making my homemade georgia southern peach cobbler okay come on over here but first before i bring you guys on over and show you everything that i'm using i made my homemade pie crust that is going to be used um and i'm going to plate the pie crust it's going to be at the bottom of the pan okay that i'm using to bake the peach cobbler in however i'm going to use store-brought pie crust as i'm making you know cutting it into strips on top of the um peach cobbler honey because moment and fillet standing up making a whole bunch of pie crust by hand okay so we're gonna use homemade pie crust at the bottom of the pan then we're gonna place our peaches in it and then we're gonna use my favorite pie crust which is the pet ritz that's what i grew up on my mother and my grandmother and aunts using when they make an egg pie crust honey we're just going to cut them in strip there's nothing wrong with using store-brought pie crust when you're making peach cobbler apple pies or anything all right before you guys before i bring you over and show you what we're doing i want to mention to everyone my channel has become eligible for memberships now for those of you who'd elect or decide to to receive these lucky gifts like i said cuisinart circulon temptation aisha curry cooking gadgets and utensils anything that you see me using here those winners that i select every month you'll get those different things okay um those different gifts um also i want to say to you that again i mentioned that i made two homemade pie crusts to start this video out with i'm going to have a separate video to show you how you can make your own homemade pie crust as well and honey if you want to use the store-bought pie crust honey use the pet rich that's the best kind out there on the market that's the one i like that's the one i grew up off my family using okay so listen i got my oven set to 350 and we're going to cook this peach cobbler for about an hour and a half okay so listen i got some gloves um let me come on over here and show you all what we're doing okay and the reason why i'm having two gloves is because i've got to reach into the pan i mean the can of peaches and some people have them whole size you know just empty can of peaches over in a pot and cook them i like to cut mine up in half that's what i like to do it's good with the whole ones i've done it before too but i like to cut them up in pieces okay all right so come on over there cause let's show you what we're doing okay so let me move this camera and reposition it back so i can show my cousins what we're doing okay so we're gonna use this cooking element right here so i got my little hot plate and i got my aisha curry and this is a seven quart pot this is nonstick it's durable like i said it's made by aisha curry all right i gotta have it upside down honey no i ain't got it there you go honey i used to y'all got excuse the nails honey mommy got the nails done anybody nails today honey it's about this peach cobbler because that's what we're about to get down with now listen i'm using light brown sugar i don't do i don't do dark brown sugar so this is one cup of light brown sugar okay then we have one and a half cups of granulated sugar i have one stick of salted butter i have me some nutmeg honey i'm in love with the nutmeg okay then we have some sugar and cinnamon mixed up you get whatever's on sale i use the kroger brand and then i have the regular mccormick okay and then i have two let me show you this i don't know if i can get a good picture of it they're open so let me move this i have two six pound pans of yellow clean peaches i gotta be careful because the can is open so i have two of these two cans of these six pounds okay all right and it's covered in the juices so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to slide the sugars back for a minute and we're going to bring forward our peaches and the reason why is because i want to cut these peaches up i want to get them into the pan so we can start heating our peaches up okay and we're just going to bring them to like a little summer boil that's all we're going to do we're just going to bring them to a simmer boil get them nice and hot and then as we get them nice and hot and come to a little simmer boil and then what we're going to do is turn off our little cooking pot here and hot plate should i say and then we'll take those peaches and empty them over in our cooking dish all right so i'm going to put on these gloves and like i said i just don't want to get my hands all sticky and i'm just going to put my hand in these gloves and we're going to cut up our peaches honey because i ain't trying to get my hands sticky all right so i hope everyone is having a great day you are going to enjoy and love this peach cobbler honey it's going to be so whoo honey it's going to be a sweet juicy georgia southern peach cobbler y'all gonna love this peach chocolate honey got it so good my oldest daughter can cook it you all are gonna really love this now i don't just throw my cans in the trash i like to take them and put them in the sink and clean them out with soapy hot water before i throw them in the trash okay so give me a moment let me just put this in a sink because i always gotta wash these before all right so here we are with our peaches you see how they are i'm gonna bring bring it a little closer okay and sometimes you can open it and get a little bad one like you know there's gone bad in there i call it gone bad but you know i just like to cut them in half just like that bite size pieces that's what i like to do that's what i like to do all right so i just want to show you guys as i'm cutting up a few of these and then i'll come back to you just want to start this off to show you all how you're going to do this and i'm going to