Hermitcraft 7: Episode 24 - GRUMBOT LIVES!

grumble tea is here I've been chatting with Riaan and he says that the exterior has been all finished the bot is actually constructed and I assume it's over by the headquarters so I'm excited to see what an she looks whoa what is going on can you see and am I going crazy there or are those battle must've like it was wobbling as we were on our way in so the textures are kind of going a little bit crazy this looks amazing Wow whoa whoa whoa what just happened there oh my goodness it looks like that that's like mate Trixie depending on light if you really squint your eyes and she looks like that it's like that the text is like going down the screen you know all the ones and zeros things this is wicked this is seriously seriously cool okay so I'm guessing these are all the inputs and outputs and things like that I'm assuming that none of them are connected up to any form of redstone if we just peek inside here yeah if grumble is a hollow shell so I suppose I should actually build up the brain for this thing might actually be a little bit complicated I mean it's only creating an artificial intelligence making use of redstone I mean how hard could it be quite hard actually considering I have I have zero redstone was also left this is this is I have what 15 bits of redstone left to my name so I guess I mean I have to do this your fashioned way my have to go out mining I seem to have a vintage beef in my base I wonder what this is all about then take his book I promise let's try this again I can't even get it I can only steal his trousers I've had to do some really horrible things to you before I I do apologise but I do want to say a massive thank you for the coupon he's congratulating me for my run Vermeer and he's given me a coupon to use inside his stores so I guess we can make use of that oh my goodness that is the coolest thing ever that is the coolest thing ever we can now buy album posters they're quite expensive though I don't actually have that many diamonds I can't afford it but I want it I think this might be one of my favorite minecraft songs it's like slightly psychedelic it's pretty cool oh yeah this is my jam alright so I'm gonna buy I'm gonna buy this so I can actually play my record but then I'm also going to buy chap boom and you know what I've just had a really really stupid idea that I think is brilliant so I'm also a beacon I've got a good spot in which to do this mining session I'm going to do a 1-hour mining session so hopefully we can get a decent number of resources I'm gonna track down this jukebox right here and yeah let's let's do a time-lapse to this song but I'm going to try my best to get a little bit creative and maybe turn it into some form of weird minecraft mining music video let's see what happens [Music] well that was fun and pretty profitable as well as you can see I managed to solve my redstone problem at least temporarily but also we managed to get a snack and a half of diamonds which is not bad for one out of mining session the only slight issue is I did manage to break my pickaxe so I've got myself a new one and every single time I break my bake axe I add a little bit to the end of the word indestructible so now we round to indestructible available by the end of the season we're going to start running into some problems I think anyway shall we start work on the ground bot now you have no idea how far I've had to go how far I've had to travel to find these guys I swear leather must be the most valuable commodity on the hermit craft server right now I mean seriously it's ridiculous anyway I would totally say this worth it because we now have these little symbols or titles for each one of the buttons on the front of Grumbach here so step one is to prime grumble so we have to hit that bar and there step two is to boot load the brain step three is to flood the mayoral reservoir and then step number four is to deposit payment because III feel like one but shouldn't be free for us to use I feel like you know we need to pay him for his services so I guess we'll have to put a diamond in there and that will pay Grumbach to actually give us advice and I thought it would be interesting to add in a few sound effects to this thing so you've got there we go so we kind of have it going through all the different stages now I'm going to have to work on the artificial intelligence in the actual decision-making circuits in a little bit but for now I think it would be I think you'll be interesting I've been kinda great about this if we could have it have emotions so he could we can kind of alter the eyes a little bit here and we can have it display its emotions so for example if it gets a stupid question it can get angry at you if you ask you something that it takes offense to then it can actually show that it's sad we can program all this stuff into it so I'm just gonna do a quick first test of it looking cross let's see so if I if I put something inside that and dropper right there I've taken out the item filter so we can put anything in there and let's just see if the cross circuit is working there is we've annoyed grumble right let's see if sad is working button is being pressed okay now we wait wait for the things to be processed I've forced it to be sad oh that's almost a little bit upsetting gumball has such like a emotive face he's like a cute little puppy dog robot a matrix a matrix dog I don't know it is now the next morning and I spent a lot of last night working on this thing I a lot of hours into it because I mean as much as I like the eyeballs and things you know that it just felt like there was there was quite a lot missing from it and also if he wasn't angry or sad the face would have stayed the same there wasn't too much animation going on so I just I went to town I did all of the Redstone basically I just got to it the face is done brain is done everything is done this thing is now functioning and I do currently have it in test mode so I guess we should give it a run so first off obviously we have to prime brahmbhatt then we have to bootloaders brain then we have to flaunt the meryl reservoir and then we need to deposit the payment which is in the dropper is then going to run some calculations and things and okay so he's a little bit sad that he's having to do tests but as you can see he has outputted the test message so that means that this thing it is it's all working it's ready to go we now have we now have ourselves a mayoral boss I mean how could we lose the barrel race now there's literally no way that we can do it look at this thing alright we have we have artificial intelligence on our sides and it's smarts artificial intelligence is like it's like super intelligent artificial intelligence not stupid artificial intelligence this is real intelligent intelligence artificial intelligence I don't know what I'm talking about either I lost track of all I was saying about halfway a couple online I wonder when that happened that must be pretty recent oh yeah calling teeth oh it was it was a couple hours ago and apparently no one was there to see it which I would say is a pretty fitting end for this old thing rest in peace but on 15th of April to the 26th of May 41 good days of life right well I guess my little yellow belt comes off then soon I I can't quite bring myself to do it just yet these were the disappeared to be gone again and I'm not entirely sure