Game Changing NEW Secret Rooms! - Rare Secret Rooms

hey guys it's bd1p here with our very first mod review this mod is called rare secret rooms by the turtle melon a good friend of mine here on youtube this mod adds 115 new and unique game-changing secret rooms of the game like this one or this one the primary focus of this mod is to use underutilized mechanics in isaac and give him a new purpose the special version i have here is a modified version that makes the special custom rooms more common so if you're worried about ruining your game's balancing fear not turtle made it so they're more rare than the normal games rooms as well as balancing them out in their own little pool i hope you guys enjoy i'll link the turtle's channel is down below along with the mod go check it out and without further ado here is our 400 damage tm trainer glitch crown run as you'll see when we get into this floor here we're gonna have three secret rooms that's due to a luna as well as um fragmented card both give you plus one secret rooms per floor so very nice to have on this mod to see plenty and plenty of rooms and get the general gist out there oh no you poor things what did they ever do to you turtle this is a call out post for turtle melon what do those beggars ever do to you they were just there trying to give me they were just asking for money they were helpless and you blew them out of the freaking water dude i can't forgive you anymore in the base game secret rooms are like extremely valuable but this mod makes it even more valuable which is very cool because i think it uses a lot of you know underutilized mechanics and isaac and there's some rooms that use um bombino's pacifist you know mechanic for giving you an item there's rooms that use great gideon's chaos card shop for giving you items there's rooms that use little portals and you know uh like 99 cent items and stuff there's a lot of variety that i think isaac is lacking when it comes to these secret rooms because when you open one up what do you expect to see you want to see an item in there that's kind of all you want to see right you want to see i want to see you know an r key or like uh some kind of powerful death certificate item in the secret room here what if we had more variety to that what if it was like i want to look i want to find this specific you know great gideon room this adds a lot of that choice in that variety and then agency to the game that i think is going to be very very beneficial i don't want to say filler but more filler type ones i almost had a heart attack we get one up here though that's a pretty good item that's really really good actually okay that's a cool effect though having the the bishop slow watch out watch out watch out having the uh what do i oh yeah i dropped gives you two shots having the bishops like protect them but then they all die in waves anyways that was nice wow we got wait did we just get like five secret rooms off wait there is one right here isn't there yeah right here we kill this does it break into a key eventually oh it opened up the room oh it was an enemy oh that's cool that's a really unique mechanic i don't know what would do that i don't know like i don't know it counted as like an actual enemy i had to kill because in altergreed's fight those die when he dies that's interesting since i'm talking about man it utilizes underused mechanics in this game makes them a bit more applicable very cool very cool i look forward to this uh this run popping up like i i know i'm calling right now 99 cent arkey in this room right down here that's my biggest call it's gonna happen just wait for it just wait for it right here watch watch watch whoa whoa get the hell out of here oh my god [Music] these rooms are also a little bit scarier i'm realizing now they're actually a bit terrifying to walk into horse pill retro that's gonna be here for a while isn't it huh we gotta find our last room here though we gotta go down and find it finally it's worn off jesus christ that's like the worst horse pill in the game why do you even why does that even exist it's a very long retrovision huh what i want to see more of is damage you son of a you son of a okay i could just use the soul to do it but i think that uh this is more fitting that is insanely smart that is insanely smart big props to holy that is such a clever mechanic we only see those fires used on downpour two why don't we see him use more like that because that was a very cool idea it's a trade-off right become the loss for a room but also gain you know random cards pills and other things in the ground that's really smart having the rooms be actually smart for once and like you know utilizing more again rare mechanics makes it feel so much more full and like you know i think i would honestly say better i like this more than base game i think i i that i did not like it all that was okay that was okay this room as well i think i like a lot it's a little too free i think for maybe finding like a magic mushroom here a little bit too easy i think maybe just having like a limited amount of red bombs on the ground would be better you just gotta actually like throw your bombs with some skill you know exploding like you know three red bombs right there you get three bombs blow them all up that could be a bit more i think a bit more balanced but hey not my mod you know it's my opinion but not my mother change all right ah all right well here we are oh okay one mushroom item right there this uh it's gonna be interesting now just keep playing the way you're playing you're doing great work right now you're doing great work still kill there we go okay jesus christ um we will go negative because we do want to have the extra damage for our character right now none of these look too appetizing so we'll just move on and go down okay not a lot of items we've had some pretty interesting room dynamics so far so we'll see what happens we'll see what happens uh this time around in the good at this game literally cracked okay okay two items in here what we're gonna do is get a bunch of magic skin charges come back use them all in there and then reroll for for like an r key or something powerful desert glitch crown anything of that nature please dude okay