it's impossible because the card that was between the two kings didn't exist yet what's going on guys spidey here welcome back to the channel and another epic tutorial this is one of my favorite it's one of my go-to somebody hands me a deck of cards i don't have to think about it i don't have to make sure it's a full deck of cards or anything like that i can go right into this it's pretty easy to do and always gets insane reactions and i'm really excited to show it to you guys today and step by step teach you guys how to do it so you can blow minds with this as well before we jump into this i do want to say this really quick the next two weeks are very very busy for me things are opening up again i'm starting to go back out there for magic which is scary but exciting i don't really know how i feel about it let me know in the comments how do you guys feel what's going on with you guys are you starting to go back out there are you still playing it safe would love to hear how you guys are doing but all this to say i don't know if i'm going to be able to upload over the next two weeks i'm going to try my best but there's a lot going on i'm going to try to work through that and upload for you guys but i apologize if i don't i will be back shortly but again i'll try we'll see okay enough about that let's look at the trick we're learning today it's spectacular it's impromptu you're gonna love it here's the performance i wanna show you guys something really impossible this right here see that card between the two kings face down you can't see what it is but you can see it look touch it you can touch it right you can you feel it it's there but it can't be there it's impossible because as crazy as this is to accept that card doesn't even exist yet i'll prove it check it out i'm going to take it like this between the two kings and i'm going to place it in the top half of the deck like that and i'm going to do this extremely slow so you guys can see right there in between the two kings i'm not gonna move that i'm not gonna change that i will even go down the cards like this and i'll do it here so you guys can all see you guys can see one king the face down card another king you see it there i'm gonna go a few more cards and i'm gonna put about half the cards or maybe a little bit less down there so that card is between the two kings i'm not going to touch it isabel i want you to name any card you see out loud anyone at all name one five of hearts this one i'm gonna set it down here and isabelle with this marker i want you to sign your name on that five of hearts right there on the face go ahead there we go autograph isabel lovely now isabel i want you to think about this this card didn't exist more than five seconds ago i mean the five of hearts did but this exact card with your signature did not exist you just created this right now you brought this into existence that's amazing watch the five of hearts it's gonna go in the middle of the cards like this somewhere in the middle like that and i'm even going to shuffle the cards like this so we have no idea where the five ends up good okay but that's not important what's important is that because you guys remember before we started i said i was going to put about half the cards down on the table with the kings right there and a card in the middle and i never showed you what that card was right and it was there the whole thing i couldn't have touched it right there's no way and there was one card in there that i said couldn't be there from the beginning it's impossible because the card that was between the two kings didn't exist yet [Applause] there it was as you saw it's this weird time paradox like what's happening i wanted to create something where it's like something that was one place the entire time ends up being something that couldn't have been there i just love that idea of like it couldn't have been there because it didn't exist and it just really stays with them and really messes with their thoughts the solution wasn't entirely mine i had to borrow a move from an amazing routine called the visitor by larry jennings for those of you who don't know it look it up learn it i will leave a link in the description of one of my favorite dvds where you can learn that and a bunch of other insanely awesome card tricks but it's a wonderful move what i learned so the larry jennings routine is quite different from mine it's one where a card travels it goes from one place to another then back to where it started in my case i just took that move and i completely changed the handling and added things to it to make this weird time paradox routine which i'm in love with and now we're going to learn it step by step so grab a deck of cards let's do this thing but before we jump to the explanation do me a huge favor hit that subscribe button turn the notifications on for more amazing magic and mentalism all right so from your deck of cards you're gonna take out the two black kings if you don't have two black kings grab the red ones if you don't have kings grab two queens grab the jokers any two cards that are similar and that they can remember and between those two kings those two black kings you're gonna put a random card it absolutely doesn't matter what it is in this case the five of spades but it doesn't matter no one's ever going to see what that card is and this is a starting position that's it the rest of the cards can be completely shuffled it doesn't make a difference they can start by shuffling them the matter you're going to call attention to that card and you're really going to build a lot of focus around this card over here go back to the performance notice how i put a lot of emphasis on it i say you can see the card you can touch the card you know it's there but that doesn't make sense it can't be there because this card believe it or not doesn't even exist yet and they go like what are you talking about doesn't it it's right there and you're gonna i know just bear with me and i'm gonna show you what i mean you say i'm gonna take the two kings around that card and i'm going to put all three in the top half of the deck so now you literally just with your thumb riffle down like this open it up at a random location near the top and throw everything in like this you you do exactly what you say you're going to do now you go through the cards and you're going to show them like you're trying to be honest you're trying to be super fair you go through like this to show them this right you say look it's there i want you to make sure of that and as you close it up the reason you're doing this is because now as you close it up you're actually going to leave your little pinky above that random card this is called the pinky break the good old pinky break i know you guys have learned this in other videos of mine but basically the way that works is as i'm showing this my right hand is grabbing all these cards from under so sort of like like this just sort of grabbing all of these and my little pinky is just going right there and then i'm closing everything on top like that so now to them from the sides from the front i mean the side is your thumb the front is this and even from the right that