be using a 9 by 13 deep dish baking pan okay and i'm going to show you guys that as well so this is what we're going to do okay i got juice dripping all down my pan honey i mean that won't get it cleaned up just want to cut them up in bite size pieces just like that okay all right so i'm going to come back to you all once i finish cutting up all these peaches okay because i got the next pan to do i mean next can to cut up as well so i'll come back to you as soon as i'm done okay okay cousin so i've cut up all my peaches put them over now seven quart uh cooking pot and um off camera what i had to do the can of peaches that the peaches were in the syrup was very very very light i wasn't looking for anything very heavy in syrup or anything like that but there was no sweetness it was like more bitterness right so what i did off camera was i added in about two and a half cups of sugar white granulated sugar okay and i did this so we can get the sweetness to start processing as the peaches are heating up so now that our peaches have been heated up i've washed my hands i've cleaned my pans um so while i was waiting on the peaches to start heating up and get that sweetness because you want to have a spoon on the side to taste your peach syrup to make sure it's that desired sweetness level that you like okay um like i said it was like a bittersweet there was no sweetness in it so cousin angie had to honey we had to get it up to level honey we had to bring it up to par so what i did was added two and a half cups of white green lady sugar off camera now what i like to do is to show you all the rest of the steps how we're gonna do it now the two homemade pie crusts they're in refrigerator because when you make homemade pie crust you have to remove them right before you're ready to use them preferably 30 minutes prior to using them because once the pie crusts get hard when you make them homemade once they get too hard and you're ready to use them honey you got to wait a while before you throw them out so you always want to bring them out just in time for you to use them okay so give me one minute let me get my pie crust out honey so you don't want to make your pie crust i'm sorry you don't want to make your pie crust and leave it in your refrigerator too long it becomes very hard and you won't be able to use it so here's a homemade pie crust honey it's very moist you see i'm able to move it with my fingers you see i'm able to get that there okay cool so here's our other one okay and like i said it's gonna be a separate video showing you all how you can make these buttery flaky homemade pie crusts that's gonna be a separate video that'll be uploaded today as well okay so you have the peach cobbler video and you're gonna have the homemade flaky pie crust video you have two videos today okay so we have them out remember when you're ready to make your pies or anything that you're using a homemade pie crust when you're making a homemade pie crust for any meal that you're doing you do not want to bring them out at the last minute bring them out 30 minutes prior to using them because you want to make sure they're nice and soft and you'll be able to work with them and i'm going to show you how we're going to roll it out now back in the day grandma on them used to put some flour on the counter and get that rolling pin and if you don't have a rolling pin honey that's all right get you a glass put your little make sure it's nice and clean now nice and clean and dry and and then what you want to do is put your little flower around that soap that thing honey that glass and roll that pie crust out but we're not about to dirty up our counters we ain't about to do all that i'm going to show you another way how we're going to roll our pie crust out with eliminating the flour on the counter and making a mess i'll get to that when we get to that part but let's finish getting our peaches sweetened for our peach cobbler also before i show you that here's our day our baking dish this is our 9 by 13 deep baking dish okay you're going to love this baking dish you all go on over to my community tab on my page and learn more about becoming a member on my channel it's totally optional but again everything you see me using here in my kitchen when i bring you all these southern comfort confeditions these are what my members will receive as my way of saying thank you for supporting my page okay um so please go over to the community tab and read more and learn more about becoming a member all right so like i said a 9x13 deep dish baking dish very durable very heavy you're gonna love it and it comes with its own top okay so come on over our peaches are ready they're hot let's get started okay so here we are excuse me i'm gonna bring you so keep your a testing spoon so you can taste everything let me pull this to me because honey this suck is hot i ain't trying to burn myself jesus i'm just trying to get to the peach cobbler all right so now that our peaches are hot we're going to go ahead and we got one stick of salted butter okay so we're just going to add this one stick of salted butter you don't need two because you ain't trying to have all that buttery taste in your mouth you have more buttery taste than you would the peaches and the sweetness so you see it's at room temperature see that that's what you want honey i ain't trying to throw no butter away i don't told y'all about throwing your money away you see how fast that butter is melting in those peaches that lets us know we where we need to be honey so it's not going to take long before we able to go ahead now i'm going to bring my pastures because i'm going to use my homemade pie crust and keep your trash bag on the side i'm gonna use my homemade pie crust as we line up the bottom of our pan our baking dish