the divine child jesus and the beloved daughter of the heavenly father our mother mary praying that and even saint paul says in ephesians that god wants to create an immaculate heart in all of us he wants the church to be holy and immaculate we know we're so far from it and we're never going to get to a level or a lady but we gotta pray that we become the home of the eternal word which we do especially when we receive jesus in the eucharist or make a spiritual communion that desire increase our desire when we become a sanctuary of the holy spirit when we really ask the holy spirit you live you act in me when we have a heart that is free from sin or at least hate sin you know when you have a heart like our lady when our heart marries immaculate heart the reason things pierce her heart is because she knows how ugly sin is how much in gratitude is to god who is all good and loving and merciful but we but not throw us into despair but then to pray as we did right before here pray the chaplet have mercy on us in the whole world that we want to follow the lord and our lady that we faithfully cherish and continually ponder the riches of grace that we yield to jesus also in ephesians chapter one that i refer to saint paul says that every spiritual blessing in the heavens is available to us in christ think about after the children after um our the angel appeared to him three times our lady one time what was the desire heaven heaven but there also there was a desire was to to but it to be god's time and will i mean um as some have very openly explained about like the beautiful thing about sister jacinta a saint jacinta who died shortly before her 10th birthday that apparently um one time you know when she's really suffering from the spanish flu and she suffered really bad but she offered it up and then apparently our lady said to her well you want to go have an hour do you want to suffer more for souls and she chose to suffer more for souls and um and the sister who is possibly for a cause also said that when she told it to um lucia she saw it joyfully like i chose to suffer more for salt not to brag but she was like you know hey i can help save more souls because he knew every spiritual blessing in the heavens is available to us in christ every spiritual blessing in heaven is available to us even now on earth in their souls heaven was living through the light god and their souls as far as serpent talked about beautifully that in so many ways through our lady every spiritual blessing but think about the blessings graces available to us through the first saturday devotions so when we think about these you know sometimes it's yeah i'm as gilly as anyone we can go through the devotions and it's almost like a habit and our heart really is not into it we know it's good for us so we do it and it's better than not doing it but when we really appreciate more of it then we desire to do it more with our heart we can have a greater effect when we desire to share it more with others god wishes to establish the devotion to immaculate heart of mary so that souls may be safe now we go just want to talk a little bit about that the when because our lady talks about this devotion doesn't give them all the aspects to the children during the apparitions you know obviously again praying to rosa every day was part of it but when it was revealed further to sister lucia on december 10 1925 in a convent after the two little ones had gone to the lord and our lady here's how she writes about that on this day our lady holding her immaculate heart in her hand appeared and by her side stood the child jesus on a luminous cloud the child jesus said look our child jesus is the first who spoke have compassion on the heart of your most holy mother covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them jesus is asking for this and then our lady said to her look my daughter look my daughter see my daughter words of love to her at my heart surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce me at every moment by their blasphemies and in gratitude i'm not going to talk about the the various five blasphemies that we particular to relate but but but think about our understanding of our lady our understanding of our lord who they are the doctrine church it matter if has an effect on how we live it has matters because among other things these blasphemies and in gratitude against our lady discouraged so many souls from turning to our lady's powerful intercession and so that could have been saved because he would led them to jesus or lost because ours are turning them away from our lady leading them to jesus now we see how diabolical it is the blasphemies and in gratitude but but she said and remember my daughter you at least try to console me and say that i promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who are on the first saturday of five consecutive months now yeah you at least you know we can't change everything everyone else does but you at least try to control me it's in the promise to assist at the hour of death with the grace is necessary for salvation again as father chris was talking about first friday i mean it kind of seems to me a no-brainer don't you want the grace is necessary for salvation don't you want people you care about to know about this message too that they would have that the craziness they're from that so to on five consecutive months do the following one confess two receive holy communion three recite five decades of the rosary and four keep me company for 15 minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the rosary with the intention of making reparation to me so we have that tension we at least have it as a general intention even if we forget at the moment that that's intentional reparation and and i know if our chris has talked about many times reminding you about you know rk i mean because we know many of you are like i can't get to confession i'd love to get the convention i'd love to get i wish i was close enough to the shrine where you guys have confessions and we see every first friday and saturday of the month thankfully confessions increase because there are people who want to do these devotions i wish i could receive communion and so that's why chris was telling you and it's based on teaching the church it's stuff that pope francis has also reminded us that if when we're