hey everyone is Gina I'm back and today I'm gonna show you all how to make honey butter chicken here's what you'll need alright first thing that you will need you will need chicken any pieces of chicken that you like will be just fine if you want to use wings if you want to use breasts legs whatever you want is just fine today I'm gonna use thighs because I love thighs skin on make sure you keep the skin on you're gonna need black pepper paprika garlic powder salt you're gonna need honey hot sauce soy sauce sugar cornstarch you're gonna need three eggs four garlic cloves chopped up finely and I have flour now the first thing that we want to do I've washed and cleaned my chicken I've cleaned my chicken with lime salt and water and I've taken the fat off of the chicken now my hands are impeccably clean first thing that we need to do is over here let me show you I have a pan of oil okay you want to start to turn your pan on medium high so that that oil can heat up to 350 all right so while that oil heats up we're going to season our chicken up very well all right so now I'm gonna use salt or I'm gonna use pepper I was looking at the salt I'm gonna use pepper all right I'm gonna use paprika season your chicken up well and make sure you season both sides all right and then I'm gonna use a garlic powder gotta use that garlic powder garlic powder gives so much flavor when you're frying chicken there you go and you want to use salt don't use too much salt okay I like to do it this way and that way I can control how much I'm using okay and just put your desired amount on each one that way okay there you go seasoned that up just like so beautiful all right and now I still have this in my hand because we're gonna season the other side so flip the other side over oh just like this and we're gonna get that other side seasoned that one didn't want to turn over for me I'm so excited for this dish there we go let's get this other side seasoned up and on the side I'm gonna have mashed potatoes and the other day I made greens I'm gonna have greens with this and that's gonna pair up very well so then I'm gonna take some more salt just like so okay there you go when you guys taste this recipe you are going to absolutely love it I want you guys to try this recipe this is such a great recipe here we go little buzz garlic powder on the other side just like this black pepper not so much black pepper because we put a nice amount on the other side that's enough there you go and you want to use paprika not too much all right just like so all right now what we're gonna want to do is over here I have a bowl let's reach over here and grab this bowl because I'd like to put my chicken in that bowl because I have those three eggs I want to put the eggs in with my chicken and the eggs will help you to get a crispy texture to your to your crust all right so we're gonna do that let me move this cutting board chicken back into the equation let's turn this way beautiful okay now our eggs I have three medium-sized eggs I'm just gonna beat them up just like so just like so all right this goes over top of the chicken and then I'm gonna go in with my hands I'm gonna take my hands are impeccably clean I'm going to take my rings off and I'm gonna go in and show this chicken some love guys sometimes you have to sometimes you have to touch the meat let the meat know that you love it there you go become one with this meat all right now what we're gonna do from here is we're gonna dredge our chicken okay but before we do that I want to let you know the measurements of my flour and the measurements of my corn starch so I have one-and-a-half cups here a flour it's just all-purpose flour I have one and a half cups here of corn starch and we're going to incorporate these two together all right let me get a spoon so I can enclose well when you use cornstarch on flour it gives such a great texture and you'll see now there's one ingredient I almost left out but I'm so glad I did it we're going to need baking powder and we're just going to use a teaspoon of baking powder okay so I'm gonna grab that right now and we're just gonna use a teaspoon of it there you go right smack down in the middle of there beautiful okay now let's get this mixed up very well take your time to mix it up because you want to get that baking powder well incorporate it and you want to get the cornstarch or flour well mixed okay I'm gonna continue to mix this up and I'll be right back okay everyone I'm back our flour and cornstarch and baking powder is well incorporated now what we want to do go in take your chicken kind of dip it in the egg all right and then you put it right down in there okay just like so nothing hard about any of my recipes everything that I cook is so easy guys trust me when I tell you this all right just kind of dip it we'll do four at a time all right and I'm just using one hand okay because I don't want to get both of my hands messy all right so you want to make sure you get it well better just like this or well coat it right and kind of push your coat in push it in just like that like I said it's definitely okay if some of the egg drips in there it's just fine no problem okay let's see I think I'll do two more because I think I might be able to fit six in here at a time we'll just have to see all right I've got a large pan but these slides are large also there we go let's do two more look at all that seasoning guys that's how you want it beautiful you want to be able to taste that seasoning beautiful let's give one more dip it right on in there okay now what we're doing is we're waiting on our oil to get the temperature of 350 in the way that we're gonna check that is we're going to splash just a little tiny bit of this flour into the oil and if this flour starts to sizzle right away then that wheel is nice and heated up to the temperature that you want but if the oil just kind of sits there and it doesn't do anything it's not ready and the last thing that you want is to have oily chicken and the way you have oily chicken is if you put it in a pot of oil that's not heated up enough okay so I like to