I Spent $500 on Mystery Anime Lucky Bags

yeah how's it going everyone this is the anime man we are back once again ladies and gentlemen in the hands-on section it's been a while since we've experienced this thing god this table is filthy so if you've never seen me in this particular position down in the floor of my regular recording studio it's because you haven't seen my previous two videos where i unbox a bunch of lucky bags mystery bags whatever you want to call them based around anime now if you haven't seen those videos go check them out links in the description because it'll be important to kind of understanding what this video is going to be about japan is known for all sorts of cool anime merchandise and the one thing that i don't know if they actually invented it or not someone's going to have to fact check me on this down in the comments is this idea of lucky bags or as it's called in japanese which essentially is kind of like a gacha poll or a lottery where you basically buy a bag full of mystery stuff sometimes it's themed sometimes it's not themed and you basically pay to get a chance to win some cool stuff that is around the valley that you paid for said bag if you've been to any anime conventions i'm sure you've seen a bunch of them if you've been to japan at all you've probably seen a bunch of them and although i have kind of indulged myself in the more weirder variety of anime lucky bags i thought to myself i've never actually brought a regular anime lucky bag and i thought well how much value could i possibly get from these lucky bags if i spend an arduous amount of money on a bunch of them yeah that's right your boy kind of went out of his way to go all over akihabara and on the internet to basically spend about 500 worth of mystery anime lucky bags because i thought to myself well if i'm going to spend 500 worth on anime merch and it's all a mystery as to what exactly i'm going to get i hope that i can at least make my money's worth with the value of all the stuff in these bags so that's what we're going to test out today we're going to open all of these bags that i've got from all over akihabara and tokyo and on the internet and stuff like that and see just what kind of stuff you can get if you do happen to have just 500 lying around in your back pocket for mystery anime merch so without further ado let's go okay to start things off i'm gonna small with these smaller bags right here and all four of these mystery bags actually i got from the lovely folks over at itaikuji i've done a bunch of work with them before i know them personally and it so happens that itakuji right now are doing a bunch of mystery anime bags on their website full of themed things now all of these are kind of themed um this one is my hero academia themed this one is just shonen jumps themed this one is kirby themed because i [ __ ] love kirby and this one is unthemed this is completely a mystery each one of these is worth about 3 000 yen so that's roughly about 30 u.s so without further ado let's let's just start opening them because i have no freaking idea what is in any of these i can shake them around honestly i have no clue as to what could be in any of these so let's just get on with it shall we okay first i'm going to open this my hero academia bag because of course everybody likes my hair academia right i hope first we have a deku acrylic stand or one of the acrylic stands this is prize f because deku is ft i'm just kidding don't please don't make that it's an orchard hotel like that is definitely ocheko's eyes but for some reason at the back it says uh tsuyu frog oh wait never mind i actually see that it has both tsuyu and ojoko as a design on it so never mind i'm an idiot next oh there's like a lot of things in here oh god what is this okay that's actually kind of dope these are metallic shikishies are kind of like you know the things that you use like for signatures and stuff like that but these are metallic usually they're kind of just like paper based that's actually kind of sick i i like that that's very unique and i guess this is a bag of some kind what the [ __ ] is this maybe to put like a card in or something it just looks like one of those baggies that you put like cocaine into you want some of that my hero academia cocaine my quirk is to sell drugs to kids and last but not least we have a rubber keychain because every popular series needs to have a bunch of these like seriously who collects these and that's it for the mic your academia bag i'd have to say probably the coolest item was probably these metallic species just because it's so rare to kind of find these and you know if per chance in the future you go to a convention and there's someone from mike or academia whether it be a voice actor or you know maybe horikoshi himself who knows then you can take these and you know just get a signature written on and stuff like that you can because it's metallic i'm guessing you can maybe like put it on the fridge or something i don't freaking know but that was the mighty academy bag next all