I loved Stolasβs song! I teared up a bit in just pure joy at this whole episode. Itβs beautiful beyond comprehension. Robo Fizz is my new favorite character ahaha
Now I get why they said that Stolas would probably win a fight vs Alastor, the dude could portal him to a supernova with no effort.
A robot jester is one thing.
A robot jester that can do a bloody Spin Dash is a big problem.
Line that hits particularly hard on rewatch:
"No matter what happens to me, I will never be far away from my special little starfire."
Holds up because even as his relationship with his wife crumbles around him, and his only other on-screen relationship (Blitzo) is clearly one-sided, he'll always care about, support, and be there for his daughter, even if he doesn't know how to at first.
EDIT: Further analysis of this relationship, I love the subtle detail that Stolas says "I take it you're not having any fun" at the end rather than something accusatory like "Aren't you having fun" or "Why aren't you having fun". I don't know, I just like that even if he is a bit spacey/detatched, he can tell she's not enjoying herself and is mature enough to speak honestly with her about it.
For a show set in Hell, that was strangely wholesome! I absolutely loved Octavia's voice actress. She really nailed that deadpan teenage energy. I also love Stolas' character here. Even in that first song, it's immediately clear that he's not in a happy relationship with his wife. "I used to think love would be fun?" Ouch. He's also super funny, though; that line about people wanting their money AND their bodies had be rolling. All in all, I absolutely loved this episode.
Stolas and Octaviaβs heart to heart made me cry for some reason... The animation in this episode is absolutely stunning, especially the intro scene!!!
Loved the space song.
Does anyone else feel like Millie's accent somehow got stronger this episode though?
For some reason the casual attempts at kidnapping Stolas had me dying.
