LALANDE'S BRIDGERTON EASTER SPECIAL!!!

[Music] hi i'm stephanie and this is my home the 16th century chateau de la land la land was owned for hundreds of years by a family of marquis who were at the heart of french royal life one of them even had the honor of being sent by king louis xv to greet marie antoinette on her arrival in france but far from being a stuffy museum this chateau is a living home i live here all the time and i'm regularly joined by my mother my family my friends and wonderful volunteers from all over the world who helped me to lovingly restore this historic home welcome to la land a chateau filled with life love and laughter happy easter from la land everyone we are all running around getting easter ready and oh my goodness philip the east table is amazing i think you might have outdone yourself yeah yes look at the chandelier well uh omni and nettie house fantastic you're a genius look at you easter bunnies of brilliance look at maggie's flowers they're so spring-like and lovely and wild i like that it really feels as though the garden has come in that's exactly what you wanted whoa and hang on i've just noticed something phillip what you've only gone and done it you've used the yellow mius charger plates yes finally their moment of glory has arrived and we've got the bunny napkins the faberge eggplates superb they look so good and you've used the mismatched uh top plates that we've got i can see the bernardo one here that oliver bought me i love that and every single person has their own little easter lint bunny waiting for them when they get back from the cold walk outside i say cold but it's actually really sunny so you two easter bunnies you're preparing for the egg hunt and you're hiding the eggs with steve is that right and he's waiting outside it's actually really weird for me because this is the first year that we haven't had nick as the easter bunny in all the years that i have been at la land you're putting all of the little sweets that we've got in caddo at the chateau oh yes because i've got andy yeah andy's so good yeah we have a small problem with eggs in this house because as usual i ordered a lot of eggs i ordered in fact probably close to 100 eggs if you include the little sort of cadburys creme eggs and things that i got and they were supposed to come from england i ordered them well over a month ago and i was told that they were stuck at customs because of brexit and i was really hoping they'd get here on time but then a couple of days ago i received a message saying great news your box is past customs and is on its way to you and they're not here which i presume means that on tuesday we are going to receive a hundred easter eggs do you know last year natty i hope so i would check the expiration date we're going to have a big chocolate fondue otherwise aren't we so because of that we didn't want to go out and buy another 100 eggs so we're using all of the little plastic things that matty was so cross at me for buying a couple of years ago and the great thing is that we can reuse these year after year and put all of the amazing chocolates that we've received from andy and also from caddo at the chateau yes so many from color at the shop and the animals i love the whole table for that but i think my favorite thing is the chandelier oh thank you um nettie and ali helped it's beautiful quite dutch actually because usually we have like branches yeah an easter tree yeah the finish the peacocks are coming to celebrate easter with us too hello i know it's all happening in here isn't it this is the place to be i feel so out of my comfort zone uh well you are the most beautiful easter bunny we need to get you some ears i need some ears too we both need ears good luck thank you it's so strange that nick and michael aren't there doing this with you but they did at least send us little easter messages happy easter everyone we had put this beautiful chicken for everybody to eat it together with us but the borders are closed we're not going to make it so we will have to eat it all on our own happy easter happy easter everyone i hope you have an amazing easter egg hunt i'm so sad that i'm not going to be there this year it's the second year that i'm missing eastern london it's tragic hopefully next year we'll be back and i'll be hunting for eggs in the forest in the meantime i've got this one to keep me company well he's not here no he's not here it's such a heavy wow look at this collection oh my goodness we got red and so i popped the white in the fridge yeah white rose yeah yeah they're pretty cold from the cold room anyway and i think there's two sweet wines yeah as well so wow this is so nice did you go to this winery uh well we went to a special wine store and they had these coffee and i thought that way you both loved the dardon didn't you when you went to stay in miranda's house as well so i thought i'd bring back a little memory for you too as we well to go back yes yes me too very much so and maui's been sorting out these which we received at caddo is so ingenious and you're going to make a white wine spritz on one side aren't you yes so if we just use the ordinary box white wine for this one yeah and then water and then we can have those in the fridge and have those attacks should i put the little texture yeah you love putting tags on everything if it's potato i'm you're wearing my favorite onesie oh my god yeah geek that's my favorite one oh it's very yellow yeah i really like that one very hot yeah well i was gonna wear a onesie but i decided to wear my pixie dress oh have everyone seen it uh no this was a gift last summer in caddo at the chateau yeah i've been waiting for the perfect moment but i think it's arrived right okay like you look very colorful what you did here i haven't done anything it's nutty oh yeah she's in a spirit of easter right yeah i'm really looking forward to trying these good they're amazing dolce gabbana and fiasco narrow cakes we had no idea until these arrived in caddo at the chateau for us that dolce gabbana had actually partnered with fiasco to