to another awesome time on this platform uh with dr lovely elias and what god is doing in simi valley in california in the u.s and how it's reaching across the nations this is just another awesome time that we get to hear from the lord and so i welcome you and i implore you i know it's late but wherever you are just share share share share with somebody that will share with somebody that will share with somebody for some of you it's morning so good morning for some of you it's afternoon maybe possibly good afternoon so let's get in the room and let's have an expecting heart for what god wants to speak to us tonight or today we honor again our spiritual father papalo we honor the grace of god upon his life we honor the commission and the mandate that god has given him and we continually pray that god continues to use him mightily to continue to be the expression of jesus christ for such a time as this because we are all being blessed by his life amen and so we just thank god for him so so so much and i'm not going to be before you too long today but i'm very very excited about what god wants to talk about so just come on come on let's keep sharing keep sharing keep sharing keep sharing tell somebody to come god has a word for us today and we are here to to listen we posture ourselves to hear him all right so before we go deep into it uh this this evening tonight i want us to talk about purifying our heart before the lord purifying your heart before god and just pondering this or meditating upon it it was interesting because again i cannot help but discern or notice that's the word issues i cannot help but notice the pattern of what god has been talking to us about in this house over the past couple of weeks the past past couple of days it's like god is really intentional about setting us up for the next thing that he wants to do and so he is addressing everything he is he is highlighting everything he's covering all the bases so that he will have us be able to uh to handle the blessing that is coming our way and as i was preparing for tonight and just sitting and meditating on it holy spirit took me back to a message that papaolo just thought a couple of days ago and if you didn't watch it i encourage you to go and watch it where you talked about change and shift change versus shift and there was something that he said that was so so profound he said shift cannot happen without changes and it is changes that make room for the shift and so a lot of times we find ourselves in the place of expectation and waiting for that shift and we can feel the shift is coming we know a shift is about to take place you know and even how yesterday we're talking about being in that place where god is getting ready to birth us out of birth out that which he has put in us and so that shift is there but then there are changes that need to be made there's a certain adjustment that must take place for us to be able to then enter into that shift but many times believers we find ourselves stuck because we have not adjusted accordingly we have not changed where we needed to change and ultimately what god is desiring is to bring us to that place of oneness and so that's what we're talking about tonight what is it and how do we purify our hearts before god because god is concerned with the heart god is concerned with the heart the thing about this christian walk the thing about our salvation us being born again god is after the heart because it is the heart that becomes the foundation for everything else that we do in our lives and as we are on this journey sin and i want you to really have an open mind as we go into tonight because when we talk about purity and purifying ourselves and all these things many times our mind goes to okay i have to cleanse myself from sin i have to deal with this sin or that sin or whatever it is that i'm no like i just want you to silence those thoughts silence that voice and i want you to realize something that sin is actually not anything that you can do anything with you cannot address sin you cannot confront sin sin is something that only god only jesus was able to address and he did that through redemption sin is not our problem sin is not a problem we can solve rather let me put it that way sin is not a problem we can solve sin is a problem that jesus resolved it was an issue that he dealt with through redemption and so when we're sitting and pondering this thing about purification where god addresses us and we're going to go into the scriptures and see a couple of places where god is addressing this thing for us as believers to purify our hearts it is not about sin in us or us being able to give an answer to it but rather it is about the working out of something in our lives and that's the thing that i want us to talk about what is that thing that we're supposed to be working on in our lives because if redemption already addressed the issue of sin and it had to be so because otherwise we wouldn't have even access to be able to speak to god to be able to come close to god we could not even have fellowship with god we could not even have intimacy with god so sin had to be taken out of the way completely and so that already answers a question or let me say cancels out a candidate quote-unquote or a factor that we have battled with that we actually never needed to be battling with because it wasn't ours to deal with in the beginning without god having addressed the issue of sin we couldn't sit here and now talk about purifying our hearts before the lord without god having addressed the issue of sin we couldn't sit here and consider and talk about the things that god wants to do in our lives so sin had to be dealt with from the beginning at the onset of this relationship with god that we're finding ourselves in so sin is not in the equation i want you to grasp that in your spirit sin is not in the equation the reason i say that is because we have been born from above being born again having come from above we are a new creation in christ and this new creation was the response that god had to give in regards to this issue of sin because if if we were to remain in this nature god could not deal with us because sin is embedded in this nature and so god had to bring a completely different creation that he could even begin to do something with and so i want you to have that in the back of your mind or even in the front of your mind sin is not the factor sin is not what we have to deal with the concern of god is us being conformed to the image of jesus christ the concern of god and the the pursuit of god in us is that he desires for us to be conformed to the image of his son jesus christ by experience by experience and so in our spirit having been born again our spirit is one with god i really want to set this foundation so that as we're talking about purifying our hearts before god then we can have some form of understanding and some form of of of direction to understand what it is that god is after what it is that god is asking us for and our spirit is one with god right our spirit has become one with the father and the same spirit the bible says that the same spirit that raised christ from the dead that same spirit is the spirit that is living in us the spirit of god don't think of the spirit of god in you as some form of separate entity from the father the spirit of god in you is the essence of god himself jesus and him having the spirit the baptism of the spirit as the spirit descended upon him what gave jesus the power to walk out his assignment on this earth that same spirit is the spirit we have it is the spirit of god himself first corinthians chapter 2 talks about it is the spirit that knows the thoughts of the man the spirit of that man and in the same way it is only the spirit of god that can discern the things of god that same spirit is the spirit that we have and that same spirit is the one that has birthed