It all ends here... (Hypixel Skyblock Hardmode)

today everything i've worked for over the past three months comes to an end as i finally take on floor 7 and its boss necron [Applause] the grind for all four bone meringues oh my god first try of the day the hunt for the baby yeti pet oh my god oh my god oh my god the quest for the shadow assassin chest plate i i literally cannot believe what i'm seeing right now all of it has led up to today's adventure so when i last left off i had just completed the entirety of my setup for floor 7 dungeons except for one piece and that is the dwarf turtle shellmet which is a pet item that will make you fully immune to receiving knockback now some of you might be thinking wait i didn't even know you were trying to get a dwarf turtle shellmet rage train and that's because i never told you guys well except for one little teensy hint that i put a full two episodes ago where i put down gold minions and told you guys it was for a secret project i was working on and some of you might be able to put two and two together now and realize that that secret project i was working on was the legendary griffin pet which is the only pet that gives you a capability of being able to drop the dwarf turtle shellment and the reason i needed these gold minions up for so long is because the legendary griffin requires a whopping 128 enchanted gold blocks to craft and on top of that i only currently had the rare version of the pet so i was also going to need an additional 12 enchanted gold blocks just to craft the epic version that could be upgraded to legendary meaning in total i was needing 140 enchanted gold blocks which is such an absurd amount of gold that even though it took diana six weeks after i put those gold minions down to finally become mayor i still didn't have enough gold but i really really wanted this item so it was time to do some manual grinding but before i could start manually mining for this gold i first needed to do a little bit of testing to figure out which method of mining gold would be the best and my initial assumption was that mining the gold blocks in the dwarven mines would definitely be the way to go i mean these are literal blocks of gold they should definitely give the most gold right well actually no they don't give the most gold instead what gives the most gold is this tiny little mine cart full of gold ore yes this thing right here gives more gold than the literal massive vein of gold blocks now the main reason it's faster is just because you can use mineral armor on this ore whereas you can't use it on the gold blocks but still the admins have no excuse those gold blocks should be giving way more ore than from what seems to just be like a random cosmetic design piece but anyways after doing these tests i calculated that i would have to do about 9 to 10 hours of manually mining this gold ore in order to get the rest of the enchanted gold blocks i would need for both the epic griffin upgrade and finally the legendary griffin upgrade but in order to actually craft these pet upgrades i was also going to need a decent amount of ancient claws and griffon feathers which are items that could only be obtained from grinding out the mythological event and at this point diana had already been elected mayor and the mythological event was now active because of that so i decided to use some of the gold i already had stockpiled up to upgrade my griffin to the epic rarity and began to farm burrows and over the next few days that's pretty much all i spent my time doing just alternating between farming burrows for those ancient claws and griffin feathers and then also mining that gold ore and finally about three days into diana being mayor i was able to craft my legendary griffin pet boom legendary griffin upgrade stone and then the final piece boom legendary griffin it has been done we are not out of the woods yet though because now i have to see how i fare against these mobs and um that that could not be uh that that might not be as epic and unfortunately for me that prediction was very very accurate as when i started trying to fight these legendary griffin mobs aside from maybe those two cats they pretty much all were destroying me which was extremely frustrating for me because not only had i just dedicated all of the minions on my island for the past six or seven weeks this project but on top of that i had just spent like 10 plus hours farming the extra gold i needed but right as i was starting to give up any hope of ever getting this dwarf turtle shellmet i began to kind of develop some strategies that would allow me to take on the golems and minotaurs there was still no way i could fight the champions and inquisitors but that was okay i could just skip those ones and fight the ones that i could handle and this strategy ended up paying off way more quickly than i would have ever expected because on only like my 10th borough using this legendary griffin pet this happened oh owie owie no way i cannot believe this i can't even do like half of the mobs so uh yeah that was a bit of a weird feeling to literally prepare for something for like two months and i got the drop i wanted within less than 30 minutes and if that wasn't crazy enough after deciding to continue farming this event just a little bit more i dropped this might be asking for too much well ask and you shall receive my god bro what is do this is not bad at all i'll take this baby let's go yo dwarf turtle shellmet dude again number two so yeah i now had not one but two dwarf turtle shelmets but what you might be uh surprised to find out is that neither of these things were going on my baby yeti pet you see after a very long debate with my chat we actually decided that the blue whale and wither skeleton pets were the best ones to put the shelmets on and that's because those are the two pets that are most useful during the boss phase of necron because while the baby eddie pet might be better when i'm holding a high strength weapon like my flower of truth during the boss phase i'm going to be mostly holding my bone marriage which means that the blue whale is just going to be