[Music] hello and welcome to another video today I'm gonna be making sushi for the first time with these sushi bazookas so I found these things on Amazon and they claim to let you roll perfect sushi as a beginner so the way that they work is that you fill them up with your ingredients and then you like shoot them out like toothpaste so I've wanted to learn how to make sushi for a while now soft and I are big fans of sushi but a perk of making it at home is that you can wear gym shorts and nobody will get mad there was an incident in the past involving gym shorts a high-ish and sushi restaurant and an angry hostess soft can attest and I'm not welcome at that establishment so today we're gonna go out and get the ingredients for three different rolls a California roll fruit fruit roll and a spicy cheeto tuna roll so once we've bouzouki out the sushi we're gonna do a taste test with Sophia and see if the sushi is up to snuff okay let's get the ingredients let's go this is like probably the most time-consuming part but at least I know that when we get to that final step of actually rolling and making the sushi we can lean on the bazooka first up we're gonna make the rice I found a recipe online for perfect sushi rice which includes adding vinegar sauce at the end so now that the rice is ready I'm gonna start prepping the ingredients the first one we're making is the California roll which calls for half an avocado half of a cucumber and four sticks of imitation crabmeat alright so now that we have all of our ingredients for the California roll prepped the time is now for the sushi bazooka go boom yes it is kind of bazooka predator esque you know it's like giving the top hook we're gonna have to keep it on the table because otherwise it will fall apart we're gonna put rice in first on both sides and I'm gonna put the ingredients in then we're gonna hook it together close it up and then shoot it out honestly it can't it can't be this easy I mean I feel like this is gonna be a disaster oh here we go moment is nigh for our first sushi bouzouki attempt and you know what we don't have quite enough rice to do that many attempts so this is actually fairly high stakes are you ready [Music] okay so our first sushi bazooka shot I'm gonna call it a failure but I think it could be salvaged just a little bit I'm going to take the bits from here and put them right back in but this time with a little bit more rice for padding so we're in it close this guy up again let's see if it work this time are you ready oh my god oh dude that one worked give me some love here yes all right it looks like a coupie on the verge of falling apart but that is rolled a little bit more and we do have a little bit of an X Factor a little bit of nori to roll it all together so that's gonna hide any imperfections it's by the time we get to Sofia she's gonna think it's great and she didn't know we feel the last time so we'll find out how it tastes okay so Sofia this is our first taste test I don't think you can use those chopsticks on this listen there's some growing pains with the bazooka but we got some zoo connection this this one looks like it could work that one's yours then we did make some soy sauce and wasabi Oh perfect spice it up yeah Cheers okay let's do this she's pretty good about right I chase exactly right actually I mean it's not the most shapely of sushi no it's not aesthetic but it tastes like sushi and now you know more about going forward into the next couple we have two more roles we're gonna throw together really quickly and Sevilla has more tries for me to get a more perfect role this is fun all right you ready for the fruit sushi I'm gonna go get it ready all right be gone be gone I like that second one up is this fruity so our ingredients are strawberry Kiwi and mango and instead of adding vinegar to the rice we're gonna add coconut milk and vanilla so instead of nori the recipe actually calls for fruit roll-ups as like the rolling agent I don't know how that's gonna work in the bazooka but I figured that we'd also throw in some gushers for a surprise so let's add our innards and close this thing up also we reread the instructions and there's apparently a cap we can add to aid the rolling process so it appears that our gushers have combusted inside so it's a little juicy right now we kind of over stack this thing we didn't learn from any of our lessons other than added the cap line but we're gonna shoot this thing out now three two one oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] we've broken the seal broken hold it down hold it down hold down pull it down hold it oh my god kind of work oh my god it kind of worked the gushers seem to have served as like a gummy mortar that like held it together we're gonna bring out a really long knife kids do not play with knives adults do whatever you want I gotta find out that's serrated knife now understandably the fruit roll-up is making it very hard to cut so what we're gonna do is just eat it as like a burrito I'm gonna go get some right now we're gonna try this and I've very high hopes on how it's gonna taste all right Sofia so this is our crew she our fruit sushi which actually is turned more into a sushi furry dough did you put the fruit roll-up inside yeah yeah why I don't know I'm gonna hold it up you're just going ready here you go double hand go go go that's the thumbnail right there I only try Oh awesome it doesn't taste bad he's pretty good it tastes it's like a dessert sushi I'm on board I think it's just that it's hard to even bite it off when the fruit roll-up is inside you're gonna be you first you did you taste the gusher oh is that one all right flaming hots let's do it okay so I think taste wise the fruit she came out pretty good there were some practical problems with it as Sofia alluded to but we're gonna push on this is our third type of sushi this spicy tuna with flamin hot cheeto dust on the outside and maybe even like a little flamin hot cheeto on the inside it's gonna be pinterest worthy I'm gonna mix mayonnaise and sriracha in a little Bowl like this I'm gonna take my sushi grade tuna chop it up into little cubes we're gonna mix it together mixing a little scallion so once we've added those ingredients will add some Cheetos inside and then a final layer here on the plate so that on the outside we'll have some cheeto dust you know what we had a food processor we could have used that so we're gonna have some fear here for the final bazooka close and we do have this flamin hot cheeto action Sofia so you're gonna layer this first onto the plate and a bazooka it out onto here and we're just gonna roll it around why you over there you are there ready there we go oh whether you were ready to go yes yes boom this final step this is the boldest of all steps we're gonna roll it in the cheeto dust see if we can't get a little bit more cheeto action onto it Oh oh that's working little flamin hot cheeto Bay is that how it goes I mean that's my kind of bait so this is our flamin hot cheeto spicy hot tuna roll so one thing I'd say is although we've gotten good roll aesthetics on this one it's not necessarily that easy to cut I can't see as well as I'd like chopping because there's so much cheeto dust everywhere and boom we have our cheeto sushi it looks like its own way like a real sushi alright Soph you ready to do this yes okay here we go oh this is holding up like a roll look at that alright Cheers because I'm falling apart here we go cheers speed Cheers and what I'm going on there Oh what your god I want another one to be honest - crunch factors real effectively what we've done is replace the cucumber something of nutrition with flamin hot cheetos yes I like a good Cuba but flamin hot cheetos orally I feel like for this one the sushi bazooka like gave you the tools to like make a sushi in the first place yeah but it's really the flavors that are coming through and not the shape so the sushi bazooka kind of gave me like the impetus to make sushi and I kind of want to make it now the real way like I kind of actually want I give my technique down if you kind of put it in this thing just kind of get out it just kind of it looks like how it's gonna look you really have no control it's not like an end-all be-all solution I don't know if I would call it a sushi Z I would call it a sushi somewhat difficulty that wouldn't fit on the box though that also probably with itself yeah it's honest so we upload this video we're gonna upload an X feet room where we take your guys suggestions of other types of sushi that we can make and we'll take any suggestion that you guys might have we'll go out to grocery store get the stuff and we'll make them right there the link will be