us so that we have been born of the spirit so that is the essence of who we are that is the essence of who we are and so our whole entire existence or our christian walk rather is a relearning a relearning because we are in this body we are in this in this flesh still and yet we have been regenerated right papalo was talking about this again just a few days ago he said the issue that we have is that although we are new this body to is old and the nature the habits uh tendencies that have been ingrained in us is just by default of how long we have been living in this body so that is that's just something that we have to now reprogram but how do you reprogram it it's not by dealing with that flesh is not by allowing the spirit that is in us to now become the leader to not begin to be the one that dictates our thoughts dictates our our behaviors our character and he is the teacher he molds us after the form of jesus christ so that we can be conformed to his image so i want you to just have that hold on to that that that spirit in us is leading us to be fully uh fully like christ being conformed to the image of jesus christ and that's all that we are here for that's all that we are here for and so when we're talking about purifying our hearts before god why is this even necessary because without us being purified we can't even come close to god and again i don't want you to think of you being purified as an issue of the sin nature in us because that's already been dealt with therefore that means when it comes to purifying our hearts before god there is something else that god is after it is not the sin question he is after something else because the sin question was already answered by the cross of jesus christ the sin question was already answered in redemption in redemption he dealt with that he justified us the bible says so that we have become the righteousness of god in christ jesus so then what is the purifying of our hearts what is the purification of our hearts that god is after and how do we purify our hearts before the lord the first scripture i want us to go to is james chapter 4 james chapter four verse eight james chapter four verse eight let me read that actually here james 4 8 the bible says draw nigh to god and he will draw nigh to you cleanse your hands these sinners and purify your hearts you double minded first of all drawing night to god so that he'll draw near to us this itself deletes the idea that sin is that thing that will keep us from being able to come close to the father and i'm really wanting to drill this in because as i was meditating on this and preparing for this what i kept hearing the holy spirit say over and over and over and over again to me was when it comes to purifying the hearts the issue why we get stuck in this sometimes is because we have become concerned with outside appearances and we have forgotten or we have not realized the extent to which god is not really concerned with the external as much as the internal because it is the internal that is to influence the external and so god is looking on the inside but we have gotten caught up with outside appearances and because of that when we consider something such as purifying your heart before god then we have a gauge in our minds we have uh a meter that kind of appears you know we have a scale that kind of shows up that we begin to measure yeah maybe so and so is more pure than so and so based on external appearances external things that we see but god does not look at outside appearances remember god looks at the heart because external things can be deceptive all that glitters is not gold it may look a certain way it can sound a certain way it can appear a certain way but all the while being something completely different on the inside and this was the the the bone that jesus kept picking with the pharisees because he said you guys on the outside you want to be like white washed tombstones white washed tombstones vessels that appear clean on the outside but on the inside you're filthy a whitewashed tombstone no matter how beautiful it looks if you ever open it all that you will find inside it is dead bones dry bones rotten bones rotten flesh so we have become deceived by the beauty of the external not realizing that the inside the inside the inside was not being maintained according to what god said and so now in james chapter 4 verse 8 he's saying draw near to me and i'm going to draw near to you and then as you draw near to me he says cleanse your hand oh you sinners so in coming to god as we are it's in that place that god begins to do the work with us of cleansing our hands and so even how we talked about this yesterday uh second corinthians 3 18 is saying as we behold him we become transformed and so there's a thing about being able to come to god as we are and we hear it over and over and over again the issue is some of us are trying to dictate the how we can come to god or at what point we can come to god when is it when are you good enough to come to the lord that has been the issue that has just made the church lose power because we have tried to take the glory of the transformation that only holy spirit can give if we cannot come to god as we are and allow him to work in us because he alone can do that first of all then where else will we find that but we have put these measured man-made rules man-made traditions as the pharisees did to say okay no this person not yet you're not ready to come to god yet what does that even mean what does that even mean he says when you draw near to me i will draw near to you and as you come close to me and as i come close to you in that place there is a washing of hands and that's even the beginning because later then he says and then he says purify your hearts you double-minded so cleanse your hands or you sinners the cleaning of hands is symbolic of purity of innocence so the washing to say okay i am separating myself and then he says purify your hearts all you double-minded and the word that is used in this portion of scripture the greek word that is used here is hagnizzo i hope i'm saying it right h-a-g-n-i-z-o and it basically means to separate oneself from the world and to consecrate yourself to god and so right here is the first key as we talk about purifying your heart before god the very first place of purification will happen at the place of your will and the will the place of your will will be a place of sacrifice purification begins at the place of your will and this place your will is the place of sacrifice because it begins at the place of your intention and you saying god first of all i want to draw near to you and that step invites god in a lot of us we we are waiting for god to do something and then we do something and god says no i'm waiting for you to do something and then i'll do something take the step towards me and then i'll take the step towards you so it's in our court the ball is in our court purifying your heart before the lord the ball is in your court the goal remember is conformity to christ the goal is conformity to christ god is taking the time in everything he's been saying to us and prophetically decreeing and declaring over us or revealing to us rather that we are in a season of manifestation we have come to the season of seeing results of seed sown of seeing harvest of seeing the fruit of labor of seeing that miracle of seeing that testimony of seeing that breakthrough but he is reminding us tonight don't get caught up in that i need you to remember before it even happens that the goal of even that miracle that you're expecting is all for my glory for you to be conformed to jesus christ for you to be as christ in that place of your miracle for you to be as christ in that place of your blessing for you to be asked christ in that place of your breakthrough that is the goal of god we are to all look like christ and so purifying our hearts begins