folks well we're out on this gloomy day in Stamford Vermont today out on a enormous piece of property we're gonna go look for some cellar holes which have no wheeler access not only are we going to be walking today but we're also going to be doing a bit of bushwhacking again I don't believe there's a trail so we're going to be heading through thick forest searching for a very vague point in the middle of the woods if we find it I'm confident we will so I received an email and apparently somebody from the whites team is a fan of my videos and they very generously sent out a new white and export metal detector for me to play with for a little while so I have that with me today and I took it first bin in my yard a little bit but other than that I am a complete newbie on it we'll see what I can find with it excited to give it a try so we're going to get all this stuff packed up I'm gonna put on some bug spray and we are going to [Music] you know I always find it so interesting when you find these old stone walls in the middle of this dense dense forest because they would have at one time been borders of fields and you know I've heard stories that over the hundreds of years that people have been in this area that these trees have all been just clear cut and then regrown and clear-cut it's hard to imagine what this would look like with no trees [Music] all right well I've been walking for I don't know quite a quite a while and I just came upon what I believe it could be a cellar you can notice there's no stack stone but it's an obvious hole in the ground and if you're not sure check the ground for iron and indeed there is iron so we're gonna spend some time here so you can't find something old no idea of the age of this place so you figure that out all right I've got my first pretty okay target here it's a 45 I've got it in all metal mode that's why it sounds a little weird see what this is here it's a bullet well at least we know who works for something else well check it out it's a little leg hold trap glad that wasn't now on the surface David Newsies in awhile it's pretty cool I actually have a bunch of these and better shape hanging on my wall at home so I'm gonna leave this one out here but it's pretty cool all right well aside from a couple stove parts uh lots of bullets off their shell casings and lots of shotgun shells but I was walking around and I found this may be hard to see but that's a old road long forgotten and we're gonna we're gonna walk down that see if we can find some more stone walls or cellar holes it's interesting because you know it's not on any Maps and I walked in just following a compass and there's a road follow it see where it goes so I was walking along and I saw that which is a you know telegraph pole that was down and then I spotted this it's a piece of glass what do you think is it gonna be hole they're almost always broken I don't know nice it is chipped but that's pretty awesome what does it say white all Tatum ko number one it's the best they're made in USA nice I actually have a bunch of these at home I usually take him home whenever I find them and since this one's cracked I'm gonna leave it where I found it that's pretty awesome I bet if I looked around I could find more they would come and saw the poles down when they were done with them and just let those glass insulators lay where they fell pretty cool all right well I've moved quite a ways from that last hole came across a little river a little spilling work along and started following it there's the river and check out what I found it's definitely a seller much more promising this time because there is actual stacked stone around and now it's right on the river we're gonna check in between obviously the seller in the river it's pretty swampy in this area so see how we do but I'm excited we got a lamp part oil lamp or a kerosene lamp it's cool to think about that people who lived up here this is their source of light at night because I obviously didn't have electricity this is a pretty important part of life cool alright well you know I've been looking around and seeing all this glass and pottery ceramic stuff I just got a mid-tone and ends up being this pretty little thing I think that it was a suspender very detailed it's pretty cool well I got my first good little find here just ring it up a 10 he's basically right on the surface is a button it definitely has something on there someone looks like a cannonball maybe up here and some cannons looks like it was a two-piece button with an iron back on it that's pretty cool excited to go home and see see the edge on that and what it stands for awesome says 3540 is a little piece of crota bill that he's broken but it's a little piece of you know jingle bell take it nice alright well I got a thing I'm not sure what it is but I clipped it I saw I had writing on it so I thought I'd turn the camera on here is that Centennial hurt gallery interesting what that could have gone to was this maybe I'm like the back of a picture frame that's where somebody bought a piece of art that's interesting I've never seen anything quite like that it rang a sheet metal I mean which it is so I wasn't expecting much but very happy with that that's awesome all right well I just got a little brass piece it's very very strong and sturdy I not sure what that would have gone to it's pretty cool though I actually feel like I want to use this for something myself it is so so tough keychain I don't know figure something out that's pretty cool all right I apologize I'm not getting a lot of these digs in advance show you what the numbers are in the machine but I just don't know it well enough to understand what a good target is but uh look at this little bell that must be the smallest little bell I've ever seen it's so awesome and a rock in it look at that awesome little brass bell alright folks we were at the end of the day today and we did a lot walking a lot of hopping around to different sellers but I had fun this area is beautiful the big boulders especially I don't know what it is about Stanford but they seem to be everywhere we found a lot of home site stuff today you'll notice on this giant boulder alright here's our haul obviously home site stuff got a couple lamp parts over there spoons as usual a bunch of harmonica reads three and they're all different sizes in different styles so square ends it says round ends and sums teeny-tiny it's pretty interesting we got this Centennial art gallery tag you know it's hard to say what this might have been attached to but just the fact that there's a name on there it gives us something for research which I'm excited about this is definitely a horse rosette but this is kind of a mystery item you know it's thin brass and there's no markings or anything on it I'm not sure definitely a bell looks like a bell but I think it's a candle snuffer buckle rivet this I actually find these pretty often this is a piece of a umbrella or a parasol it's the slider piece of suspenders I assume and this is a pieces of ladies underwear this would go to a corset I believe so I've been told and finally have the what I assume is a military button with cannons and a cannonball I assume artillery I'm pretty sure so you know it's always nice to find a coin and we couldn't make it happen today and not because I want to money but because they have dates on them and can really pin down the date of the site and you know based on the stuff I found probably mid 1800s actually hopefully that button can give us some more precise date that would be nice so as always thanks for watching [Music] you