right let's do this in the one next the shonen jump bag so before we just did michael academia now this one is anything from shonen jump including mikey academia i swear if this is filled with a bunch of micro academia stuff while it's called a shounen jump bag i'm gonna be slightly annoyed i'm hoping there's gonna be like some really [ __ ] obscure shonen jump series in here like something that'll actually get me excited but let's find out although i say that i'm gonna guess there's gonna be demon slayer stuff one piece stuff maybe dragon ball stuff definitely my hero stuff you know just the regular [ __ ] first we have oh of course we do we have a q posket still don't know how to pronounce this thing of tundra from demon slayer look at that face how can you resist that nightmarish face we got some proper shikishi's this time but of one punch man and it's kind of based that's actually kind of cool again these are very handy when you go and meet famous people because they love to sign on this kind of stuff especially when i go to like a signing and you hand me one of these like proper squishies it makes me feel a million times more important than i actually am we got another one punch man thing but this time it's a rubber keychain because again every popular show has to have a rubber keychain oh what's this oh we have a sticker set of demon slayer but they all have cat ears okay you know what so someone who [ __ ] with cats actually no don't take that out of context i just like characters when they have cat ears okay i don't [ __ ] cats don't [ __ ] with cats good documentary on netflix and there's one more thing in here it is oh it's another drug bag cool now i have two drunk bags i have one for my hair academia and one for boruto i can fill one up with cocaine and the other one up with boruto i guess boruto is cocaine to some people okay well one thing i would say about this shonen jump bag is that it's barely shown and jump we have two one punch man things two demon slayer things and a boruto baggie to be honest they did exceed my expectations by not putting in my hero or dragon ball or one piece or naruto all that kind of stuff but come on if someone didn't know what shonen jump was they would just think that it's just one piece demon slayer and boruto drug baggies where's like the ew huck shows and the hunter hunters and the ichigo 100 you know all the other shows that everyone likes although i must say my favorite thing again is probably the shikishi's i don't know something about this is just really freaking cool especially with the calligraphy style and the fact that it is one punch man all in all so far i'd say the mic here academia bag is just a little bit better than the shonen jump back next all right let's take a breather and open the smallest one we have i [ __ ] love kirby and i don't care what any of you guys say he's the best character oh cool it's an adorable kirby handkerchief oh look at him how can you not love him oh hell yeah this is my face when you say that you don't like kirby be very scared it's a keychain but it also holds your chords together actually you know what that is quite handy i think we can all relate the number of times where we've had wired headphones i mean to be honest i don't know if anyone has wide headphones anymore since airpods or a thing but there are still a lot of people out there who still have wired headphones and the amount of times we've reached into our bag pulled out our headphones and it turned into like [ __ ] aurora's dna like i swear there's some like quantum entanglement happening in our headphones inside the bag i don't know what happened scientists figure that [ __ ] out oh and that's it for the kirby bag okay look i'm biased so as of right now the kobe bag is number one for me if you want to make me happy at any convention or if you see me in person and you don't know what kind of anime stuff to give me just give me some kirby [ __ ] like anything kirby i will just like slurp that [ __ ] up next to finish the first batch off let's check out this completely randomized itakuji lucky bag so we've had a shonen jump themed one which you know we got a variety of this one now is just anything goes if there's like a piece of [ __ ] in here i can't complain because you know what i wasn't expecting it so first we have a bunch of photos i guess what is it so that's what that looks like oh yes nothing makes me happier than some printed out photos of some random oil company prints but anime form who the [ __ ] are you we also got this invitation looking thing but it's boongo stray dogs i think it's supposed to be a postcard but it just makes me think that i'm gonna lose my sanity to the phantom thieves look at least i got edogarampo i think he's my favorite character anyway and he's my favorite actual author as well so yeah that's kind of cool you know i do know that there's a lot of people who are into the bungo stray dog stuff so this is definitely for you another boongo strailers keychain forgot who that was don't care to be honest okay i was not