story but i had a story for sabba school this morning but i didn't have a chance to share it because i had no kids online but and it's a very interesting story so i wanted to take this time to share it with the little ones have you ever dropped something by accident yeah i see zachary nodding his head and were you scared that mom or dad were going to be mad at you what did you do run away now you picked it up that's a true you have to tell you have to say that i did something wrong and i did it by accident so today we're going to talk about someone who did something very very bad but it was by accident his name is jared so he was helping his friend build a house and he had an ax in his hand when he lifted it the ax came out and it went and hurt his friend's face it was a very big one and actually he died the friend died back in the day when someone was killed it was a life for a life so jared panicked he started running around he was like scared he was like when when the family of the person who died shows up they would definitely want to take his life because a life for a life that was the law back then so jared started thinking what should i do what should i do and then he remembered city of refuge before moses died he had left and made a plan that god had told him that you should build six cities in israel that will be cities of refuge for others so that if anything happens that was an accident people can go to those cities and seek refuge until a trial is held and they are found aren't guilty by because it's an accident and they can be released or they can stay in those cities forever so jared started running the moment he realized that and the roads to these cities actually were kept very well there were signs all over the place saying refuge go this way refuge go this way right so he started running he started running and then all of a sudden he saw at the back the family of the one who died they were following him oh he was scared he picked up his face started running continue running running very hard and then all of a sudden he could see the wall there he saw the wall and he was approaching it i can't make it i can make it and then his gate and he saw the priests that were waiting for him right outside there and the moment he reached there he collapsed in there and he was so tired he's like thank god i have reached the city of refuge so these days what is chasing us what is the bad things that are chasing us in the devil is always right behind us and he wants to get to us right first peter 5 8 it actually talks about the devil is going around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour and we run to to god and god is our refuge we seek safety into his house and his house is the church right so right now what are those cities of refuge what is the city of refuge nowadays yes zachary it's the church right we seek safety in the hands of god that's our little story for today well just close our eyes and say a prayer thank you jesus for providing us safety into your church oh lord we thank you for the children in this church and those online we pray that you'll continue guiding us through it all in jesus name i help comes from the lord who made heaven and earth he will not allow he will not allow you your foot to be moved he will keep you he who keeps you will not slumber behold he keeps israel shall never shall neither slumber nor sleep here ends the reading of the lord's word good morning again church our speaker today is no stranger to us he's one of our members here one of our elder elder and desi and his sermon topic is still holding on so at this time let us give our attention to what elder enderz has to give to us from the lord our savior jesus christ for our song of meditation we will sing dearest friend [Music] it is a sinner saved by grace chosen to speak to you this morning and i made the arrangement with the audio visual team to play as a song before i speak and i hope they are working on it and the lord is gonna lead us through and the lord [Music] so [Music] [Music] make it over again but i know a [Music] and man can't take a soul that's in sick make it wider than snow but i know a man who cares [Music] [Music] [Applause] of man but i call him jesus for he's my dearest [Music] he made sure all the powerpoint is set and when everything was set he went back in the vestry room to pray to come and speak and when he arrived at the pulpit behold the team told him that the internet connection disappeared and the power of this man who just relied on technology he forgot to bring with him all his hard copies all the drafts that he was writing on to prepare his sermon and he tried all his best i am not familiar with the technology but he made sure all the attempts to make it work were done but behold nothing seemed to work and it says that no prayer could make even the internet connection come back and as all men do he tried to think on his own in his own mind when he said well there's no internet my computer is not connected but i have my cell phone with me he tried to open and browse through his cell phone behold while he's browsing the scripture the screen seemed to be smaller and smaller and he couldn't be able to do what to read what he was browsing through on his cell phone it says three minutes after browsing he realized that nothing was working well and he decided to bramble the sermon i will give you an example of brambling and tell me if you heard what i said well i don't know his meaning was his heart jesus he mean my forfeits with men brothers and sisters did you hear what i said and guess the whole 30 minutes given to the preacher he was brambling and thank god for the spirit it says the spirit was working hard in the congregation to speak to the members that behold he is just a human being and thank god none of the members worked out i know some places these days you try to bramble everybody will stand and say we are wasting our time we can't even hear what he is speaking at the end of the sermon the brambling sermon a member of the congregation walked to the preacher and said pastor don't mind everything will be all right i know you might have brambled but you would have asked me to help you this is just a member from the congregation he says when technology didn't work you'd have just asked me to help you if you couldn't call my name you could just ask in the congregation brothers and sisters i relied on technology but things are not working can someone help me and you know what brothers and sisters so many times we have relied on our own mind we got stuck in so many ways just because we couldn't ask for help there is always someone willing to give you help but because of pride because of our own stubbornness because of our own fear we are stuck we can't ask for help have you ever been in such a situation where everything seemed not to work where everything you are trying is not making sense have you ever felt like you have been left alone many things seem to stand in our way when it comes to seek for help it says that it could be pride it could be stubbornness it could be fear but this morning brothers and sisters i'm standing here with a good news that there is someone who is always there waiting for you to call for help i don't know what you may be going through i have no idea but all i know is that god send me this morning to speak to one of you