LOCKED TRUNK! Deceased owners left it full of treasures. We bought it at the storage locker auction.

all right let's see what's in here boom do you see what's below those postcards no could have your jewelry box dude that looks like a jewelry box dang it got better huh a whole bag full of postcards previously on locker nuts i teamed up with my good buddy manual to buy a storage locker online we paid thirty five hundred dollars because we were both intrigued with how much dust and cobwebs this locker had as well as the old boxes and trunks it was a big gamble but we're excited to see what we find it turns out the locker had been sitting for at least 15 years and the owners recently passed away there are many interesting vintage finds but the best score so far was two boxes of silver age comics we found this adventure has barely begun and in this episode we're going to open up one of the mysterious trunks and see what treasures might be stored inside let's go with this one oh this one's heavy heavy that could be good right yeah look at that lock though gold bars on a trunk which qualifies it as a locked trunk even if it is not attached all right let's see what's in here boom okay this looks really good okay by the way it is very heavy um whoa okay maybe we should put up here put on the table yeah see anyone get one sure yeah damn that is heavy huh yeah it is stuff's dirty okay all right this is really good look at this that looks like me after editing a youtube video late in the night there's alex working at the flea market no we need a couch yeah it's pretty somebody got some skills look at the bugs yeah yeah nice that's nice how do you value this i know that's that carved wood that's what it looks like huh yeah gold paint over it that's pretty hmm another piece matching pieces all right wall hangers like this with the birds that probably took a long time to make man yeah probably there's a hand carved i think so oh dragon that's maybe a little better it goes like this or is he a horse i see a dragon face but i don't know what he is neat that's neat this is like first of all this is going to take us forever every little thing is amazing that's pretty cool there's probably value on me yeah you guys know the value on this kind of stuff let us know if you got input no guesstimates please only only if you know because we don't know i appreciate the knowledge look at this thing that could be expensive and we don't even know you know it sure is beautiful this doll looks really old right here no oh yeah it does look cool for sure it's cool we've got some oh this well this one's in a frame look some scrolls that's cool man this one's heavy and this is cool it's not what i was thinking really of this locker i know you need an extra handle i mean might need an extra few feet that's cool dude that's a pretty cool thumbnail right there tell the truth yeah it's pretty bad you might want to go back and take a screenshot it's up to you though you know yeah it's pretty cool i think uh i mean i don't know is this something was this a will or something we don't test it who knows hey siri what does that say not quite there yet huh you know what's interesting look at this look i say these pictures check this out it's like they were giving the lady you see they're handing her like a scroll and then there she is oh so i don't know it could be worth something you know yeah look at that i don't know man i mean we find a chest with spoons i mean the family's given some scrolls that weren't valuable and this would be where you keep it on thing yeah take care of it this kind of stuff and a drawer of your dresser maybe that's pretty cool how they're all tied up huh yeah very formal have you ever found scroll before or no i've never found a square uh uh oh this is neat it looks older huh yeah it does you could almost see like a watermark or something right here maybe it's handmade paper or something those ain't prints huh it's not print that's crazy there is really like talk too that's why i'm going slow it's like really wound up tight this is beautiful look at that it's a watercolor i think with ink that's pretty nice man that's stupid huh imagine how long it takes to do that you know oh wow these are beautiful this is uh it's about as good as it gets i think pretty much huh because we're finding those treasures here we're finding stuff that's unique old history valuable you know what these scrolls could be crazy old you know we don't even know all the other stuff was like what something from the 40s 50s you know how crazy would it be if they uh passed stuff down through generations and and then one generation didn't have kids then buck stops here and you know we passed away and locker goes up for often what is this this is fireworks or incidents oh this is too pain yeah made out of bamboo huh that's pretty bad dude i've never seen those before i tell you huh this is what they paint those things with huh the letters and everything yeah along with brushes that's pretty that's another watercolor you think they did it themselves i don't know that's sort of skill it's got the asian mark right here look at it it's like dusty inside the yellowing here is maybe a condition issue that's pretty amazing though you think should we look for cash in your bag look special huh this is kind of stuff you want to go get a praise you know i know take it to like two different auction houses just to make sure yeah this is some famous painters mark that stuff is beautiful it's not a it's not like intro to watercolors 101 class to the community college right this is a i don't know to me it looks like true art to talent look at that man that's bad eh man what do you think i think we scored on this i mean look at that's like dude that's nice seriously man it's so nice what do you think that's great it could be money huh could be the stuff because it's foreign it's hard to uh a phrase even we have to find an expert i think that uh that michonne's could help us i wouldn't sell through them but dude they paid on this unit once a year right yeah people had money they're asian from san francisco and it's been in here what 15 years yeah dude they could they could you know you know chinese have like a rich um history like they know they could go back you know how we're like two thousand years or whatever yeah their thing their lineage thing whatever goes back to like four thousand years they got records and stuff and stuff i did my glasses oh thank you like four thousand four thousand years or something like that they got this rich history or whatever yeah and um who knows they could be something from like you said like from their parents parents or whatever you know yeah interesting man super super interesting look at this it's like oh it is a view master i would say it looks like a view master it is a view master i think it's a very old view master you know usually they come with the red right yeah there's some slides or whatever these slides are expensive too we sold some in our auction regular pictures yeah looks like a buildings oh wonders seven more wonders of the world all right three-dimensional pictures there's more right here too that's cool these are um these are also very reflectable oh jack there might be some more art in here man seriously it's all taped up look 1942 1946. that's neat i don't know if this