assignment one is called new-age versions new-age versions by gail riplinger new-age versions so please buy that one by gail riplinger it's easy to find it's a picture with the red dragon up front and it's a black book the other one you want to buy is the answerr book by Sam Gipp the answer book by Sam Gipp and this you don't need to buy this but this will be very effective this is optional it's called the attack on the Bible the attack on the Bible this is by Ted Watkins so Ted Watkins so he took all the verses that were in error in modern versions and he also went through a lot of the famous arguments concerning about modern Bibles so this is why this is highly recommended it's an optional though we're gonna be covering mostly nearly all of this in today's Bible study so that's the reason why you may not really need this but if you have a person who's supporting modern versions you should buy this and pass these out to these friends because even if they don't listen to you at least you can give them something to research themselves all right so I want you to buy those two books and then the track is optional so that will be your homework assignment if you were to do that then what I want you to do is to read as much as possible so I want you to buy those books and then read as much as possible so you go to so these three books can these three works can be found at dr. effective they are okay so in order to start intermediate discipleship i believe what's salient ly important is that in order for you to advance your knowledge of the scriptures there are two stances that you got to be solidified that way you can grow more in right doctrine and that's the King James Bible issue as well as dispensationalism so an intermediate discipleship we're going to establish those two areas and I don't think we're going to waste we're not going to spend too much time on that and then after that maybe Lord Lord willing we're gonna cover apologetics after that so those are the salient areas for intermediate discipleship that way you can be more solidified in your faith and defend the faith okay so let's begin so why do we believe the King James Version to be the perfect pure words of God the reason why is this is that we're gonna start off by looking at Revelation chapter 22 please I'm gonna start off with Revelation chapter 22 and then I want your second hand to go to first Corinthians chapter 14 first Corinthians chapter 14 revelation 22 and first Corinthians chapter 14 the reason why is that there are over 200 modern versions out there of the Bible so this is a major problem so if you've been watching me for years this is going to be not really new to you but an intermediate discipleship I want to make sure that you are solidified in these in this intermediate fact concerning about the Bible issue because God says that if you change his words then he takes it very seriously in punishing you so that's the reason why we believe that there has to be one perfect Bible well which Bible is that well as we cover all the errors we're gonna find out that the King James Bible is the one for you let's look at Revelation chapter 22 verse 18 for I testify unto every man they hear at the words of the prophecy of this book If any man shall add unto these things God shall add unto Him the plagues that are written in this book and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city now jump to 1st Corinthians 14 1st Corinthians 14 so we discovered that the Lord he despises in this passage right here he despises adding or subtracting his words he hates that that's why we make a very big deal when words are changed well the meaning didn't change at all no we're gonna prove meanings change when you change words you change the meaning but we're gonna prove that but the point is this God's not talking about meanings here or ideas did he say words or meanings did he say ideas or words he said words right so he takes words seriously now here's the thing as well is that have a group of people which we're gonna do today as well reading Psalms 23 for example which is a famous passage have all them have a different version and have them all read together and don't tell me that's not confusion a lot of people would like to argue no reading the King James Bible is too confusing to me so I would like a modern version no when you have that attitude then you got like over 200 and then when you all read together that's confusion right there and who's the author of confusion look at first Corinthians chapter 14 notice in verse 33 for God is not the author of confusion so God is not the author see then who's the author of your Bible that's of confusion if it's not God that's Satan see that and actually we're gonna cover some verses that only a demonic mind would put such warnings in the modern version that you're reading so that's why we believe that the King James Bible is shoot King James the only issue is very important so we take that very seriously now so just a brief outline concerning about the King James Bible issue what we're going to do now is that now