one of us who is just stuck right now who has tried everything that no result this morning your message is there is a helper a helper who is ready to come for your rescue i know that we are living in a world that is rushing on nothing seemed to work or to move on our steps and because the world is rushing we are also tempted to do what to do the same to rush on and when we are rushing at the speed of the world we will stumble if you look around you things seem not to be looking good we are living in a world that is full of dangers if not a physical danger it could be an economic danger if not an economic danger it could be a spiritual danger it says when you look around you there is a lot of disease that is a physical danger there is a lot of accident that is a physical danger there is a lot of wars around it's a physical danger there is a natural disaster here and there that is a physical danger there is a pandemic that not only is in one region not only in one country not only in one continent but in the whole world that is a physical danger there is recession here and there there is depression there is unemployment and we somehow are wrestling with debt and this is an economic danger confusion doubt corruption this is a spiritual danger so i'm saying all this to prove to you that there is no way you can run away from the danger of this world and therefore i am submitting to you this morning when there is nowhere you can run to there is someone who can give you a place where you can hide the rock of ages clears for me let me hide myself in thee because that's the only place where i can find safety it's time for you and me to become more and more aware of how deeply we are to rely on god's grace so many times i've relied on my mind my fullness my foolishness and i have not found peace of mind i submit to you that this morning as the song i wanted to play for you didn't play well maybe through the media it says his grace and his goodness is running after me and you every time therefore there is no way you can hide even from the goodness and the grace of god isn't this a good news brothers but the only danger we have that we seem not to understand is that no matter how goodness no matter how his grace is running after us we are not able to say father god help me we need to submit to each other this morning and agree that we need help the world right now is confused with only one pandemic the medical officers are struggling meetings every day now and then to find a way out of this situation but there is no results therefore i want to tell you that we need help and as the reader read for us this morning in psalm 121 it says that david begin the psalm with a pilgrim looking at the hills you can see the picture that the heavy gave us there we see a big hill and as we look at the big hill there is always something that comes in our mind we are looking above we are looking into this cloud into the sky and this is to suggest to you that there is always hope that comes when we look up into the sky so many times with our busy lives brothers and sisters we are busy looking around us looking into the nature looking into the science looking into other men to find help but even them they are also looking you know i'm just looking at sister miriam and sister miriam is looking at me and both of us need help who is going to help sister marian therefore that why the psalmist say that david he looks up to the hill and therefore he comes with a song of ascent a song that seems to be climbing higher and higher he says i will lift up my eyes to the heels from whence comes my help this is the question this is the question have you ever asked yourself this question all for me and you this morning we are saying i will look up around me where's where comes my help and that's what we are doing we are busy looking around us trying to find help looking into the nature looking into science looking into what i call wealth money we think we'll get help from the money we are making every day and night but david understood that whether you look around you you will never find help and it says in the verse 2 after asking himself a question thank god when you ask a question you will always find an answer and he got the answer for his own question my help comes from the lord who made heaven and earth this answer he gave to himself it's an answer that is full of confidence he's not doubting after asking he says well i have realized that my help comes from the lord because he made the heaven and earth there is nothing too big for him there is nothing impossible for him to fix there therefore that where are we always run for my help a promise is down there into this psalm he says he will not allow your foot to be moved he who keeps you will not slumber behold he who keeps israel shall neither slumber nor sleep have you ever spoke to someone and you find that the person you are speaking to he is dozing closing the eyes have you ever been in such situation therefore i'm telling you that if you decide to rely on a human being as you you will find yourself speaking to someone who is sleeping but i suggest to you this morning after reading the psalm 2121 that our god will never slumber nor sleep therefore at 24 hours of your life he is watching you he is just there waiting for you to say lord i am out of breath just hold on unto me when i was reading and i was receiving words from god is that we are living in a society that is is is different like the society when things began it says when god created the world everything seemed to be perfect and good but these days when you look around you will find that things are not good anymore the beauty of flowers has disappeared because so many times when we are facing problems we will run into the nature at least to look around us for the beauty of god so that we can calm down but we won't find it i was reading this book where it says that we are living in a society that is full of selfishness we are living in a society where the culture values self-sufficient and i will give you an example have you ever seen for grandmas of the parent you are speaking to the little toddler or even a young boy of five two three four years that can i help you and so often we get the answer i got it dad i got it i can do it myself and this corrupted mind begins when we are still young and this is the society we are living in today where we are trying to find help for ourselves but i am telling you that today maybe what you're going through it's because you are still trying to find solution for your problem for yourself and you are running out of breath maybe you have consulted all the counselors the best one for that matter but you haven't found help yet why because we've got it if i didn't get it i will say that i know it if you knew it why don't you do it there is this question that came in my mind this morning when i was trying to finalize all the message that the lord has given me it says what do you do when you don't know what to do what do you do when you don't know what to do brother and sisters this morning the message from the lord is when you don't know what to do just hold on unto the man who can give you help and who knows when and how that help will come to you that when david sat down and said looking at all the hills he said well i've tried all my best but nothing is working where will my help