hello everyone in this video I'll be showing you an OP warlock build guide in balers Gate 3 this can be used for will or for yourself so will is obviously here we save Carlock so that's why we got the horns here but getting into things the Warlock is very powerful so we're obviously taking eldrich blast that is the most important can trip in the game and it's a very powerful one because we can use that without using spell slots and there's some Buffs that we can get for this as a warlock for our second one if you're the face of the party get friends cuz that's going to help out with a lot of your checks I think that minor illusion is actually pretty powerful so we're going to take that because it can group enemies together so you can drop a fireball on them and for our subass there's really two main ones that we're going to be focusing on the fiend and the great old one the arch Fay is okay um I think the fiend uh has the armor agius and arms of haar for spells that it gives you and then you get the dark one's blessing when you take an enemy out you get four temporary health points the Great old one gets dissonant Whispers as well as tash's hideous laughter and gets mortal reminder which when you get a critical hit against an enemy that creature and nearby enemies must save a wisdom saving throw or become frightened I'm going to be going with the fiend here because this one is actually quite powerful and we'll get into why in this build guide but for our two spells that we're going to be taking I personally like to have um for a spell it's nice to have hellish rebut can be a pretty good one to take just because it still allows you to deal damage on a reaction um and command can actually be quite powerful too and the reason command's so nice is you can tell you can use command come closer get a bunch of enemies to walk towards you and then just start doing blade uh spinning blades different types of attacks there we're going to completely dump our strength I actually have a mace on uh will right now that gives him 18 strength so don't even have to worry about that our main focus is obviously Charisma that's where the warlocks get their damage modifier from Constitution is also quite important and uh I like I would take a little bit higher Constitution but that doesn't give us any really difference to our constitution check so we're just going to keep this roughly around here you can bump off the dexterity to 14 though I think that that might be a smart move because it'll allow you to get a little bit more damage in and for our skill proficiencies um really just whatever is there is fine that's more so important if you're the face of your party so that's it for level one and as we get into this a little bit further this is where things get a little bit more exciting this is going to be a full 12 levels of warlock although the Warlock does pair well with like sorcerer or even Paladin I'm a really big fan of seven levels of warlock five Paladin but for our spells the armor agathys can be pretty good um I also like to use hex hex is a great warlock spell to use and what's nice about this is makes your attacks deal an extra one to six necrotic damage and gives them d uh disadvantage on ability checks of you're choosing so that can be actually quite powerful into level two we get our eldis evocation so eldrich blast add our Charisma modifier to the damage it deals that's what we we want cuz it just makes your your um your Eldridge blast that much stronger and then repelling blast is the other one so it pushes them away and you can push enemies off cliffs this is actually very powerful some of the other ones are pretty nice but I do think that those are the two best beast speech can be good if you're playing this as yourself and you don't want to go with Eldridge blast but agonizing blast adds more damage and then repels pushes it back so that is quite powerful and honestly eldrich blast is really the main damage of the Warlock you do have spells obviously but you can Blast away with Elder's blast and it's just satisfying so for level two either scorching Rays or cloud of daggers I like cloud of daggers because we can set up cloud of daggers and then command walk forwards have them walk right through it and then just start blasting them and it's great C crowd control you can set that in a doorway and Retreat and it just allows you to get a little bit extra damage off on enemies for a packed Boon this is actually quite interesting you get the pack of the chain gives you a fa spirit so you can get the quazite it's no shovel but it's close enough I personally like the pack to the blade and I want to get into why but the pack of the Tomb gives you a grimard name the bulk of Shadows which gives you three um gives you three cantrips not as good as pack of the blade though so you can create a magic weapon or you can bind your current weapon and it gives it the Charisma modifier so that's what we're going to go be going with as a warlock you're not going to be attacking a whole lot but this can be really useful especially in multiclass builds if you're a paladin with pack to the blade and um yeah you get some crazy damage output because the Charisma modifier there but that's what we're going to take for level three there and as we progress into level four this is where we get another canant trip but the can trips don't even compare to what we have in uh eldrich blast so Mage hand I would never take true strike two strike is just a waste of your time for our spells we're going to be taking scorching Ray this is another main damage one and you can upcast this hold person is another option you can go with great crowd control but we're all about that damage so ability Improvement is likely the best feat to choose here you can go with something else like spell sniper or it just reduces your CR you're it gives you a higher chance of getting a critical hit by about um 5% so that can be nice but um War cters another one allows