half a heart as the bone man never a good place to be death card guy there we go did not kill you yet though there we go and we get that back lovely we finally got it it is in the streak but still we finally got the r key okay whoa whoa whoa whoa hold you hold your phone hold your phone hold your phone hold on what are you gonna do here okay you walk in become this guy glitch crown is incredible okay so now you wanna uh well obviously you wanna pick up glitch crown because it's insane all right and now we have a lot going on on the ground right here i don't think any of these in particular are worth it for us so what i'm gonna do now because i think we uh i've kind of outran our course for this charge-wise on this floor i'm gonna pick up this and i am going to roll amazing literally amazing okay hold on there we go rock bottom i guess just pick pick it up and then use this huh oh wow okay forget me now would be nice we got to take our r key with us so what you want to do here pick this back up uh you want to go for chaos here before that's dad's ring is before ks there's chaos and then probably oh i want to say lost soul right here for the argus i'm missing no there's lost soul oh this is a strat this is a strat hold on hold on hold on this is the place oh we killed him we couldn't kill him he's dead right he counts as dead let's go okay magic skin is once again back we could pop and get a second pedestal in here however however almond milk is not going to be a damage down for us and before um is the egg oh my god yeah that was uh probably the right choice i would say probably the right choice let's go on down here and keep keep it going keep it going another secret right here is going to be what is this gonna do for us nothing that it's it's the dogma bed which scares me but i think we're okay i think we're work super okay so we have breakfast for a heal i'm probably gonna take breakfast here after after magic skin the second match of skin that is oh my god i've missed it dude literally i missed it okay well we can erase through these eyeballs i guess makes this fight a lot easier for us okay stand behind this and just shoot oh you're gonna win you're gonna win this run there is no question about that all right i'm gonna go to hush for one reason only we can't win it but we can argue if our items are bad we can our key and get out of there if we're close to death pick this up get your golden pill let's try it out you can't lose stats you have rock bottom oh well that could have happened i guess that could definitely happen and our golden pill also it deleted itself after that so we're stuck in here for now hope you can beat josh cuz you just lost your uh your d6 shard hope you can beat hush uh not a good situation to be in man not a good situation to be in oh we do a lot of damage though we do quite a bit of damage we lost our reverse uh magician card as well which really sucks for us because that was kind of one of our winning cards against hush right now i think we're fine though overall okay okay okay okay i mean you're doing a lot of damage right now there's nothing to sneeze at for a run of this caliber without having a ton of like necessarily a bunch of power behind it you're kind of crushing this fight it's the almond milk piercing shots that are doing it for us i think honest to god i think it truly is and we would crush these guys so fast as well it's gotta be right nice dodges beautiful dodge there not as much there but hey curse the towers coming out do some boss dammi do some boss danny okay well you're out of options you kind of have to our key now and just pray right at this point all right arkey start over get all your goods to happen here why don't the pedestals all is magic skin like a non-re-rollable thing that's super weird oh well rip that thing huh not not my smartest player right not my smartest play this is the game you're playing right now this is the game you're playing you need how to jump to get over this oh my god it's also it's magic skin i can't even get the item out of that we just we should just grab magic skin at this point dude we have nothing else to hold let's just grab it and hold on to it it won't show up again now we get we get more pedestals that way all right boss fight here we go just that easy just that easy oh once again once again it happens what did they ever do to you man what did they ever do to you looking in the sunshine love to play that a little bit if you don't mind gain give me some money on this floor maybe maybe the dollar will be nice to see you never know just throwing stuff out there for you actually not bad with uh magic skin to have that in here we could maybe get another r key potentially here more money is what i asked for more money is what i asked for there we go kimo lacria you can't pass that up dude there we got it we got it look at how big what i wanted to do right there okay beautiful okay pay these out is that godhead yes godhead oh wow there's god head definitely crown of light which comes after round of life or double damage uh mystery here just free you pop that down in here wow poly famous huh there's polly there's that there's mega mush but not death cert i see sacred heart i'm gonna go for it after dog food [Music] yeah 175 damage huh that's pretty good that's pretty alright okay well continue on oh my god what the tm trainer hell yeah dude where are you you're after razor got it i don't even know dude all i know is this run is too good to be stopped unless tm trainer kills us which it definitely could it definitely could oh stop you're gonna crash my game save an exit get back into the run there all right see we're fine look at you get your last soul back fast yeah no we won this give me the void portal please give me the void portal give me the void damn well you know runs end at certain points for a reason i guess wasn't meant to be was not meant to be or items for us here uk of death you're telling me yeah oh whoa whoa whoa whoa why do we have 385 damage now what item just did that to us excuse me literally crazy i don't even know how to comprehend this kind of power oh we got our guy back oh sick it's awesome man oh no oh no oh no don't crash my game please go to the end you might die here