come from with confidence he realized that his help will come from god this human tendency to refuse help or to pretend that we have got everything it can make it difficult for you and me if not difficult even impossible to journey in this life the life that is full of dangers therefore i'm telling you that when you have decided to hold on unto god this means that you have decided to trust him no matter where he leads you you have decided to depend on him no matter where he leads you and listen to this trusting in jesus it's not easy if you think it's easy go and ask abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his only son is that easy it's easy to say it but when it happens to you you will realize that it's difficult but you know what this morning i'm submitting to you that when you have decided to trust in god he will give you the power to overcome he will give the power as he provided the power to david with only five small stone to deal with the giant goliath if you decide to trust him he will give the power that he gave to peter when he walked on the water if you have decided to hold on unto jesus this means that you have decided to anchor in him and anchor in him it means no matter what storms come no matter where it's tossing you to and from you don't wander from god just still hold on they have told us so many times that in terms of trouble in terms of emergency call 9-1-1 yes this is the society we are living in self-sufficient self-sufficient this morning it says when you have decided to hold on unto jesus it means that you need to depend on his word you need to read his word and when it says reading it says it's simple in theory but challenging in execution have you ever asked yourself why sometimes you keep quiet when you know that you need to speak about the goodness of god why because when you will speak about it it's gonna be simple but when people look at what you are doing it's gonna be different therefore you decide to keep quiet so that they don't judge you this morning i don't know what you are facing you've got a problem that is too big to solve my message to you this morning is stop looking to man and start looking up to the mountain like david i don't know your problem i don't know the trials you are facing this morning my brother and my sister the message i have for you is that still holding on to jesus the author and the finisher of our faith he knows your name he knows every step you take he knows every move you make he knows when you are overwhelmed by the pain guess what he even understands the tears of your cries jesus knows the help you desire all he wants from you and me this morning just ask for help and he is going to provide it when you cannot see the way out when you don't know what to do just keep holding on to jesus when all you are facing it's just a heartache when you are facing all the trials and tribulation of your life rather than looking up to man this morning brother i am asking you to look up to jesus the one who knows when you need help have you ever tried to find a job for yourself for so many days so many months so many years you have tried your best writing the best of resumes but you've never got a job because you have tried on your own way but i am submitting to you this morning that when god has decided to help you when you have just called upon him he's going to make you understand that he can do everything and doing everything not in his favor but in your favor because his love his goodness keep chasing us by the time we wake up his goodness are there waiting for us by the time we get into our vehicles going to work his goodness and grace is chasing us why can't we learn to depend on him and chase away this mind that is crowding our faith self-sufficient and that when we come to the book of jeremiah when he says that you people who have been relying on your own foolishness it's time to turn unto god who will provide you the help that you need in the right time and is his own way when you decide to hold on unto jesus he knows how to handle your matters i don't know about you but i remember a brother telling me that he has tried all his best to fix his marriage he has tried all his best but guess what there was someone who was just waiting for him to ask him for help and this person when the right time came he spoke to the person and the person inspired by god gave him the best direction he told him you can go to various counselors who have got phd in education and counseling but things will not work the best counselor who knows what is wrong in your marriage is jesus because he knows the heart of your wife he knows your heart therefore if you just surrender to him he's gonna make things work right and i'm telling you this is a testimony that the brother went home with courage called the wife and sat down they both prayed from that moment the marriage worked i don't know what you're going through this morning my brother my sister all that god wants you to get from today is that we all need help no matter what you can pretend to show to other people that you are okay there is somewhere in your life where you always need help if not a physical help it will be economic help if not economic help it will be spiritual help therefore i'm submitting to you this morning that there is a man a man who can make things work for you a man who made it possible for the blind to see a man who made it possible for the lamb to walk a man who made it possible for the demon to get out of his children i don't know if the evie is ready with a song i may have spoken and maybe the words didn't come out right but i know the song says i can preach if i'm not i may not preach like paul but i can do something else if the song is ready it's maybe a song that we always hear every day and then from a singer who is maybe popular or known but maybe at this moment if they could play a song for us it could sink this message in our mind and heart but i don't want to be like the story i told you this morning maybe technology may not work but all i know is that when god has chosen to speak to someone he will do it in his own way i can speak words but maybe they are not enough to sink in your heart maybe you just need a song to make this message think in your mind as for me i will say this before maybe they play the song for us if it's gonna work it says that if you decide to hold on unto god we saw it this morning the apostle paul told us that things will not be only easy he says just surrender surrender to god because he knows what you're going through he knows your name he knows your situation and he has an answer and if you hold on the reward is big it's to be saved in his kingdom just listen to that song as we close [Music] yeah oh [Music] thank you he looks amazing [Music] all around my soul gives way he then is all my hope and stay we have said it all the world is full of confusion now things are falling apart may all our hope be built on nothing less only unto jesus because the rest of the ground is seeking sand father god we thank you for speaking to us this morning i know you may not have targeted the whole congregation but there is someone who needed to hear this message and i thank you because you have done it lord you have reached that soul may that person today find peace and rest in the only hope that we have jesus christ amen as we march out we'll