you to hold concentration at a higher frequency and allows you to use shocking grasp as a reactor I'm going to go full ability Improvement take this up to 18 we might even just take it up another pump another Point um you want to have these as an even number I've had people flame me for not picking everything completely even before but unfortunately sometimes you can't really get that if you have The Hags hair from act one you can bump that up to 20 there's a few different items you can also grab that'll bump your charisma up so we're not going to leave that at 19 don't you worry I already see the comment coming flowing in about that but we're just going to bump that up to 19 to get as high as possible so now we get our extra attack here which is really nice so deepen pack allows you to uh the blade packed holders is what we chose get an extra attack on pack weapon this use a pair well with the Paladin I don't think it does anymore but you used to be able to do three attacks as a paladin at level 10 which is faster than a fighter really great um for a spells we get our level three spells two of the main standouts are counter spell which allows you to shut down people I prefer to take counter spell later on Fireball which is very very powerful cuz it's just an area of effect damage hypnotic pattern can be pretty decent hunger of he Hadar can create a big area of blindness and then you can fight inside that blindness if you take a different feat later on or not a feat but a u I forget what it is eldrich invocation for this um cast slow with a warlock spell besto curse armor of Shadows you can cast Mage Armor which is pretty nice uh Beast speech if you don't have it Proficiency in deception and perception persuasion that one there can be good if you're the face of your party but that's not where we are there we go that's what I was talking with so this allows you to see in darkness which is which can be quite nice I'm going to get into that build just in a second um cast one with the Shadows that can be decent gives you invisibility as long as you stand still but I really do think that devil sight makes sense especially for will look at that he's got that devil sight um and then for our spells we can take hunger of Hadar and then this is where the Warlock can get kind of crazy because you can cast that stand inside your your little hunger of had and you'll you won't be blinded but everyone else will be taken damage so pretty good spells there um as we get into level six things get a little bit more interesting as the Warlock gets another subass feature here so this time we are getting dark one's own luck so call on your Patron to change your fate at a 1 d10 to an ability check so that can be really useful especially if again you're the face of the pirate you can use that for uh any type of convers conversation you're in for a level three spell hunger of Hadar or counter spell really the best options here you can also go with whole Pur I didn't take that yet that's where we're going to go with for that level up there and uh into warlock level seven we get another Elders invocation so our spells we get our level four swells um dimension door could be nice for moving around takes an adjacent Ally with you um blight can give you a great amount of damage and this is great against plants too so there's certain parts of the game where this is going to be useful but wall of fire seems to be a pretty good crowd control CU you instead of just a big wall block enemies off we're going to take that for our first level four spell but then we can even go back and take something like fly if you go with the uh if you get the um this I don't want to spoil anything but you can get Fly later on without even having to spend anything on it so next for our next Elders invocation Um this can be a pretty good one book of ancient Secrets it gives you uh silence Ray of sickness and silence is actually really good because you become immune to thunder damage so there's certain areas in the game where this is actually really op chromatic orbs pretty nice too um one with shadows mask many faces it really depends what you need in terms of filling out your build here but uh polymorph can be pretty nice you get that and turns a creature into a sheep and you can cast with your warlock spell slots Dreadful word I think we're going to go with Dread for word cuz this gives you confusion and allows you to cast it with a warlock spell slot and this actually great it's it's kind of like Fireball of crowd control you can do it in an area and confuse a group of enemies really powerful some of these things are very underrated people don't really utilize it too much in builds as I've seen but um now into level eight we get another their feet so we're going to be taking for level three spell slot I think hunger of had we didn't take that earlier so that's kind of the best one there um in terms of what we're going to go for our next level up so we could go with something like this resilient uh gives us Proficiency in Charisma saving throws as well as gives us a plus one in Charisma to take it up to 20 um you can take this get musical proficiency that's kind of silly to do though any anything that only increases it by one is kind of Ideal we could take it and bump our dexterity up to like 15 but this when it comes to um our skills we want to have them on even numbers so we're going to look for something a little bit else I also like alert gives you plus five to initiative can't be surprised actor will increase your um Charisma but I do think that we should go with something like resilient with resilient Charisma gives you that a proficient efficiency and abilities and Charisma saving throws and it takes our Charisma up to 20 which is what we want to get that plus five to Charisma check so that's we're going to go with you can build this out differently if you took the hags hair or any of the items that will increase your charisma but that's what we're