really legitimately impeded due to sickness to through our church is not being open in many places we do what the church says we make we make the best acting construction we can we tell his performance says heavenly father i did this this this i'm sorry i i promise you i will get to confession when i can you have to have that active resolution too to get to confessions it's not just well you know we have to have the desire to the next week we too we make those those acts of spiritual communion hopefully every day and and until we can receive the lord in the eucharist and if we have that heart so open you know and father chris did a video on the great receiving graces during the pandemic so there's so so much here but confession holy communion even for now right now is those spiritual acts with that longing that desire recite five decades of the rosary i hope none of us out there are just just doing that on first saturday okay that's where been on but remember our lady asked for the rosary every day and the children believed that if they prayed the rosary every day world war one would end can you imagine that pray the rosary every day and the war will end she told them and they believed it that's the faith that can move mountains that's a faith that can work miracles but think about it if we all do that how powerful that can be and keep me company for 15 minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the rosary with the intention of making reparation of me look at how this heavenly lady our mother where's it so so touching keep me company keep me company or spend time meditating and ask me to help you to continually ponder and treasure the riches of grace available to my through my son our lady our mother of mercy our spiritual god and remember the confession the honest acts of contrition until we can get confession it creates more and more pure heart in us so then we don't have all this stuff that is blocking the flow of grace and mercy communion because it is the encounter with christ par exodus the source and summit at least one of the children i can't remember at this time i think i've heard it different ways to send to our francisco because they want to just visit the hidden jesus in the tabernacle and you know people would still like be bothering them all they would sometimes hide behind a lecter until they could spend time with jesus in the eucharist hidden away in the tabernacle or where we have the beauty of him in adoration if we really appreciate the gift of the eucharist and the gift of the rosary complaining face and heart of christ through mary's immaculate heart keep me company our lady i think also in that keep me company meditating is trying to teach us that to really build up our spiritual life we have to have some meditation and reflection on it maybe on the word of the scripture for the day or on something or maybe just one mystery of the rosary we want to keep meditating on or whatever and asking our lady to reel deeper the gospels the mysteries of christ and that he lives forever to receive for us and she with him and the mystery of christ's action in our lives and souls when we come to him with that add to lucia what do you want of me because if he wants it of us he will give us the grace and the mercy to do it recall the first public miracle jesus the wedding at cana was when our lady interceded but sometimes we think about the miracle of the water being changed to wine and all that but the last verse of that gospel is and his disciples began to believe in him they were already starting to follow jesus so they had some belief in him they're thinking he's the messiah or some might be even convinced but they start believing deeper in him they start coming closer and closer to that that easter proclamation so called downing thomas who made that beautiful proclamation my lord and my god my lord and my god let's ask our lady that the church experienced that new pentecost that john paul ii so prayed for and learn as the early church and church throughout the centuries have kept company with our blessed mother praying with her learning deeper faith hope and love learning to really trust jesus learning to have a childlike heart a receptive heart like our lady that overflows into devotion of love of neighbor especially love desire to cooperate with jesus and mary and the ongoing desire of the salvation of souls for god desires devotion to the immaculate heart of mary it's for our good and for the good of the world and if we answer our lady's call that's really the call of god we have the promise not only of our salvation but the salvation of many souls and that true peace will eventually come so create a clean heart in us all the lord help us to enter more deeply into the sacred eucharistic heart of jesus through the immaculate heart of mary so that we may on first saturdays and always keep company with her follow her example and faithfully cherish and continually ponder the riches of grace that we owe to our lord jesus christ the son of god the son of mary the divine mercy [Music] we give thanks to father bob for that beautiful reflection in this amazing grace our lord gives us through our blessed mother at this time we will now begin to fulfill the devotional requirements that our lady asked of us at fatima which will include an act of contrition if you have not been able to get to confession an act of spiritual communion if you've not been able to receive holy communion and we will then recite the rosary to be able to then finish with 15 minutes of meditation on those rosaries but beautifully father bob brought up the message at fatima including the angel let us now show on the screen the prayers of fatima starting with the pardon prayer we'll do the angel's prayer the eucharistic prayer the sacrifice prayer and the decade prayer these are the prayers from fatima that help to unite us as we enter in to the immaculate heart of mary let us begin with the pardoned prayer in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen and we pray this three times my god i believe i adore i hope and i love thee and i beg pardon for those who do not believe do not adore do not hope and do not love thee my god i believe i adore i hope and i love thee i beg pardon for those who do not believe do not adore do not hope and do not love thee my god i believe i adore i hope and i love