[Music] hey guys this is the game digest and we are finally back the year has just started and we have already been served in an awesome lineup of games of course we are back here to review them and make some guides one game in particular has been breaking the steam chars recently and many have been wondering why and how this IND the game managed to do it and this is pal world what makes the game so good and why is everybody loving it let's take a dive in and uncover what power world is and if you should jump on the band wagon as well game play pile world is an action adventure Survival game released by pocket pair right off the bat you'll start with character creation for your avatar although the choices for customizing your character are quite limited you'll still be able to express yourself and get your desired Unique Look then after you're done you'll find yourself on an island called palpus where you'll start your journey being an open world you have the absolute freedom to roam explore and decide whatever you want to do there is a small tutorial with objectives found in the upper right corner that will guide you on how to basically start playing the game the main goal is to survive players need to manage their hunger gather materials and ingredients craft tools and build their base the world is full of cute animall likee creatures called Pals which can be fought or captured you can capture Pals via pal spars which can be found almost all across the map and they can also be crafted or bought as your pals level up they become more powerful and acquire new moves each pal has a unique partner skill that you can utilize making them either a weapon or a mount however that requires unlocking the Necessary Technology and crafting the required gear like gloves for holding them and Saddles To Ride Them Pals Aid you in basically everything they will fight for you and you can use them as mounts when exploring at your base you can deploy them to help you mine Farm cook craft build and even defend your base as the need Rises these Pals help you grow your base and watching them help you brings out joy unfortunately Pals cannot evolve which many players were quite disappointed about but still as you go further in the game you will be able to breed new Pals and fuse them making them stronger and acquiring more unique ones there are also rarer type of Pals called Alphas aside from them being larger than their average version they also have powerful skills from the start they are like the shiny Pokemon and hunting for them is quite challenging they appear rarely what is great about these Pals is that they have each their own unique passive skills like some being workaholic lucky and characterized as a runner so each pal is unique in a certain way from one another you can also enhance your favorite Pals further using the statue of power you can upgrade their Max Health attack defense and work speed you will need pal souls to do so which can be picked up across the map or required by opening chests there is a limit to the number of Pals you can carry with you but you can change them using your pal box where all your captured pals are stored and revive Fallen Pals beware that Pals can get hungry too so carrying enough food is a must when you go out on a hunt or exploration there's always an elemental mechanic in the game every pal is an elemental type and learning which one is effective against another is helpful when battling high level enemies although the game is focused on Surviving capturing different Pals fusing and breathing them is a fun goal on its own and is one of the game's highest selling point home base is where you can put your pals to work and upgrading it will enable you to deploy more Pals to work one of the main objectives is to build one to expand it into a upgraded technology enables you to unlock buildings equipment weapons and mounts this can be upgraded once your main character levels up every time you level up you will gain technology points that you can spend expanding and decorating your base is fun especially if you're playing with your friends and this is one of the reasons that makes the game great once you hit the right level you will be able to craft your weapons like bats Spears bows crossbows and even guns every weapon or mining equipment is an upgraded version of its former self which is more powerful and more efficient and you can acquire them once you level up further so as for the whole gameplay experience it is fun and it can be addictive expanding your base collecting Pals capturing Alphas exploring the island fusing Pals and the full freedom to do anything that you want makes the whole game great world and exploration papagus island is vast and full of great sceneries and features a well-crafted environment it runs on Unreal Engine 5 which is excellent the map is huge offering a lot to explore you may find yourself exploring the forest desert beaches Dungeons and much more as you explore these areas you will be able to loot items like crafting materials B speres food ingredients and pal Souls chests are spread throughout each map and rarer chest need a key to open they contain gold coins SP speres pal souls and other valuable items you'll be able to find eggs across the map which you can incubate to hatch rer Pals you also stumble upon LIF monk Effigies and Gathering them allows you to level up your capture power in the Statue of power you will encounter different kinds of Pals varying in sizes and levels as there is a night and day cycle in the game different Pals appear at night so exploring in the dark is a must if you want to capture those dark type Pals fighting Pals allows you to gain experience points and acquire crafting materials one thing our team likes about the game is the different events that take place as you explore the map sometimes you may see Syndicate thugs attacking Pals and Pals fighting one another once you kill a pal you can only see an aggressive pal eating their remains and refilling its health and hunger there are also boss Pals in this game and they are quite tough and challenging be careful not to engage if you aren't prepared enough as you when you die you will lose all your loot gears and items and spawn back at your base though not to worry as you can go back where you died and get your beloved items back bosses can be captured as well and they pack powerful skills so capturing them is the best option they can respond so you can Farm the loot later if that is your main purpose about this game's end game apart from expanding your home base capturing more Pals and defeating Towers there isn't that much to do in the game at its present state but we need to consider that this is just an early access of the game and there are still tons of potential in update developments that they can do to further enhance the endgame experience final thoughts the unique mixture of a survival game and capturing monsters created an experience many players wanted for so long yes the unpolished aspects are noticeable but those are just minor and you can still have a great time either playing alone