okay and i also have my nun stick let me show you what we're working with we're gonna spray our pan always spray your pan when you're baking this is what i use i don't use anything else this is all i use baker's joy nonstick i use nothing else but this get you some of this you're going to love it we're going to use that to spray the bottom of our baking dish along the sides as well okay to prevent that crust from sticking all right all right yeah honey we making some noise over this way honey it's nice and hot all right listen we're gonna go ahead we're gonna add our one cup of light brown sugar all right and i want to tell you a tip about light brown sugar dark brown sugar whatever kind of sugar you prefer to use when you baking or cooking let me tell you something when you get that light brown sugar like grandma nem used to use excuse me how do you preserve your sugar let me tell you how to preserve your sugar to prevent excuse me to prevent it from going hard let me tell you what you do what you want to do is to get your ziploc bag put your sugar in a ziploc bag i'm going to show you exactly what i'm talking about here in just a moment oh yeah baby it smells so good we ain't even playing with you for the one time now listen this is 12 i had two six ounce two six pounds of um can of peaches both of those kids were six pounds so we have 12 pounds of peaches honey so that one stick of butter is gone honey it's down in here melted floating somewhere in the sea all right so now that we added our one cup of light brown sugar we're gonna go ahead and add our one and a half cup of white granulated sugar remember we had to add two and a half cups earlier of white gray lady sugar and the reason why because when i was cutting up my peaches after i got them cut up i got me a clean spoon i taste the syrup and honey honey it was not it was not it i had to add two and a half cups of white green later sugar to get it to that desired sweetness just to get those peaches to start warming up as you don't want to have some bitter peaches if i hadn't done that and added that one and a half cups i just did it would have been a bland taste okay all right next what i want to do is add some brown sugar and cinnamon i'm just going to take my top off and eyeball it and i can tell you probably be like excuse me probably be like three tablespoons excuse me one minute excuse me let's step back and turn my head all right so that's about three tablespoons all right all right give me one more maybe i get something to drink okay so now we gotta use our grind ground nutmeg and like i like i love me some nutmeg it's the cinnamon i can't deal with so the nutmeg honey i'm a nutmeg lover oh lord jesus listen you could put you probably about two tablespoons of nutmeg in here when you probably said cousin ninja that's a lot of nutmeg baby don't play with me when it comes to the nutmeg i don't overdo it i just love to have that nice flavor that nutmeg in there [Music] cheese has helped the nutmeg that's all i can tell you about the nutmeg next we're gonna go on over here to the cousin we don't like called ground cinnamon don't too much like her i'm just gonna be real with you so i'm just gonna put a dash of this in here because we have to we'll have another choice so that's about a tablespoon that's it a tablespoon that's it that's all i use that cousin called cinnamon i don't i really don't care for it but if i know it's required in my baking dish i use it because it's required in the baking dish all right so now that we got all that in there everything and these peaches are nice and hot you saw how quick that butter melted and even if it wasn't at room temperature honestly it would have melted look i missed the peaches a piece of a peach that i didn't cut up in half i don't like to bite down in chunks of peaches so we're just going to cut that in half look at that honey that's it all right so as i was saying if i hadn't had that um butter at room temperature still would have melted very quickly very quickly all right so listen i have another clean spoon here so i'm gonna take my clean spoon and we're gonna taste this and see how sweet it is i just want to taste that juice that's all i want to do nothing else come on jesus help just help the peach cobbler i ain't anybody play with y'all for the one time that peach cobbler good right there it's gonna be all right yes lord but i tell you what i can do i can use just a little bit more sugar okay everyone so i got me some sugar so let me do this right here to make sure that i have the accurate amount of sugar give me a minute earlier so we're gonna put like a third of a cup in here just a little bit we don't need much just a third of a cup okay so we're just gonna add that in here honey and i got me a nice clean spoon here i just brought on board and i want to show you all let me get this sugar in here and that's how you preserve your sugar and this is white granulated sugar right so what i like to do is i like to get all the air out of my bags all the air [Applause] all right so we got all the air at that back so here we are we're going to go ahead we're going to stir up our peaches okay and i just got me a new clean spoon so i can taste this oh wow these are nice and hot so we need to go ahead and get ready to put this into our baking dish okay so now now that we got these stirred up really well we've got our nutmeg in there we've got our cinnamon in there we've got our light brown sugar in here so next what we want to do is like i said i just brought a new clean spoon on board and so now i've got a smaller one so now what we're going to do is taste the syrup see where we are we're not going to add any more sugar char we ready for the ball game that's it we just take this honey turn it on off i'm going to unplug