NOBODY Will Figure Out How You Did This IMPOSSIBLE Trick! Mentalism/Magic Tutorial Revealed!

you're randomly thinking of one card in a loud clear voice say what the card was eight of diamonds eight of diamonds yes oh my god [Music] nobody will ever figure this trick out i'm totally serious there's a lot of really great magic out there you could learn amazing mentalism and magic on youtube whether it's on my channel or other channels you can go to magic shops and buy some really really amazing stuff as well but when it comes to pure deception if you do the trick that we're learning today in this video nobody will ever know how you did it the other great thing about this trick is that you can absolutely do it virtually you could do it live no problem but it also works really really well virtually and i'm gonna tell you all the different ways that you can do this depending on your setting but the best thing about this trick is that it's technically really really easy i mean technically you're not doing anything there's no difficult technique where it gets a little more challenging is you have to be very good at presentation because presentation is everything without any further ado i want you to see a performance of this and be fooled by it yourself so this week i did a live stream with a friend of mine anna rose she's an amazing hypnotist and at the end of the stream i performed it for her here is that performance i'm gonna try something and emma rose before i do this let's make something very clear nothing's set up i didn't tell you ahead of time to think of something a specific way or to have a card in your mind or to write down something or to tell me anything you don't know what's gonna happen all i've asked you to do is to bring the deck of cards to that we can use for this right correct okay um so you've got that deck of cards yes okay grab the deck of cards take it out of the deck but hold the deck face down that way nobody could see any of the cards we can't see the pieces we can't see the back so hold it just like this face down out of the box got it now do me a favor onto the table start dealing cards into a pile face down one card at a time go ahead start doing them into a pile exactly like that but the cards don't have to come from the top they come from the middle the bottom anywhere you want one at a time though and you stop whenever you want totally your call so one card at a time right onto that pile exactly and when you are done you stop whenever you're happy okay perfect okay good you sure you like that many do you you wanna add some more i think i'm good okay because i mean here's the thing later on you're going to be like oh man i should have added more totally up to you though if you don't want to it's okay are you influencing me i'm not it's not left you can stop right there if you want i'll do one more cool i was hoping to do that do you want to take it back because how do you feel like i influenced you to do that ah shut up you want to stop there okay put the cards that are in your hand away we don't need them anymore the ones that are in your hand yeah those are gone take the pile that you dealt onto the table into your hands yeah stick it onto your hands and deal two piles like we're playing a card game so one one one one one until you're done and i'll turn away because i don't want anyone to think that i'm trying to see the cards from the camera angle so just deal them into two piles until you're done back and forth alternating okay you've done that yeah okay now i know can we agree that there's absolutely no way i could have possibly known how many cards you were going to take out when you were going to stop where those cards are going to come from i cannot know anything about the cards that are in front of you right right okay i'm going to turn away again i want you to look at the top card of either pile totally up you don't do it yet wait till i turn away and you're going to look at the top part of either pile and you're going to set it back down okay i'll turn away like this go ahead look at the top part of either pile remember it yep set it back where you got it yep put one either pile over either other pile okay and then put those cards away with the rest of the deck okay guys if i can know her card right now you guys would have to admit that that is insane because anna rose even you didn't know which cards you were gonna get you randomly dealt some cards the deck was shuffled by you and you you just randomly thought of a card right yeah let's see okay focus on your card imagine it like right at the front of your mind um i'm gonna go with this i'm gonna go with this anna rose there are the odds of me getting this right are are very low this is basically a gut shot it's just what i'm feeling okay okay oh actually no wait i just saw it i'm wrong i'm wrong i just you know i just got a flash i just got a flash your card is black right no oh really oh it's just me can it's good for a second i was doubting myself i'm gonna stick to this i'm gonna stick to this um oh okay i'm nervous and i was you it was your deck of cards you never showed me any of the cards you mixed the deck took out some random cards you picked a card at random i had my back turns there's no way i can know this you're randomly thinking of one card in a loud clear voice say what the card was eight of diamonds eight of diamonds yes oh my god that was crazy i don't have to watch that tutorial later wow that was really good thank you now we're gonna jump into the explanation where i'm gonna teach you step by step everything you need to know about this trick but before we do that do me a huge favor guys hit that subscribe button turn those notifications on for more amazing mentalism and magic content now before we jump into the explanation as you guys know it's very important for me to give you the history of the tricks that i teach and i always appreciate those of you who understand how important it is to know the history because knowing where this came from and how it evolved really makes us much better at doing these tricks