thee and i beg pardon for those who do not believe do not adore do not hope and do not love thee let us now pray the angel's prayer as given at fatima o most holy trinity father son and holy spirit i adore thee profoundly i offer thee the most precious body blood soul and divinity of jesus christ present in all the tabernacles tabernacles of the world in reparation for the outrages sacrileges and indifference by which he is offended by the infinite merits of the sacred heart of jesus and the immaculate heart of mary i beg the conversion of poor sinners let us pray the eucharistic prayer most holy trinity i adore thee my god my god i love thee in the most blessed sacrament let us pray the sacrifice prayer jesus it is for love of you for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins committed against the immaculate heart of mary let us pray the decade prayer o my jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen we now at this time would like to enter in the most holy rosary we marians have been praying this here at the shrine as we've continued our adoration during the three o'clock hour and we are blessed to have you with us for this rosary today we will pray the joyful mysteries and at the end of the recitation of the rosary i will lead us in a meditation but prior to doing this and the rosary to fulfill these obligations let us make an act of contrition and an act of spiritual communion the act of contrition oh my god i am heartily sorry for having offended thee and i detest all my sins because of your just punishments but most of all because they offend you my lord who are all good and deserving of all my love i firmly resolve with the help of your grace to sin no more to do my penance and to avoid the near occasion of sin amen we will also have brother mark place on the screen an act of spiritual communion and thanksgiving if you have not been able to get to confession that act of contrition that we just did as father bob mentioned will suffice for the forgiveness of sins the catechism tells us in 1452 even mortal sins if we have the intention to return to the sacrament as soon as possible now if you've been able to receive holy communion this is a blessing and a grace but if you have not due to close churches or to sickness or quarantine please do not despair the prayer of this spiritual communion we beg god to give us the graces as if we did receive him sacramentally because his father bob has pointed out god is not constrained by the sacraments we are but yet our lord knows our situation let us begin the prayer of a spiritual act of communion in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen my dearest jesus i believe that you are present in the most holy sacrament i love you above all things and i desire to receive you into my soul since i cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally come at least spiritually into my heart i embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself holy to you never permit me to be separated from you amen having taken our lady's request of confession and communion to heart we now pray the rosary followed by a brief meditation the joyful mysteries in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb jesus o clement o loving o sweet virgin mary pray for us the most holy mother of god he may be made worthy of the promises of christ let us pray oh god whose only begotten son is life death and resurrection as purchase for us the rewards of eternal life grant we beseech thee that while meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary we may imitate what they command command and imitate what they promise through the same christ our lord amen saint michael the archangel our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil may god rebuke him we humbly pray and a prince of the heavenly host by the power of god cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the rune of souls amen may the divine assistance remain always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of god rest in peace amen as we will shortly conclude this day of first saturdays before we do our reflection our 15-minute meditation as requested by our blessed mother we're going to put the words onto the screen for the act of consecration to the immaculate heart of mary let us take but a moment and open our hearts that they may receive the grace from the most sacred heart of jesus by entrusting ourselves to the immaculate heart of mary let us begin the solemn act of consecration to the immaculate heart of mary and you may follow with us on your screen as the words of the prayer are presented in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen most holy virgin mary tender mother of men to fulfill the desires of the sacred heart of jesus and the request of the vicar of your son on earth today we consecrate ourselves our families our communities our land and our entire nation to your sorrowful and immaculate heart o queen of the most holy rosary we recommend to you all the people of our country and all the world please accept our consecration dearest mother mary immaculate and use us as you wish to accomplish your designs in the world o sorrowful and immaculate heart of mary queen of the most holy rosary and queen of the world rule over us together with the sacred heart of jesus christ our king save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism and falsehood kindle in our hearts homes families communities and all people throughout our beautiful nation the love of purity the practice of a virtuous life an ardent zeal for souls and a desire to pray the rosary ever more faithfully every day we come with confidence to you o throne of grace and mother of fair love inflame us with the same divine fire which has inflamed your own sorrowful and immaculate heart make our hearts and homes your shrine and through us make the heart of jesus together with yours rule and triumph in every heart and home amen o mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee our lady of guadalupe patroness of the americas pray for us mary immaculate queen of all nations pray for us and we will do one final prayer before we put forward the meditation to fulfill the obligation of this first saturday and that is this year is the year of saint joseph and in the year to saint joseph we have a prayer that we would like to you to stay with