Glock G26 Gen 5 | 1,000 rounds

sup everyone Connor with guns and stuff this is the Glock 26 Gen 5 I have 966 rounds through this pistol I have two mags in my pocket that'll take me up to 1,000 rounds it's been almost perfect there's been one issue that I want to talk about but let's go ahead and shoot let me get my other ear in so you got ears so we're going to get this up to a thousand rounds show you guys that it works all right that's a thousand rounds easy enough let's go to the table top and talk about this and show you some other things too so before we go any further I want to give a shout out to George for helping me out with this video thank you very much and I truly do appreciate it okay so a thousand rounds through the Glock 26 Gen 5 you guys can see here I've got my 17 Gen 5 + 26 agenda for the mo I just poked through the block was American Eagle 115 I have about 350 ish of those 1000 rounds or this ammo and the other 650 ish is this so I've had two different types of ammo through the gun and no malfunctions in those 1000 rounds with this gun unfortunately Glock videos are kind of boring to make because they work and there's not really anything usually to report after a thousand pounds because I mean a thousand rounds per block is really not that much so yeah there's a couple things I do want to talk about the main thing is the trigger so the trigger on the Gentiles I think I don't necessarily know if it's better than the Gen fours but it's different so let's see make sure we're clear here nothing in the gun so with your best kind of looking here from the side angle I want you to notice how there's really no wall you're gonna notice the trigger moves all the way until it breaks so and I'll show you here on the Gen 4 what I'm talking about so just kind of take note of how the trigger moves here I'll put with pretty good pressure you can see the trigger moves constantly there's really no wall so let's go to a Gen 4 pistol and there's nothing in the guns nothing in the magazine well you're gonna see how long the Gen 4 is the trigger hit so what I mean you can see right there the trigger totally stops moving so right there on the June fives it there's really I guess on the June 5 triggers there's constant movement all the way back whereas the Gen fours the Hitman like a wall that you can absolutely feel right there and let's go to a Gen 4 I'm sorry Gen 5 you're gonna notice that wall is kind of see how there's constant movement the whole time so that's just one thing I wanted to show the major difference and again it's not necessarily for good or bad it's just a difference in the Gen 5 triggers versus the Gen 4 I don't really know which one I prefer more I guess the Gen 5 I guess because it feels a little bit like a little bit less just because there's no hard wall so that's something to keep in mind now this 26 Gen 5 out of the box it was a little funky there was a few weird things happening so one of them and it doesn't do it anymore we have a empty magazine empty gun so the magazine's like I don't know the magazines wouldn't go in very easily so like now they're going in and out pretty easily but when I first put a mag in it kind of like stopped and I had to give it a good tap to go in and it wasn't anything like I had to slam it in I mean the magazine still went in pretty easily but that was something that I experienced with this gun that I've never really experienced with any other glock and this is right out of the box before I shot it out or anything and by the way these thousand rounds have been unlubricated and not cleaned the gun has not been cleaned in a thousand rounds so keep in mind now another weird thing that happened right out of the box is the slide stop lever so what I would do is I would lock the slide open and notice how the lever is now up when I would pull the slide to the rear it would stay up so do you see how it just dropped and now that's like look forward it was not doing that so it was sticking in the up position so pretend my thumb wasn't there it was it was staying up so when I pull the slide back it would stay up and it wouldn't go forward so what I had to do and this is right out of the box this is without even shooting it or anything what I had to do is take the pins out I took the whole gun apart I kind of lubricated it up and cleaned that slide stop lever how it cleaned up that's how it goes you guys can see it kind of goes forward under the locking block here so I took it apart cleaned it up I put a little tiny bit of lubrication in there you're not really supposed to lubricate that area and I put the gun back together and it's fine so but it was just weird the slide lock lever or the slide stop lever was locking in the upward position so when I pulled a slide back it would stay rearward so this particular Glock 26 Gen 5 when I got it it was new but it was sitting in in the back of pretty much an unclimbed control area for a little over a year so I mean the gun is totally fine there's no weird you know rust or anything like that but maybe because it was unclimbed control that kind of I don't know I had something to do with it kind of sticking back like that I don't know that might be kind of a stretch but yeah that was just a little weird never experienced that with a Glock before so one more thing I want to touch on real quick is the Glock 26 Gen 5 seems to have the same kind of weird I guess it might not be weird but it's different kind of where points from the Gen fours all Gen 5 pistols all of them mines kind of dirty but you can see how there's a little bit of wear on the barrel there and then also you can see how there's where the gun actually locks there's somewhere and now you might be asking yourself well how does that compare with Gen 4 so here's my Glock 26 Gen 4 which remember this was a rental gun before it was mine so this gun has a lot of rounds through it I don't know exactly how many but it does have a lot more rounds to it than my Gen 5 you can see how much more I guess prevalent or how much more where it looks like there is there and this gun has way more rounds to it than my Gen 5 so and then again you can look right in here you can see how there's definitely more aware again on the Gen 5 versus the Gen 4 and then just to show you guys what I'm talking about here is a Glock G 45 this gun has a lot of romps to rent this a lot at the range you can see how the barrel how much where there is on that barrel and then also where it locks up with the barrel so pretty much that's how the where it gets there is because it locks and unlocks there so a lot of a lot of doing that you can see how much where there is and here's a Gen 4 it doesn't really look like there's that much and here's one more this is my Glock 17 Gen 5 I don't know how many rounds but there's a good amount of rounds through this pistol you can see the wear points a pretty significant wear right there and one more time compared to a Gen 4 Gen 4 is on the right look at those barrels ever since the gen fives came out I've noticed that they wear and I forget where but I don't know if it was someone that came into the range or if I heard this from Glock but I guess the reason they say there's more aware points is because there's tighter tolerances which I don't know that might make sense because it's on all Gen 5 pistols so it's something that they you know maybe transferred over from Gen 4 I don't really know it but I just want to show you guys that how the 26 Gen 5 is no different it does have those kind of you know where points on the barrel that seem to be a little more happen a little faster than Gen 4 gen 3 pistols so something else to keep in mind I ran this gun pretty hard this past weekend you can see I've got the big dot DX teachers there's video coming on these sites but I really have nothing to complain about I mean it's a Glock you know what's gonna work it's a Gen 5 so it you know has some of the I guess however you look at it kind of enhancements over the Gen 4 I have no complaints about this gun it worked great I had no really malfunctions the only thing is that kind of weird slide stop lever thing and once I took the gun apart cleaned it up it went away so that was just something that was a little weird but unfortunately kind of boring the video here but the Glock 26 Gen 5 it's been a good gun so far I have exactly 1000 rounds through it and this is definitely my new concealed carry piece so I guess that's it thank you guys for watching and we will see you in the next