that we see that words are serious we're gonna actually cover the verses and see if that's the case okay so let's cover the following verses let's first start off with the book of Matthew chapter 18 please and then verse 11 Matthew chapter 18 please and then we'll read verse 11 now what you're going to notice is that in your modern Bibles in Matthew chapter 18 verse 11 in your modern Bibles where is that is right so what's gonna happen is this modern Bibles they will either bracket it or subtract it now you might say what is bracket bracket means that they claim it should not be in the Bible at all so when they put brackets or if you see nothing if you see 0 like where's the verse they skip the verse what did the Bible say about subtracting yeah not just words but verses they subtract it alright how many of you can you raise your hands how many of you have the verse missing like missing okay then can you please tell your Bible Danielle what's what's your version New Living Translation is missing Sean and IV is missing stance ESV is missing I thought that's the best Bible mr. white okay so Robert the message is missing anybody else is missing oh no the New World Translation yeah New World Translation yeah okay so that so you do have the New World Translation or is that new living okay so then the Jehovah Witness Bible is also missing that Tom your Bible okay so duty rains has it now here's another thing right here is that the New World Translation dropped this verse that's a Jehovah Witness Bible so mr. James why'd he he's a strong opponent against the KJV only issue as well as a lot of dumb scholars who are dumb enough to follow him so these people they think that this is not a big deal well then you don't believe in wrong Bibles will argue and they'll say no no no and mr. white will say oh the whole witness Bible we're against it okay then why is your modern version following a Jehovah Witness Bible okay let's look at another verse let's look at mark chapter 1 verse 2 please mark chapter 1 verse 2 mark chapter 1 verse 2 let's see if these verses are a big deal as we compare with a Catholic Bible and a Jehovah Witness Bible let's look at mark chapter 1 and then we'll read verse 2 we're gonna read verses mark chapter 1 verses 2 through 3 all right right over here the King James Bible says that it's the prophets speaking why because Malachi and Isaiah are the ones who are speaking in mark chapter 1 verse 2 as it is written in the prophets behold I send my messenger before thy face which shall prepare thy way before thee so that one is quoted by Malachi now look at mark chapter 1 verse 3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord make his paths straight that's quoted by Isaiah now how many of you have in your modern version that it's Isaiah sore Isaiah speaking not the prophets oh my goodness that's like nearly 90% of the room okay so what's your Bible so as I point to each and every one of you I just want you to say which modern version you are New Living Translation English standard version ESV Douay Rheims a catholic bible an IV brother Robert your Bible the message alright what up so not the New King James correct okay so make sure you keep an eye on both police both Bibles alright alright sister Danielle new world translation so notice that the Catholic Bible Joe of a witness Bible they made God a liar yeah because it's not just Isaiah speaking its Malachi and Isaiah speaking so then you want to make God a liar then now remember who is known as the father of lies in the book of John it's Satan right so see what kind of a mindset would lie to you that's not the Word of God so notice right here they get rid of prophets and they put Isaiah in here making God a liar and making themselves very incompatible with Scripture okay we're going to look at other verses in the Bible that's also look at the Book of Luke please The Book of Luke we're gonna look at Luke chapter 23 please Luke chapter 23 and then we're gonna read verse 42 Luke chapter 23 and verse 42 now notice that the thief on the cross he recognized Jesus is God he recognized the deity of Jesus Christ at Luke chapter 23 verse 42 the King James Bible shows and he said unto Jesus Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom so notice right here that Jesus Christ his deity is retained in the KJV now how many of you have a modern version that instead of saying and he said unto Jesus Lord it says and he said unto Jesus Jesus can you raise your hand okay Wow that's nearly all modern Bibles the catholic bible did better than all those guys that's that's a crying shame so a catholic bible at least recognizes Jesus as Lord but then we got you can put your hands down thank you but we got the message Bible the New World Translation the NIV the ESV the message the did I say New Living Translation okay New Living Translation and the NA SV and did I cover all modern bottles yeah so all these modern Bibles they they messed up by getting rid of the deity of Jesus Christ a weakened his deity all right now let's look at the book of mark let's look at mark chapter 