expecting that at all to be honest it's a fake grand order cup yeah like a glass you know what i was not expecting to be fate stuff in here so i'm pretty satisfied and impressed with that and that's it for the completely random i thai coochie lucky bag man these bags just keep getting better and better they're getting more and more interesting like you know what i have to say my favorite thing is these photos right here who the [ __ ] is this but unironically i think the state cup has been the dopest thing so far because you know there's practical use to it right like i can sip out of my waifu literally you can take that out of context all you want it makes no [ __ ] sense so so far the number one spot is definitely this completely randomized i take fuji bag but we're still in the first floor we're still in the smaller ones we're not even halfway through our 500 goal because as you can see on both sides of me we still got these big big boys that are worth over 100 each but before that i want to show off i guess a little bit of a an anomaly anime lucky bag so here's the thing that you need to understand about a lot of these anime lucky bags or just lucky bags in general it's that they usually come out either near the end of the year or near the beginning of the year basically a lot of these anime lucky bags are very time sensitive to ends of the year beginnings of the year basically a lot more celebratory times because you know what is more celebratorial than spending your money on [ __ ] that you don't know is gonna be worth it or not so truth be told when i went out to set myself the 500 goal i found it a little bit difficult to actually find what i needed in akihabara so i did what anyone does best and search on the internet and i found one store that was still selling their end of year lucky bags from the previous year so i ordered it it was fifty dollars five thousand yen and uh here's what came in the mail do you know what a bag is these [ __ ] didn't send me a bag they sent me a goddamn anime lucky box i actually couldn't [ __ ] believe it i was expecting it to be like you know a wrapped up bag you know kind of similar to this kind of stuff right like this is what it looked like on the website so i guess uh this is going to be the world's first anime lucky box opening yay anyway let's just open this bad boy up okay all jokes aside though i am actually pretty interested to see what i got in this because this one cost 5 000 yen which so far is the most expensive one and it is completely random so i might get some absolute third worthy anime merch in here or maybe just some stuff that i don't know but hey let's find out shall we opens the price i got an awesome sun i just realized it's not even straight they've like actually cut out the head that's actually pretty rare like how often do you see a ruler with the heads of a bunch of anime characters all right let's see what else we got here oh oh okay they did give me a [ __ ] bag but look it's not an anime lucky box turns out it actually is an anime lucky bag but the bag is made out of goddamn see-through plastic well considering i can see everything in this quote-unquote bag let's just let's just show you what i got a card captor sucker a card sleeve collection okay that's actually pretty dope i thought that was the girl from madoka magica it turns out it's not it's just like an og character so that's some copyright infringement we've got a rubber keychain from kemono friends okay that's pretty dope that's pretty cute oh look a giant acrylic keychain of kiss in the eye yeah what's up it's insane to think that i collabed with ichan like i think three years ago or something insane like that go check out that video by the way if you want to see the forefront of v tubing before v tubing was a thing yes finally something i actually wanted it's an acrylic key chain of shinobu my waifu hell yeah bro and it's of the art style of the ending as well which is my absolute [ __ ] favorite we've got another achilles keychain of senran kagura we've got a handkerchief of sengoku nightblood i have no idea what this is we've got a golden panzer tote bag okay that's actually pretty cool as well that's quite useful and would you believe it the final item is another goddamn rule but it's off girls and panzer and it's a hell of a lot shorter you versus the dude she tells you not to worry about okay you know what all in all besides the presentation of the packaging hey the contents yeah i think it's kind of worth it i think this would genuinely be worth about 5 000 yen okay last but not least let's open up the three biggest and most expensive lucky bags that i managed to get first of all it is the 8 000 yen one piece lucky bag that i got from the folks over at liberty if you watch my previews two anime lucky bag unboxing videos this is the store that i got all the weird bags at and don't worry they don't just sell the weird stuff they sell proper lucky bags like this as well so yeah this cost me 8 000 yen so i'm hoping that i get at least 8 000 yen worth of stuff in