always make sure that the oil is heated up enough so let's check this oil and see the temperature of it and see what happens not quite ready but almost see how it's sizzle but it didn't sizzle fast enough for me I'm gonna put the video on pause let that will heat up and I'll be right back everyone okay everyone I'm back let me show you what it looks like when the oil was done enough just like that see how quickly that sizzle all right let's go ahead get our chicken in alright I always like to do my skin side first for whatever reason I just like to write medium high is what I'm using when I'm cooking on alright drop them in don't drop them on top of each other either okay and be very careful you don't want to go splash in oil all over yourself I'm so excited about making the sauce the sauce everyone is so tantalizing it is so good and I cannot wait until you all can see how beautiful the salsas okay so I'm thinking I might be able to get one more in if I can that'll be awesome let's go ahead and put that one right dab in the middle okay so now we just kind of wait here in a few minutes I'm gonna take a long fork and I'm gonna just push them around a little bit just to make sure that they're not sticking to each other or you wash your hands put the video on pause while the chicken cooks and when I come back I'll show you what it looks like okay everyone I'm back let me show you where our chicken is that all right so this has been cooking for 10 minutes and I just want to give you an idea of what it looks like now see that not quite done cuz we wanted to get more golden-brown but it's it's doing exactly what we wanted to do this is what it's supposed to look like now and also as you can see what's starting to happen as they're starting to float and when they start to float that's the indicator I you know basically the chickens letting us know hey I'm almost done okay alright so this is just what we're wanting we're gonna let this continue to go and then when I come back we'll take another peek at it alright be right back okay everyone my chicken is done my chicken is cooked for I believe 16 minutes and this is look at this oops hold on let me get a good grab on that this is what it's supposed to look like see that okay I get ready to take that out here in about two minutes but let's come over here everyone I have this pan let me get a good picture I have this pan on medium-high and what I want to do let's go ahead and I'm going to show you how to make this beautiful sauce what you need to do I have a cup of butter and I want to melt that melt it up on a medium-high heat all right in the end one ingredients that I forgot to tell you about crushed red pepper flakes I'm not gonna use a lot but I'm gonna use enough just so we can have a little bit of heat okay how about belt like that and that's less than a teaspoon okay maybe a little tiny bit more there we go all right then we want soy sauce let's melt the butter all the way first before I put the soy sauce in alright and what you're gonna get guys trust me when I tell you this you're gonna get this salty beautiful butter right you're gonna get the salt from the soy sauce in the flavor from the soy sauce right I'm going to turn this up on high actually then here's what we're gonna do we're going to put our garlic cloves in just like so you gotta have that garlic make sure you use fresh garlic don't use the garlic from the from the Darr use the fresh garlic and you'll have the best flavor trust me all right get that nice and melt it all right we have one cup and 1/4 of white sugar we're going to add that to our butter Soleil sauce there's one teaspoon there's about two teaspoons three teaspoons all right now let's get this well incorporated just like so and we're going to let this cook for a while all right and then I'll let you know when we're gonna put our honey in okay this right here is one beautiful sauce guys and when you see this just drizzle on top of this chicken oh my goodness Blanc honestly my mouth is watering right now so I know you guys his mouth has to be watering okay here's what I want to do right now I'm gonna turn this down a little bit so I can take my beautiful chicken out that's what I'm doing right now let me maybe you guys can see here we go I have a cooling rack over here alright and what a cooling rack will help is when you take your meats out air can circulate all around and underneath our chicken so that our chicken doesn't just have to sit you know like on a dish and get soggy at the bottom so get you a cooling rack if you don't have excuse me if you don't have one all right and then I got those four chicken thighs that I haven't cooked yet I'll throw those in these chicken thighs are beautiful and they are calling my name you hear me whoo all right see you now see how our butter and sugar our garlic and red pepper flakes is starting to get nice and bubbly right here that's what we're whirling that's what I'm looking for everyone okay beautiful and I think I want to add just a tiny bit more soy sauce okay here we go just a little bit all right I'll just put a little bit more soy sauce see in beautiful do I have a picture there we go now in with our honey get that honey in there I will put measurements in the description below so you all will know the measurements of everything for this dish all right this wouldn't be called honey butter without that honey and without that butter guys this is a Korean honey butter fried chicken now if you all have checked out the rest of my channel I have a Korean honey butter smashed Yukon Gold potato check it out and let me know what you all think okay now I'm gonna let this simmer I'm going to turn it down to low meanwhile I'm coming over here back over here I've turned my heat down and I want to put this chicken the rest of these four pieces right on the end in that oil so that they can cook I've turned it down because what will happen is once we've taken all the chicken out that oil temperature will go up high okay and we don't want to burn our chicken so I've turned it down although in here in a second I'll actually I'll actually