16 mark chapter 16 so remember it's gonna be either bracket or 0 what verse pastor I don't know let's see how much they chopped off okay you might say what are you talking about pastor well let's take a look mark chapter 16 all right now notice in your King James Bible mark chapter 16 consists of 20 verses it consists of 20 verses now how many of you in mark chapter 16 there's a bracket somewhere starting at somewhere between the first five verses and then all the way to the end of verse 20 or it's either missing can you raise your hand please okay so we got all right all right all right yep I'll keep the message as well okay so there's going to be a bracket or there's gonna be a footnote you can even look at the footnote the footnote will say it's not over there okay okay all right then so you can put your hands down thank you so the Catholic Bible did better again then Protestant Christian Bibles so so all modern versions hear the message the New Living Translation we also covered the ESV the NIV and the New World Translation which is a Jehovah Witness Bible all those Bibles what they did was they chopped off more than half of the chapter of mark they chopped off more than half of your chapter or they doubted it all right now let's look at the book of John let's look at the book of John and then we'll look at chapter 7 John chapter 7 we're gonna read John so this gets better you think this is big enough let's try two chapters now you might say what are you talking about pastor that's right now they're chopping off verses on two chapters in John chapter 7 through 8 so again you'll see brackets or missing that's what you're gonna find out you're gonna see brackets we're missing all right so what's gonna happen is John chapter 7 and either starting at I'm not sure what verses starts out but I think the doubtful passage would start at verse 50 but then John chapter 8 the story of the woman of in adultery its chopped off from chapter 8 verse 1 through 11 and then part of the verses at chapter 7 okay so I think it's chapter 7 verse 53 actually yeah okay so John chapter 7 verse 53 all the way to chapter 8 verse 11 so notice right here they're chopping off verses out of two chapters here or they doubted it can you raise your hand if this is the case with your Bible right here okay all right so then we got the so then the New Living Translation the new American Standard Version the ESV and the New World Translation the Jehovah Witness Bible so notice again that they chopped off verses okay so I guess the NIV that's surprising I thought they would be the ones - okay then so okay but did they bracket it or did they retain it [Music] okay okay yeah that's right so then they bracket it or it's missing so the NIV yeah I don't think the NIV they're they're gonna drop the brackets they're gonna retain it because they they want to be faithful to their version so no it's right here - two chapters verses out two chapters now that's not serious okay look at Acts chapter one Acts chapter one all right so please make sure that you turn to those verses in your phone first all right the modern version first all right KJV I'll explain to you I'm gonna read it to you just pay attention to your phone that way you can raise your hand when I call out on you okay all right Acts chapter 1 now notice that the King James Bible at the book of Acts chapter 1 verse 3 it says it's an infallible proof in other words there is no hold there is no weaknesses with the resurrection of Jesus Christ is there a weakness in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as their death is their question no it's infallible 100% it's true ah but then notice that in your modern versions it does not say infallible it will give a word like convincing or a word that's not considered to be 100% foolproof infallible if you have that kind of verse can you raise your hand please so the N ASV and then Sonya what's your Bible okay okay yeah the ASV that's right the na sv we got the New Living Translation we got the Catholic Bible Douay Rheims the New World Translation Joba witnesses ESV and NIV and I guess the message it did better than all those Bibles that's kind of surprising to me [Music] yeah Acts chapter 1 verse 3 yeah so to whom okay can I have somebody willing to go through - okay thank you Shawn so you're gonna go through NIV and the message alright alright brother Robert you just pay attention to NKJV all right NKJV yeah so just pay attention to NKJV all right then the NKJV is going to do the most it's going to be the best one out of everyone because it's supposed to it wants to retain close to the KJV okay we're also going to turn to the book of first Corinthians chapter 15 please first Corinthians chapter 15 first Corinthians chapter 15 and then we're going to look at verse 55 first Corinthians chapter 15 verse 55 and then I want the other one to be Luke chapter 16 Luke chapter 16 we're gonna look at two passages Luke chapter 16 as well as first Corinthians chapter 15 all right so remember pay attention to the phone that you got have that ready once I quote