here okay i can feel one really big figurine oh actually there's two kind of decent sized figurines let's pull the first one out oh my god we have a portegas d ace figurine that's actually kind of sick i have no idea what the base price of this would be but hey you know what so far that's pretty good value that's like a actually kind of a quality ace figure all right let's pull out the second figurine of course we're going to have our main boy right here luffy but from the 1-0 arc you know what's a shame i absolutely love the aesthetic of everything that i've seen in the one a lot the problem is i am so far behind on the anime and manga for all the one-piece fans out there uh i've only seen up to the punk hazard that probably caused a bunch of aneurysms in a number of one-piece fans you're welcome all right let's see what else we've got in here we've got a bunch of little figurines you can put together this one obviously luffy i think this is black beard don't kill me one piece fans and yo i don't know who the [ __ ] this is and last but certainly not least we have oh what's this oh cool we have a 20th anniversary one-piece squishy all right that's sick man it's almost like these bags knew that i'm into my cool anime shikishi's i mean this is definitely one of the coolest things in here but there you go that's it for the 8 000 yen one piece lucky bag surprisingly i feel like i didn't really get the value i was expecting out of paying 8 000 yen especially when you compare it to the previous 5 000 yen mystery lucky bag that we just showed i mean granted the majority of the 8 000 yen price tag probably comes from these two figurines right here i want to say this is maybe like a 4 000 yen figurine and this is like a two and a half thousand maybe 2 000 yen figurine since they did label it as 8 000 yen i want to assume that everything here is worth around 8 000 yen but this isn't the way that i would spend 8 000 yen don't get me wrong i'm a huge fan of one piece but stuff like this i would just not buy if i had the budget overall yeah not the strongest uh lucky bag i i not gonna lie felt a little bit ripped off with this one but hey you know what that's i guess the the mysteries and joys of buying anime lucky bags all right let's bump up the price tag to the five digit mark with this sailor moon 10 000 yen lucky bag once again from liberty now if you guys don't know i may not look it but i'm a huge sailor moon fan growing up i actually enjoyed watching the sailor moon anime more than i enjoyed watching the dragon ball anime so i was a little bit of a girl when i was growing up so i'm really excited to see what kind of cool and unique things that we can get out of this 100 sailor moon lucky bag okay there's lots of medium sized things in this one so let's pull this out first it's a sailor moon accessory tray you know your boy does wear a lot of rings in his videos obviously not today so this is perfect for putting all my rings i can store it in this cute little accessory tray oh hell the [ __ ] yeah it's a little ribbon with my melody and sailor moon attached to it am i sexy [ __ ] say i'm a sexy [ __ ] we've also got a sailor moon handkerchief a cute little galaxy collection glass i actually don't even know what this is i looked at the back of it and it's like something to do with your makeup i guess i mean it's cute whatever it is oh here's a figurine i personally prefer sailor mercury but sailor mars is definitely a close second on my favorite sailor scouts oh never mind we got another one but this time of sailor jupiter who i think is my third favorite wait we have sailor mars selling jupiter where's salem okay sailing mercury mercury so mercury dammit dammit we have this cute clear file set of sailor moon because every popular series needs to have a clear file set or a rubber keychain or both or i guess in the case with sailor moon you have a cute little necklace with a pendant on it that's actually kind of adorable here's the rubber straps you got tuxedo mask sailor saturn i think and chibiosa yeah cute and last but not least it's another [ __ ] baggie but this time it's in the shape of a jar it's like literally another baggie oh my god how many baggies do we want are all anime fans like secretly drug addicts where we need a bunch of baggies look i know they're not baggies but in all seriousness what the [ __ ] do you use these things for like what do you store in these other than drugs but that's it for the sailor moon bag these 100 worth of anime merch now can i really say that this is worth a hundred dollars i'm really not too sure to be honest with you i like the one piece bag where i kind of have seen around what the market prices are for the different types of one piece merch i don't have enough experience in buying sailor moon stuff to know if any of this stuff is actually worth the 100 i mean even when you look at these two figurines i'd say this is no more than maybe a thousand yen each the glass maybe might be worth about 2 000 yen but who knows and everything else is all like kuji items that