$100 Walmart Survival Challenge!!! (10 Items or LESS)

you ready you ready you ready what is up in meffert's welcome back to another exciting episode totally mixing it up today we're doing something very very different I'm with my main man the dab master over here and we're doing a little bit of a survival camping challenge today so just a little quick backstory the origins I've camped my entire life I love camping I think it's super important to get kids in the outdoors doing really fun things like I did when I when I grew up cuz those are some of the best memories in my life so me and max do quite a bit of camping but those videos don't necessarily make it onto the youtubes that much but today it's gonna make it on there because we're doing something totally freaking different and a little bit we're embarking on a 24 hour journey and on this journey we are gonna go to Walmart first off we're gonna spend no more than $100 on everything that we need to go out and do some camping kind of roughing it to be honest out in the sticks now hundred dollars might seem like a lot for one day but we're only gonna limit ourselves to ten items we can only purchase and bring ten different items with us to the lake ten items might sound a little hot as well but I was kind of doing the math a little bit we might not have a place to sleep I don't think we're gonna take any food we have to catch all of our food so it's gonna be a little hairy what do you think you excited I think we're able to do it you all hydrated because we're not gonna eat or drink anything he's got the first steps down we're definitely gonna need some water but it should be a good time also stick around a little bit later I have a brand new product from one of the companies that I work with that I'm going to give away to a lucky in my from but I need some feedback from you guys so stick around to a little bit later in the video actually since this video gets put up into multiple segments I'm not going to be giving away any of my sponsors products but if you like comment and subscribe I will send you the most expensive item that we go buy at Walmart so check back one week from today on this fair description to see if you want and I could promise you it's something that you guys are probably use alright continue first step though we got to go out to the Walmart's we're gonna have everything that we need at Walmart we're not coming back to get anything else other than one thing we're taking our furry little golden retrievers so on top of trying to find all the food that we need we're have to do with that too but yeah let's get to Alma okay first stop we are back in the outdoor section as you can tell it obviously we get we got some decisions to make ten items might seem like a lot but it's actually got really cold the last few days the low tonight is gonna be 40 so it's gonna be chilly and we need to stay warm and we also need something to cut up hook up our fish obvious like a fillet knife or something or we need to make a decision if we want to go ahead and get something like a hatchet or a saw or something like that to cut up some wood to make a shelter and so we're gonna have to make that decision first off Mike what do you think what the hell there's a shark in here max we think is more important to have a knife for flying fish or a hatchet for shelter because we're got to pick one of the two if we don't do shelter we're gonna buy a tent but if we get the hatchet we're not gonna have anything to fillet the fish with what do you think mister shark fillet knife not the hatchet we made the executive decision by shark max that we are going to get a shelter so let's let's take a look at what there is for tents I don't think with 10 items we're gonna be able to get a hatchet to cut up wood or whatever for for our shelter we're definitely need something to fill a fish because we're not taking it like any food pretty much so let's get out of number one that's going to be probably the cheapest tent they have all right so since we want to stay ten items and under $100 this one seems to be really cheap right here three-person dome tent 2494 boom first item max throw it in the car okay next item since it's gonna be four degrees I'm gonna layer on the clothes for sure max is gonna do the same thing but we were absolutely going to need a sleeping bag for him at least so let's start with this one we got the youth camp sleep Oh max do you have one I'm gonna check you don't need a sharp you already got a kid sleeping bag mr. shark wants the shark sleeping bag of course we're gonna go let's do this one though bud this one I think will be good for you five four shoot you're probably five four almost already but it's 14 dollars and 24 cents so next thing we're definitely going to need is something to start a fire with if we're gonna cook boil water etc and we're gonna have to have a fire starter mechanism this looks like the only thing there is - and it's $12 and 34 cents it fits in our budget right now but I don't know if it's going to eventually and that's a lighter - but it's $8 82 cents I think we might totally wimp out max and just go get a regular $1 lighter what do you think perfect good talk hear that max 88 cents all right so we got a $25 tent $15 sleeping bag one dollar lighter so that's what 41 dollars or so so we're doing pretty good we have three items and yeah still no water no knife no anything else this is something we're also for sure going to need light I got a light max I think we would be better with like a lantern style light then we're like a I don't know we could do a headlamp - either one would work let's see if they got the cheap that lanterns only 797 hmm so the cheap lanterns the seven dollar lanterns nine dollar Lantern don't come with any batteries second with batteries yeah that's a negative batteries are good definitely an account towards their 10 items and that's not something I want to be doing come up this guy right here seven dollar LED headlamp comes with batteries good yeah all right next up we definitely need to get a filleting mechanism if we're not gonna have a hatchet or whatever here are the knives these look decent actually 546 287 Kapow this will probably work once ever but for three dollars we're up to five items we spent about $50 so five items $50 we're pretty much on pace to get what we need next step since we are not taking any food with us we're gonna absolutely have to catch something so we're over here at the fishing section and we're gonna need a kit - I'm gonna count it as one so if it comes in a package here even though it's separate pieces and separate tackle it counts as one so we need we're definitely need a kit we're not gonna just get a rob a reel and lures or whatever we're out to get just one of these guys I think we should probably go with like I don't know Old Faithful you can't you've never even use a spinning rod before how about this one this is like the one you have right now it's a Zebco - OH - that's like a typical it real and 1374 the price is right I think that's a good one so this has some hooks a couple little grubby things some barbers terminal tackle comes with ten pound wine that might be able to sketchy but let's get this guy for $14 so that's item number six and that brings our total up to I think like sixty four dollars so we're definitely doing okay I think we need some seasoning I mean some seasoning for our fish we're gonna need some seasonings I guess it might be important that you take some water yeah look at these little camping spice kit we got salt peppers garlic salt cayenne curry paprika another salt I think that's good that definitely needs to go on our thing alright so five dollars for that guy what are we up to seventy dollars titanium knife woo alright so we got three items left to go I guess at this point we're starting to think like do I want a sleeping bag or some fish batter to cook our fish in we're definitely need oil to that's something else so oil makes eight fish batter makes nine and water makes ten so do we want to eat well or do you want dad to stay warm you're probably more concerning well it's sad that you have to think about that max card so I've made it over to the grocery portion of the challenge we're definitely the most important thing for any survival situation and that is water we're definitely not going to be drinking any lake water I didn't pick up a a life straw sponsorship or anything if you guys were wondering so we're not gonna be using that and those to me count as I don't know forty one forty different items thirty two different items so we're gonna go with one of these guys the the old simple purified drinking water for 94 cents I think we're gonna go to our cooking apparatus stuff and apparently made the executive decision that dad doesn't need to be warm and we need good finish so it's we're going there so many decisions when I think max Hooters Hooters winged breading your mini Hooters you have Hooters your favorite place no Hooters used to be good you ain't never been to a damn Hooters you know what max we got extra money in our budgets so two dollars and 44 cents we're gonna splurge and get some wing bread all right we need oil max look at this look at this difference right here dollar ninety four for 16 ounces or dollar eighty eight forty eight ounces it's sixteen or forty eight more which one's a bigger number it's not a trick question okay let's go with that one it's even cheaper bro we're in we're done ten items we're gonna check out now alright so we're back in the camping section we've freakin screwed up we totally spaced one item that we need in our ten items and that is a pan we have to have a frying pan obviously we're not gonna fry up any fish or cook anything else that we catch or kill out there anything throwing up a pan to do it in we could do it over like a fire grade or something but I don't think we're to have a fire great so I think the item we're gonna get rid of since we have the the batter already I think we can get rid of this guy right here the spice thing right so we'll put the spices back they'll just taste like garbage I don't think we need cast iron this guy seems safe and it holds up I kind of wanted a collapsible one for camping anyways boom $6.00 $0.83 frying pan the last item [Music] [Music] okay guys Walmart went pretty well only ended up spending about $80 so pretty stoked about that no we're obviously not totally roughing it it's not like a total survival situation you wouldn't have a 10-2 or whatever in some some of these items we got if you were stranded or whatever in the wild but hopefully you can see how tough it was to get only ten items and kind of make that all work apparently I don't get a sleeping bag or any way to stay warm so we're back home now real quick we're gonna we're gonna pack up our clothes we're gonna grab little Goldilocks head out to the lake you ready for this I'd have a sweatshirt thanks man we just got to the lake the park where we are staying first step is going to be finding somewhere to set up the tent go fish so you can catch something because without that we don't got any pickle found a worm oh my god I'm pretty cut this guy out from James company it look like a big bass we can't have the kind of interesting encounter with the local game warden sleeping close to sleeping and I heard actually max has a drag just ripping fish oh I got my lines it's broke [Music] [Music] [Music]