at that place of the world to say lord i will draw near and he draws near and that place is the place of sacrifice why because at the place of coming night to god is the place where we are able to say god not my will but your will be done it's the place where we're able to say god all that i am i offer to you as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable i offer myself what is self self is the will your self is wrapped up in your will and when you can lay that down and say god i lay myself down it's i'm laying my will down when you say i'm laying my will down you're laying yourself down to say god only what you want only what you desire that's what i want that's what i desire father i'm coming close purifying our hearts before the lord it begins at the place of our will because god is looking at the heart and so as he is looking at our heart it's going to begin at the place where we're able to say lord as he is peering in your heart to see hearts that are or are saying back to god father not what i want but what you want father not what i desire about what you desire father not my plan but your plan that's the beginning of us purifying our hearts before the lord it's at that place of surrendering surrendering all and saying god i give you my will i give you my will and he won't force our hand to do it that's the thing about god he's patient he's very very patient he won't force his his his his hand on us the bible says we are co-laborers with god so he wants to enter into a partnership with us and jesus was the prime example of that right god himself him being the full expression of the godhead in bodily form the bible says that he asked in the heavens was heard a question who is worthy to open this book and only the lamb stood up god is looking hey who will go and speak for us god is looking for partners he's looking for people who will join hand with him to fulfill his will here on the earth he's looking for men and women that will stand up for the agenda of heaven here on earth to be kingdom ambassadors kingdom representatives that's what it's all about we say kingdom kingdom kingdom kingdom but do we understand how that functions do we understand how kingdom operates what does it mean to go out by mandate of the kingdom what does it mean to stand in a territory representing a kingdom because that's what it's all about kingdom is about territories y'all and so the territories of society the territories of of media the territories of the world that we live in the territories all across the earth god is wanting us to dominate the territories in our families in our schools everywhere we are planted in our businesses in every industry in every place and every sphere he wants the kingdom there that means he wants us to take over and dominate that territory purifying our hearts before the lord is going to begin when we can lay our will down and say god it's your agenda not mine some of us in the place we are we are wanting to hug the blessings for ourselves and that's why it's not working that's why it's not working outside appearances the things we do or how things appear to be god is looking past all that it's like he's pushing it all aside coming after the heart to check the heart posture to check the condition of the heart because that's what he's concerned about that's what he's concerned about a beautiful scripture before we go further psalm 24 this issue of purity of heart why does it matter so much to god because he will not work with anybody else he want he won't operate or partner with anybody else psalm 24 3 who shall ascend into the heel of the lord who shall stand in his holy place verse 4 he that has clean hands and a pure heart who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity nor sworn deceitfully and that's our desire we want to be close to the lord i don't know about you but that place of god i want to be as close to you as i could ever be i want to know you as deep as i could ever know you there's always more and i want to be in that place father i want to get closer still to know you a little better today than i did yesterday to hear you a little clearer today than i did yesterday forgetting the things that are behind we keep pressing we keep pressing paul said i haven't attained yet i keep going this one thing i do and he's saying who is that person that can ascend unto the heel of the lord who will stand in his holy place he says he that has clean hands and a pure heart who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity who has not sworn deceitfully and the vanity that can creep in even through the blessings that god desires to pour into our lives and so this issue of purifying our hearts before the lord then it becomes a daily thing it becomes a consistent thing of always looking in that mirror always looking in that mirror and it's interesting that james says this back to where we were in james 4 8 because he says cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts you double-minded and in this place james is the same man who spoke to us in the beginning he says if any a double a double minded man is unstable in all these ways in james chapter one he says whatever you ask of the lord if you're gonna ask for wisdom or if you're lacking wisdom ask god will give it to you the father of lies every good and perfect gift comes from him in him is no shadow of changing but then he says let him ask ask without wavering or doubt because a double-minded man is unstable in all these ways now when he comes to talk to us about purifying our hearts it's very interesting that he refers to that double-mindedness he's saying purify your hearts ye double-minded and so this place of the heart the bible sometimes will often talk about heart or mind in different in different contexts in certain places they're interchangeable heart and mind and he's telling us purify your hearts ye double-minded and the bible says something in uh proverbs chapter four he says guard your heart why because out of your heart flow all the issues of your life and it's interesting again because now our life is not ours right it is the life of christ in us it is the life of christ coming out through us it is the expression of god through us excuse me and so now he's saying god your hearts with all diligence while out of it are the issues of life and so now this brings us to a very interesting place because if we have said right we are one with the spirit of god we have been joined to the spirit of god in the same way that marriage happens how those the bible talks about the becoming one that is what has happened to our spirit and the spirit of god we can no longer separate the two like there is no separation there's no distinction any longer between our spirit and the spirit of god we are one we have been born of the spirit out of us or out of our heart is supposed to flow the life of god and so how i was saying earlier it's not an issue of of battling sin that's not the problem that's not our fight okay saints of god whosoever is on this life tonight watching me please i need you to understand your christian faith is not a fight against sin or your christian walk rather is not a fight against sin your christian walk is about you being able to fully express jesus christ in your life and so in that the conformity of christ is how we can identify or rather we can pinpoint sin because that's what we are familiar with and so we think of it as us turning away from sin but that's not the issue it is our nature the nature of god fully expressing itself in us that we now say it's like oh i don't sin or that sin or this sin or that thing that i used to do no rather the proper way to ex to say this would be how much the degree to which we are expressing jesus christ because sin is in the flesh sin is in the flesh and so it's not about how do i sin or not sin no it's about is the expression of jesus christ being