i guess would just kind of left over like this and this and even a handkerchief to be honest i think out of all of them this is the biggest [ __ ] anomaly i don't even know what this is for all we know this thing could be worth like 7 000 yen it could be worth 70 yen who knows my favorite though is definitely this cute little my melody and sailor moon reuben it makes me look like a sexy [ __ ] and the baggy hey girl you want to do some drugs all in all again this one i felt slightly ripped off i want to you know when we're talking about like the five days like 10 000 yen i expect that to be like one big thing where it's like yeah that's where all the value is and this one is kind of just really sporadic and i just have no idea how much any of this stuff is worth i guess it's worth a hundred dollars does it feel like a hundred dollars not really but fear not my we brethren and sisters because we still have the giga chad of anime lucky bags left this is the final level of anime lucky bags a 15 000 yen demon slayer lucky bag 150 dollars worth of demon slayer merch now demon slayer is hot [ __ ] as of right now so you know there's gonna be at least something in here that's gonna because i've been heavily getting into demon slayer ever since i finally caught up on the anime and watched the movie in cinemas so i'm expecting there to be at least something amazing in here but let's find out shall we okay well right at the top of the bag there is a plushie please be nesco please be nesco please be nesco of all the characters that i wanted it had to be my least favorite [ __ ] boy well this isn't a good start let's see what else we got in here we got a demon slayer smartphone ring okay that's actually quite useful we got a little inosuke plushie i'm a little upset because i had the chance to get nezuko and i didn't whoa okay okay you know what this one's actually kind of dark look at this i gotta [ __ ] demonstrate a wallet like how often do you get wallets in a lucky bag and this is actually like a kind of good quality wallet as well look at that this is an accurate representation of what my wall will look like while preparing for this video it's a pc disc map but again of my least favorite character and demon slayer for [ __ ] sake please can i just have something nezuko just please just give it to me yeah the gotcha gods have smiled upon your boy i got a [ __ ] neziko nindroid dude hell the [ __ ] yeah okay i'm actually genuinely happy about this because of all the demon slayer and androids i wanted i wanted nesigo the most and do you know how expensive these [ __ ] androids are like i think the last time i saw a neziko nendoroid in box this by itself cost about a hundred dollars so i think i just pulled a [ __ ] ssr five-star poll in this lucky bag that's going right up there with all of my other nendoroids oh but we still got more let's see what else we got in here why why does this box do this to me i don't want you this is just a tundra mini towel i guess okay that's pretty cute and of course like any popular series you gotta have a rubber keychain cool and we got a few other small things it's not that important and that's it for the 150 demon slayer bag okay first of all i am so happy that i managed to get this like i know i just got my money's worth in this lucky bag thank you welcome home also this demon slayer wallet actually kind of dope i mean i'm probably not going to use it myself but if you're a massive demonstrator fan hey this is actually a comfy nice little wallet right here best way to represent your favorite series look at this three zeitsu stuff i got a desk mat a plushie and this nightmare of a figurine like i would have been happy with literally any other character like where's the shinobus or the mitsurus or you know all the other cool characters in demon slayer where are those so there you go guys now we know what kind of things you can expect if you do decide to spend five hundred dollars on a bunch of mystery anime lucky bags all in all there's a few good things that i really really enjoyed obviously this neziko and android is probably the top of the top for me in terms of the best things but there were also a bunch of i guess other interesting merch that you otherwise wouldn't really be able to see and get a hand of in regular stores but as someone who does own a lot of anime merch and stuff like that would i say that this video was worth it not really i mean personally speaking if i had 500 lying in my back pocket i would carefully choose and optimize my spending on things that i definitely want out of that five hundred dollars but if you like your gacha and like being irresponsible with your spending habits then why not go to akiahabra and spend 500 on random anime [ __ ] like i did i literally just did that oh my god like it just hit me that i actually spent 500 of my hard-earned money on a lot of stuff that i don't really need so i would appreciate the [ __ ] out of if you guys like this video and subscribe just to make my day a little bit better and let me know down in the