turn the temperature back up okay but I won't do that for you alright I'm washing my hands any time like I said earlier you deal with raw chicken or raw meat you want to wash your hands alright because you don't want to transfer bacteria all right we have the rest of that chicken in and I think with this chicken here these four pieces I'm just gonna make those four pieces play now when you make Korean honey butter chicken traditionally they like to do two fries on their chicken meaning you would fry your chicken two times okay I'm not gonna do that today what I've done was I have cooked mine crispy enough to where I got that nice hard crisp that I was looking for and what they'll usually do is they'll fry theirs once maybe for a good ten minutes or so where it's really light take it out let it set for a good three minutes and then throw it back in that oil and what it does is that will give you an extra extra crispy chicken okay but I've cooked mine nice and crispy the way I like it so I'm not gonna do the two fries okay so our anytime you boil honey honey will boil up higher so make sure if you're cooking me honey you want to make sure you have a pan that's high enough because you don't want your honey to boil over okay remember that every one all right our sauce I'm gonna taste our sauce I want to blow it first because I do not want to burn my mouth one oh wait a second before I taste it so that I don't burn myself meanwhile I have this chicken over here cooking got the chicken that's cooked in the back let's get a good look at that see that in that beautiful yeah okay let me taste this now hopefully I don't burn my mouth everyone yeah now I need a little bit more soy sauce and I'm gonna do just that now right away you taste that butter and that lovely honey and that garlic is so prevalent that garlic is has oh that garlic has a beautiful note in this sauce I'm gonna go ahead turn the sauce off it's completely done now what will happen I might go ahead and turn my fried chicken back up now what will happen is this sauce will actually thicken up and it thickens up on you what you would do to thin it out a little bit it's just she's just a little bit of water maybe a tablespoon and a half of water and you heat it back up and it'll start to thin back out for you okay now I'm gonna push pause let me show you these real quick you want to push pause on the video so that I can pour my honey butter sauce into a dish so that I can pour it onto this beautiful chicken thighs I'll be right back everyone mm-hmm okay everyone check me out let's go ahead played our chicken up here just like so all right and then we are going to drizzle one of the most beautiful tastiest salsas that you have ever had I'm telling you when I had this video on pause I tasted the sauce like three times and it is so good that guys I'm telling you whoa is good I cannot wait for my family to eat this I cannot wait to eat it mm-hmm okay now I've got four pieces of chicken still on the stove cooking and now I'm going to stir when it's hot I'm going to stir a beautiful sauce up look at this guys look at this I wish I had smell-a-vision taste the vision and you guys could smell and taste this oh my because if you could now let's take this little spoon out of here now for my favorite part hold on guys someone's at my door hold on be right back okay everyone I'm back isn't it funny how so many videos right when the food is done someone knocks at my door that is so ironic how that happens it was my husband but and most of the time it's one of the kids are my husband but they're right on time when that food is done they're right there but I find that funny all right so look at this here's the part that I live for and I'm gonna zoom in because it's the drizzle guys you hear me it is that drizzle that does it for me there's something about a good drizzle let's start on this one oh my goodness mm-hmm yes and keep stirring this okay that way you can get that garlic you want to get those red pepper flakes look look look oh my goodness mm-hmm I love a good drizzle guys really does something to me look at this AHA I know I know I know I know but it's so good mm-hmm we've done it again guys now at the end of the video what I'm getting ready to I'm gonna do a mukbang for you guys and if you don't know what a mukbang is a mud thing is where you get to see me eat the food so that's what I'm getting ready to do I'm going to set my camera up at the kitchen table all right and then I'll give this a taste and let you all know what it tastes that I made the other day guys if you haven't seen that video check it out mmm boy are you talking about good there's a lot of flavor in those greens they're kind of spicy but they are so good okay chicken time all right okay okay I see myself grabbing the fork in the knife last time I ate some chicken with a fork and a knife there was so many people that was coming at me they were like who does she think she is eating that chicken with the fork and a knife right this and that this and that I'm like okay okay guys I just don't like to get my hands all messy and greasy but I just might have to because I can't wait guys I just can't wait oh my goodness oh my goodness look at this guy's take that bite right there right there right there [Music] this right here this is so tasty mmm boy the flavor that you get remember we season the chicken with salt pepper garlic powder mmm and then you got the hint of that garlic and soy sauce mixed in with that melted butter that sugar and honey this right here guys I promise you this right here is a winner mmm look look at this guys look in the inside look at that white flesh isn't that beautiful mmm how good this guy mmm this right here this is what I live for guys this is delicious oh oh mm-hmm that's right here I know I say it a lot guys but this right here will truly make you smack someone hmm you know how they say make you want to smack your mama this will make you smack somebody oh boy the skin is so good guys mmm look at this bite that skin right there hands down so delicious let me get some of my beautiful greens mm-hmm I made