us it is a prayer to saint joseph not long but since so many will be consecrating themselves to the head of the holy family and this being the year of saint joseph we would like to ask for his intercession as the spouse of mary immaculate to ask for his prayers to help us let us now do a prayer to saint joseph to you o blessed joseph do we come in our tribulation and having implored the help of your most holy spouse we confidently invoke your patronage also through the charity which bound you to the immaculate virgin mother of god and through the paternal love with which you embrace the child jesus we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which jesus christ has purchased by his blood and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities o most watchful guardian of the holy family defend the chosen child children of jesus to defend the chosen children of jesus christ o most loving father ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence o our most mighty protector be king to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness as once you rescued the child jesus from deadly peril so now protect god's holy church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity shield to each one of us by your constant protection so that supported by your example and your aid we may be able to live piously to die in holiness and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven amen let us now take but of brief moment to adore our lord in the most blessed sacrament and ask for mary's intercession to give ourselves and trust entrust ourselves to her most immaculate heart that will lead us to the most sacred heart as we heard in father bob's beautiful talk the requirements for the fulfillment of the most sacr excuse me the immaculate heart of reparation and fulfillment of the five first saturdays we're hoping we have completed and will now complete with the last of the requests as father bob pointed out our lady asked should to summarize one last time that we go on every first saturday for five consecutive saturdays to confession if again you are unable you are quarantined sick or your church is closed as we pointed out the catechism states that we can make an act of contrition we did that together here if you were not tuned in yet just make an act of contrition from your heart just telling god that you are sorry for your sins and we are told that we will be forgiven as long as we have the intent to return to the sacrament as soon as possible the second requirement or request is that we go to holy communion here if you are able to receive at your local parish this is best yes a visual mass tonight suffices or any mass actually also on sunday if you are able to make it to mass even on sunday it fulfills this request according to the church if you are unable we did hear a spiritual act of communion if you missed it you can watch the tape or you can just from your heart ask god to be able to give you the graces if you did receive him in the most blessed sacrament third our lady asked that we pray the rosary we just prayed the rosary the joyful mysteries and so now we finish with fulfilling these requests with 15 minutes of meditation where we will pray and meditate on the last two of the joyful mysteries the presentation of the child jesus in the temple and the finding of the child jesus remember all of this is to make reparation for the blasphemies of our lady to her immaculate heart those blasphemies are against her divine maternity not believing that mary is truly the mother of god they are blasphemies against her immaculate conception that she is not immaculately conceived they are blasphemies against her perpetual virginity they are blasphemies from those who turn children against our mother and their mother and finally they are blasphemies against those who revile her in the sacred statues the purpose that our lord allowed this special devotion was for a reparation to her immaculate heart for those blasphemies so what do you do when you do that contrition act of contrition or confession you offer it up for that intention and same with holy communion or spiritual act of communion you make it for the intention of reparation to the immaculate heart of mary now god be praised it's five o'clock so all of you who are tuning in looking for the most holy rosary it was just put on my heart that god trapped you and i say that with a huge smile because we know that you tune in at five o'clock for the rosary but most of you and i don't think all but most of you may do the rosary but not aware of the meditation that goes along with it you are now here with us live at five o'clock expecting the rosary as we were praying at the lord filled my heart with a grace that i haven't felt in a long time that he's did this orchestrated because i did a blunder today we have moved our prayers here at the shrine our private prayers of the brothers up to 4 45. we begin the rosary at 4 15 and evening prayer at 4 45 my superiors were expecting me to finish this evening at 4 45. i made a blunder because our evening prayers used to be at 5 30. so i expected this and announced this evening to go to 5 30. well god be praised because what ended up happening was my we got the permission to continue the day of prayer but yet the rosary had to be done a little earlier so those of you who have prayed it already god bless you but if you missed it you can still pray it but you are now able to join us for the meditation which is the fourth request of our lady isn't that incredible so our lady is saying i'm going to bring many people here and these are good hearts so they're not offended they're not mad they're coming and now they will pray the meditation that they may not have prayed so now you can join us for that meditation and either pray the rosary on your own or we will broadcast our seminarians praying the rosary after this when brother mark will be able to set up the streaming cameras and the and the broadcast of the prayers with our seminarians so if you just hang on with us that'll be right after benediction my heart is filled with joy because i think we brought many more thousands here that may not have prayed the meditation otherwise so join us now for 15 minutes as we pray the meditation on the mysteries that our lady asked us to do to keep her company for simply 15 minutes today we will