make a range of cakes and these stunning cake tins and we told ourselves we weren't allowed to touch them until easter sunday are we having those today yeah we're going to have them as a quick snack before going out okay just like a little bite of cake each yes and then we'll go out then we'll get changed into the bridgeton outfit oh my god we have another outfit today yes i'm so excited okay i'll put these in the fridge yeah i found something better than the tax oh you found the sticker book ticket box and i think the water one should have this it says you are enough oh yes that's perfect for water yes you are enough yes yes if you drink wine be someone who inspires us actually fantastic guess what i'm going to drink today you're going to be very inspirational today ready i was born ready for the easter egg you look amazing amazing later it looks superb i can't wait yeah also look andy nattie look what we get to have so we can have i thought a little slice on our way down to the woods to give us a bit of strength yeah i wanted to open both but minnie mommy says no we can keep this until almost this year keep it like this okay as we have the entire thing there plus all the chocolates so do you think we should choose this chocolate one or do you think we should do it but i don't mind what do you two prefer well i put foreign i look in the window hello how are you oh yes so we we think that the easter bunnies have hit a hurdle you look amazing we're about to have a bit of cake we'll bring it to the entrance hall natty and i really want to try the chocolate one but we have admitted half-heartedly but we have admitted there's gonna be too much chocolate today anyway so andy's right let's go for the almond one yeah [Laughter] tigger wins it does look beautiful doesn't it look at those huge almonds yes what is it supposed to be it's supposed to be a dove it's a columba cake it's a very funny looking i think it's more like an um a tree foil yeah but it's a dove so let's use our easter imagination okay let's see this is the eyes i literally cannot be done i can see like a cookie monster with the two eyes here and then a little mouth bunny time bunny up diesel well that is superb no i don't think he's enthusiastic excellent and that was the missing touch to your outfit as well yeah it's just exactly much much better i want to get out though i want to find some eggs a very slow easter bunnies this year and now they're two last year we had just one of course nick did everything on his own last year he takes it very seriously yeah i think the problem might be that philip and steve are also taking it very seriously [Laughter] and meanwhile deep in the woods little jeffrey the gnome we'll keep an eye on this egg i think i think we find sprouts home we asked everyone to um find names for our little gnome the gardening gnome we picked the one that was sprout because it's a gardening gnome and i think he will do an excellent job of taking care of the two eggs eggs i might say it's quite hard to hide the eggs because you don't want it to be too obvious we also want to still make sure that people can still find them so i mean it's not too bad is it mary here we are yes this is everyone should be clapping now it's so amazing it looks like brilliant it does looks so good just go crazy nazi grab a piece i bet you do yeah should we share this with the others [Music] two [Laughter] day very important day yes [Laughter] um so we are going to go to the blue belt fields yes so apparently there aren't any blue belts there are there are some oh good really yeah fair enough that sounds like every year have fun right well let's follow the white rabbit down the rabbit hole i really like the fact that you're wearing basically antenna instead of they're designed to take so is steve going to be telling you where the eggs are hidden do you have an unfair advantage [Laughter] what a beautiful bunch of people i don't know what's weird about this um i just don't know how to describe it to be honest you just want to be wonderful with funniest yeah i love everyone's outfit it's really weird but he was like let's make sure that none of the ladies are wearing heels yeah oops yes what we're not supposed to go i can't believe she's got an egg already and the blue bells have started to come out it's not quite a whole carpet of them yet oh but it's beautiful i didn't think we'd have any this year with uh easter being so early this is the beginning any instructions nope free for all it's that way uh there's somewhere in the trees for example but also just like randomly in the ground so all right let's go in between the bars strange creatures darting through the undergrowth i spot one pikachu one tigger a golden one i think that's the best one what's in this one i like these i don't wanna have one of those now i can't believe the weather we're having it's golden sunlight coming through the trees and hitting bluebell i have found a lint chocolate bar it might not be exist yet but that chocolate is good how's it going sarah you got one so much for my uh my secret advantage over there yeah secret advantage i think you're not pulling your weight i've been over here the trees have actually grown most unusual chocolate bar shaped flowers this year very very unusual i'm delighted by the new ones but it looks as though the bees are sticking to the more traditional flowers i spotted one that i forgot about you're giving me naughty little hints well there's one that i forgot about i'll take it because there's no one there anymore okay can we do hot and cold well if you stand here oh maybe no i don't think i'm gonna find it if you stand here i can see it i can see it oh my god i can see it i'm on my way i'm just terrified that someone's gonna dart in front of me it's a yellow one as well what's in this one beautiful little egg are the antennae working ian they are very well the radar ears have been very good oh let's have a look how much is in that bag oh you have done well i think i've done it badly too yeah yours is very good growing up in the trees i just keep getting