who doesn't love a little Frost s so that is what we're going to build today now we're going to do this as normal we're going to do a level by level guide as well as a Combat tutorial and I've even found some items to really dip into that ice damage so first up let's go into fighter now we're going to be using a sword and shield for this I couldn't find any twoh handed weapons that will do any sort of ice damage or anything like that so we're going to use a plus one bonus to armor while wearing armor this build is going to be very tanky it's going to be very ice themed so if you're looking for a minmax OP build probably not for you if you're looking for something really cool that you can make look really cool this is the one for you so plus one to Armor class now when it comes to our ability points bear with me the reason I say is it's going to be a little weird but it Mak sense so we are going to buff our wisdom down and our decks down and we want a spread that kind of looks like like this we want 16 Charisma 16 Constitution 14 strength now like I said please bear with me this will make more sense as we get into the build for now though this is what we're looking at and proficiencies I would take acrobatics and Athletics for level two we are sticking with the fighter this gives us action surge if you played any little bit of borders gate as a fighter you know how good action surge is okay we are now level three we are sticking with fighter 31 health and our specialization and we are going with Elder Knight now you might be thinking but Dangs we've only got 10 in intelligence why do we want Elder Knight which uses intelligence for spellcasting bear with me so ELD Knight and we're going to use spells that don't require a damage Ro at this stage so let's take invisibility sorry minor illusion and let's take Mage hand and for a spell I would take Thunder Wave cuz I think Thunder Wave is amazing and we'll take chromatic orb and for our expander spell list take long Strider and now at level four this is where the build starts to come into play we're going to our sorcerer now obviously as a frost Knight the first thing we want rare Frost I think rare Frost is phenomenal we're also going to take blade Ward we'll take dancing lights and we'll take bone chill and for our two spells here we are obviously going to take ice knife and I take Shield this is going to be a key part of this build it's such a great spell to have we want to go to our draconic bloodline and we're going to take draconic ancestry white we're going to have that cold damage pick any sort of skilles you think look cool we're going to go with the agath coronate okay level five we are sticking with the sorcerer now we have another spell at this point and I will take false life which will give you temporary hit points okay for our passes we're going to take careful spell and twin spell spells that only target one creature can Target an additional creature which means our rare Frost can now hit two people at level six we are of course sticking with the sorcerer we now have a level two spell slot and for a tanky Frost Knight build my choice would be blur attacks have disadvantage on attackers have disadvantage on attack rolls against you and it doesn't affect creatures that don't rely on sight or can see through Illusions this is a concentration spell but we do have 16 Constitution and we have Proficiency in Constitution saving throws if you want to be tanky a high AC a bit of blur arm of agus and you're laughing and for this we are going to take quickened spell at level seven again sticking with the sorcerer this gives us access to our first feet but more importantly we have a spell to take first and for this we're just going to take lights and now there's a few very good options here for what you could take mirror image is really good um this would really boost up your AC I think Misty step is phenomenal but considering you can get Misti step in other forms might not be worth it I personally would take mirror image and at this point depending on what items you decide to use or what not I would probably take an ASI you could if you choose to take something such as Savage attacker but I don't think it's quite that important at this point for me I would take the ability score and I would bump my Charisma up to 18 and we have a third level spell and for me obviously SLE storm call for a storm that disrupts the concentration of spell cost dces fires and creates an ice Surface after all if we're a frost Warrior Frost Knight sleet storm is perfect and this is what we are looking for sorcerer level six we get this at level 9 Affinity Elemental Affinity damage so when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type associated with your draconic ancestry you add your charisma modifier to the damage as well as resistance when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type Associated you can spend one sorcery point to gain resistance to that damage and at this point I would either take haste or I would take counter spell it really depends if you have someone else in your party that has counter spell take haste and at level 10 we go back to fighter now I would take protection from Good and Evil and again I'll take the SI and I'll bump your charisma up to 20 we now have an extra attack at level 5 and we now have 97 health and our final level we have a new Fe available and this would be where I take Savage attacker when making a melee damage attack you roll your damage dice twice and use the highest result okay so that is our build all summed up shall we now