welcome everybody to the bros of dk it's a beautiful sunny day here in france and we are on our way to explore another incredible castle that's called the hindu castle because it has hinduistic influence inside of it and it should be very beautiful so uh yeah we are making here you can see already we see a chapel coming here in the distance and this is how we enter the place it's just open over here so let's go in [Music] okay we're now on the property as you can see this is the chapel that i was talking about let's go in there i'm currently just filming with the gopro so the quality is not as good as my main camera i'm going to show you the inside of this chapel first before we go to the ship to the castle itself look at this beautiful piece incredible designs over here you know when people are rich when they have their own chapel you don't see it that much but uh in really rich castles and and uh mansions you can sometimes see chapels attached to it or inside of the places and this one is no exception beautiful glass tinted glass windows to the side here the altar in itself all still untouched yeah it's decayed by nature but no graffiti or anything okay that was the chapel on the property so now it's time to head through the woods to the chateau itself and see the castle chateau's castle in french so for the people that don't know now you know they had an enormous property over here beautiful forest forests on that property where we were walking out through in the distance over there we can see the chateau popping up there it is there's the castle itself wow you can already see a statue here in the backyard of it and a whale over there let's take a look at that it's a french knight a statue of a french knight here in the backyard wow it's amazing we have selena with us check her out link will be in the description and let's have a look at the well but i used to get water from back in the day there's still water inside here look at that i thought it was a small castle but this place actually is quite enormous i didn't really expect such a huge castle would be on this property because i got this this place for a long time on the map now and i haven't got to hear yet but now i'm standing in front of it and i'm truly amazed by its mesmerizing size wow look at this there's even some cars here in the backyard from the former people wow and over here we're going to enter into the castle [Music] welcome back to another documentary by the bros of dk [Music] this week we will take you back to the country of france deep in its countryside we found a castle that used to belong to mr bambuca a frenchman who had lived in this place all his life mr mabuka was what you would call a crazy artist he would never leave his castle even his wife left him because he was too occupied with making art the only person in his life that he had left was his child who also lived in the castle throughout his life he traveled a lot to india to get inspiration for his art and then travel back to france to spend all his time making art in the castle unfortunately this art didn't sell well and he hung it up all throughout his place for himself to enjoy but luckily for him his parents left him a big heritage and he could live of it for the remainder of his life [Music] today we will ponder throughout the castle of mr bambuca and we will behold his life's work let's go on this epic adventure [Music] let me sit down because i want to tell you something this week's video i'm happy to announce is sponsored again by skillshare figure out the history in combination with what other people have figured out a lot of people have found then i attached the dots and that's what you heard in the intro of this video so we're going to take a look at the life of mr bambooka and see how he lived here and his artworks that he left behind i'm really excited to see that and yeah let's start off this video let's make an epic adventure [Music] when you explore abandoned places it's always very important to protect yourself when a place like this is abandoned for around 15 years right now you should wear gloves because the surfaces can be really dusty and dirty and when it's moldy inside but this place is not moldy but when it's moldy inside you should also wear them out mask that's also very important so this is really open the building can breed and there's no mold in here so yeah i just wear the gloves so this place has been left behind for 15 years as i just said and i'm really excited to see the time capsule that's been left behind there is some vandalism in this place but we're gonna just look over it and see the beautiful parts and tell the incredible story of mr bambooka let's go this was the living room of mr bambooka as you can see we can immediately see what he did in life and the very strange artworks that he made and i can't really tell why these things didn't sell let's see what we have wow this looks like a very abstract modern painting and i don't think this is something that lots of french people especially people that live in these towns would appreciate inside of the houses so that's why he yeah that's why he never made a living off it and that's pretty sad for him but that's how economy works you can see this was he had a little bench in here a table to play some games together with some friends there's still some play guards on there wow hot water put hot water in it and you could uh warm your feet at night in bed and like i told you before some people have been in here they've analyzed the place a little bit but there are still some very beautiful parts left behind a children's ukulele and then we have the other side of the living room with another abstract painting up here maybe him himself even his initials are still on here hopefully you can read it but it says bambooka wow what is this device it looks like some sort of a turning table the calf wood or something like that but put a piece of water in here and you could scarf it i think pretty incredible ah this might have been yeah this might have been his daughter you can see a picture of her here she looks beautiful i wonder what happened to her and why she didn't come back here to claim the castle for hers that's always the question i ask myself when these people have children why don't the children come back and reclaim these places i have a big picture here from a group of men i don't know what i did but it's a german german description underneath there and it's from 1937. a little desk for him where he