this unit and what i'm going to do is i'm going to remember keep your trash back right i want to show you all that trick i told you about so with the light brown sugar for those of you who store your light brown sugar in your refrigerator and it becomes too hard i'm gonna show you a trick so this one like this one box of light brown sugar it could have been your dark brown sugar it doesn't really matter right so my grandmother used to take her sugar when she finished with it and instead of putting it in a refrigerator it makes it really really hard right so you see there's no air in this bag there's no air in this bag so what you do is you get all the air out the best way you can you get honey you got to pull it up here and fold it over like this and then fold it over again you just the goal is you can't have no air in the back none and then you pull it across till it's nicely secured and tight and then honey you take that and put it back in your box and put it in your pantry you do not want to put it in a refrigerator it's going to get hard and when you're ready to use it for the next dish that you need to bake or cook or whatever you're doing you're using it for it's going to be hard as a rock let me show you something i forgot to show you that i'm sorry let me show you something how soft this is look at that you can mash this see how see how soft it is it's breaking up this stuff is real soft you can see my fingerprint it's real soft do not put it in the refrigerator it's going to get very very hard wrap it up get all the air out of it put it back in your box and preserve it in your pantry okay cousin so now i've moved my peaches over to a cooling rack okay so next what i want to do is spray our baking dish okay and again this is a 9x13 deep dish baking dish so let's shake it up this is my baker's joy shake it up and i'm going to remove it because my stove is to the right of me so i'm just going to spray it aside and i'm gonna spray the bottom just so that my pie crust won't stick that's all okay now i'm gonna bring over my pie crust and again these are my homemade buttery flakery pie crust all right i'll move all this up my way have a little bit of space here but it's okay god blessed us with it right right so now to our pie crust what we're going to do is we have us some rentals wrap not rentals but rentals wrap but rentals and this is our wax paper so i'm going to show you how we're going to roll out our pie crust and pull this out just a little small piece of wax paper and pull aside another piece here's the trick i'm gonna show you do one crack pie crust at a time when i take this and lay it on top over here just lay it there for a second just lay it there so we're going to take this pie crust you want to use saran wrap when you're you're making your pie crust i get the walmart brand i'll show you what it is in a little bit okay i like the walmart branch it's thick and it's durable okay so here's a parker oh i didn't even show the keys to that girls i'm sorry so here's our pie crust okay we have us a piece of reynolds wrap wax paper we're going to take our pie crust this is homemade buttery you see that there so we're going to take it i want to make sure it's nice and i don't want to break it up and it's okay if it starts to break up you just put it in a ball it's okay just put it in a ball and lightly just toss it around your hand like that just roll it around make it into a ball okay all right so then we're going to put it in the center of our wax paper back in the day grandma then used to take some flour and put it on the counter they would roll it out with a rolling pin or like i said if you don't have a rolling pin honey get your glass just make sure everything is nice and clean your workstation is clean and honey get you some wax paper about rentals i don't use nobody else wax paper but rentals all right got my rolling pin nice and clean we don't need no flour remember we got the reynolds wrap paper wax paper we got our homemade pie crust we got another piece of reynolds wrap honey we just gonna roll it so it's gonna move so don't worry about it just lightly roll just lightly roll and you're gonna turn with it just lightly roll you don't need nothing else just lightly lightly roll it's gonna turn don't worry about that cousin angie trying to show you a trick just lightly roll you see how it's turning you just turn you just let the rolling pin guide you see there you just roll let the rolling pin just lightly just pick it up and just lightly roll it out see now you're eliminating all that flour on your counter and you happen to get all that soapy hot water and clean it up you don't need all that just roll just lightly pick it up just like a brush you know like you're brushing your hair just lightly roll it turn your wax paper and it's going to be as wide as you can get it we're just going to pull this up a little bit now listen when you pull the top sheet and it comes off the bottom it's okay it's just pie crust we're just gonna flip it you want to loosen it up on this side slowly look at there oh honey you can smell that butter that's coming up off there and i'm gonna tell you the trick to what i used to make this i'm gonna show you in the video so listen now i'll take my hand under here honey make sure you're securing it with the bottom of your hand flip it see how i did that it's all right if it starts to come loose on the side like mine did just take your finger rub it down softly just rub it down it's all right and see how you just got to take your time you just can't pull it back you just gotta take your time yes work it slowly work it slowly don't throw your paper away because you want to use it for the next one whenever you see a little piece coming up of your pie crust just put your wax paper down