Hermitcraft 6: Episode 50 - BIG BUILDS and GIFTS!

ladies and gentlemen I've joined the hermit craft server and I have been greeted with this I mean look at this just instantly before I'd even logged in he's taking the mick so I'm I'm going over where is he then his base is back pretty I haven't had she been over here since he's built this thing and it is it's absolutely gorgeous it really really is pretty but that doesn't mean that I'm not at I can't believe this look at this look at that I mean like he comes in he starts fights with me and then he leaves as soon as I come over to his base I think that means that I'm the bigger man anyway hello everyone welcome back to another episode on a hermit craft server is episode 50 which is a big deal especially considering on the previous episode of hermit craft when I uploaded it I still wrote I'm at craft 5 how is it with 50 episodes in 10 hermit crab season 6 how am I still writing five in my titles it's totally ridiculous but I also have to say on the notes of that episode it actually it got onto YouTube gaming trending YouTube gaming trending is a new thing and we hit it we managed to get to I think the highest number it got to was like number 8 which is pretty cool so that's the first time ever for me which is fantastic but so we're going to continue that hermit craft goodness today and we're going to keep working on this area over here so we've got a bunch of different jobs that we're going to be working on but the first thing we need to do is we actually need to build up this area in here our secret laboratory where we're going to be crafting up rockets and this is how it currently looks not exactly an award-winner now I'm in two minds here because originally I was going to make it all white and concrete in quartz II and things like that but actually because this is a secret laboratory I think that maybe we shouldn't do that instead I thought we'd do is go from more cyan concrete vibe so it's going to be quite dark and quite dingy in there but it should end up looking quite pretty and also how much terracotta we've got with that being said I would like to use a little bit of white concrete in and around the build so here I am again getting my waist wet alright so this is the design that I'm currently working with and you know what it kind of reminds me of old school mumbo jumbo built remember in the days when I used to always use stone bricks I'd actually forgot it kind of turned into stone slabs for a little while but it used to be that every single one of my builds would just be stirring and yeah we're kind of harken back to that there so I'm just in the process of doing this stone slab wrap around the edge here and then I thought all of this could be the cyan terracotta so that's all going to loop around like that then in the center here we kind of have this setup and you know what this wasn't originally the plan but I actually quite like if we had water going through the middle here that would actually be pretty cool having all of that gunpowder just flying in like that because it's quite satisfied to watch all of the terracotta is in place and I'm just trying to work out maybe some kind of detail to add to this thing and I thought maybe adding in a few of these just kind of dotted around could improve things a little bit I mean I actually quite liked it looking Moody but obviously we can't have anything spawning that would be an issue so yeah we're gonna have to try and come up with a solution here and I would say I'd say that looks pretty good actually now the next thing that we have to do is all of the item elevators and everything like that which is going to be transporting our items up into the storage system and then rotating them around so yeah what we're doing is I've stunk with the items flying through the middle of the build because I think that's really cool and then I've constructed an item elevator here so the items actually flows through this water stream they end up in this water that's eventually going to be turned into an item elevator and then they'll go around like this and then over the top of all the hoppers that should be really simple so let's just quickly give this thing a tester so if I throw those items in there that drops down there and then we should see it will appear in this chest probably should have put soul sound in the item elevator that would have been that would have been wise because it's tiny bit slow and by a tiny bit I mean really slow I feel like it definitely should have oh there we go okay very very slow so we threw in 2022 okay so half of them goes to the top well I mean that's that's good enough for me so now that that build is actually done we are going to be puffing back to it in a little bit I thought I'd quickly pop over to my post box and yeah it's full of full of junk mail once again and I'm actually going to fill everyone else's post boxes with more with more junk mail um I'm going to put in this which is mumbos pop-up rocket so I'm going to tell them about my store and then what I'm going to do is I'm going to update the current location of where it is in people's post boxes so people who want to know where the rocket shop is then check out your post books and that will tell you but obviously I'm not going to be putting any messages in good tons of scar I'm definitely not going to be putting any in Cub fans either and where is tango because yeah I need to stay away from that one too this little beach front of house is super cool beachfront visitor and info center so you got the turtle island sanctuary this is super sweet and then there is turtle this is really really nice and then what's down here so I think this is wow wow I'm not on the map but I'm a bit I'm a bit insulted by that oh I'm not deemed I'm not deemed good enough for the map but still this is amazing and of course I'm joking yeah I I'm the one that built my base slightly off that's so cool though I am tempted to extend the map of course I'm not going to extend the map it's cool to see that map again though because I found it once and then completely forgot anyway back over at this build I need to create some full of entrance into this thing because Trident