so we got a call for a utv that is falling into a hole up on a road uh north of duck creek up on cedar mountain so we're gonna head up there and see if we can get it we got lizzy with the weather it is not 102 degrees like it was yesterday it is about 95 degrees and we're just cruising along and it's gonna be even cooler up there because it's at like 10 000 feet you're gonna need a jacket yeah i am i'm gonna get cold we got tucker with us today i feel a little underdressed brought the running shorts it is casual friday [Music] [Music] and you are correct the fuel gauge is not working and we don't even know why we haven't looked at it because we don't have time that's why we might run out of gas it'll be okay all right we are now in cedar city we are going to stop here in a second and grab a quick lunch because we're about 45 minutes late for that and fuel up and then we're gonna head right up that mountain we're gonna go we're about 6 500 feet right now in cedar city and we're going to be going to about 10 000 feet maybe a little higher a very well we got our lunch and we're going to head up the mountain chucky you're getting a oh what's the proper way to do this you got to get your butt clear over and then your head last no no that was literally gonna compliment you i'm like wow you're getting a lot better at this we make the left turn out into oncoming traffic right right now that was a perfect merge even if i do say so myself how is it you don't need to watch me eat tucker [Music] [Music] all right we've got a problem my phone is not oh there we go we don't want this road is this a road or an atv trailer atv trail no vehicles yeah bummer because it looks fun never been on this road going up on top of that mountain right there in front of us i think yep right there i'm hoping that these roads are enough but if i see a sign that says atvs only i built it it's an all-terrain vehicle this look about right lizzy how you feeling about this all right we're gonna be making a left turn here in a second wow this is a rough road driving across the lava fields i got my tires pumped up the highway the pressure i think i got 25 in the back and 30 in the front we noticed we must be on the right trail are you guys here to rescue some people yes okay cool i was just making sure because they're stuck i don't know if you're trying to go to the top or not they're up there all right we had to turn around so we'll go get them pretty bad nice my favorite [Music] up about 150 yards oh okay so you're you're who we're looking for yes yeah yeah so i i had to back down because there's nowhere okay nowhere we can turn we'll go look at it my wife's up there okay i'll follow behind you and then i'll just back up again yeah i have definitely never been here there's one fact i know about this job we're not gonna be able to do it in four-wheel drive because we're still rocking the broken stop shaft which did arrive it arrived the second this call came in so when we get back we're gonna put the stub shaft in okay lizzy if we can't do this we're gonna have to back back down this but i'm gonna make you do it me and tucker just walk straight down there and meet you at that other camp yeah you good with that sure hello hello how are ya look [Music] that looks like it's about to come out it ain't that one [Music] that still might be enough to do it but i would hate if it wasn't i think we're gonna do that so for my 50th birthday i said i'm gonna call matt off road recovery happy birthday no so we were going up to to henry's knoll up here and then come up on this rut and i thought i was going to hit the bank and it started sliding so try to pull it back and then started getting worse going down on the on the back end and i said no okay [Music] here i really need to get one of those uh it's not that's made for these that's just the aluminum ring that goes on the soft shackle like rudy has [Music] okay well the door's not actually in line it's only half a door but i'm gonna go in like this anyway all right let's go ahead and get it started let's see what we got for controls here we've got a sport mode we've got an override does it say anything up here dps max hopefully it's good hopefully it's good for off-road if you know what dps stands for let us know in the comments because we don't okay so lizzy i want the steering wheel exactly where to put it in low range okay you can't get in any more trouble than you are right now because we unless that tree breaks turn to the right that dead tree is coming out um turn hard right all the way yep okay let's try a little pull there just get a tiny bit of gas front tires there's uh there's no there's no diff lock on this give it a tiny tiny bit of break to keep the foot on the break and just give it a little bit of gas and see if we can get this to work one more break a little more breaking a little more gas okay lizzy turn it off and jump out we're gonna we're gonna attack this entirely different man that looks lovely i'm thinking i wish that tree would have held because all our troubles would be over now i think we're pulling it straight back and we're just going to try to keep it anchored and secured enough that it won't tip over this is quite the deal they used to have a hole in this but they filled it because they thought people say why don't they reinforce the suspension on these and they do and then it makes it so they can't hold them up this doesn't give me any tipping stability but let's try it let's just see what happens here so go ahead and jump in it start it up [Music] keep your wheel crank to the right give it a tiny tiny bit of throttle but i want i want to be pulling you i don't want you to be driving i want this rope tight all the time [Music] let that wheel roll drag the brakes a little okay hold the brakes turn your wheels hard to the left hard left harder okay put it in low and try to drive so hard to left again this wheel's about to come up here so turn it hard to the right all the way i know if i can't put it in reverse and just give it a tiny bit of gas don't give it any gas okay give it the utmost tiniest bit of gas okay okay you don't want to fight if you want this wheel if it starts sliding i want the wheel turned the way it is because if you fight it it'll twist it sideways it could hook and you can roll say that again [Music] well did you get nervous no i just smashed my finger though that's it right there that's all there is to it all right easy peasy when you got the right stuff huh do you want us to back this off yeah i'll back that one up if you guys can this one off okay lizzy this one's you i was on nervousness [Music] [Music] right here awesome there you go thank you very much so we got them found pretty easy and then we got up there what did we find lizzy i want your take on this a hole a hole that when i stand in it is even with the road so it is five foot six inches deep yeah it was a pretty big hole