the verse all right so Luke chapter 16 and then it will be at verse 23 Luke 16 23 and then it's going to be first Corinthians 15 verse 55 verse 55 all right now notice that the King James Bible it calls it hell hell is hell it's Hellfire but the modern versions will call it Hades but that's a problem you might say why is that because that's supporting a Jehovah Witness mindset that hell is the grave because Hades in Greek it means the grave not just hell now look what the modern Bibles do does your modern Bible say in 1st Corinthians 15:55 as well as Luke 16 that it says Hades does it say Haiti in boat versus Allwright will you raise your hand will you raise your hand so then the New King James version supports a Jehovah Witness doctrine the English standard version supports the Jehovah Witness doctrine can you read that okay so it considers his death what about Luke 16 23 Hades okay then okay so it dropped the word hell so okay so notice that it doesn't change the fact that the modern Bibles they just get rid of the word hell but the New King James Version or the other modern versions they'll say Hades so which one of your says Hades actually which ones of yours says Hades new King James Version so the new King James Version is worse than all the other modern Bibles right here because what they're doing right here is supporting the Jehovah Witness doctrine because Jehovah Witnesses they don't like to call it hell they want to call it Hades that's what they want to do they want to call it Hades okay American Standard Version is considered a new American Standard Version says Hades all right so now let's look at several other passages we're gonna look at John chapter 1 please John chapter 1 we're gonna look at John 1:18 John chapter 1 verse 18 John chapter 1 and then we'll read verse 18 now notice how we've only covered the first four Gospels the first four books of the New Testament Matthew through Luke acts excuse me so we covered five but the thing right here is that it just gets worse and worse now look at John chapter 1 verse 18 notice that the King James Bible says begotten son not begotten God why because the son he did have a beginning a birth through the Virgin Mary right Jesus Christ was born but God he did not have a beginning or like he was born no God cannot be God if he has the beginning but notice that the modern versions what they did look at John 1:18 no man has seen God at any time the only begotten Son but if your modern Bible says begotten God all right how many of your modern versions actually show begotten God Jehovah Witness Bible the new American Standard Version so notice right here that the new American Standard Version follows along with the Jehovah Witness Bible that God had some kind of begotten State that's a problem and the NASB is recommended by Judas white saying it's such a great Bible no it's not ok let's also look at the book of Colossians chapter 1 please Colossians chapter 1 we're gonna look at Colossians chapter 1 and then we'll read verse 14 14 Colossians chapter 1 and verse 14 notice that through his blood is subtracted through his blood isn't the blood important yes it's an important doctrine for our salvation but the modern versions they dropped the blood look at Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through his blood even the forgiveness of sins how many of your modern versions is missing the phrase through his blood okay so the New Living Translation new world translation we also got the ESV the NIV the message as well okay then so the message if you read that's like if you read it it's very it's totally different it's very funny and the NASD the NASB so notice that the NES the new American Standard Version as well as all the other Bibles that I mentioned they subtract through his blood okay we're also going to look at the book yep the Catholic Bible contains through his blood so notice that the Catholic Bibles they do a much better job than the Protestant Christian Bibles now that is a disgrace that is a disgrace so again before you say before you say oh you know all Bibles are the same and there's nothing wrong really if it's worse than a Catholic Bible now you can pull that pressure on James why Oh what about a Catholic Bible you're against wrong Bibles right what about a Catholic Bible oh yeah we're against Catholic Bibles then point out those verses where the douay-rheims is even better than the Christian Protestant Bibles then you convince him see the NIV is considered to be a wrong Bible or you can or at least if you're honest worse and worse Bible than the Catholic Bible okay so you see the hypocrisy 's and the lies of modern versions scholars who are supposed to be your say brother in Christ look at Philippians chapter 2 Philippians chapter 2 now this one the blasphemy just piles up the blasphemy just piles up look at Philippians chapter 2 and then we're going to read verse it so I want to look at the whole chapter so jump to the whole chapter of Philippians 2 the reason why is because we're going to be reading about four verses we're going to be reading