take your finger just softly just softly now lick your wax paper up here because you got to roll out your next dough all right so i'm just going to roll it like this why because i want to bring my pie crust my pan over here so this is what we're going to do i'm going to just place it in our pan just like that oh if it comes apart that's okay honey we're going to work it back together just let it just let it stick down like that put it down like that it'll come together just bend it back together it'll come together it's okay you just want to position it in your pan just like that you start to see it come you know separate just take your fingers and softly just bend it back together just bend it back together that's all you got to do now we're going to slowly work our pie crust off you want to make sure it sticks to your pan because this is homemade and it's fresh whatever look how easy this is coming off you just got to bend it softly back together you start when you lift it and you start to see it come apart just just rub it just rub it slowly just rub it see a little air pocket just rub it slowly just gently okay look at there comes right on up voila that's how you want to do it put that down for the next one that's how you want to do it i'm going to get the next part across i see a few pieces of the dough on here from the other one that we just did okay and what i might end up doing is putting some of the store crust on top of it just so that it could uh be thick enough because it's very thin and i don't want to have a thin bottom layer crust okay so we have our second one all right it's so moist all right all right so then we get our rolling pin same process that we did earlier remember grandma used to say she gotta do a little surgery to the pie in the kitchen honey it's all right if the pie crust is too thin we'll just add some more dough to it honey another pie crust on top of it ain't not hurt just gonna make it thick the trick is we don't want a thin bottom layer crust we want it to be nice and thick all right turn just want to loosen it okay nothing nothing sticking to the paper so next push that back just a little bit you want to bring it back slowly just like when you start to see something come up you just take your hand and just rub it down and then slowly lift it and look at there oh let's see a piece coming off right here we're going to take it roll it i'm just going to mend it to the pie crust just going to mend it in here just softly mending it back together just want to mend that pot crust all the way around just take your hand and just smooth it out around along the sides just like we did the other one okay i'm gonna stop right here okay what i've decided to do i'm gonna go ahead and get this pie crust in here we're gonna fit it the best way we can in his pan the problem is it's a little too thin i should have made the batter thicker but that's okay we're going to make this thick by adding on the store bro pie crust so that our bottom layer can be very nice and thick okay pull it back nice and slowly nice and slowly and so that we can have a nice thick bottom layer to our peach cobbler what we're going to do is just have the store brought put some more pie crust on it using the store-bought pie crust all right all right look at there we got it see there we didn't make a mess look at there let that stay right there and so what i want i want it to be filled all along the sides i want my base of my pot to be nice and thick so let me show you what i have right here honey it's okay it just means that the pie crust is a little bit too thin so this is what i have i have the pet rich pie crust okay the pet rich pie crust so what we're going to do is we're going to cut this we're going to use this and we're gonna make our bottom layer nice and thick okay and i'll show you what we're about to do straight out the freezer straight out the freezer it's getting a little bit too soft that's okay we're just going to mend it just like that so what i want to do is take the pie crust because it's frozen you see how frozen it is and i'm just going to cut along honey just hold it together i wish there was a way i can just empty the whole pie crust over in there but we don't want it to crumble so i want to show you what i'm going to do oh lord that's okay it's going to mend back together okay and this is the way i've always done it okay so i'll take this and i'm gonna line it up just like that just like grandma used to do honey cheers like that and watch us come out with this package look it's coming on out honey oh hey man hey man hey man we're gonna have a thick pie crust amen that's the way angie wanted it come on packers okay all right so you can take your end pieces right here right flip it over ain't nobody gonna see the bottom layer honey because the bottom layer gonna eat okay bingo and all these little pieces right here i'm like i wanna okay save all those little pieces because we're gonna add that to the to the uh peach cobbler so don't throw those away let me just set these right here for the one time all right all right listen if we can get this one to come up like the other one honey we're gonna go ahead and add her to the party too all right here you go i'm actually going to take this one piece and put it on top like that look at that piece right there see how we're coming along just like that we just want a thick bottom layer it's all going to cook just fine it's going to come out just the way you want it i'm going to take these three there we go we completed our bottom part all right i'm gonna add this little piece right here don't worry about what the bottom layer looks like honey the trick is is to secure the bottom layer as thick as you can and that's what we did now when we get along the sides cousin