inge in and out of this area is fun and I'm getting quite good at it but it's not exactly ideal so we're going to create a secret entrance first up I guess flush piston doors that I need some form of hidden or secret activation device type thing so all the Redstone is in place for this kind of piston door set up Oh what do I do for a activation device though are we come on how many red stick I mean how many activation devices have I done in my time but then again I haven't really done many underwater so that does make life more tricky I thought I built it and I haven't let's try again so we jump up we hit the bar turn and that opens everything and then everything closes out behind us now if we throw an item onto that slab right there that will open up our system and we really have to run through that okay I might have to change up the timings a tiny bit now I really want to give a gift to both Korean and s Cal for giving me a trident because that is that's such a lovely thing to do I mean I know they locked me in an obsidian box I had to punch my way out off you know it'd take quite some time but seriously that like that is such a lovely thing to do so I'm going to try my best to repay them now I need a few levels and gunpowder and some sugarcane so let's gather up all of that Wow oh that is spectacular that is so well done Graham we need to up our game dude this is ridiculous if you use a pickaxe on these I will know there we go so inside each one of these sugar boxes we have got a bunch of fireworks rocky it's like well thanks to my Trident and for breaking my face and I've also put some blood stones inside the Shocker boxes now this one is obviously in iskills base and this one is in Green's base obsidian there and obsidian there I wouldn't want to make life too easy I have just realized they could just break the shocker boxes and they would never have to break the assyrian so but I guess the joke's on gran because he's done some work on his portal decoration don't get me wrong it looks nice until you realize that it looks like someone holding the architect logo I can't take that seriously anymore regardless it was a good deed for good people anyway next thing I want to do is we're actually going to popping over into the nether and doesn't this place look ridiculous when we have all the beacons on I love the way it looks the beacon beams coming up the sides of it and the reason that I've gone through into the nether is because well the new nether hub is being worked on by some of the hermit's and the plans are completely ridiculous my totally totally stupid okay they're insane we've we've been receiving lists or resources required and it's just what on earth it's absolutely it's just it's just mad so it's kind of like a community-wide project and the first thing that needs to happen is the space actually needs to be mined out so you see the tab screen right here I'm cranny on 0 but as I'm lying out netherrack I get my score up a little bit I thought I would also pop through into the nether hub resources area this in the shopping district just to check out what's they need to build this project and I think there's somewhere that I could help so they need this many stacks of green concrete powder which I'll definitely be able to do because obviously my cactus farm is doing well I've got a super smelter and I've got plenty of sand and gravel and then where is green concrete as well because yeah they need lots of that oh yes of course it is directly after taking concrete powder so yeah we need all of this as well yeah I'll try my best to help there but first I think we should pop back through into the nether and as you do a bit of mining one hour so in this time-lapse chat I want to talk to you about the fact that tomorrow is my birthday I am going to be 23 years old which is definitely feeling like an adult well okay so this okay it sounds like I should be feeling like an adult okay but I don't I really don't feel like an adult in the slightest I always used to think think about this quite often when I went to secondary school so secondary school you get to when you're 11 and you leave when I think yes sixteen and I remember when I got into secondary school I felt like a a Corona I feel like an adult I'm here and then the people who were in year 11 or 16 year olds I looked at house I own my what my these are these are proper adults proper grownups they know what's going on I just think as I've grown older you know the people who are older than you I always sing some them said to myself you know they've probably got their stuff together I look at people who are like 28 29 going into the 30s and I look at them and go oh yeah they're they're adults they know what they're doing and then you hear from them they say actually I have no clue what's going on like I feel like there is not a single point in your life where you actually feel like an adult and I think I've come to realize that because I mean it doesn't help that I still I still make it's not like I've got like a particularly serious job I make gaming videos for a living so I'm not doing adult stuff like spreadsheets and and other bits and pieces like that but still it's it's weird is so strange getting older I mean I started this YouTube channel when I was 16 years old now 23 it also makes me think you know when when do I stop doing his YouTube channel do I retire at 70 like when when does it all finish anyway there's enough of that let's get back on to the hammock rafts over this is really embarrassing I I'm trying to repair you may notice - missing a throme assault a perm assault into something and I don't know where it's gone I mean where where is it nice I worry about myself so much sometimes anyway back over by the nether zone here you can see that this place has been relieved of a lot of netherrack I think I spent probably about one and a half hours mining in total we've got 20,000 blocks mind completely which isn't bad going I've seen a few people logging in are know that fall symmetry has 50,000 blocks mind which is completely bonkers so I have to put in some more time over the next couple days - but yeah this this chunk here has all been fully taken out so hopefully