from verses 5 through 8 verses 5 through 8 Philippians chapter 2 verses 5 through 8 notice that the deity of Jesus Christ is cast off by Jesus himself so it's not just the verb the modern Bibles casting off his deity but Jesus himself is casting off his own deity so let me read it now pay attention and you'll see why I'm talking about pay attention I'm gonna read the KJV you look at the modern version alright let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made them self of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man now did you pay attention right there ish if you were paying attention you'll notice that it sounded like Jesus casted off his deity how many of you can you raise your hands and show that Jesus Christ rejected his own deity ok the NASD New Living Translation NIV alright and the ESV and the ESV alright then how about that alright then let's also look Acts chapter 8 Acts chapter 8 Acts chapter 8 now Judas white would like to say oh they like to they these Christians are just conspiracy theorists trying to make any verse a conspiracy theory well guess what in a Catholic conference these guys are Catholic apologetics when my dad was stre preaching in front of a Catholic apologetics conference this Catholic try to prove water baptism for salvation by jumping to acts 8 look at Acts chapter 8 now you're gonna look at the whole chapter alright look at the whole chapter because we got to look at two verses Acts chapter eight now look at verses 36 through 38 36 through 38 as they went on their way they came unto a certain water and the eunuch said see here is water what the hinder me to be baptized the KJV retains verse 37 saying that you have to believe on Jesus Christ for salvation then after that you get baptized which has nothing to do with your salvation it's believing believing not baptism so notice verse 37 Philip says you're supposed to believe and then verse 38 notice then you get baptized in the modern Bibles they subtract verse 37 37 is missing or bracketed how many of you have missing or bracketed New Living Translation new American Standard Bible the the ESV and the NKJV okay so we'll ignore that one that will give the NKJV a break because we want to give the NKGB as much of a break as possible alright so we see right here that they either bracketed it or they subtracted it remember bracket means it's doubtful it should not be in there according to the originals now look at the book of Matthew chapter 7 Matthew chapter 7 look at Matthew chapter 7 Matthew chapter 7 now salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ it's not difficult amen amen it should be simple childlike faith look at Matthew 7:13 Matthew 7:13 now paying attention notice that they make salvation difficult here or hard that's what they make salvation difficult or hard but salvation is not difficult and hard it's just that the Bible says right here that it's very narrow it's a minority it's small that's what the King James Bible says Matthew 7:13 entry in at the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat now pay attention to verse 14 look at verse 14 in your modern Bibles because Strait is the gate says the KJV yeah it's small and narrow is away that's right because it's small it's a minority which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it now notice in your modern Bibles it does not say narrow or Strait it says difficult or hard it's making salvation as if it's very hard to get saved how many of you in Matthew 7:14 Matthew 7:14 salvation is considered to be hard can you raise your hand please alright the ESV makes salvation difficult the New King James Bible I know that for a fact new King James Bible says difficult so and then NLT the New Living Translation so notice right here that the modern Bible says difficult is the way or hard ethic Bible says that can you read it okay it's okay we'll leave that alone because that's the point the point is it's supposed to be small it's supposed to be narrow and small so that's fine so notice that the Catholics I guess their salvation is easier than the Protestant Christian Bibles easier than your updated King James Bible Catholic salvation okay so I mean let's look at Isaiah chapter 14 and verse 12 Isaiah chapter 14 and verse 12 Isaiah 14 verse 12 was it recording okay okay okay that's good Isaiah chapter 14 verse 12 please all right so I know which two modern versions mess this one up so pay attention to what you're eating Isaiah chapter 14 and then we'll read verse 12 actually there should be three if I could be wrong so Isaiah 14 verse 12 now let me ask you this question who is the morning star when we sing about the hymns or when we read revelation 22 it's Jesus Christ right so side note revelation 22 verse 16 jesus said I am the morning star okay so then Jesus Christ there are hymns and songs dedicated where Jesus is the Daystar he is the morning star but look at the modern versions isaiah 14 verse 12 notice that the King James Bible says how art thou fallen from heaven o Lucifer son of the morning now notice they replaced Lucifer's