manifested in my life so stop battling against sin and begin to concern yourself with expressing jesus you cannot serve two masters the bible tells us clearly and so as we live by the spirit by default we do not satisfy the flesh and so when we're talking about purifying our hearts before god it is because our hearts become that vessel so to speak through which the expression of the spirit in us is trying to burst out so to speak and the degree to which it can burst out is the degree to which we are conformed to christ and that's the heart place of us purifying our hearts before the lord before god the choices that we make taking us right back to our will where the choice then is that we lay our lies down on that altar offering ourselves as a living sacrifice that is the choice we make so that the expression of the life of christ in our spirit is revealed i hope i'm making sense i really pray making sense we purify our heart before the lord at the place of our will because this place of our will is the place of our surrender and that is where god can now express himself there's this interesting statement that pablo made a few days ago i think it was a prophetic service and i remember when he first made that statement i said wow god what and he said you will never be more anointed than you are at this very moment those of you who may have watched that service would remember this is that right now you are as anointed as you will ever be you will never be more anointed than you are right now and i was just like god like what because the spirit that is in you is the same spirit that is in christ that was in christ it's the spirit of god it is him his essence fully the difference is the degree to which we express him so what we call anointing what you and i call anointing is really we shouldn't really use the term anointing because the way we have used it has confused some of us that's why we think there is a place of us becoming more anointed or you know somebody is more anointed it's not a really anointing it's expression because if you are not any more anointed at this particular moment in your life than you ever will be and if you have the for the fullness of the holy spirit in you right now the only difference then is the degree to which you can express him and the degree to which you can express him is directly related to the degree to which you have conformed to jesus christ how much of god are you expressing how much of god are you expressing i want us to read something it's in uh colossians colossians chapter 2 verse 9 but let's read from eight colossians chapter two from verse eight he says beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after christ verse 9 says for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and ye are complete in him which is the head of all principality and power so let nobody deceive you through philosophy and rudiments according to the traditions of men but understand that christ is the full expression of the godhead in bodily form and not only that you are in him and therefore you are complete in him that everything that pertains to life and godliness is already given to you in him and so yet if this is true then why are we lacking certain things in our lives it is because of the degree of expression of christ that we can see because unless god is a liar every believer should be able to cast demons out every believer should be able to heal the sick every believer should be able to walk in miracle signs and wonders every believer should be able to speak in other tongues unless god is a liar but because we know god is not a liar therefore that means there is something else about the expression of the godhead in us the expression of the life of christ in us that is connected to the ability of seeing these things manifested the degree to which we can express christ so it's not about you saying it it's not about you talking the talk right can you walk the walk can you walk the walk and it's that's why it goes back to the heart because only god can see the heart that's the crazy thing right we can get so caught up with externals but god sees the heart god sees the heart and so as much as we could try to deceive even ourselves god is not deceived god is not deceit and so this thing of the heart this thing of the heart it matters so much to god and again this whole thing about external appearances that's one thing i think i like about god so much because again the bible tells us all these things you know and we see it and he says i will use the foolish things to confound the wise because what we consider wisdom is based on externals what we can see right that makes sense to us and that's when colossians 2 is saying don't let nobody fool you with philosophy because we're men in our human nature we like to explain everything you know we this plus this equals to this yes that makes sense this and we're very philosophical about it we're very scientific about it uh very much so wanting to prove it all and this leads to this and that's how it is god doesn't function like that and so the things that make no sense are the things that god says this is exactly what i'm gonna use this is exactly how i'm gonna function and operate so that men cannot try to explain it they will know that i am god that's how god does things and so when you look at him say something like david was the man after god's own heart we are blown away because i don't know about you but how many of us whenever we have heard a sermon preached or a lesson taught about david and how he was a man after god's own heart people always talk about oh but he committed the sin with bathsheba and this is very like the sin that he committed is always the highlight when we're talking about how david was a man of the god's own heart i can testify of that because almost every single time that i hear this story spoken of and how he was the man after god's own heart they always compare it to the fact that he committed sin but so this sin that he made somehow because it's so visible we see the sin and somehow try to correlate that to the fact that okay even though he committed the sin but it was still a man after god's own heart but the sin doesn't even matter the david being a man after god's own heart it's it had to do with the the the the oneness that he had with god the focus of his intention his intention towards god rather let me put it that way his intention towards god it wasn't about how he lived life externally his heart his heart and so even when you put it up otherwise people will tell you oh well saul didn't even commit half a sin as david committed but he had nothing to do with that and the grace of god to use whoever he chooses to do whatever it pleases so let's not get caught up with externals let's not get caught up with externals even david again as i ponder on it and how when they uh samuel went to anoint him if you remember what happened in that instance uh first samuel chapter 17 or 16 i think and when samuel goes to anoint the sons of jesse and all the sons come and they're all lining up and samuel is looking at them and say oh this surely must be a king right the first one and then the next and then the next and the next and god tells them no you're looking externally i'm not concerned with externals i don't look the way man looks i look at the heart i look at the heart first samuel chapter 16 is verse 7 he says the lord but the lord said unto samuel look not on his countenance or on the height of his stature because i have refused him for the lord seeth not as man see it for men looketh on the outward appearance but the lord looketh on the heart god looks at the heart and so there's something about the place of that surrender the place of putting our will down and saying lord i offer myself to you the place of the will is the place where perfection oh purifying our hearts before the lord begins it begins at your will