meditate for 15 minutes on the presentation of the child jesus in the temple in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen and after the days of her purification were accomplished they carried him to jerusalem to present him to the lord and to offer a sacrifice as it is written in the law of the lord a pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons and simeon took the child into his arms and blessed god and said my eyes have seen thy salvation and simeon bless them and said to mary his mother behold this child is set for the fall and for the resurrection of many in israel and for a sign which shall be contradicted and thy own soul a sword shall pierce that out of many hearts thoughts may be revealed that is the most sorrowful immaculate heart of mary it just tells us in this meditation that our heart is pierced this is why we are here to make reparation to that pierced heart to make reparation against the blasphemies to her immaculate heart this is what simeon is talking about that a sword shall pierce her heart let us help make reparation for that wound and those wounds in this mystery mary brings the grace of holy joy to the aged simeon and the additional grace of a happy death we know this from the words he spoke now thou dost diminish thy servant o lord according to thy word in peace because my eyes have seen the salvation which thou hast prepared before the face of all the peoples the light of the revelation to the gentiles and the glory of thy people israel picture the scene a lovely mother of unearthly beauty coming up the steps of the temple at jerusalem tenderly holding in her arms a tiny baby and sheltering the little one from every harmful breeze and blinding sunray the old man simeon had received assurance from the holy spirit that he would not die until he looked upon the desired upon the desired of the nations and now he recognized in mary's arms the redeemer of the world simeon took the infant into his arms and sang in the wavering voice of old age his nank demetis now thou dost amist thy servant o lord all around him in the temple heard simeon's acknowledgement that this was the savior for whom they were waiting many listened to all of this she who was being obedient to a law that did not bind her as the mother of god through this act of obedience she won the grace that she communicated to simeon and he tottering on the brink of the grave receive that grace of a holy death after looking upon the face of the son of god what joy and happiness he received through the hands of mary we can learn many lessons from this mystery first of all we see how closely united is our lady with every instance in the life of her son remember this is what the rosary is the rosary is not a bunch of hail mary's the rosary is the mysteries of the life of christ meditation on the scriptural events that took place in jesus's life the rosary with the hail mary's are background music providing us that beautiful way to engage deeper into the plot of those mysteries in this mystery we continue as mary worked also in closest collaboration with the holy spirit following every inspiration with the greatest perfection secondly she is ever interested in bringing happiness to souls and giving christ to all the young as well as the old thirdly we see in the mystery the reward of a blessed life coming to a close at the end of a well-spent life in the service of god simeon lived for god only and spent much of his time in the temple of jerusalem his thoughts were ever on the messiah and so great was his longing to seek christ in the flesh that the holy spirit acquiesced to his prayers a great privilege according to him in return for his many years of faithful service if we live for christ and really sincerely appreciate our holy religion mary will reveal christ ever more and more to us in the temple in our temple in our churches where the same christ ever abides in our tabernacles and becomes actually present during the holy sacrifice of the mass loving fidelity to the eucharistic christ and to our lady of the blessed sacrament will bring through mary's intercession her divine son to us on our deathbed as she practically did for simeon we must return for christ as yearn for christ as simeon did and practice devotion to the blessed sacrament if we dare hope for the same reward as his that is a beautiful meditation on the fourth mystery of the joyful mysteries of the rosary as we continue our fulfillment of this first saturday devotion we must continue for 15 minutes with this meditation keeping our lady company let us now meditate on the fifth joyful mystery finding the child jesus in the temple and it came to pass that after three days she found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors listening to them and asking them questions and all that heard him were astonished at his wisdom and his answers and he went down with mary and joseph and came to nazareth and was obedient to them and mary his mother kept all these words in her heart in this mystery mary and joseph find at the close the first day's return journey from jerusalem that jesus is missing you know i once got an interesting letter and it was unlike when i had ever gotten and a woman had said she was always perplexed how could mary and joseph lose jesus i'm sure we've all thought of this at one time or another how could mary so perfect how could joseph so responsible lose jesus they didn't really you see at that time this society was such one of it took a village to raise a child they were so united with one another who traveled together family friends neighbors loved ones that they took care of one another like they were family many times we used to know from years back when i was even a child my neighbors took care of me like they were my parents my mom never worried about me because she knew i must be at steve's house or nick's house or bob's house she knew the lovingness that they showed me as a family i think you can say jesus was not forgotten but he was loved so mary and joseph i think in my opinion didn't worry that he wasn't being taken care of because traveling with them was such close-knit friends and family that they took care of each other like they were their own so that when mary and joseph though did discover that he was not with their friends and family they immediately sought to find him now we see mary's