stored some notes from things that he had to do some phone numbers then the fireplace itself with the last ashes i think this is already an indian artwork it looks a little bit like an indian artwork but i'm not 100 sure of his that he loved indian art we're going to see it in the attic i believe it's on the attic i've not been through this house but i've seen some pictures of it these were his parents these were the former owners of this castle he got it from them he was their only child as i am not 100 sure about this but this is what the history says and this is what the people found out the piano in the living room does this still play oh this is really out of tune beautiful i think this was the kitchen might have been yeah this was the kitchen and what i immediately recognize in this kitchen is this love for color and his love because we already saw it on the pictures on the paintings he loved to use different bright colors and he also represented that in his house see the orange and the blue and the yellow coming back wow on the windowsill as well beautiful colors in this place two building cabinets completely filled with dishes another kind of cleaning supplies and yeah everything you need to clean the house oh wow this is to make whipped cream put a gas canister in there and then you can make whipped cream i think old school bottle look at this door this looks like a clown's door or something like that lovely pots and pans and all the utilities you need for a kitchen and then we have this cooking area over here with this huge exhauster above it he even painted the roof purple wow this was i would have loved to meet this man and talk to him about his artworks for hours on hand he must have been a very interesting man even though he didn't make a living of it he loved to do what he yeah he did what he loved to do in life and that's what i'm doing right now thanks to you guys watching it and supporting the channel i'm really grateful for that a little storage area underneath the staircase over here and then on this side we have the dining area let's see what's in here big table in the middle he was also a big music lover i think i saw already a few radios in here and yeah this used to be a table for a sewing machine but there's no swimming machine anymore let's have a look big music player look at this cabinet how it's designed lots of color on there he he just had an enormous imagination and he used it to decorate his house into every little detail you can i can imagine wow mr pompoka has watch olympia beautiful piece some drawers not really that interesting but here we got some more artworks and it says it looks like a clock face in here it says o6 again his name going back down there they were all made made by him very interesting we already saw the painting of the men together and here is a pot this is a german beer pot and they use it at the beer fests in germany but i think this man might have had some german influence as well maybe some german friends or some or he was might have been german or his parents but that part of the story i don't know yet we also see some english books coming back that's very unusual for french homes that you see english books and these are all names in here so i'm not sure what is this direction directory of national war college graduates so it's interesting over here next to the dining area we got the big entrance all of the place and i don't know if you can see it but it has tinted glass windows in there wow this door probably doesn't open anymore oh yes it does it's just open you can see him through the front yard over here enormously beautiful entrance hall i'm gonna go into the backyard in the garden later on because there are also some cars left behind in this place but first let's close this back up and let's go further inside of this place this is where we hung up his hats when he came into the house we've got some more things over here some old school irons you would put this on a fireplace and then you would heat it up and then you would use it to iron the clothes they usually had two because when there was one in use you could heat up another one and so you could keep ironing it was not only paintings that mr that this mister made but he also left other types of artworks and we can see this beautiful abstract i don't know what it is looks like a toilet or something like that he made ottawa he made all different kinds of artworks just whatever he could imagine he would make look at this stairway that i'm standing in front of now this leads to the top floor and that's where i'm going to take you but first let's have a look at this entrance hall there's an enormous bookcase here let's have a look at it see we can more see more indian artworks coming back in this place a paris an eiffel tower thermometer thermometer here wow tennis rackets you might have also been into sports or badminton records i'm not i think there are badminton records excuse me clothes of his all stuffed into this closet wow on this side more of those rackets here hey beauty let me go up you sorry let's go with this oh wow look at the sound it makes this feels like a real castle stairway going up here coming up to the top floor wow i hope you can hear it well but it's squeaking all the way under my feet and then we come into a little entrance hall on the top floor wow what a beautiful piece there's lots of junk drawn around this place as you can see here all the clothes have been thrown around but that's the only thing i'm going to show you of the vandalism or after yeah but i just want to show you in this room as well this man was very sportive we saw the rackets downstairs we see a buy an exercise bike here another exercising device a very sportive man but then we come into his bedroom let me show you the bedroom and let's go through this in this bedroom there are also really quirky things that i have to show you first off we have this dividing screen over here beautiful upholstery dividing screen it's been broken over time but as you can see has nice upholstery on it and there's like this little yeah blouse in here with some extraordinary colors on it wow is this what i think it is it's some sort of a hat heater an iron for a hat i think you can see it plugs in over here and you put your hat on there and then make it straight again wow that's an old-school device lovely lovely some sort of a camouflage and a wall over here i don't know why he did that but that's strange that's just very very strange some