talk about some weapons so first up I would take the flail of Ages now you get this at act three so up until that point you can really use whatever weapon you'd like um but I would take the FL of Ages because you can choose which element to put on it and you can choose ice damage obviously Frost Knight ice damage flail it's really good it also has tenacity which means if you miss an attack you still do your strength modifier in bling damage for a shield I would take the absolute protector this is a shield that allows the welder to cast fire Shield chill once per long rest it also adds a plus two to your armor class which means if you decide you don't use armor of agathys you can throw up fire Shield chill and it will last you until your long rest you can also use both of these spells so once one runs out you could cast the other when it comes to helmets there aren't too many that really fit this theme but the first is the Grim skull Helm and this is a helmet that grants fire resistance ice Knight fire resistance kind of works thematically as well as protecting the wearer from critical hits it also allows you to CH to cast Hunter Mark as a first level spell but please note this is a concentration so you would not be able to pair this with s like blur or haste my personal choice because I think it looks the best is the Helm of ban it also allows you to heal for two hit points at the beginning of every turn as a plus one to your armor class and saving throws doesn't allow you to be stunned or critically hit armor wise I taking in this build very simple plus two plate armor it's a heavy armor but it's 20 um AC overall and you take two less damage from slashing piercing and bludgeoning pair this with higher AC from your Shield along with any other items if you put the helmet Bordan on that's now an AC of 24 throw up arm of agist or a fire Shield chill and you really got a very tanky durable night for gloves my first choice would be the gloves of the growing underdog now these allow you to have advantage on melee attack rolls while surrounded by two or more foes this is really good if you really want to be in the pocket and you just want to be that tank that people try and hit while you're Ranger or your Rogue or or your pure wizard is dealing the damage from afar there's also the Winter's clutches now these are a pair of uncommon gloves that deal cold damage so when you deal cold damage you inflict the wear with two turns of encrusted with frost which I think is key for this build this would be my choice to put on when it comes to Boots the first thing I found was the evasive shoes nothing spectacular about these apart from the fact you get a plus one to your acrobatics and a plus one to your armor cloth there's also the boots of Elemental momentum these whenever you deal cold damage with a spell or can trip will give you momentum for two turns as well as give you Athletics plus one there's also the vital conduit boots now if you watched my jack of all trades these are boots I recommended there as well and these Grant the wearer eight temporary hit points when you cast a spell that requires concentration so if you were to do a blur or if you were to do a sleep storm or a haste as long as you don't have armor of AG this giving you extra hit points or false life these would stack on top when it comes to necklaces we have an amulet this one is the necklace of Elemental augmentation so when you have a can trip that deals cold damage you add your spell casting modifier to the damage dealt there's also the Amulet of Greater Health this is a act three amulet you can look up how to find this yourself I don't want to ruin it for you but this bumps your Constitution score to 23 Rings again there's the Ring of Elemental infusion so when you deal cold damage with a spell or cantrip it will element Infuse your weapon this isn't really any good when it comes to act three because our flare is already cold damage but it will work if you have a sword or whatnot and until the end of your next turn you do an additional 1 D4 damage of the element on your first successful hit there is also the snow burst ring so when the we when the wielder deals cold damage they'll create a 4.5 M circle of ice around the Target and this could be very helpful if you just want to make people slip and stuff like that the killer sweetheart so this grants executioner which anyone who has used carlac or saw carac in my main let's play will see executioner is an amazing ability it allows you when you kill a creature to make your next hit a critical hit which means if you have two attacks like we do if you manage to finish one enemy off and can run up to the next one you can instantly hit them with a critical hit okay for cloaks number one is the cloak of protection Armor class plus one and a saving throw plus one and that is the items I recommend for this build so we're going to go get some we are going to go find some combat and show you how this build works in the thick of it okay so as you can see we have equipped ourselves with the flare of Ages as I mentioned and the absolute protector so this is The Shield that gives fire Shield chill and a flare that we can Infuse with ice damage we've also equipped it the Ring of regeneration just cuz it's all I could find and plate armor plus two now to really tie off this sort of build and the look obviously use some dye and make yourself look like a frost KN we're going to use the light blue Dy and there you go now I would probably recommend the normal blue dye cuz I think it looks nicer there's also ocean which but