the place of your will what is your will before the lord what have you laid your will down before the lord and then that daily thing that daily thing of saying lord today i pick up my cross and follow you every day it's that constant reminder that hey i've laid my will down i've laid my will down and that's where the psalmist said the one that will ascend unto the heel of the lord is he that has clean hands and a pure heart that has not lifted up his soul unto vanity it will creep in and so i it's not by accident that god says any oh jesus said if any man will follow him let him pick up his cross each and every day to remind ourselves each and every day so the purifying of our hearts then we can see is not a one-time thing it's a continual thing it's a consistent thing it's a daily thing that we do before god a daily thing sin is not the issue sin is not the issue expressing christ is the desire that's the issue that's the focus that's what we want to express him and so that's why you stay looking at him that's why you stay focused on him how we're talking about it yesterday second corinthians 3 18 but then james also talks about that looking in that mirror it's interesting right you look at your reflection every day you look at your reflection every day did something change like we notice and in the same way of looking at the reflection this word is a mirror christ is the mirror remember the word is jesus christ not the letter not the scripture but we see him as we are seeing the reflection of him we're seeing a reflection back on us it's like hey sitting on the mirror and trying to fix your hair it's like okay i noticed that something like the strand is not right okay let me fix it up you know let me let it lay right as we are looking at him we see how we're supposed to be and we adjust and james says it's only a crazy man that will look at the mirror and then leave and forget how he even looked it would make no sense for you to look in the mirror see yourself looking crazy and walk away still looking crazy what was the point of you looking at the reflection to try and adjust yourself daily daily daily so we purify our hearts at the place of our will that place of laying our will down that place of surrendering ourselves and we purify our hearts it's as a daily a daily practice a daily surrender a daily laying down purifying our hearts and it's interesting because this place of communion then this place of communion with god is that place because he said from the very beginning where we read james 4 he says you draw near to me and i'll join you to you so come close to god that place of fellowship that place of communion that place of communication that place of conversing i come close to god he comes close to me we dialogue right we reason we we speak together that place of prayer the place of prayer is a place where we purify our hearts because prayer essentially is really communication but communication doesn't happen until there is reproductive communication right so it's not just me speaking speaking speaking and not listening as i draw near to god he draws near to me when i search for him i find him when i call unto him he answers me and he shows me things that place of prayer that place of prayer the place of prayer a place of purifying our hearts and really it's i want to say nothing more than and i say that rarely because it sounds simple and it is simple doesn't necessarily mean it's easy but it is simple and our hearts being purified is simply our hearts having no agenda of our own other than the agenda of god purifying our hearts is us being in the place where all that god desires is all that we desire purifying our hearts is that place of oneness becoming one with him that's the place of purifying our hearts that's what purifying our hearts is so that as he is so we are his thoughts his desires consume all of our thoughts all of our desires but it's not easy it is simple but it's not easy and yet by his spirit and by his grace he makes it easy and so really then the hardness is really only just that you laying your will down that's the struggle for us but when you can conquer the battle of your will when you can conquer that battle of saying god not my will but yours that's the place that's the place where god purifies our hearts everything else his grace will abound towards you and there's a scripture that i read earlier as i was just preparing to come up here in malachi chapter 2. malachi actually no malachi chapter 3 i believe let me make sure malachi chapter 3 verse 3 he says he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver and he shall purify the sons of levi and purge them as gold and silver that they may offer unto the lord an offering in a righteousness he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver to purifiers purifiers and purges as they purchase gold and as it purchased silver and so the only thing that you really can do is to lay your will down everything else is god that does it everything else everything else is god that does it and we just do it in partnership with him but your part to play is you laying your will down and even that is still the grace of god isn't it amazing that literally everything about our salvation everything about our life god began it and god is the only one that can perfect it like even us calling on the name of jesus is because god intended it to be self so even the illusion of us trying to to combat the will of god was trying to go against the will of god really for us as believers it makes no sense because it is in him that we live in him that we move in him that we have our being god is our source he is our source aside from him we literally have no existence we cannot be without him we cannot be without him and when that becomes a truth that sinks in you will find that laying your will down before him paul says it becomes your reasonable act of service it's reasonable it's all you can do like it makes sense to do this it makes sense to lay my will down because i realize that he's the one who began everything anyway and now here he's telling us he will sit as a refiner and when you really understand how the purification of the refining of silver works then we really see how much god is really after himself in our lives period everything else is extra god wants to see himself in us to be conformed to the image of his son and the way that silver is purified it's literally the silversmith will sit with the silver and hold it over the hottest part of the fire he holds it over the hottest part of the flame and stays there with his eyes fixed on that and the reason is if he leaves it any longer than it's supposed to that's it like the silver will be destroyed and so it's a very intentional very focused very timely uh timely process and he is literally fixated there with it holding it in the hottest part of the flame but then how does he know that the silver has been purified how does it know that it's ready is when he sees his reflection in that metal he knows it's ready and he pulls it out of the fire when he can see his reflection it's ready to come out it has been purified god is after that conformity of christ in our lives everything that we're going through every lesson that he is teaching us every truth that he is trying to ingrain in us right now it is because he is wanting to see the image of christ the fullness of christ the expression of christ in each and every one of us to be conformed that is what he made us for you know how we like to uh to say and it is true in a sense that we were made to give him glory yes but really it is in us being conformed to the image of christ that is how we give him glory because that's what he made us for we were predestined for this we were predestined for known and chosen for what to be conformed to the image of his dear son that's what he is working out in us and it is in that conformity that or