how that keeps happening is is my protection not good enough I mean let's face it that's probably the case is any it through by 3 square anyway now that grumble is all finished I thought it'd be good to pop over to this area here and actually build up the other half of our villager trading Hall because obviously you know we've reached maximum capacity in this area here these little emerald iron traders they have been working hard and all of them 1 iron per emerald so this is basically my emerald factory right here I'm going to get the other half in place and on deliberating not to have them also exempt iron to than there's I think forty eight iron traders all in one place or if we go for something else like maybe farmers that could be a good move or do I want to have all of the farmers in the industrial district so that I can easily move the melons and the pumpkins from the industrial district into farmers in the industrial district and it kind of keeps it all in one place that's ah we'll cross that bridge when it comes to it how about that I'll get it built first but the first thing that I've had to do is spend a few hours just sorting out all of the shoulder boxes and my inventory and all of the items that are dotted around because I've spent this whole this whole episode with about one slot left in my inventory and it's been driving me around the bend stage one has been completed the original little trading hall has been fully removed so now we have plenty of space to work with now I just need to construct this thing and I'm hoping because I've built it before it should be easier although you know redstone contraptions they tend to throw up all sorts of weird issues does anyone remember when trap doors had to be placed on a block for you to be able to place them that was frustrating to add she wasn't it the same for pumpkins as well there were certain blocks in Minecraft that you just couldn't place in the air and made them a nightmare to build with now I just want to point out because I know that people are going to be screaming in the comments section that one side is jungle wood and one side is regular wood that is actually on purpose you see I am someone okay when this thing gets filled I get really frustrated with the fact that if it's symmetrical on both sides and is exactly the same when I fly off somewhere for some reason my brainer I always go the wrong way without fail so it's nice to have some way to orientate myself inside these things so that I can actually take off in the right direction and that totally isn't an excuse for the fact that I had a lot more jungle wood than I had regular wood so it's it's not an excuse in the slightest not at all in fact I personally just I love the way that it looks when they don't match no but seriously that is genuinely going to be handy and it's it's really not an excuse I promise sort of anyway this thing is now all built it finished and constructed I've just hooked up the minecart line so that means that when we cure up a villager it will round like this pop out of his mind car appear in there and then drop straight down into this system now this system is really really strange I'll quickly explain it for anyone who hasn't actually seen me building up this side but it makes use of double carpets to just completely freeze the villager so as soon as the villager stands on one of these it will it will basically lock up above him but then also the villager himself will lock up because he doesn't actually think he can move anywhere those double carpets they're like air blocks for them he doesn't think he can walk anywhere because he just sees it there who doesn't want to walk off the edge of a cliff or anything like that so he'll just be stuck and as you can see on this side all of these guys they're Chinna next to one another they can't even they can't walk anywhere so they're kind of locked in position it's a super smart design I'll put a link to it down in the description I didn't come up with it someone far smarter than me he came up with it and it's brilliant I appear to have caught a creeper I don't really know what to do about it just walk away and hope the problem disappears anyway I'm actually gonna walk off to grumble now because I need to agree and and I've got to say I'm kind of nervous you know like green put a lot of effort into the outside and it's absolutely adorable so I just really hope that you likes the brain that I've put on the inside of this thing let's see what he says I mean I don't really understand how we've both ended up on these end roads but I feel like this is what we should do every single time we come home yeah I agree these are ever so I've built up all the Redstone I've developed artificial intelligence in Minecraft making use of redstone you know I'm quite proud of myself on that one it took a day and a cracked artificial intelligence like that just took a day really yeah so I'm it should it should all be working and we should be able to start asking it questions and things okay and sorry how does it work okay okay yeah I'll explain that to you yes so what we've got is we've got this dropper right here this is the important dropper because this dropper is actually what is going to give out the mayoral advice okay so this is like super scary important so this is out there yep and then we have the different stages of priming all of which are incredibly important I mean you up step right up I'm just trying to get that prime Grum bot step to boot load brain yeah it'll be important okay step three flood mayoral reservoir yep reservoirs you know you just got to get them flooded and mayoral yep you may be maybe the first humans ever to use that sequence of words you'd be surprised I know I'm curious the situation is someone else used it and then deposit question diamond yes deposit what does that mean we have to it yeah you have to name a diamond and then that's that's what you put the question in and then yeah you make your payment you designed a machine that we have to pay to use oh yeah yeah yeah I was the one that built this why did I make it charge he probably has feelings too he's not officially intelligent want to be doing this for free everyone on the server needs or just wants diamonds as if anyone cares about even the things that we create they want diamond no I know it's a real problem right well it should we should we start chucking questions into this thing I've only just saying that we need to avoid funding well yeah so I mean it kind of makes sense because if he's gonna tell us to do something we have to spend the diamonds to make it okay okay you got it we'll get you diamonds yes sir I don't know whether to be excited that it works that well or scared does it work that well I guess we'll have to wait and see how things go there we'll have to see how all of this plays out anyway as I was walking through the nether portal I know it's look at this my support has risen quite massively from 0 up to what we got now for how have I managed to get that much support me one of them's me one of them is probably green but that means there's two others on are unaccounted for I'm ah I appreciate it the mayoral race is going incredibly well we've got working rum bot that is giving us advice we have support from them it's clearly I've got my face back I'm looking handsome again I mean I genuinely think we could be onto a winner here anyway I hope you