that's how it looks and honestly if you ever to have a frost Knight silver white and blue is what I would recommend now a few things to do before you start the battle number one weapon bond being an 's Knight we can Bond our weapon this means it is impossible to knock out of our hand it will just spring back I would also do long Strider cast that first level on yourself and the next thing is to decide between armor of agathys or fire Shield chill the armor of agus will provide you with 20 Cold damage if someone hits you as well as 20 temporary hit points by a shield chill you going take half damage from fire damage so it's not temporary hit points please note that but you only take half damage sorry you only take 2 to 16 cold damage for anyone that hits you with a melee attack so it's not quite as good as armor of agus in my opinion but you could throw this up as well as something like balse life so just bear that in mind we're going to do armor of agath this though and then Elemental age this is is because of our flail and we're going to pick the glacier age and now we have a frozen flail so let's go find some combat and we'll get this going okay so as you can see we're in combat and immediately the first attack missed us okay so it's our first turn as you can see we have armor bag pisted up so we are going to demonstrate how this build works first of all our two normal melee attacks so [Music] as you said we did 26 damage 18 normal and eight of the flail for ice damage and they now have the CH status which means they runable to C damage resistance to fire damage which means we hit them again again another eight damage from Ice which wasn't a crit this time as well as nine damage on top just from our normal attack and again another big Miss okay so once again we are back to our Frost Knight now we have our sorcery abilities as well as action surge so we'll start with the action search you'll see just how much damage we can do in one round so we'll start with the chilled person because this is key if you can get that chill status on someone you're going to do extra damage per round so there we can take them out with their first hit take him out the second hit we can then action sech and we can focus on the the next enemy now to a raging person who has be so they take half bludgeoning we still did seven damage and we gave them the chilled status again this in turn allows us to then use our bonus action for a Quicken spell and we can do something we want so we could do mirror image for example so if we throw up a mirror image we now have armor of agathys and we have mirror image so our AC is now currently sitting at 32 ultimate tank if you can throw this up when you're surrounded by people you are going to just absorb so much damage if they can even hit you in the first place so again big Miss and another big Miss thanks to mirror image and once again another big Miss so so so far we have not taken any damage with our person now to test out some more things we can do obviously we can throw up another mirror image and just keep tanking our way through this however we are going to get out of Dodge a little bit so we going to attempt to make our way up here on my feet and with a twin spell we can do rare Frost and we could Target both people now we're too close to them but we can also if we want to get some resistance to cold we're not going to worry about it but this is just to demonstrate how good our twins spell now is now fortunately we did Miss on this one as to be expected but we did murder that one we also still have second wind available now we've taken no damage and we still have full armor of agathist available so it's not worth it at the moment but if you do somehow get hit second wind will save you again another Miss Okay so we've done a twin spell again to show this off we'll hit another rare Frost we're going to not react and unfortunately we did miss the one down here but we did Smash this one another Miss not a single ounce of damage still and we still have enough sorcery points that we could just come straight back in with a r Frost just like this and you see we did 16 and 13 damage now the other benefit is if we were in this position we could do a quick and spell so we could do one R Frost as bonus action and then run in and Club them with our sword afterwards now they have actually managed to hit us they got a 23 but we have Shield so again no damage even when they do hit and we should be able to come in in here continuously deal that damage really keep the enemies sort of sucked into US make sure they can't hit us at all now as I was saying we made some sorcery points by using a level three spell slot so quick and spell we can come in here with an ice knife for example do our fourth level and we just did an insane amount of damage the idea there was I was going to show you sort of how it works to hit them with a spell then run in and hit them with two attacks but we just did an incredible amount as you can see we hit them for 56 cold damage which is incredible because they're already vulnerable so we did all that damage with one level for ice knife that is what makes this Frost Knight so powerful is you're tanky you're powerful you can hit them and make them weaker to the cold damage it's honestly just phenomenal so if you have enjoyed please let me know in the comments below let me also know what you would change about this build if you're new and you haven't subscribed but you'd like to that would be amazing please drop a like and hopefully I will see you guys in my next build video bye [Music] guys he