us conforming to jesus that's where god is getting glory that is where god is getting glory that the bible tells us let this light shine before men so that they will glorify your father in heaven it is because we are reflecting jesus christ we are expressing rather jesus christ and so purifying your heart before the lord is a place of saying god i don't want to be i don't want to be alive i want christ to be alive like let christ live in me i don't want to do my will i don't want to have my way let it be your way let it be your will let it be your plan let it be your desire laying it all down and god is so concerned about it that sometimes he literally will keep you in a place and not move you until he sees that reflection and just like the silversmith that purifies the silver through fire when he sees his reflection when he sees that your heart is conformed to his when he sees that your desire is now his desire when he sees that what you are after is what he is after that you are now concerned with what he is concerned about he removes you from that fire and a beautiful example of this is hannah hannah i used to wonder about henna in first samuel chapter one when you read that story we know that they were believers quote unquote right like they believed in the god of israel they worshipped the god of israel every year they would go up to shiloh and give sacrifices they were they were worshippers of god they were worshippers of god and so this woman who loved god but the bible says first of all that god was the one who shot a woman number one and number two so she's going and has been praying this thing that she wanted in the midst of all of that her the other wife benina has been having children so this was this was a long process of being held onto the fire if we can use that analogy like she was held onto that fire for a minute seeing this other woman rose to the point that god is or her husband tells us what is your issue am i not better to you than 10 cents like so we know this so if we're talking about the purifying of our hearts consider hannah in this process where she stayed there in this place going up to the mountain to worship and shiloh coming back this is still this woman is praying and saying god i want his son until one day they went and she said no this is too much and the bible says she went to that altar and in the bitterness of our heart she was crying out to god and looking crazy to eli because her mouth was just moving but no words coming out and so eli the priest comes and he says what's wrong with you like have you drunk like how are you going to be drunk and come to the house like how are you going to be drunk and come to this altar and again see how external experiences can be deceptive but we're not even focusing on that and this woman says no man of god like i'm not drunk i've not i've i'm not drunk i'm not a daughter of billiard i think that's the word he used but she says i have prayed to god out of the bitterness of my heart that long prayer for some of us where we have been praying and praying and praying and praying you have been praying though but god is waiting for something god is waiting for something that purifying of your heart where you are willing there's a place of prayer like you can pray pray pray pray pray and put this down for a minute there's a place of prayer you get to where you say god you know what at this point you do what you want to do how you want to do it and it doesn't come out of of of defiance but it's really god bringing you to the what we call the end of yourself some of us we have not reached the end of ourselves yet and god is dealing with us with purifying our hearts because it has to be emptied we're still having things in our heart that god is like nah i'm still no like i want it all empty because christ is not able to fully express himself because there's things that are still there that are blocking the full expression you express him well in one area but god is saying no i need to fully be expressed in your life and god is keeping you in that place you've been praying for it and praying for it and praying for it and wondering and god is saying okay no we're still working it out we're still working it out we're still working it out keep on the mistake that sometimes we make is we stop praying don't stop keep on because in that place as you come before the lord remember this the reflection was happening in hannah's life she didn't know but the the tool that god was using was that pain it was pinching her so to speak it was hurting her it kept pushing her into that place until she said god i can't anymore if you give me the son i'm gonna give him back to you god says okay ma'am you are ready because the blessing that you've been praying for i want you to know that it's not for you is for my glory and until you get that it's not gonna be yours i'm not giving it to you yet because this i need this sun that you're about to release from your womb i need your womb to be the place for what i'm about to do in the season but you have to be wailing and you have to be available god won't force your hand god will not force your hand when hannah tapped into that place to say god this thing that i'm crying out for lord if you give it to me i am giving it back to you if you give it to me i'm giving it back to you and god said okay no problem i'm gonna give it to you and he didn't only give her one he gave him more than one but that one he got what he needed and that's the place of desire that's the place of god's agenda that's the place of us being kingdom men and kingdom women kingdom ambassadors kingdom ambassadors men and women who will pursue the agenda of heaven father this thing i want you you're praying for whatever that blessing god you give me this financial blessing father is how is it going to benefit the kingdom god you give me this child how is it going to benefit the kingdom god you establish me in this place how is it going to benefit the kingdom god give me this marriage how is it going to benefit the kingdom god give me this how how will that blessing that you are praying to god for benefit the kingdom and the place of praying becomes that place of purifying our hearts and so prayer really is even in that place of the will how do we purify our hearts as we come before the lord and lay our will down to hear what he wants to allow our hearts to be conformed to his sometimes we misquote or misinterpret how how the psalmist says delight yourself in the lord he will give you the desires of your heart it's not every random desire that you have that no that's not how this works god is not a uh uh what should i call it uh i don't know like a free lottery machine or something like he's not we don't just go and get hey god just give me what i want that's not how it works does the key to you having the desires of your heart is you delighting yourself in the lord by the time you're delighting in something it's your heart is in it by the time you're delighting in something you're taking pleasure in it by the time you're delighting in something it it brings you fulfillment it brings you satisfaction when you delight yourself in a person they are your joy like you enjoy them and when you enjoy a person without even knowing it it's like the things they like you kind of you even begin to just partake in it because they like it you begin to like it because you delight in them you just don't want to be where they are like you delight in them and now he's saying when you delight yourself in the lord he'll give you the desires of your heart god knows that by the time you're delighting yourself in me the desires of your heart are not going to be contrary to my will he knows he knows delight yourself in the lord he will give you the desires of your heart purifying your heart before god purifying your heart before god so what do you want what do you desire how can i make