going to go with for this level here and as we get into level 9 things level 10 is really where things get really interesting for the Warlock for level five spell slot there's a few different good ones I like hold monster personally cuz you can use this on anything that's not Undead that's very powerful um flame strike can be pretty nice too it gives you a it does deal deals damage to 5d6 a fire and a 5d6 or radiant I think that this is a pretty good one uh cone of coal can be a nice for crowd control but we're going to go with flame flame strike here hold monster is another really good option though so really either of those two depends if you you need more crowd control or just more pure damage and uh I really like minions of chaos personally you can cast en leap without expending a cell slot that's okay um nja to chaos is amazing reason being Elementals can give you area of effect damage a water mamadon is incredibly useful and I think that this is great especially because you can use this on a warlock spell slot and then you can short rest get it back that's really powerful so minions of chaos conjure Elemental is really really good and I don't see enough people talking about it because it allows you to spread out aggro a little bit further typically your Elementals are going to have more Health than you as well so they survive well for our next can trip blade Ward really um bone chill can be decent prevents Target from healing until your next turn but you have to be up close with it so either of these two bone chill can be nice cuz sometimes the Warlock does get up close for our next spell hold person or hold monster if you didn't take kold kold could be the opposite uh if you didn't take flame strike you go with that and that's that for level 10 uh two more levels of Warlock and really rounding out the build here so at level 11 we get our level uh we get more warlock spell slots and then we get the Mystic arinum which gives you a level six slot once per long rest you can cast that without spending a spell slot which is really really nice so we got Circle of Death sculpted mass of spere and Tropic energy around a creature devastate all Targets target all surrounding creatures Arcane gate can be pretty nice just to get your whole team out of suers really quick I bite uh your eyes become black hord walled with teeth you be your gays capable of inflicting dread sickness or putting creatures to sleep I don't know if we can want teeth in our eyes but that that can be a pretty useful one uh flesh to Stone a trophy of foe restraining them until they temporally turn to Stone uh create Undead can be also quite nice a raise of corpse is a heinous mummy that fights by your side this can kind of change you into more of like a necromancer style of a build so either Circle a death or create Undead we get yeah a lot of different uh necromancy spells here really just depends what you think you need in terms of do you want more uh you want more crowd control and more damage reduction or do you want just pure outright damage this can be really powerful we're going to go with this one here in terms of our next spell slot we can go back and grab hold person um shatter I really do think though that something like maybe cold of cone of cold can be useful just give you some ice damage cuz we didn't have anything previously that deals that and the Warlock doesn't typically have a lot of ice spells compared to like a sorcerer or even a wizard and into our final level of warlock that's where we get our final feat which is nice to have um for our final spell that we're going to take dimension door can be great just to give you some Mobility around eldri's invocation uh life Drinker passive feature your melee attacks deal damage additional to deal additional necrotic damage equal to your charisma modifier so a nice plus five um that can be pretty useful if you don't see any of these other ones being useful for you I would I would just go with uh life Drinker cuz that could just come in handy giving you an extra plus five to damage is always nice and then for our final feat we can go and increase our dexterity a little bit or we can go with um yeah again whatever you need for your build you're going to have different items equipped so you can just see here what what you really need in terms of um for your final feat you can go with a whole lot of different things I think that spell SN is really one of the better ones cuz it just redu it just gives you a five plus 5% chance of hitting a critical hit which is actually quite nice um War weapon Master can give you Proficiency in a weapon increase your dexterity War Caster will help with your concentration I think that spell sniper is kind of the best there you do get a can trip which it can be useful um Thorn whip can be kind of nice to pull enemies maybe off of a ledge or something so we're going to go with that just for its crowd control abilities but Firebolts not too bad either and uh yeah increases our chance of hitting a critical hit so very useful and the Warlock is really all about eldrid blast you can do things such as like set up clouded daggers to block an enemy in a certain way um that's a really good concentration to have set up Hunger of AAR if you didn't use that you can use Thorn whip to pull people into it uh minor illusion to grab them together drop a fireball on them or a flame strike set up a wall of fire there's lots of crowd control and damage output that the warlock's capable of and when all else fails I'll just blast it out so that's it that's my warlock build it can be very op uh the Warlock is one of the better classes I also have a bill guide on a level seven warlock mixed with level five Paladin which allows you to do some pretty crazy damage and high damage smites so you can go check that video out too but that there it is your will build guide in balers Gate 3 thank you so much for watching if you found this video useful please hit the Subscribe button