distracted though by how beautiful it is i'm wanting to take video it's so stunning and you know a week ago they hadn't started and so i thought that we wouldn't have them this year the past four or five days of sunshine it's just yeah explosion of course it's meant to be yeah definitely how many does pikachu have i don't know i think they could choose winning they could choose winning that was very very sweet of you ian thank you using your antenna for the good of others it is actually way harder because we're looking for tiny eggs in quite high bluebells but how i mean like i'd suggest looking how how if i wasn't standing right above it exactly you're supposed to look taffy from maine yes they just keep hiding in plain sight good job steve this is an excellent hunt you brought one with you how did you do selma well i yeah i found a lot by casey sarah oh this one is really really he said you have that one he's super cute and i keep this one yes and where's diesel how did he get on did he find many yeah directly eat him up he lost his ears oh well it happens to the best of us i have the year sorted i think we can honestly say that natty is the clear winner look wait wait wait i have the two bunnies nice and a lot of eggs mind you andy is a close second very close because you've had no more space no way that was your mistake yes too small a basket but what's going on over here and now we know why natalie did so well i think the easter bunny just can't stop himself anyone else i'm good i'm good i've got loads right so let's go home get changed for bridget and brunch i mean which is mid-afternoon but it's bridgette and brunch anyway because of the alliteration i've just stopped to have a look at the new view of the chateau now that the trees and the motor down oh it's beautiful it feels right to be going back to la land to put on some regency costumes and have a wonderful easter brunch what a beautiful day it is easily the best weather we have ever had for easter it's absolutely heavenly today i've just had to turn the camera back on because philip says i have to say it's easterly the best weather we've ever had come on that was good so we're meeting in an hour for the lunch and uh i'm i'm so excited because this is basically a lifestyle efficient coming true for me a lifestyle ambition yes i really want to do historical costuming going forward yes and i am not fussy about historical accuracy i'm happy with historically adequate actually that's how i feel it's about feeling it isn't it exactly feeling pretty yeah and just being inspired by where you are and living sort of the unabashed fantasy of dressing up i guess is the way you put it right i think it's very very sad to ever grow out of that i hope i never do i hope for my 70th birthday we're all here in strange costumes excellent so did you make your dress i did yes can't wait to see it yeah okay this is the moment i've been waiting for whilst i'm getting changed i will go back in time and show you footage of sean arriving for us to have the fitting of our costumes very excitingly sean has arrived so that we can all try on our dresses and this is really really exciting because i haven't seen sean since i gave her the fabric that i'd like the dress to be made and i haven't seen a photo of it i've seen a photo only of the thing she's made for philip and it looks amazing i think he's trying it on at the moment so let's go and have a look oh my goodness no way [Music] that is amazing can you wear that all the time sean it's incredible thank you wow yeah yes wow gonna do a little time we're working on that yeah it's amazing and my dress i can't believe it it's so beautiful i can't wait to try it on i absolutely love it oh is that natties and marie's yes these are amazing just amazing wow oh and now she's got a train i love it i cannot wait to see her in it has she tried it yeah yes a day well easter really is going to be splendid and they're really eastery especially yours and mine they're actually quite similar colors they're really super eastery colors you have to stand next to me the whole day carrying eggs [Laughter] how have you been how did you find making them yeah yeah it was a challenge for some of them like the lace yes no no it's really fun the lace must have been a challenge how did you do it in the end i used the starch but i used a um a modern product it was to um yes i just hold it on it so i folded everything up and then i covered it in this uh spray oh it's beautiful stiffening solution and i love the little um pearls all along the big ones here oh yeah oh they're great can i try it absolutely absolutely sean i absolutely love it wow believe it it's amazing i don't think that you need to do any alterations i think it fits perfectly at least it feels as though it does how did you do this it's a dream i mean i have to have my hair up because you can't really see it but you're so clever i love this did it give us a spin yes we've got some ribbons on the back that were just for holding in place but they're not needed so they'll be going and look all the little details you've even left a little gap at the front so i can put a cameo there oh no yeah i've got to choose the jewelry and the tiara and the shoes i'm not convinced that these shoes are doing it right everything's perfect like the lengthy the minute i'm wearing little heels that's going to be how did you do this honestly how without me being there it's incredible thank you so much i'm going to wear it every day from now on [Laughter] my big grubby next time i see you we've decided that as so many people can't be involved and get their own costumes michael patrick really really wants john to make him one of these outfits regency costumes so does michael potts so we're definitely when the world goes back to normal touchwood going to have another bridgeton party looking forward to that very much it's amazing well i think we found the new la land uniform it's the first time i've really done men's jackets oh amazing jewelry amazing i love the colors too because you chose this fabric and i really like it