you happy we're all wanting things from the lord what does god want from you how what can you do to make god happy have you asked yourself that ever how much can we express christ it's tied to the purification of our hearts it's connected to the purification of our hearts god wants to be seen in you he wants to be felt through you he wants to be to be revealed through your life and so he is inviting us to this beautiful partnership salvation is not just a ticket to heaven you know that's what we have made it seem today we are so comfortable just knowing hey i'm saved it's all good like we are only concerned with will i make it to heaven when god gave us redemption christ died for us god wanted to restore that relationship with his creation with us to birth sons and daughter and you breed totally a new type of being so that there will be a different expression of him on the earth it wasn't just about giving you a ticket to heaven i always say if that's what all that mattered then as soon as we we see christ and confess him in our hearts and believe them in our heart then we'll be dead like hey your life is over you accepted christ cool let's go just out of this world but god didn't make it so he leaves us here while he has translated our spirit he leaves us here for a reason he wants to be revealed he wants to be expressed and so i want you from today from this moment to begin to consider am i suppressing the spirit of god in me or am i allowing him full reign to express himself in my life is my heart is my heart allowing the flow of the life of the spirit to flow without restriction without limitation does my heart allow it to flow the power of god the word of god to flow undiluted the raw manifestation of the power of god where jesus really it wasn't even a challenge it was just a statement simply he said greater works than these shall he do as i fully express myself in you by the spirit you guys will do even beyond what i did and yet today we are amazed at the bare minimum it blows our minds because it's not the experience of everybody but that's not what jesus said he said you will do greater works than these meaning all the things that we see in the word all the miracles that jesus performed he putting it out there to say we will do greater than this so everything that he did we all should be able to do that and more the expression of jesus the expression of jesus in our lives how are we expressing him how are we expressing him your heart your heart your heart purify your heart before god purify your heart before god realize that it is something all you can do is to lay that well down by the grace of god but god is he is the one giving free reign so to speak to have his way in your life i love how david says it psalm 139 he said lord search me and know him and know me search me search my heart search my thoughts if there is any wicked way in me god lead me in the way everlasting search me father purifying our hearts before god is us coming before him we lay our will down to say lord i offer myself as i am lord search me i come as i am so this shouldn't only challenge us today but it should really encourage us because some of us have been like lord okay i can't i'm not pure enough i'm here tonight to tell you that you can never ever be pure enough that's not your job jesus christ died for us scripture says so that he would purify us and present us to himself blameless he can do that work you cannot and so come before him and say lord here i am search me like let me cleanse my hands father god whatever it is that you see like let me cleanse my hands he said cleanse your hands or you seen her in that place of beginning with him and just living life with him and doing everything with him setting your mind don't be double-minded the mind the double-mindedness is systems it's not just the doubting here today and tomorrow having faith that's not what it is it's the same way that he talks about it in romans 12 where he says do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind it is about systems he's talking about the conformity to systems a way of life a system of leaving he is saying do not be conformed to that system be transformed by the renewing of your mind i want you to learn not to live according to the system but to live according to that system the kingdom system the heavenly system that's the system that i want you to be conformed to so then when james says purify your hearts you double minded he is revealing something to us that we are struggling as long as we keep struggling with the system of the world and the system of god we will stay in this back and forth place and he says purify your hearts you double-minded do not live according to the systems live according to the kingdom system kingdom principles jesus came and he says i'm here to tell you the kingdom of god has come the kingdom of heaven is at hand we live by a different set of rules and so part of the purification and really the essence of the purification of our hearts is us being re-recalibrated right rewired to god's system because the spirit is inside right we have our spirit and our mind which is our heart our and then our soul and then our body right so the spirit the soul the seed of our emotions our mind our heart it's in that soul place and then the body and so now god is recalibrating he's recalibrating the soul by the expression of the spirit within and so as it bursts out through the soul it then can burst out through the body god's intention is that the spirit man dominates purifying our hearts before god purifying our hearts before god i said i just wanted to start on this and touch on it briefly so i think this is enough for us to chew on and meditate on and reflect on and by god's grace he will continue to reveal more about this device but for tonight i think i'm going to end right here and so let's go real quick and give and then we'll come back and we'll pray together we'll pray together even according to this word we've heard today and just release release god give him permission so to speak to do what he wants to do in our lives but so let's just go and give and we'll be back god lives and real quick before we get off tonight um or this morning wherever you may be whenever you're watching this i want us to take some time to pray let us pray because as we were just in this short time while we were doing the giving and as i was sitting here and just meditating something that dropped in my spirit is really truly us becoming extensions of christ everywhere that we are and it's something that papalo has said that in this few moments that just kind of came back to my mind and how he says his desire is to raise up thousands of men and women of god who will go out and even do more than what he is doing across the nations and i remember one day just sitting in conversation and he said something he was like man imagine the last generation if there was alas generations like all over the globe what a difference like how the world would be set on fire so to speak and so as i was sitting here those words just kind of came back to my spirit and i want us to take time to pray because i want you all of us myself included i want you to be encouraged that you can express god right where you are you know a lot of times one of the things that has been a deception for us and pablo says this all the time is this idea of i'm waiting for my time when my time comes i'm waiting for my time when my time comes and we think it's going to be this majestic explosive thing that god does but god begins with us exactly where we are god wants us to glorify him right in that office right in that home right in that marriage right with those children right in that school right where you are and so this thing of my time i'm waiting for my time and yet god is right there and wanting to be fully revealed to the people that he has placed in your life for a reason