hopefully that helps the team right let's let's gather up a little bit of green concrete as well let's do that but before we do I actually want to do a little wave work just a tiny bit work on our storage system down here because I think there are some items that are actually skipping past the chests that they're meant to go into and they're going into the lava and that's bad news so we're going to build up a way to fix this I need packed ice I need a little bit of glass and I need some pressure plates none of which you're gonna be in those chests why am I even looking there no I'm curious does this actually work so there's there's a pressure plate that I think is whizzing around the entire system and that seems to do that okay that's all good and then if we wait for an item to come up through here I mean I'm not seeing anything at this point in time but I'm fairly certain I saw some slime balls coming up through and they seemed to make the turn just fine so that's actually a good sign yeah this system seems to work that's very surprising I have to say I had thought I was gonna have to completely redo that entire thing but no I literally took out the lava and just kind of mix the match some water in it seems the function right okay next thing that I want to do is I'm gonna pop into the shopping district and just see if there's any way that I can buy item frames I really don't think there is which is bonkers to me like leather and things like that such a simple thing to sell but unless I'm forgetting which I could I could very well be I don't seem to remember there being any form of leather shops or anything like that it looks like I'm gonna be killing cows then apparently well I suppose you know that's playing the game as its intended to be played can't get used to shopping too much after game myself seriously lost and having to look through old screenshots of my f3 screen while I'm at my base to actually relocate it I have managed to find my way back home and item frames are crazy expensive for what they are I still can't believe it anyway I thought I'd quickly actually run around my proper sorting system and fill in all of the item frames that need filling in here because there's a handful that are missing that I think it's gonna be really helpful actually odd this this one's fine yeah there's none that are really needed here at least none that I can really see but it was the other way that was a little bit more tricky so now we shouldn't be spending time hunting around for items up in that storage system and also I've got all of the item frames in place on this level here and so far we actually only have two different types of items on the inside of this thing it is literally just slime balls and sugar cane but I can't really show you because I haven't got a smart way to get around this thing just yet and I don't really know what to do design wise in fact you know I'll ask you what should I do design wise for creating some form of walk quite the aquarium I think is out of the question just because I like this place being bright I think I think it being bright is kind of how I want I don't want it to look really dark and dingy underneath the floating disk up here so we need to think of some way to create a walkway now we could do this really simply just have another circle coming out like this or we could do something a little bit more dramatic and I'm gonna leave that up to you I mean you can put your suggestions down in the comment section I love reading through them so I have to take some inspiration from there now the next thing that I want to do is a little bit of a weird one right because earlier on I spent a little bit of time observing Graham you know we we built we built that little obsidian thing in his base and I was trying to make sure that he didn't touch it with a pickaxe now from what I could tell from that footage he kind of ran around a little bit I don't know if he quite noticed it so you know if he logs on later I want to make sure that I I capture this I'm going to employ my very best surveillance tactics once again of course it would be very easy for me to bring my spectator account in here but that would be far less interesting so I am going to myself in here hopefully he doesn't realize and I've got a nice nice view of his area here now I'm gonna actually have to get myself a wait I'm gonna have to put it on my shift key because I don't want him to see my name but that should be good enough oh my word I haven't even put the weights on my keyboard yet oh my god I just call him I call him in the act I've unintentionally caught chicken ban it confirmed it is green and buy chicken man of course I mean poultry man yeah I kind of forgot his name anyway I'm gonna keep my keep hanging out here because I wonder if he comes back to a little obsidian plinth oh okay that was scary ah okay I think we got away with that I think we got away with that okay I just he came flying in this direction you know as she noticed this but I jumped out and hit over there I think I think I'm safe I don't think he spotted me and he seems to be reading he's reading it what's he doing what is he doing I can't believe this I cannot believe this oh you sneaky devil does that come after the sort of failure of trying to capture Green in the act I then decided to go over to is scale-space and get myself set up in the ceiling now I have to say I mean I thought I was onto a winner here I surrounded all of the choker boxes in obsidian that was all good I found the perfect hiding place up in the top of his base surrounded by ice I mean he never would have found me okay never would have spotted me I have Kate there all night 16 hours in total with some coins and weights on my shift key so that he wouldn't be able to smoke me and he never arrived never arrived so a bit of a disappointment we haven't been able to catch this gal in the act but when he next comes on I know exactly where I'm going to be hiding anyway I hope that you Mumbo said that he won't fill bowl with water and I remembered how he once had an idea to make a game there like in S4 (people fly inside sphere and shoot each other with fire arrows) but in water. Seems it won't happen