kind of stuff there after or not but there's certain postcards that they get very very collectible look at that that picture picture's different huh that's very nice look at that that's kind of a neat picture of the the old building in the background this looks definitely 50s or earlier that's nice hope that rugs in here that looks pretty awesome very nice must have been the parents you getting excited or what yeah i know huh what should we do with those stuff take forever best negatives there there's a little bit more prince black and white tons of them there's an old that's from santa cruz well you're them i don't see a year but this could be uh i would say this guy be at least 80 years old this is santa cruz also mystery spot how funny mystery spot old old cards i mean these are not too old 50s probably still neat though i love seeing that stuff because it doesn't look like that anymore so tahoe el dorado sacramento it's cool huh yeah that's it these are these all postcards these are all postcards oh my goodness these are like the souvenir ones where it's a pack of postcards on those we found those before 1942. that's cool well they'll have to come to the auction right to see them all yeah i think we should auction these yeah this will be good in the auction we have post card collectors that come to the auction for sure i love them slugger got better huh yeah oh but oh do you see what's below those postcards no just holding this nice oh man dude look at this maybe i went the wrong way with it go sideways this way right right now this way pull towards you no yeah it is i think i just pulled that out there i just need to tighten it there we go it's very delicate i don't think it's been open in a long time it's got a little spider webs inside okay i think it's a spider web maybe not is that oh is that a painting is that the sun or is it the spider web there's like like a sun or a moon or something oh okay the paint's blood that's too bad wow that's pretty cool yeah this thing's not been open in a long time it does not come willingly look i don't want to say anything watch move that box look at the world look at the top of the box oh that's is that jade i don't know there's a sound of wood one it's just suddenly not very interesting but this is the first thing we've done i've been like dang that's hecka cool the other two are even better does it feel colder it is heavy does it feel cold no yeah it doesn't okay dude this box is heavy i'll put it here just because that's pretty cool this could be good 1943 it's 1928 so okay my eyes are not good 18. that's old 1918. there'll be a 1943 in there yeah there's a new one 57. we got some earlier and some later so i'll go through those later 39 that could be in 1943 and everyone this locker's been here for 15 years you know oh here's a list of what they got oh bang no no no 1943's but i don't know maybe some of these ones are worth money hey but if they collected pennies they probably collected other type of coins you know could be down here who knows damn it got better huh name let's see some more scrolls crabs frogs see there's tons of them where do a whole bag full of postcards they're all older too huh they're very old i think these are like posters yeah it's like done with charcoal or something let me just paint i don't even know where to begin christmas stuff i know huh five seconds 1946. i can't imagine it was that much money even back then all right let's call it oh yeah there's there's a box down here i know there's a box right here too is this another scroll two or no yeah i think so yeah that's nice that's what i was expecting the other one look like huh yeah should we check the bottom one what do you think yeah at least yeah cause that could be something completely different this one looks older too look at the wood on that look at that there's tons dude how dude look at that thumbnail man how often do you find that a chest with a bunch of old scrolls you know what i mean a locker that's been saving 15 years that's crazy i've never found one that's pretty cool man i mean i was nervous about spending that much money but now you feel better like oh oh yeah yeah okay it's not even just you know how much money we're gonna make is the adventure this this one was worth the admission price right right look at that that's beautiful it's like a whole set of uh fine prints is it prints or is it i would think it would be just because it's kind of listed yeah what they are but i don't know but some of these other ones are yeah yeah i'm curious what's in this this is from over here too some books this is kind of fancy hmm there's some paper a bunch of prints yeah they're all numbered like this number 12. see page 20. it's like a book but it's not bound so you can frame them 38 i have a thing that's going to be worse than money yeah it seems really high-end i know huh can i get a starting bid i'll definitely have to have a minimum on this one it's gotta be something special it comes in a box like this yeah man this is pretty cool man that's tight that's what that's what we like to see these are all books right here i think so yeah i just won let's see one it's also old 1900 it says or is it 19 8 or who knows trying to rip that paper because i can't imagine very many of them these have those papers still here oh this is a little different isn't it huh is this a sketchbook probably and this is hand done maybe this person was a famous artist or something you know it could be you don't know this looks like a stamp the red thing those looks like the other ones we saw like the ones you opened up with the crabs and it's pretty cool how do we sell this no no because the people who know the value are going to try to get it for nothing yeah you know and that's their that's their profession all right you guys are you liking that video are you liking this locker that trunk i think that was the best trunk that i've ever found in any locker we find quite a few trunks and usually i'm excited to open them and uh usually they're a big fat disappointment so this trunk however that was not disappointing that really might hold some treasures it's really impossible to tell but we did find old postcards i know we can sell those we found some old pennies that's always exciting the old scrolls and the watercolors and stuff that stuff manual and i are kind of stumped as to the value on this on these items so we're going to bring them in to get appraised now here's the deal with these types of items manual and i have a very similar philosophy we have no rush no rush on getting those items sold so we want to take our time because these could be big money items those could be a thousand dollars each should be twenty thousand dollars each we really don't know they could be ten dollars each i'm not sure but we do want to take our time to make sure that we find out the uh you know approximate value on those and see if we have any real treasures so um so far what have we found that's really really exciting in the first two episodes you saw us find comic books if you haven't watched those episodes man go back and watch them silver h comics the real deal super exciting this one old scrolls uh chinese art uh really really cool stuff there's another find i said there was like three main things that we found i thought i was gonna get in this video but this one