on purpose and so if we can begin to really just yield ourselves to god to know that the same spirit of god that dwelled in jesus dwells in us as we look at somebody like papalo and the same spirit that dwells in him is the same spirit that dwells in us the only difference is the degree to which he is able to express god and that to be a challenge to us the degree to which we are able to express god where we are so that we are not afraid to stand up and rep jesus in whatever circle he has put us there's a reason you are where you are and yet connected to this house and yet connected to this ministry papalo will never may never let me say he may never be able to meet the people that are in your immediate circle but you are connected to him and those people are connected to him through you in that place for a reason and so you can then represent god to them in the same way that you're seeing god represented and so i want us to really really be challenged so that we don't uh we don't hold back god has believers all across the globe on purpose he didn't just say hey i want everybody that's going to be a last generation to be confined to simi valley los angeles or california no but he said i wanted last generation i want my children i want my sons and daughters to be spread out across the globe because then there can be extensions and my glory my my expression can be experienced all across the globe so i'm challenging all of us today to rise up and don't despise your location that's the place where god is desiring to be glorified that's why he had you be born in the family that you're born into that's why he had you born in the nation that you're born into that's why it has you living on that street where you live that's why he has you working in that place where you work that's why he has you established in that place where he is establishing you it's all by design it's all by design don't try to escape the place that god is wanting to be glorified in and he has chosen you to be the vessel through which he will be glorified all it is it's about you purifying your heart before him laying your will down and saying god express yourself do what you want to do so tonight i want us to pray because this thing of the heart at the end of the day we don't even know our own hearts the bible says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked above all things who can know it and yet god is the god that searches the hearts he says i the lord try hearts and i reward to everybody according to what is in his heart so only god really knows our hearts so even in the place of purifying our hearts as i was saying ultimately all we can do is lay our desire or our will down and yield ourselves to god because the work of inner transformation is a work that only god can do it's a work that only the spirit of god in us can do so i want us to pray and the very first thing i want us to pray is according to that psalm 139 23 24 how he says search me o lord and know me try my heart if there is any wicked way in me lead me in the way everlasting and i want us to pray and say lord god search my heart i lay my heart bare before you in this moment this morning this evening this afternoon wherever you are lord i lay my heart there before you god search my heart show me to myself reveal me to myself if there is anything in my heart god that is not of you lord take it away lord take it away father let my heart be transformed let my heart be conformed transform me lord so that you will be glorified in the name of jesus in jesus name the next thing i want us to pray the bible says in isaiah he says every word that god releases he says the word will never return to him void but then he says something very interesting because it says as far as the heavens is above the earth he says my ways are not your ways my thoughts are not your thoughts and yet the spirit of god is the spirit that we carry and so now he tells us in first corinthians 2 then he says no i have seen no ears he says it cannot even enter into the imagination the thoughts that god has because based on isaiah right he says my thoughts my ways are beyond your thoughts and beyond your ways but then when you read second first corinthians to 10 he says but those things have been revealed to you by the spirit of god and so there is a dimension that god is calling us to be at that place of conformity where his thoughts become our thoughts where his ways become our ways where we begin to operate as jesus christ himself and so tonight i want you to pray and say lord god let your thoughts become my thoughts as he has predestined us to be conformed to the image of jesus christ let his ways become our ways it shouldn't be surprising to us how he desires to function in our lives when he has conformed us because all we are is yielded father let your thoughts become my thoughts let your ways become my ways i don't want to operate according to the systems of this world you say let me be conformed by the renewing of my mind let me be transformed let me live according to that system your system your way of thinking god your way of operating your way of doing things lord let your thoughts become my thoughts let your ways become my ways i don't want to do things the way i see other people do it what makes sense what colossians 2 said nobody should deceive you through philosophy nobody should deceive you through human traditions and what makes sense to men we begin to look for things that make sense we begin to confine god to our human intellect we try to box him into our human intellect it's impossible to have a god that makes sense to us that's not god but he can elevate us to his realm and that's what he did jesus elevated us to be where he is father help me as i yield to you lord purify my heart my thoughts my ways let them be yours because out of it flow the issues of life out of those thoughts that are god's out of those ways that are gods that become embedded in my heart that then flow out of that flows the life of god in me lord help us conform us to your son jesus christ and lastly i want us to pray lord god help me to activate all that you have deposited in me through your servant dr lovey we come in day in day out we hear this teachings day in day out he imparts upon us he prays over us he instructs us there's so many deposits that we have just by virtue of being connected to this man of god and as god is preparing us and stirring us up it is time to activate those things all the things that papalo keeps saying over us all the things that papalo keeps speaking to us all the things that he keeps teaching us the the ways that he is unveiling to us the truth of the word of god that he is making plain to us we need to put them into practice lord help me to stir up those things that have been deposited in me through your servant oh god give me the grace to activate them give me the boldness to activate them for some of us it's an issue of boldness and we're just not bold we're afraid and yet the bible says god hasn't given us a spirit of fear but you're afraid that's not the spirit of god we cast fear aside we don't even look at it we don't even pay no mind fear has a voice and fear speaks so we are choosing not to even listen to the voice of fear father help us to stir up those things that have been deposited in us our sons and daughters of this ministry are sons and daughters of this grace the sons and daughters of papalo a lies generation of people off fire it is time to stir up that fire it is time to manifest that fire it is time to express that fire a lion does not give birth to a cat a lion gives birth to a lion fire has produced more fire it must produce more fire so let the fire begin to be expressed amen father give me the grace to stir it up in jesus name amen and so that's what we're going to end for today god bless you thank you so much for watching i'll encourage you to watch this again
