Fr. Richard Heilman's Sermon for Thursday March 3, 2022

hope your day was good yesterday i um you know i should lead by example so i had a glorious day uh you know what are we doing we're doing uh our protocol right with this and uh so woke up did my morning offering did the angelus spent quiet time with the lord and just asked him really you know if he could anoint these 90 days as we started out fresh and annoying our parish here and just just asked him to continue to reveal what he wants and that i felt i received that um i was an advocate for what's called rosary walks and uh so i i felt like i was receiving that and i brought my walk my rosary walk to planned parenthood yesterday morning and uh decided i'm gonna do all the mysteries of the rosaries and realize that takes just about an hour to do that and i felt like i was the uh the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier with all the babies the precious babies that had been killed in that place and and uh just walked and prayed walked and prayed for a solid hour didn't have one of those step counters wish i did i got to get on that um you know and then just um of course mass was glorious god contemplating you know that this is a time we put on ashes right that's a a beautiful outward sign of our desire to just want to put out ourselves aside and put god first in our lives and to to give him all the glory and then bedtime prayers just re renewing my day it was just a beautiful beautiful day in that peace and calm with our lord and i pray it was for you too um today's day two and we have this incredible reading uh i call uh uh the money line here here we go um if however you turn away your hearts and will not listen but let or let astray and adore and serve other gods i tell you you will not you will certainly perish you will not live have a long life on the land that you are crossing the jordan to enter and occupy i call heaven and earth today to witness against you i have set before you life and death the blessing and the curse choose life then that you and your descendants may live by loving the lord your god by heeding his voice and holding fast to him what a beautiful day to wake up to that reading on the second day of our 90 days to peace to getting close to him to heed his voice to hold fast to him that's what we're doing during this time so i continue to pray that god will greatly anoint this time for all of us and help us to be the brightest light we've ever been by having drawn ourselves nearer unto the lord please stand gather