so in the 50s al leach released a trick called the spectator does a trick this was a beautiful piece where the spectator handles the cards and at the end there's an amazing payoff this was later popularized and modified by daryl and he created a magical masterpiece that became a staple for a lot of magicians all over the world i first learned it in a dvd called easy to master card miracles volume 4. guys listen to me this series by michael amar is insanely good every dvd including this one has 11 or 12 tricks that you can do with a normal deck of cards relatively easy but they're all insane and volume 4 is my favorite one all the tricks on here are incredibly strong it's also available in download format so i will leave a link in the description to both where you can get the dvd and the download guys listen to me listen trust get this just trust me as for me a couple of weeks ago i was doing a virtual show and before every show i do a sound check where i test a couple of audience members their camera their sound just to make sure everything looks good and in this particular show i needed to do something with a deck of cards but in their hands it wasn't this trick it was something else and i said uh hey do me a favor just want to make sure everything looks good hold up the cards to the camera i just want to see that the lighting is okay and the person just went yeah sure does that look good and it clicked in my head i realized wait a second this just seems totally innocent it seems like we're doing a sound check but i can get some information about their deck of cards and they will never realize that this has to do something with the trick so for me that was a flash of genius and that's exactly the reason this fools everyone because in the virtual space and you don't have to do it this way you can do the whole thing in one shot but if you mask the secret as part of sort of like a sound check then no one will realize and even anna rose who understands mentalism and magic and she's in that world even after we were done filming she said i had no idea that that part where you asked to see my deck of cards had anything to do with the trick so right now i'm going to show you guys what happened before we went live i was talking to anna rose i was telling you what we're gonna do in the live you're gonna see exactly what i said to her about the deck of cards okay so anna rose we're gonna go live in a few minutes we're just gonna talk about hypnosis and stuff uh but you know i might want to do a card trick at some point for the subscribers so you have a deck of cards you said right i do okay grab that deck and uh take it it's in a box take it out of the box mix it up that way there's no conceivable way i could possibly have manipulated the order or anything like that now i want to make sure everything looks good on camera so do me a favor hold up the deck like this so that i could see the bottom card to the camera exactly and then hold it in your left hand like this so yeah and then start showing me the cards like this i really want to make sure it's very clear yeah keep going keep going keep going okay yeah the lighting looks really good so keep it there when when we're doing anything with the cards you want to either keep it there or on the table does that make sense okay okay perfect so yeah you keep it in the order that it is now put it in the box we don't need it we don't need it right now and then during the stream when i ask you for a deck just grab that deck does that make sense sounds good wonderful so as you noticed that phase just looked like i was asking her to see her cards just to make sure it looks good and that's exactly how you're gonna do it you could come up with any excuse i just wanted to see if the jokers were in there i wanted to see if your focus is good if your lighting is good they're just showing you the deck of cards but in reality you need to remember one very important thing you need to remember the top two cards which is why and this is where your presentational skills come in handy you're gonna have them take the deck out hold it up like this in their left hand you say hold it up to the lens and start showing me all the cards one by one like this and when anna rose did it this is exactly what i saw she had a seven of clubs and an eight of diamonds at the top and you notice how casual it is she's showing me the cards i'm going yeah okay that looks good and then you know you can see something like turn on the lights a little that looks great perfect now do me a favor put that deck away put it aside don't touch it we're going to use it later it's important to say that because you don't want them to start messing around with it and switch that order those two cards need to remain at the top of course it won't be these two you have to remember what you saw so either write it down or grab your deck and take them out right away you don't absolutely have to do this process separately with one spectator before everybody else gets there it makes the trick a heck of a lot more deceptive but no one is going to figure it out even if they see that process because they don't know what you're looking for it just looks like you're looking at the deck to make sure everything's cool i've done this live i did that in front of everyone everyone knew i did that and they were still extremely fooled in fact anna rose was fooled even if she knows we did that if you're doing the trick live then quite simply all you have to do is take a deck of cards or take your own deck of cards give it to them have them shuffle it and when you take it back just say oh i want to make sure the jokers aren't here and that's it you just look at the two top cards basically whatever you do before you start this trick you need to know what the two top cards are in this case seven of clubs and eight of diamonds great so now all you know about their deck of cards is that the two top cards are the eight of diamonds and the seven of clubs so when it's time to do the trick you're gonna tell them uh hey take grab you have a deck of cards you