the better tank bet for me and then of course during the final phase of the floor 7 boss fight i want to be using my wither skeleton pet to maximize damage hence why i decided to put the second dwarf turtle shellmet on that pet but with that now out of the way i was basically ready to take on my first ever floor 7 and the timing could not have been more perfect because after diana finished her time as mayor it was time for three perk paul to be mayor so not only would i be getting stronger blessings and bonus score during the runs to make s and s plus runs a lot easier than normal but on top of all of that all dungeon drops were 20 percent cheaper which meant if i happened to drop a handle instead of that usual 35 million coin price tag it would only be 28 million so i did some wart farming to make sure i could afford any drop i happen to get i did a little bit of last minute applying and reforging to my gear to make sure it was all ready to go and just like that it was finally time to take on this floor 7. so first things first let me go ahead and introduce you to the team because of course the entire point of everything i've done here is to not get carried in my floor seven runs so not only did i make sure to pick people who were at or near my catacombs skill level but on top of that i forced everyone in the party to only use gear that can be obtained from floor sixes and below no floor 7 gear whatsoever so first up we have our tank king lazarus decked out in a mender crown tier 12 perfect chest plate necro lord leggings and boots and of course a flower of truth next up we had our first mage ruas boss equipped with his wither goggles a wise dragon chest plate necromancer lord leggings and boots and of course a spirit scepter our second mage icy tv games was using a pretty similar armor setup with both his wither goggles and 3 4 necromancer lord armor but for his weapons he was equipped with both a spirit scepter and a midas staff and finally our healer cj the cat was using a mender crown three-fourths necromancer lord armor as well and a flower of truth oh and then of course there was me with my full shadow assassin armor and my four bone meringues but hopefully you don't need an introduction to my gear at this point but there was now one major component missing from my setup because if you remember in the last episode when i spent way too much time and way too much money maxing out that death bow well on the day that i attempted my first floor seven the admins decided that was the perfect day to completely remove bow swapping from the game rendering that death bow entirely useless like there was no point to have it at all anymore it was just done for but there was nothing that could be done about that now all i could do was focus on this floor 7 and do my best with the gear i still had and thankfully this first main part of the dungeon went really really well i was surprised at how well my gear was able to handle these floor seven mobs i really thought they were gonna be a massive step up over those floor 6 ones but they weren't too tough it did take us a little long to clear out all the rooms just because i was pretty rescue a secret since i had mostly been doing floor 5 and floor 4s runs as of late but after about 8 minutes we had pretty much green check marked everything and we made our way together over to the blood room to clear it as a team and once again i was pretty shocked by how well that went because we were able to pretty much just annihilate everything in that room without any issues but now of course it was time for the real challenge to begin as we entered the portal to begin the boss phase as phase one started i immediately made my way over to the lava with my bonzo staff to attempt a crystal cheese that some of my teammates had tried to teach me before i ever entered the floor seven but uh obviously as you can tell here this is one of those things that i needed to practice so since this was my first time i really had no idea what i was doing and uh yeah it's kind of embarrassing thankfully my teammates did have experience doing the crystals so we were able to clear this phase relatively quickly and move on to phase two now phase two was actually going to be a pretty dangerous stage for us because the length of this stage is dependent on how much dps you can do and obviously the entire team aside from myself was handicapped pretty hard by being forced to use floor 6 weapons and below and even though my bone meringues were a suitable weapon for floor 7 like i mentioned just a little bit ago the admins had just patched bow swapping on this day which also severely handicapped the amount of damage i could do much to my surprise though we were able to clear this phase in two pillars when i had thought for sure it was gonna take us all three so things were actually starting to look really really good for this run but we did still have some very difficult challenges ahead of us especially the upcoming phase four so we stayed focused and dropped down to the terminal phase and once again during this phase i was kind of like a chicken running around with its head cut off because i really did not know what i was doing i understood the basics of how to solve the terminals and that i needed to flip levers and all that type of stuff but in terms of like movement and where the terminals were located i had no clue what was going on but i did what i could to carry my own weight and before i knew it it was time to move on to the final phase of this battle now during this phase my job as an archer was to go directly to mid and prepare to do as much dps as possible unfortunately for some reason necron decided to just keep beaming me with these wither skulls that deal true knockback meaning they hit through my dwarf turtle shellment and this constant knockback from necron ended up leading to this uh pretty embarrassing mistake ah oh god oh my god i just got i just i just trap myself in the lava okay look that didn't happen that didn't happen like i mentioned earlier though paul was currently mayor giving us that plus 10 bonus score so we could pretty easily afford to