heart pained like any good mother at the thought that he was not there let us also make reparation for these little pains or we could say great pains that our lady's heart endured it was customary in those days for the men to travel together in one group and the women in another the children might travel with either so mary and joseph each had reason to think that the child was safe in the other group i didn't read ahead on this honestly i just just now reading that at least i'm glad that my inspiration was relatively correct at that evening encampment when all met for the night's rest imagine the sadness that filled their souls when they discovered that they could not find jesus grief-stricken and with heavy hearts they retraced their steps back to the holy city back to the temple they inquired questioned searched and hoped against hope for the smallest clue but all seemed to be in vain arriving at jerusalem for the first thought was of the temple and there to their astonishment and awe they saw the holy child calmly seated in the midst of the learned rabbis and scholarly doctors of the law masterfully and artfully listening to them and asking them questions in a burst of motherly concern mary questions son why hast thou done this to us behold thy father and i have sought thee sorrowing notice the exquisite courtesy of mary putting saint joseph the foster father of jesus first how natural was this spontaneous reproach from a loving mother's aching heart any mother whose blood had formed and fashioned her child any woman in whose heart burns the flame of a maternal protective love would have said the same thing as mary did the true mother of this child who was god and the son loving her more than any son ever loved a mother answered how is it that you sought me did you not know that i must be about my father's business the rest of the dramatic incident is too rich in meaning to admit omit and he went down with them to nazareth and was subject to them and his mother kept all these words in her heart one can hardly restrain the stream of lessons that gushed forth from this fifth mystery of the rosary mary lost jesus through no fault of her own for some 48 hours and life was practically unbearable for her she sought him in sorrow and you maliciously and guilty and premeditatedly you lose jesus through deliberate sin with eyes wide open you miss mass on sunday you disobey god's commandments and law of love maybe fall into suggestive stories or use bodies for impure purposes look upon unchaste and movies or pictures or perhaps blaspheme or gossip or slander or scandalize others or turn away from god in his love let us not despair if we have done those things in the past we can now turn back to god turn back to jesus through the help of mary we go to confession for those things we get them forgiven and we turn back to our lord how beautiful god's mercy how for forgetful he wants to be of our sins if we have done those things that is written here in this meditation despair not go to confession ask our lord's forgiveness and they are gone have mary help you in that process and we will find a scripture says our lord there is no question of repentance or sorrow we come before you lord in confession we confess giving up what we need to detach could it be a bad companion or bad habits we ask lord to remove those from our hearts and our lives we want to seek you jesus as mary did perhaps as sorrowful what a difference between mary and you her child where did mary find jesus in the temple carrying on his work of instructing others in the ways of god where can you find jesus in the same place thereto you will find jesus and the serenity and security of a sincere and contrite confession in the peace and joy of a good conscience in the ecstasy and fervor of a devout holy communion what was jesus doing he was enlightening others in the way of god you will find jesus doing the same in your visits to the blessed sacrament in your attendance at holy mass in your reception of him in holy communion his concern is ever to enlighten your mind on the things of god for he knows that the more knowledge you have of him and his kingdom the more keenly and ardently you will love him the desire to serve him and to visit him that my friends is the reason we mary and fathers continue to strive these livestreams to strive to bring them to you to teach you more and more about jesus so you can love him more and more our lady teaches us another lesson she found life unbearable without jesus holy presence and so having found him she took him and with her and there at nazareth for 18 blissful years she never let jesus out of her sight and you do you find life unbearable without jesus do you take them with you to your homes to your places of business to your parties and dances do you try to live jesus by your patient practice of charity in the family by giving good example by exercising patience towards your associates can people say of you as one man said after seeing the curie of ours i have seen god today in a man can people say of us as they said of the little girl in france jesus is in her eyes can people say of you as one wife said of her husband his soul is like a cathedral in which there is held constant exposition of the blessed sacrament can people say why the members of that family would miss mass could people say that you individually have heard anything that is not but to love of god it's a stressful challenge every day to be like christ but this is our hope that with mary's help we can overcome these challenges we can overcome these hardships and these tendencies of concupiscence you know mary gives us a hope through someone as dear to us as our mother and to bring us to her son this was the spirit between white seemed as christ when he said do you know that i must be about my father's business yes we too lord jesus need to be about your business and the business of the father we thank you mary immaculate for calling us to this time of meditation to keeping us with you and that we could keep you company and console your heart for the many sins and gratitude and blasphemies uttered against you please help us to love jesus more every day and to fulfill god's plan for our lives thank you blessed mother we love you now we finish with benediction as we pray hail mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen
