you you you hello everyone I'm father Reid great to be with you to have a chance to pray together the Glorious Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary we're in Ireland today you can probably tell it's a little misty and a little rainy we're on a very special island in Ireland in County Donegal Loch turn this is the place where st. Patrick himself legend has it came and prayed and in a cave he saw a vision of purgatory for over a thousand years this island has been a place of pilgrimage for people they come they fast they pray they bring their troubles and their struggles and they ask for healing and wholeness and so we pray together the rosary in this very sacred place the Glorious Mysteries we meditate upon in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit on them I believe in God the Father Almighty maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit born of the Virgin Mary suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified died and was buried he descended into hell on the third day he rose again he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father from there he shall come to judge the living in the dead I believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic Church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sin the resurrection of the body now and ever shall be world without end amen the first glorious mystery the resurrection of Jesus from the dead on that first Easter morning in the early hours Jesus was raised to new life after his suffering and his death on the cross and three days in the tomb he made that cave that tomb the most sacred place in this world as we stand here on Lough dark this island made sacred by Saint Patrick's vision of purgatory and the many pilgrims who have come here for generations our minds go in this moment to that place in Jerusalem that physical place where Jesus came back to life where he rose from the dead and completed his saving work among us as we meditate on this mystery we reflect upon that sacred place where Jesus gave us the gift of new life and so we pray our Father who art in Jesus went with his closest friends atop a high mountain and there he was taken up from their sight not to abandon them but to be their hope and that mountain was and is today a sacred place like this island unlocked or for here countless generations of men and women young and old have come often barefoot fasting bringing all of their struggles and their sins seeking hope from the same Jesus who speak in many languages and to boldly profess the message of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God that Upper Room where the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and Mary where the church was born is a sacred place like here where so many pilgrims seek the Grace and the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that they can return to their daily lives enlivened and enriched by those same gifts given to the very lives through her intercession so - as we pray these Glorious Mysteries we give our lie over to her our queen and our mother that she might pray for us now and at the hour of our death our Father