get a couple deaths and still be in contention for an s or s plus ranking the main goal was just that not all of us die and we fail the run so i shook off this mistake and made my way back to mid and prepared to do as much damage as possible to necron when he arrived unfortunately this is when catastrophic mistake number two occurred all right here okay here we go i literally just got one shot you see for those of you who aren't well versed in the mechanics of the floor seven boss battle when you go to mid like i did you're supposed to back up to the very very edge of the blocks otherwise when necron arrives he one shots you like that and unfortunately even after this death i still made the exact same mistake a second time it was kind of starting to look like the 20 plus minutes we had just sunk into this run might end in a failure but thankfully as we all got revived this time around we were now able to stand back and do our damage from a distance and even though this method was a much much slower way than anything else after a couple of minutes we got our final hit in on necron and i had officially completed my first ever floor 7 dungeon run and it was time to see what kind of loot we got pink one feather falling six you also love to see it oh soul eater one so later on okay so that'd be the one i'd buy for now precursor gear i don't know if this would be better than soul eater oh wait this is for ancient i probably would want this right and then my aubie chest is precursor and fuming for 800k so nothing too crazy in terms of loot but for an s run not too bad and i ended up buying both of the precursor gears by using a dungeon chess key because the ancient reforge that the precursor gear gave was gonna be much more powerful than anything i had on right now but of course precursor gears were not the primary thing i was looking to get from floor seven so the party and i immediately ran up another run and this time after learning from my mistakes of the previous run we were able to secure the s plus rating giving me a shot at some crazy crazy loot in the bedrock chest and uh honestly i don't know if you guys are ready for what happened next [Music] oh my god chest plate oh my god run number two wait buy it before the dungeon crashes dive oh my god oh my god i am cracked at the video game no way the first s plus ev literally first s-plus that is not real oh my god yo prediction predictors predictors believers oh and infinite quiver seven oh my god so uh yeah that was pretty insane first ever s plus run and i pulled a wither chest plate one of the rarest drops on floor seven i am still like so happy about it anyways though after getting that thing i decided that a necron chest plate would be a massive upgrade to the current setup i was using and so rather than continuing to do full floor seven runs trying to get more s pluses i decided to instead do some frag runs to try and get the pieces necessary to turn the wither chest plate into that necron chest plate unfortunately for me though that crazy rng i had just gotten had a little bit of a rebound effect because it took me over 8 hours and just about a hundred frag runs in order to get all the pieces i needed but finally after dropping that eighth diamante handle i crafted my first piece of necron armor look at that that is sick dude that is absolutely sick oh my god look at me and after returning to floor 7 runs with my new and improved setup i managed to drop a recombinator allowing me to upgrade that necron chest plate to mythic and my streak of luck just kept going because on only my 7th ever floor 7 run i managed to pull wither leggings meaning the two hardest pieces to pull were already out of the way for me and of course i immediately began doing frag runs once again until i had enough diamante's handles to convert the wither leggings into necron leggings and my rng just kept getting crazier because on the very next run this happened oh boots boots let's go let's go that's that's three pieces already or eight runs in three pieces i need one more piece so yeah i hadn't even completed ten floor sevens yet and i was only one wither piece away from having a full set it was also at this point in my floor seven runs that they started to go a lot smoother and a lot faster not only as a result of those two shiny necron pieces that i was now equipped with but also because i was just starting to gain a general knowledge of how these runs work as i did more and more and as if my rng in these first 10 runs needed to get any crazier on run number 10 i got this hobby boom oh helmet we're done oh my god yep only 10 runs into my floor 7 journey i had now dropped every single piece of wither armor and the craziest part about all of it is that i had not dropped a single dupe i had dropped exactly one of each piece so i got back to doing my frag runs and on the next day after only three days total of doing floor 7 runs i was able to craft a full set of necron armor and not only was this just absolutely insane in terms of the rng it required to make it happen but it was also going to be super clutch to help me keep getting s plus runs even after paul was no longer mayor and i decided to take this fancy new armor set and test it out with ghost farming which is something that i had been wanting to do for a while not only to get myself a full set of sorrow armor but also for the great combat xp it can give you and all things considered it went pretty well but my damage was still just a little bit too low if i wanted to farm these things efficiently i was probably gonna have to get my hands on both the mithril golem pet and a decently high level of swarm for my soul whip so i returned to grinding floor sevens and almost immediately i was greeted with yet another rng drop 720 no way wither chest plate number two which i did end up purchasing partially for the flex and also partially because if i ever wanted to play archer mage hybrid in the future i would need a full set of storm as well so it could eventually be of some use to me and that's all for this episode but don't worry because there's some even crazier rng coming up in the next