random pictures of mirrors this might have been himself closet he photographed i don't know why he did that but maybe he sold antiques as well and over here we can see another piece of indian uh indian influence is an indian carpet you can see that from the little mirrors that are worked into it it's very typical for india some more quirky things in this place lots of clothes left behind and i also seem to be women's clothes in here and that's interesting because this woman left him behind maybe she didn't take these clothes with her she left them here another carpet on a wall wow and he also had a bathroom inside of here everything in this place has been left behind for 15 years all the perfumes are 15 years old all left here oh this is a big mess but this they had so many products in here that's just crazy now there's a little storage area to store even more soaps and bars and all these different kinds of things wow a little share here to the side or little a big share that's like this is not a little chair and then we got his bed and this this is the master bedroom of course this is his bedroom where he slept still made with another one of those abstract paintings above it i was just looking and i also really adore this little stove that's besides his bed i think you can open up it up like this fill it up with coals it's probably coal stove i really like the design on it a little window in the front you can exit it also from access it also from the side here excuse me i just hit the camera a little handle here beautiful little stove and to the side here we got another one of those junk rooms oh wow i see something in the back there walking into another bedroom over here this one is not interesting let me just hop over this mattress and i think this yeah this is the daughter's bedroom with the heaven bed in here wow this is so beautiful but it looks really broken it's hanging from a string i think you can see this has been broken here and it will probably collapse anytime soon but the bed itself is really beautiful still made after all those years oh there's a picture of a boy here that didn't expect that interesting we have lots of letters up here this one is from the 5th of december 1929 french letter completely written out wow all left here this was her bedroom look at the chandelier as well hanging from the ceiling i also like the crown up there with the yellow paint it's just amazing and now it's time to show you something something that i just saw from the corner of my eye this is a true staircase from a castle wow it even runs downstairs like that there's a rope hanging from the side here twisty stairway let's go up here i think this leads us up to the attic where probably there's more paintings and more beautiful artworks that we can enjoy together knock knock somebody home oh let's look at this this looks like a busy room a busy attic very busy lots of things to see lots of things to experience first thing i notice up here you got an old school telephone there's no numbering anymore on here that's strange don't know how you would use that one of those telephones oh i also see a beautiful tinted mirror up here have a look at this one wow would be worked into a castle or something like that somewhere a scale in front of it look at this indian jacket wow let's go further up here no way what is this room oh my god i wasn't wrong about the indian thing he was truly he truly adored it he truly adored it wow i really love these cards these transport cards maybe he went to india a lot to enjoy artworks over there and he brought them back home here in france where he displayed them in his castle like this wow this is says air india on here the red one and the blue one mesmerizing just mesmerizing to the side here put some more dolls elephantals camel dolls horse dolls wow this man was a very extravagant man wow then we come on to the main part oh i almost fell there we come on to the main part of the attic and let's see what we have over here a little coffee table with two shares next to it wow this looks like a true french attic a little picture up here oh my god you see that there's a chinese dragon up here i just saw it actually scared me a little bit but it hangs here in the ceiling of the attic what in the world is this i love to go through homes of artists because they are always so interesting these people have an enormous imagination and they just create what they think that's what i really love i do that as well whenever i think about something i just start creating it and i release it to everybody to enjoy even if you like it or you don't like it that's how it goes for me let's see we are now here at the back of the attic and i see another little stairway up here yeah let's let's go up oh this is on top yeah it's pretty hot up here as well i also really like the design of this place how it's made we know in the crown of the castle you can look down from here this is a tennis ball dispenser i think yeah automatic tennis ball dispenser not much more to see up here maybe i can give you a view of the dragon from above let's look oh yeah here it is look at that [Music] okay let's make our way back into the garden again okay now we are in the garden of the place there's not much to see here no swimming pool or anything what you would expect from a castle but there is a garage and there are lots of cars left behind that we still have to see so let's go in there okay let me see my friends should be also in a garage we have already two cars over here they are pretty new let's take a look at them and fiat renault excuse me where are they okay thank you for opening the gates wow i just found them they were inside of the garage over here and here the cars are left behind wow and here are yeah this one is not that special it's just a normal run around family car but here we got a fiat 850. it's not really that expensive of a car but it's a cool car to drive around in summer and he must have enjoyed this car a lot fiat 850. wow have a look inside the seats have been taken out i think it's a pretty cool car actually i like cabrios i would love to have one myself i can't open the hood anymore this was the carriage itself it seems like he also worked on cars a little bit he has a lot of things for the cars in here and yeah he might have been he was a handyman he loved to make odd art and also did other things like fix up things inside of his castle and yeah i truly adore that people that are handy wow lovely to see all of this what an