name with day star morning star rising star alright how many of you in your modern Bibles have that okay the NIV has that shining star okay then so maybe we'll cross out NLT we'll give them an exception we want to be we want to be fair yeah it doesn't drop it drops Lucifer correct so that NIV ESV I know that the NA SV I know it has that so na SV so nasb replaces Lucifer and NIV as well as ESV they replace it with day star or morning star or rising star so notice that Lucifer is considered to be Jesus Christ right here so then of course we must understand and give the scholars the benefit of the doubt that they were falling asleep when they translated this verse and we're not paying attention okay okay then let's look at second Samuel please chapter 21 second Samuel chapter 21 second Samuel chapter 21 now you see why we are King James only yes alright look at 2nd Samuel chapter 21 verse 19 2nd samuel chapter 21 verse 19 all right let me ask you a question church who killed Goliath who killed Goliath Church oh stop messing around alright I know okay you know who killed Goliath who David right okay if one of you said L hainan I was gonna tell you how this church just for trying to be a smart aleck okay don't be a smart aleck okay all right second samuel chapter 21 verse 19 who killed Goliath Church David right alright but notice in your modern Bibles okay so the King James Bible says then there was again a battle in God with the Philistines were el Hainan the son of Jerry O'Regan a Bethlehem ight slew the brother of goliath now notice in your modern Bibles it says el hainan slew goliath alright now how many of you have that reading where it says he slew goliath okay notice that the Jehovah Witness Bible says he slayed Goliath the ESV says he slayed Goliath the NASB says he slayed Goliath okay read it which a deal goddess all right so the Catholic Bible is worse than Catholic right here all right some forest man came out of nowhere and then then killed Goliath all right so now it's just getting mythical like just like just like their Apocrypha they like to get into mythical worlds you know so they just like to act like Chronicles of Narnia or something right there so the NIV used to have that reading but now those guys they changed it that shows dishonest liars when they're doing their translations they're not being honest okay all right that's all so now you let me show bigger dishonesty if you come we're not going to turn there for times sake if you look at first chronicles chapter 20 where it repeats the same verse your modern Bible says el hainan killed the brother of goliath your modern Bible says that so then they contradict themselves so what are you gonna do argue against that you can't argue against that so notice right here they follow Jehovah Witness doctrine Catholic doctrine and not only that they contradict themselves and call God a liar and we are supposed to believe that using different Bibles are okay after that okay so then David slayed Goliath okay he actually attacked and slayed Goliath really really that's a question mark in the modern Bibles okay now let's look at the book of 2nd chronicles let's look at 2nd Kings 23 now you're going to look at two verses get ready all right you got to turn to two verses second Kings 23 second Kings 23 and then I want your other hand to go to first second Chronicles second chronicles 35 second chronicles 35 so second Chronicles 35 and second Kings chapter 23 and looks like we're gonna have to close it off right here so we're gonna have to close it off right here alright so 2nd Kings chapter 23 verse 29 verse 29 2nd chronicles chapter 35 verse let's see right here 20 20 verse 20 so 2nd chronicles 35 verse 20 second Kings chapter 23 and verse 29 all right now pay attention to the words right here okay look at this saying Kings 23 29 and second Chronicles 35 verse 20 notice in 2nd Kings chapter 23 verse 29 in his days Pharaoh nikko king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates and King Josiah went against him any slew him at Megiddo when he had seen him all right now let's look at now keep your hand at both of those verses look at 2nd chronicles chapter 35 verse 20 second chronicles chapter 35 verse 20 after all this when Josiah had prepared the temple Nicko king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates now if you paid attention right here this king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria but your modern Bibles they show in one verse he did go against the king of Assyria but then in the other verse he came up to the aid of the king alright so how many of you have that kind of reading the NLT the oh my goodness the Catholic Bible des vie the NIV and then the NKJV I know that for a fact so notice right here that there's a contradiction so what did this King do he did he aid the person or did he go against the person see take your pick okay take your pick so notice that there's it's either so did he come to the aid or did he come against so there's a contradiction right here all right so we're going to close our study on modern