and you got a trick for you we want to start adding our peaches okay all right now i'm gonna bring this oh it's hot come on jesus it's hot we don't need this no more all right so i'm gonna do it like this and it smells so good oh yeah my grandmother whenever she ran out of peaches for the pie you know like if she had enough in her pie she would take the rest of them and secure it in a ziploc gallon freezer bag and put them in her deep freezer for the next cobbler it was something about grandma's homemade peach goblin you couldn't have told me nothing that that was it right there for me grandma grandma whatever she did in the kitchen angie was ready when she went to visit for the summer honey and i miss my grandmother one of my favorite things was after church on sunday everybody went to grandma's house for dinner we went home and you were nice and full when mama took you home grandma don't fed the whole clan okay make sure you get peaches everywhere see our bottom layer crust is nice and thick the trick is now we just need a lot of peaches make sure we got enough on that bottom layer all right cool now let's secure the top layer of peaches with pie crust okay so we're gonna go ahead and just add this to the mix right quick let's put that over in that corner we're gonna dress up the corner and make those pie crusts look the way they're supposed to look you gotta dress up that pie crust honey it's all gonna come together in that oven cousin nancy going to show you what you're working with that cousin in to get another pie crust we got the bag full of them and never run out of pockets when i say i'm making a peach cobbler honey we go to the store we get the pie crust go on base and get all the pie crust you can get when you go to the commissary on base and don't worry about if your pie crust you know if it breaks up like it's doing it's okay we're going to mend it back together and when that pie crusts come out that oven honey you're going to be like damn that probably look good and it tastes good yeah don't worry about what it looks like when you're cutting it honey we know how to mend it back together grandma taught us that don't worry about that i'm trying to show the children honey cousin angie gotcha it's a georgia southern peach cobbler honey all right here we go remember those end pieces save those end pieces let me get my butter knife to help guide me there we go all right so we're going to put that on top wherever it's short at you want to take your long piece and put it on top that's the whole goal okay okay you run out of pot girls honey you just put your another long strip on top and you you got it i'm going to show you all how to do a little surgery on the peach cobbler to make it look presentable your pie crust crack do not be afraid all right i'll be back when i finish okay now that we've got our pie crust see how we did that see how nice that looks it's gonna mend back together like what what i like to do is i like to take a little bit of the sugar and cinnamon just a little bit just to sweeten it up okay now i've got a stick of stick of butter over there sticking a half of butter and i'm melting it on top of my stove and the reason why i'm doing that and i have a little bit of nutmeg i don't like to eat a peach cobbler in this blend so what i like to do is just sprinkle a little bit of nutmeg it's not go along on every level just sprinkle a little bit it's going to enhance that flavor that peach cobbler just a little bit see how lightly i did that just a coat just a dust and see how well we did that peach cobbler we did that real good okay now look we're gonna turn it around we're gonna put some more peaches on top and this is gonna be our last layer okay god it smells so good okay make sure you don't leave any holes uncovered you want to make sure you have a nice thick juicy peach cobbler cover all your bases the best you can all right i think we've got our bases covered so this will be my only layer my last layer of the peaches so now i'm gonna get ready to add my crust and i'm gonna do a double layer crust and i'll show you like a latisse cross crust i'm gonna show you how i'm gonna do that okay i just want to make sure i got all avenues covered with my peaches here so now we're going to probably use about two more packs of pie crust i can tell you that now all right all right all right okay so i'm gonna do the same thing to the top layer this is our final layer of the pie crust okay cutting it this way because it's frozen you just want to take those ends just like you cut them put them together right here in the corner just like that oh you can't see me hold on my mama bring back this well maybe i can move this over here you want to put those in together just like i cut them see like this just put it on top and see how you got one long layer just how you want to do it sugar and if you need to use your butter knife see that long layer that's going to be your next layer just like that mama got it honey i'm gonna bend it back together just like we got it get a little butter knife just like you cut it just handle it delicately very delicate put that back on top just like you found it when you cut it when you run out of space you just resume to the next one to the next pie crust and you just continue on okay okay huh we're just going to add that to that just like that beautiful and then we're going to take this piece here i'm just going to crumble these on up right here for the start on the next one okay i got my butter over this ready give me one minute let me get my butt out that had to grab my butter hurt my butter boiling so i had to bubbling so i had to um turn it off i'm about to show you what we're about to do to this butter okay all right actually i'm gonna put a piece on top of that one i got plenty