with the waistcoat yeah i love the color of natty's dress yeah but i'm not going to show any more fittings because i want everyone to get the surprise on easter day when everyone's wearing them easter sunday and maggie so mari chose the style of this one didn't she love the colors as well i just can't wait to see everyone in them and sell mars selma has gone for more of a gothic regency oh has it is it here we got it here oh oh great let's have a sneak preview so we have wow oh yes that's so someone selma does regency purple of course of course with the best and the matching yes and his jacket is hey i love the fact that i live with such flamboyant men and i like this fabric it's like it's nice this is very subtle what are a sort of looking very nice nice when you can open it like can you see yeah it's i love that i love the fact that it hangs open and you see the waistcoat underneath it was pity that she couldn't finish the trousers because that's also nice black yeah so when we do the actual brigitte and party you will have the proper proper break because that was very nice but also with the on the trousers there's also the flap in the front with the two yes yes comes everything comes back can't wait to see it yeah and i i bought the silver shoes with uh like a boot yes and they haven't arrived either have they okay so we've got to do this again in the summer when everyone else can join us i also love the fact that you chose the gorgeous approach that you received in caddo at the chateau look at the cat looking at the little fish yeah great thank you very much okay gerald you can't be here but scotland is represented there you go it's beautiful yeah there's a bit of a sort of sherlock holmes this is though there's maybe a mud right in our midst and you would be the detective [Laughter] everyone looks amazing and you have made the most incredible meal oh and we have to eat well let's go oh asparagus with bacon we'll get one with dumplings i don't know what oh my goodness is that a brie yes whoa oh wow hang on i've got to you've got to dig into this oh it's so oozing oh it's so good maddie you are incredible you made the scones i did apple cinnamon wow okay i am not definitely trying that um i will do them again oh yeah when i have the right ingredients these are the local um potato puff pastry i just opened my napkin and it comes with a recipe brie and broccoli quiche that's really clever this is so pretty yeah it is i was hearing philip walking and it's incredible yeah the boots it feels very manly so philip said that his inspiration for this table is i would call this an explosion of spring okay yes spring explosion let's go with who do you think we are thank you very much phillip for letting us use your beautiful cutlery it's regency happy easter everybody so happy you're all here cheers happy easter thank you so much and thank you for cooking thank you mary pleasure except do you think that's the proper attire for washing up well this is what i'm wearing and the washing up needs to do i chose a very very pretty apron yes i think it works very well i'm only quickly doing the things that need hand washing so the fiber plates the harem plates and all of your cutlery okay how things go on the ice cream well so i've got this ice cream scoop like the one of those original ones yes not like a proper scoop oh that makes a ball let me come and have a look i don't know it's actually very very beautiful yeah well i mean the thing is no i think that the scoops are prettier in terms of you know how it looks in the bowl but what a thing and so this is the original ice cream scoop yes so it's got like um it's not flat yeah it's got like a cutting edge almost sort of so you i think you're supposed to do like that kind of motion yeah possibly but that's not working because it's like that it's too hard so but this is working just just to dig in quite literally so philip and i as you can see are in charge of dessert and we want something very very light because we knew that today would be heavy on the food so philip had bought audrey and we're going to just pour it over pear sorbet like even though it's the end of the meal and it's often served in the middle of a very very long meal i think it's going to be a good digestive after the amount of chocolate and well let's face it fatty things like that amazing burrito you didn't have the brew but the breed was incredible i love the quiche oh the whole of marie's buffet was amazing all right she's going to try it out online okay excellent not everybody's going to want this so should we take this to the table and ask actually um so shall i just pour this over all but one of these yes maybe not that one because that's the only one in a different cup good idea i'm just trying to get somewhere sorry put that one back into the freezer i love that waistcoat thank you love the trousers it's good with the boots i think i'd like men to dress like this every day i can okay i mean i usually do you kind of dress like not this well you wear a waistcoat but i think you could go for way more patterned waistcoats i was gonna put my hands in my pocket and i realized and how many except for this thing so it's gonna be not a pocket fill up that's not a pocket maybe that's a bit yeah let it snow what happened to the head of your bunny i well sorbet is not really my thing i love dark chocolate and it was here so oh bonnie got it wow wow that's seriously strong yeah right it's quite strong right yeah it's a little heavy-handed but if you mix it more with ice cream it's perfect perfect see perfect so what did hopper think of his first la landista i think he's very pleased with the hell uh oh you enjoyed it yes i think so good we're all getting ready for the photo outside hoppers too pop is coming good is steve ready almost and people is coming down the hill oh they're going to wonder what on earth is going on steve is setting us up for a group photo this better be a quick group photo the temperature's definitely dropped i'm glad we braved the cold because now we have this great memory of a perfect day well
