Harbor Freight $50 Survival Challenge - Day 1 picking items

it's the $50 Harbor rate survival challenge we're gonna go out into the woods using nothing but items from this store and we're gonna see if we can survive for three days with the $50 spending limit but we're not doing it alone we got John from Florida fishermen 2016 YouTube channel on the survival trip with us all three of us both in three days and we're gonna leave that link for his YouTube [Music] alright I'm up first to this $50 Harbor Freight challenge kind of nervous kind of scared I don't know what the heck they got right now $50 is a vibe for three days let's get in there and get it going [Music] when they got [Music] they might not realize this but it's got a hook for fish so they might be Sol all right first thing else firestarter that coupon for it makes it pretty long as I buy something anything good thank you [Music] hmm my friend my friend [Music] no splitting limit for them they ain't getting it [Music] all right I will get me a sharpening stone I just felt that egg [Music] I don't think it would cut paper right now so it needs touched up that's something out [Music] 17-point lead forty-two [Music] I'm gonna do it [Music] you know it's funny only one on the shelf think I'm alright I got my shelter got my blanket got my survival knife [Music] I'm going to check out house say buddy yeah what they got what you got I spent $50 and $0.54 what you cheater honey how did you $50 somebody's cooking he owes us a meal we did every coupon in the world the man went bent over backwards putting all the coupons on one transaction 54 cents I'm okay with that I will find this man some mosquitoes and some muscles yeah there we go all right take it easy all right here we go I'm gonna see if I can get a better deal than John got he went $0.54 over budget I'm not gonna go [Applause] [Music] [Applause] first thing a while is a tarp which is gonna be free because it wanted to keep on but I got five box stuff blanket bring them and blankets are down [Music] all right I got a check I check my phone real quick and see which coupon I got for the blanket 89 forty bucks over food so the next one they they sell pans here but they're pretty expensive there's an alternative and I'm gonna show you guys what that alternative is [Music] mud pan this is gonna be my pan for boil in my water and it's $6.99 but with a coupon oh I didn't get a key poem that's that's actually $6.99 I gotta fix a client on rescue the things [Music] that is gonna make me some looks a little bit of Bella mark $0.99 it's gone it's gone now [Music] there's this but I think that's gonna make me go over-budget okay okay good city sharpening stone okay structure on 449 for all right I gotta make a compromise so this this is my idea if I had if I had to compromise while I was doing this I was gonna get the string if I definitely got to have this [Music] this spool of baling wire gotta go this was gonna be my hooks but now I'm just gonna have to hope that I can find some hooks my survival knife does come with a hook so alright now I gotta get find the machete [Music] this is the route I'm gonna get it on sale with a coupon for dollar 19 alright let's go check out alright I got good news and I got bad news no I had to switch one of my items for another thing because they're out of it and 7/7 I had to go $0.07 over if there was no other way to do it once you had no sweating I'm curious just rating right I had to switch the string there was no string one so I got all the items I need Ricky's turn alright seemed like everybody's over budget I'm a little bit nervous let's see if I can stay under budget be the first one to stay on their budget let's see what's up let's go I mean who wouldn't get this I'd be surprised by the other two they get this oh yeah okay she thinks that I'm trying to do right now it's not trying to start a fire make a shelter make sure I have water a way to store the water and a way to gather food those are the key points that I'm thinking of where I'm trying to purchase this stuff for the survival trip [Music] lucky for me I got a coupon for this to save the dollar all right I'm went with the Lebanese hi stripes tire straps or cable ties whatever you want to call them zip ties but this is why I'm getting them look at them it says that each one can hold about weight it's not saying here but when I saw it online I'm not gonna lie it went online it says each one of these straps to hold about 50 pounds worth of weight this will make a lot of my tying really quick and easy it's when I'm trying to go to my shelter so that way I'm not wasting time wrapping and wrapping and wrapping and wrapping I don't want to waste that much time I just want to get it and get it done that'll work oh wow look at this big one I didn't even see this one this is $0.99 how much weight this before [Music] this is a hundred and eighty pounds of tensile strength verses verses 49 pounds [Music] I'm sticking oh my god so it takes about three of these the strength of that three to ride around warmth I still get more more tensile strength more from my money because I got to keep up with it put together I want to get 20 of these Oh Dan that thousand tough toys right there all right let's keep going too far this year okay 325 200 feet for dominance anyway I can probably get it probably cheaper to get two of these but I think I'm just gonna go with one [Music] whoa damn pop right all right oh snap wait wait wait wait wait yo yo check this out check this out it's like this and look you got another one check that out so I don't use as much power game changer right here no don't tell me [Music] yes look a multi-purpose light with batteries already so I don't have to buy batteries whoa this is a no-brainer all right I think that's done i'ma go ahead double-check well what I got okay yeah I got my way it's a hunch I got my ways to start a fire I got my ways to build a shelter for comfort to hydrate I think I'm gonna go I think I'm pretty good I'm good to go let's go check out [Music] there it is my last father I'm done under budget they're all over but they gotta connect only dinner they owe me dinner of their villages a bucket bucket bucket well I mean this is storage and if I can carry everything around by Michael we look at each other's stuff now yeah okay here we go get my truck well you got romantically um well you saw it all in the video everything on the video so but basically my my my purposes was a way to start a fire the way to gather on water purify water of the kind of food and to build a shelter those are just my main concerns so and also to mind my booty that's a pillow too at the same time oh you cheater go have a great time either you guys let's watch out in the woods and you'll be sleeping us country folks know how to do it out in the woods any boys got to have cold face okay I got some leaves there's some leaves out there fungus I'm gonna get poison ivy I'm alright I'm on the way now here we go we got