said you had a deck of cards grab your deck of cards we're gonna try something now don't have them open the box yet because you had them put it in a box because if they open it their hands might want to fiddle they might start shuffling it and everything is ruined so have them hold on to the box and just say something like by the way nothing is discussed you don't know what's gonna happen i didn't ask you to think of a card nothing like that all those statements are true you have them take the cards out and you say i want you to start dealing them into a pile on the table one at a time now notice the way i talk i don't stop there i keep talking just this is again the reason you need good presentation because if you say put them one at a time and they and then you stop and then you keep going it's weaker basically it has to look like this i want you to start dealing cards one at a time from the top of the deck into a pile on the table go ahead and start one at a time one on top of the other face down and by the way you could take the cards from the middle the bottom wherever you want notice how i waited for her to drop at least two cards before i said that part but it can't seem like you're waiting so don't do this don't say okay i want you to start dealing cards on the table one at a time oh and by the way they could you don't want it to be that way make it seem like it's one fluid thought do that they do that they do that now they stop this is really deceptive even if they know you saw the cards to them that looks like they just chose a bunch of random cards and it's really really strong now i like to play with them a little bit psychologically i like to say things like are you sure you want to add some more because you're going to say to yourself later gosh i should have added two more and you saw how that plays they usually laugh they go oh you're messing with my head so they might take one back they might you know add to whatever it doesn't matter now you very clearly tell them to put the cards that are in their hands away you're not going to need those so they put those away now they're left with this so even if that looks really random the two cards that were at the top are now at the bottom we're gonna bring them back to the top by having them deal this into two piles so you say grab that pack and deal it into two piles and they do that and you could turn away once you've made sure that they started doing this the right way so now they're here now i don't know where the seven of clubs in the aid of diamonds is because i've turned my back furthermore when when they're going to look at one i'm going to turn my back again so i don't know which one they're going to look at but i'm going to tell you exactly what you're gonna do with that so now i know she's thinking of either the eight of diamonds or the seven of clubs but i have no way of knowing which one now for all the professional magicians who are watching this if you're familiar with dr himber or colonel zeefold uh there's a really great way to use their work here so that you will immediately nail exactly what the card is without the chance of failure but if you guys want to do this straight up with nothing but a deck of cards here's the way i do it and this is a really cool process that i came up with that looks like i'm gonna nail the card on my side of the screen i'm gonna go through the cards and i'm gonna get the eight of diamonds one of the two so by the way after anna rose showed me her deck of cards i grabbed the eight of diamonds and seven of clubs and i put them right at the top that way i wouldn't forget them so i go through like this then i drop it off screen and i take the aid of diamonds like this and i go i believe this is your card i'm confident that's your card then i stop and i look at her like oh no wait a second no no wait a second i just saw something else i'm getting something else now i think i messed this up and by the way this is very normal for mentalists and psychics it makes it more believable because you're not sure you're seeing things it's through a screen so i go no i'm not sure hold on let me ask you this and i name something about that card that isn't true about this card and we'll go into more detail about that but for right now this is red that's black so i say this i go you're thinking of a black card aren't you and look at what's gonna happen here if she says no i go oh great then i'm really glad i went with this one so it's almost like i was just making sure it's not a fail it's very psychic-y to do that kind of thing and besides in a moment i'm gonna show this card and her brain is gonna stop but what if she says yes i i was thinking of a black card here's what i would say i would go i'm this is the one oh no wait i just saw something yeah you're thinking of a black card aren't you she goes yes i go ah i thought so i'm so glad i got that flash uh here we go okay i'm gonna go with this so now i change it based on this vision that i had so now there's only one question left to answer what if their top cards aren't red and black well any two cards have something that distinguishes them maybe one is even one is odd maybe one is a court card like a jack queen king the other one is not maybe one's a diamond and the other one is a spade whatever makes them different that's what you're gonna do so let's see here i'll shuffle my cards for example and i'll show you randomly the two top ones so okay that's red and black we'll keep going okay both of these are red right a five and a two so in this case if these were the two cards i would do the same thing but i would take the two and i would say okay this is your card oh now wait a second oh wait a second i just i just got a glimpse of something uh you're thinking of an odd card aren't you and because the five would be the odd one so if they say no i'm not i go oh great i'm glad i went for this one then and if they say yes i go i thought so you know what i almost messed this up and i just grabbed the five there it was guys i hope you guys enjoyed that and i know that if you just