more cockroach just like that see how beautiful that looks that's what you want to do honey you want to have a little surgery in your pot now get this stuff up off here honey remember cousin edgy told y'all to keep a little trash can by you when you're cooking honey that's how my grandmother taught me to clean as you go along honey all right get my hands nice and clean we're gonna add some more um sugar and cinnamon can you see that let me put the pie crust over here sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon sugar that's something you want the sweetness in every bite that's a little bit then we're gonna add some of our nutmeg all right you're gonna love this peach cobbler trust me i got you on this one all right now we're gonna get that butter i told you about all right so the butter is nicely melted it's one stick of salted butter actually it's a stick and a half and i'm just gonna glide it over there like that like that jesus jesus help us with this peach cobbler and we're just going to put another layer of pie crust on here and then honey we set we ready to go in the oven it's getting nice and buttery and flaky and sweet and a moist peach cobbler honey okay so listen i'm gonna set this along i want to get some of that butter down in there all right so i'm gonna sit this right here to the side see that let that go in there marinate honey let that marinate down there for the one time all right this is gonna be our last layer to our peach cobbler this is gonna be it oh wait honey i ain't even finished let me open this bag can't even finish putting on the other one i forgot all about it all right okay so i'm going to go ahead and we're going to cut this one so now i'm gonna resume using this layer this pie so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna come this way with that and let me use this just cut this down a little bit so we're going to take this and do it this way like that oh honey there's probably gonna be something you hear me all right just like that all right save those pieces honey because what i usually do like grandma do is just ball them up like this and drop them along the dough that's what i do that's just what my grandmother did all right now let's finish up this pie all right and what we don't use we wrap it in saran wrap put it back in the freezer in the deep freezer okay and if that one tip don't worry we got more pie let me make that let me get the pan we're reserving them in we're going to put them right in there so don't worry about these let me show you just like grandma used to do you know how she used to make those little dumplings huh let me show you so let's get this made first okay just like that i want you guys to leave me a thumbs up let me know what you think about this video please share this video with your loved ones and family and friends and leave me a comment and if you make this one come back and let me know what you think about it all right all right and that's how we gonna do it for the one time just like that just like that so my grandmother used to take them and she used to ball them up you know a little balls and just put some here and there down in the dough just down in there you don't need all of them just a few just fill in the gaps now i do see one pie crust right here that i can make look presentable and that's that right there hello hello that's how we gonna do it for the one time if you see where you can make it better honey make it better look at that okay i think we all set i'm gonna do this corner right here and we all said mama's done the trick is you want to fill it up and it's all going to mend together okay all right i think we said i could do something right here and i think we're all set i use this no we're good okay so i'm not going to use any more of that so now in the closing come back while this is in the oven and clean up with soapy hot water all right now i'm going to get my white green lady sugar i'll show you what i'm going to do i got my white green they get sugar here but first i want to sprinkle me some nutmeg okay okay just want to sprinkle some nutmeg and you notice i've done this on every layer layer excuse me can't even get it out okay we're done now instead of the cinnamon sugar i always just put the sugar itself [Applause] it's going to be that nice sugary flaky top layer just a little bit in every bite it's like getting a table a couple of tablespoons a tablespoon and a half and just putting a little bit of sugar on top so you touch bite into that crust honey it's nice and sugary buttery flaky we're good it's a little bit more right here i didn't get that right there all right and then we're done i'm just going to add the butter to the pie crust all right got my butter here and we're just going to do it like that and again is just going to make it really lightly golden brown i've seen some people you know growing up there i've seen them use egg whites i didn't know about doing that egg wash we doing what grandma taught us to do we're using this butter that's what we're doing that's how we do it that's how we were raised up off of it and that's all i've ever done all my merit life is the butter but if you do your egg wash that's you i'm not my recipe because calls for butter just like my grandmother did it and if you don't have a pastry brush it's okay just get you um just get you a teaspoon or so and just lightly drizzle it on top okay so you want that nicely golden brown crust all right there you go we already go in the oven honey we're ready we're ready lord i know y'all gonna enjoy this peach cobbler because honey i am i ain't about to talk to you anything about play with your mama going to get down for you down all right we're going in the oven on 350. tell her put a little bit of cinnamon sugar tell her y'all