looks pretty good but your pinky is holding a spot directly above that card and again quickly that looks like this you spread through you say look and you can even point to it like this look there it is get that pinky above it and close the cards that's it just a little pinky now we're gonna do kind of like a force not not really a force this is from the original routine the visitors it's a really brilliant move uh basically it's a controlled cut and here's what happens you come to the side like this you're always going to keep that pinky break your thumb rifles down the side and you show them you get to that first king you say look there's one king there's the face down card there's the other king and then you go a few more you say look i'll go a few more just a little less than half the deck and now it's going to look like you're opening it up here to put you know that group of cards down but in fact what's happening is your finger is going to come here and your thumb is going to pick up at the back where that opening is and you're going to close this up as you move forward and open up at the thumb so notice how great that looks that looks like you went past all those kings and put it down but in fact you've cut it at this location you've got that random card and one of the kings here and the other king is at the bottom of that packet so you've got that pinky break once again you go down like this they could see the two kings go slow so they could see both and then you cut like this or you look like collected you put it down and they think you went past the two kings they think basically the two kings are in there with the card in the middle but this is the card in the middle and the next king is here now you turn over the entire packet you spread through like this and you say name a card that you see very important notice in the performance that i said name a card you see here's why if i say pick a card they might want to go deeper in like this and they might see that and you really don't want that but if you spread like this and you say name a card you see they have to pick one of the ones that are visible here which i love so let's say they go for the ten of hearts over here ten of hearts you take it out like this you set it down on the table and you have to get them to sign this card look you can do it without getting them to sign it it's still going to be great but the effect is so much stronger if you get them to sign it but if you don't want to ruin your cards maybe you put a little stick or a post-it on top and they sign that whatever find a way to make this very unique it's so important for the trick while they're doing that my left hand is just gonna take that deck turn it over and while they're signing there's plenty of misdirection my right thumb is gonna come over and lift one card and get my pinky under it like this that's it pinky break under one card right above that face up king like this now they've signed that ten of hearts i take it and i give that whole speech about how unique this is because you just signed it like this you created this just now this is where that time heist concept comes in because you're going you just put this into existence right now now you're going to take that card and to them it's going to look like it's going into the center of the deck when in fact we're using the tilt move and we're contacting some cards like this so that pushes out some cards out from the middle of the deck it looks like you're trying to get it into the middle of the deck but then you actually place it into that opening where you had your pinky break where you've also lifted a little so from the front it really looks like it's going somewhere in the middle but from the back it's going in the second position and now you push it in all the way like this and square up the cards so situation check we have the random card over here don't know what it is it doesn't matter then we have their card in this case that's the ten of hearts and then we have the face up king we have to get rid of this top card it's not necessary anymore very simple to do that you turn your body to the right and you do what's called a milk shuffle what that means is the hands go up like this the right hand comes over and grabs the packet like this and the left hand contacts the top and bottom card thumb here fingers here and you're going to start a shuffle but on the first one notice how i squeeze from both sides and as i come up like this i'm pulling both the top and the bottom card down like this so i'm getting both that top and that bottom card i'm getting rid of this card essentially and now i'm shuffling these cards to the face a little bit and then i'm dropping all of these on top like this and now what i've done is exactly where i want to be i've got their selection at the top and the king is face up under it and they never saw that king now i tell i bring their attention back to this packet and as i do that i'm gonna just come over here i'm gonna grab a random number of cards but very few maybe like six or seven so i'm just going to come over here i'm going to lift a little bit like this really not much maybe 10 at most my pinky is going to go in there see down here and i'm going to close it up on top this takes a second it's basically getting a pinky break under at most 10 cards so again you you do the shuffle you come back here and it's just lift and get your pinky under there like this that's it as you bring their attention here and say this is what's important remember this packet that's what's important now here's what's going to happen you're going to grab this packet and the action of squaring it up you're going to add this little packet to those cards so as you grab this like this from top and bottom you're going to come over here don't make this an intentional motion like i'm putting these cards down pick it up and it's like you're going over to it to square up and as i come up over here basically because i've got that pinky break it's very easy to come here and add all the cards above the pinky there and just do this so again we had it at that king like this i grab it and i go this is what's important remember earlier i put down this packet with about 20 cards and that's it i just added that little bunch of cards this can now go away now notice what's happened now to them it looks like this never moved that i had a packet of cards and those kings were always there with that card in the middle but i just added all this to that so now i really build this i say remember i put these kings out and you even saw it in the performance they're building up that like no there's no way and i say from the beginning there was this one card between the two kings you saw it you felt it it was there the entire time i never touched it but i told you it can't possibly be there and the reason for that is that it didn't even exist yet and you turn over their signed card that was somehow between the kings even before they picked it or signed it and guys this destroys their minds i'm sure you could see how it's a beautiful piece and i hope you guys get some insane reactions with it there it was guys i hope you enjoyed it let me know in the
